Always the How, Never the Why (Closed)

Diamond was suitably left out of the loop, questioning what was happening. Valen didn't understand the confusion. It had been explained to her! Obviously Silver Spoon was not just the most beautiful filly ever but also the smartest. She didn't have bad taste in friends so it couldn't be because Diamond was of lesser intelligence. More importantly, Silver directed attention once more to him. She did it by lifting his head and winking at him, which would have been enough to send into a pile of mush normally...but she wanted something, so she would get it. Okay, she wanted him to be less formal in regards to her. It was difficult but with her command, it would be done.

“Oh! Okay, sorry about that. It's just so hard to not be awed by you, Silver. I'll try harder,” he said earnestly, wanting her approval over all things as he blushed madly when she tipped his head up and winked. His heart went aflutter, but she hadn't asked for him to be a slobbering mess. Instead, she asked for him to be good and help her with a new outfit. The outfit wasn't something he would normally wear but Silver knew what was best. Sure he may be a professional model and worked with one of the best designers in Equestria but Silver Spoon had never ever been wrong before and never ever would.

Valen nodded and then happily helped ut the harness on, using the delicately placed buckles and latches to help secure it. He had to take in some breath and hold tight as the harness was smaller than was really appropriate, but maybe it was a weight-loss idea? He didn't need to lose weight now but the future was wide and green. She was obviously concerned about the future! After a minute he had helped make sure the harness was fully on, still smiling and waving his tail. “That should do it, Silver!”

Diamond did all she could to keep the fits of giggles from bursting out of her muzzle! What in Equestria was going on? She couldn't help the question from throbbing through her brain. Sure Silver was pretty good and convincing other ponies, but how in the wide world had she ever achieved this level of compliance with this sort of colt. She knew the kind of caliber Valen toted with him and to see him acting this way was just dumbfounding...but enjoyable... oh so enjoyable!

Silver winked at her flabbergasted friend, the thin smile still in place on her muzzle. Valen stood before them, waving his tail back in forth like an adoring puppy wear...well, wearing the. most. ridiculous. get. up. she. had. ever. seen. She could hear Diamond giggling and stifling her laughter and it took all her control to nut burst out in a fit as well.

"Oh yes Valen! That certainly does do it!" She turned her head to keep herself from laughing. Then she turned back. "You look so handsome! Just the kind of colt I'd like to walk down the center street of Ponyville with." She winked at him and gave him something akin to bedroom eyes. She figured it was enough to melt him into a puddle.

She turned to Diamond. "Diamond Tiara," She winked. "Would you care to join Valen and I for a little stroll?" As she spoke she casually snapped a lead line onto the collar attached to the harness.

"Come on Valen. I can't wait to show off my handsome stallion."

Valen didn't remember much of the walk. Something about the various potions, chemicals, and brainwashing made his memory more than a little fuzzy. He didn't want to think about it...well, more like he couldn't. Regardless, the important thing was what he did remember. It was a bright, wonderful day for a walk, and he was happy to be having a walk with Silver Spoon. The harness was really tight and he felt a little light-headed at times. His tail couldn't help but wag and he barked on command a few times. There was some off questions and comments but for the most part he didn't care. Actually he didn't care at all, Silver seemed like she was having a blast. That was all that mattered! He wasn't sure why he never saw it before but she was simply the best, wasn't she? Diamond was fun too, but come on, nopony was as cool, hip, and chic as Silver Spoon.

As the walk went on however he started to feel a little more unsettled inwardly. Something felt wrong and off, the slowly dawning realization of concern cascading across him like small tremors even as his indecently extreme need to follow Silver Spoon kept him on the level. But as the walk came to its end, as it came to a close, so rose a small note of concern that wormed ts way through his brain and to his lips. “Silver, why...why did we need to do that?” He asked, his voice wavering between great concern and minor bemusement. The harness felt tighter than ever and the collar noticeable with every breath he took. “Why are we...doing any of this?” He asked, concern finally and noticeably evident even as he stood in her house, the walk having concluded with the only logical destination it could have had: The belly of the beast.

Silver's eyebrows raised incredulously. Was that...a question? Was that Valen questioning her intentions? She looked at him, her expression of malice turning sweet as her head turned towards him.

"Well, I wanted to show off what a wonderful colt I have," She leaned in a gave him a quick peck on the cheek. "I'm just proud of you Valen. How could you question why I would want to show you off?" Her eyes brimmed and tears welled. She was oh so good at playing her part. If this didn't get him back in line nothing would!

"We're here!" Diamond trotted up with the CMC hot on her heels.

"Took you long enough," She gave her friend a half smile. "Valen here was beginning to question why we would go through all of this trouble for him,"

"Well golly Valen!" Apple Bloom stepped up. "Looks like you've got yerself in quite the situation haven't you Valen." She eyed the rather tight harness.

"Certainly!" Sweetiebelle exclaimed as the group began to move towards the house. "That harness won't go with your new outfit at all!"

"Glad to see you girls came prepared!" Silver followed them into the farmhouse.

"Oh we sure did! Once we heard what Valen wanted we were all for it!" Scootaloo nodded to the brimming saddle bags on her back. All sorts of make up and clothing and sparkly stuff was packed in there. And of course, diapers, and diaper pins, and baby powder too!

"This is going to be fun! Come upstairs everypony!" Abby lead them inside and up to her room.

"Well Valen,  I guess it's fine for you to take off your harness now...pumpkin..." Silver winked at him, a coy smile on her muzzle.

Valen was beyond himself with confusion as Silver played her little game. He remembered so little and yet he remembered nothing. The context of events were shattered in his mind, that was the single largest problem. That and the order of events, mind you. It was all a giant fog without a start point and without a discernible end. She tried to play the pity card on him but it wasn't very effective. He was scared and more than a little angry at how everything was developing. The tightness in his chest because of the harness didn't help matters, not one bit. More than ever before it felt degrading. He was not a fan of the current development, not one bit. Therefore when she brought out the waterworks he didn't respond by saying whatever it was that she had wanted him to say. Instead he gave her a still confused look that had slowly dawning confusion and anger plastered all over it.

It was then, just as he was about to say something, that everything went very poorly for him. The CMC and Diamond Tiara entered in right then and there, and they all looked loaded for bear. Half of it wouldn't have been much of an issue normally. After all, everypony who knew him knew he was fabulous from his mane to tail and he wasn't ashamed to admit it anymore. But there was a lot of other elements involved that more than a little made him want to run out of the house, even if the compulsion to remain was too strong. Mostly, the harness around him made him outrageously self-conscious. He didn't want to wear it, didn't want to be seen in it. The other half was seeing diaper pins out of an overstacked saddle bag. Nothing about this was appealing and he wanted out!

But before he could give any voice to this, Silver said something and the waves came back and sent him far, far away from the shore. His eyes lit up and his tail wagged excitedly. “Wow, thank you everypony!” He said super excitedly. Wait no, he didn't want to say that! Why was he saying- “and here I thought everypony would be so judgmental!”

She had seen the effects of the spell and potion wearing off right before her eyes! No reason to panic, there was always the magic word. One that she would need to use fairly often to keep this going the way she had planned. As soon as she uttered the word he was back to his tail wagging obedient self. Just like she hoped he was all over himself for her again.

"Of course they're here for you Valen. The CMC can't wait to help you out and make you feel comfortable," She patted him lightly on the head and deftly removed the harness strap. The time fell to the ground as they walked into the farm house together.

"Come on over here Valen!" Abby welcomed the pair inside. "We're so tickled to hear about you an' Silver Spoon!"

"Yep, you guys make the cutest couple!" Sweetie Belle chimed in while she dumped the contents of one of the saddle bags on the ground.

"If this is what you want then it's good enough for us. We weren't sure after last time but, well, if you're sure its what you want now then we're here to support you!" Scoots found the baby powder bottle.

It was the blink of an eye and Valen had a diaper strapped on her neither regions. The CMC stepped back, happy with the job they had done.

"Looks great Crusaders!" Silver clapped her hooves together. "Too bad Valen's about to need another diaper, right dear?" She eyed Valen. "Right?" She wanted him to go in the diaper right then and there.

"Wow..." Diamond couldn't hardly believe what was happening. It was kinda gross but also kinda terribly funny! She held back her laughs for now sure that her and Silver could join in together later. "We'll have you re-diapered and all prettied up quick!" She eyed the colt, still shocked that Silver had him going along with all of this.

Valen went with the flow despite internally wanting to scream. He didn't quite remember how he had gotten to this stage but it was becoming clear that something was dearly wrong. Step by step he felt his body move without him wanting it to, his mouth move- “I'm so happy with this, everypony!”- without him giving the command, and the words that came out were definitely not his. He was led by the CMC and their two friends into the farmhouse and up into the room, where his embarrassment only continued tremendously and endlessly. It was one thing for clearly vicious predators like Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara to do this, but the CMC?

As they started going- “Oh, this is so comfortable!” “So warm!”- all he could think about was ho0w he needed to get out of this before one of the adults saw it. Apple Bloom was a threat because she cared too much and was also kinda gullible. Valen was half-convinced that Sweetie didn't care what he thought, she just liked cute things. Scootaloo was supposed to be on his side but...well, “I'm glad you're here too, Scootaloo,” was all it seemed to take to solidify his fate with her. A part of him hoped that she would think there was something strange about this and try to work it out, but it seemed a faraway hope.

The only good thing was that when Silver gave her little wishlist of events for Valen to follow, he had some control. Well, that was a lie. He had none. But they hadn't eaten while out, nor had he a spot to drink, so there was nothing forthcoming. He tried, his face told the story, but nothing. Besides, what a weird thing to say...right? Well, he thought so. Hopefully others did. Also a possibility they didn't see anything wrong with that, but at this point even a momentarily delay was a victory. It wasn't like this could get any worse, right?

After waiting for a few moments it became apparent that Valen was not going to comply with Diamond's demand. She raised and eyebrow wondering why he would defy her.

"I don't think he has to go right now..." Scootaloo eyed Valen as well. She was the most skeptical of this whole thing still. It hadn't been so long since the last time this had happened though. Maybe Valen really did want this and he was just slowly coming out of his shell about it. The whole thing still didn't make sense to her. She stared at him a bit longer, looking into his eyes to see if she could read him.

"So!" Silver stepped in front of Scoots, effectively blocking their eye contact if there had been any. "Applejack is going to be home really soon! She wants to make sure we take really good care of Valen so let's all try our best!"

Soon all of the CMC were buzzing about. Bottles, porridge, burping, wiping faces, all the nice things somepony would want to do for a little foal. Just in time too...

AJ backed into the farmhouse, her mouth loaded with bags of groceries. "Applebloom!" She backed a bit further until the door swung shut. "I'm home, you ready to-" Her voice cut off as she witnessed the scene before her. "Well howdy everypony!" She noted Valen in his diapered state. "Hey there Valen," She eyed the little ponies quizzically. "What are we up to here?"

Valen looked at Scootaloo. As if whatever foulness had come over him knew what he was trying to do, all he could summon was a pleased smile. It wasn't what he wanted but anytime Silver looked at him, even briefly, it was like a wash came over him. His eyes furrowed a little with a bit of a pleading look to them, and that was all he could muster. What was being pled? He couldn't say. He went to open his mouth but he found a pacifier in it really quickly. He wasn't sure who did it, may even have been him, but a look of contentment found itself plastered on his unwilling face as he sucked on the pacifier. He blushed. In reality, it was due to sheer embarrassment, though how it would be twisted was beyond his capacity to challenge. Before anything more could be done, the whirlwind of burping, feeding, wiping, and nary a moment to ponder for himself started to eat away at his time and energy. He could feel himself getting weary and drowsy...

As that terrible thing was happening, life decided to get even harder as Applejack wandered in. Well, wander was the wrong word. She was the mare of the house, afterwards. But never has the disparity between maturity felt so vast as when she saw him in this getup. She was immediately quizzical. That was good, she was a mare who was hard to fool! If he could struggle now would be the time to put the most effort into it. But all the activity had...wearied him. He felt heavy, tired, bloated, and every time that pacifier had come out for one reason or another somepony had put it right back in. He wanted desperately to tell her what was going on, the truth, but it took all of his effort seemingly to keep his eyes open. They were heavily lidded. It took all of his effort to summon up the will and ability to speak after the pacifier fell out once more, this time nopony putting it right back in. And then he tried to say...
