It has this plot: Discord has escaped from prison, and Twilight and company must get the Elements of Harmony together once more.Before you say "This is the best news ever" or something of the sort, keep in mind it is just a rumor. I'm calling "load of bunk" until proof is given.According to the article (which was conveniently updated), an animator of the show (Sabrina Alberghetti (or however you spell her name)) confirmed it. Doesn't say the date is confirmed though.They're going back to something similar to the pilot then? I"m actually all in favor of that. I loved the pilot. Sounds awesome. And I don't know where the 19th date comes from, but the linked Equestria Daily entry says the 17th, which is a Saturday, obviously.I'm going to say now that this is probably legit. December is just when they finish making all the episodes. There's no reason they can't air them before they're all finished (work on future episodes while current ones air). Good writers can do completely different things with similar setups, and this team has yet to really let me down.Besides, with a premise as basic as the heroes banding together to defeat some villain, I think there's definitely more than just one way to make it interesting. I don't think my concerns are very well founded, but they're still hanging around in the corners. I'm certainly not going to assume the worst, if anything, I'm probably going to have to try to keep my excitement from preventing me from enjoying it for what it is.Also, while I don't think a recurring villain would be a bad thing, I hope they don't decide to pull the "balance of good and evil," thing. Don't much care for the trope, as it stems from a concept of morality that I don't care for at all. In my estimation, morality is too complicated to fit into easy black and white, one or the other kinds of frames. So far they've done a good job of keeping their morals sophisticated and avoiding many modern fallacies. (like when Fluttershy said "I'm so frustrated I could just scream," and then did, I was worried that she was going to say "yes, I do feel a little better," because that is a common misconception about anger management.) I would imagine though that they would try and get out the DVD set, assuming such a set will come out, before the start of the next season.
