Switch nods as the game resumes, noticing he had gotten rather engaged in the heated discussion on politics, and made a mental note that it was not something that Flower seemed to enjoy, so was something best left unspoken about, especially with how much the ice mare was talking about her organisation. Despite how much he wanted to figure out the truth behind her agency, he also did not want any of the troubles that came with knowing about a secret that a load of warrior type ponies wanted to keep a secret. He already had enough ponies after him, some day he would have to stop running, and on that day he kind of wanted to have some ponies by his side.

Ice's question certainly was an interestingly simple one, her answer to it being rather intriguing as well, as it reminded Switch that the majority of ponies did seem to get their cutie marks in some do or die situation of majesty and wonder. He couldn't help but chuckle to himself. "Well after your one, my story sounds like the biggest let down. Got my cutie mark after entering a swordfighting competition out of a mix of boredom and desperation. Ended up winning the whole thing even against ponies twice my age and experience, when I finally stopped celebrating the fact that I actually won at something for once in my life, there was my cutie mark. No fantastic story really, just a random decision." He smiles, remembering the day reasonably well despite the time that had passed.

Flower was very much relieved now that the political conversation was over, although, she felt a bit awkward knowing she interrupted something that based on their expressions they both seemed to want to continue. The purple pegasi cleared her throat at the question, surprised by it since it is not a common discussion among pony-folk. None the less, Flower already knew how she would respond to such a question but waited her turn, wanting to hear what her companions had to say.

Ice's story was probably most exciting, something Switch and Flower seemed to agree on based on his words and what she was thinking, although, Flower found it a bit humorous at how ponies seem to be gaining their cutie marks nowadays, everything being so exciting or unique and full of some sort of great adventure. None the less, the story was intriguing but simply hard to believe and only struck curiosity within Flower, something she rarely felt considering she barely paid attention to others. Switch's story wasn't nearly as intriguing but it did fit him well, in fact, Flower had a similar theory to how he got his cutie mark. It isn't common to find ponies with weapon cutie marks since Equestria is usually a very peaceful environment full of happiness, flowers, princesses, and overly powerful ponies.

Once it was Flower's turn, she was at lost for words... For her cutie mark wasn't gained through a talent, but rather emotions and physical stress. The Pegasus thinks over her words, not wanting to sound funny or awkward, she takes a deep breath and shakes her head, "I got my cutie mark... Later... I was a late bloomer, I didn't get into until I was getting closer to my late Filly years... My cutie mark, um, represents my growth as both a pony, mare, and emotion wise..." Flower rubs her snout and shrugs a bit, "I was forced to grow up at a young age due to a lot of personal issues in my family, it was really chaotic in my household and I just decided one day... That... Being a filly is no longer an option, I was already pressured with chores, duties, and a bunch of other things that seemed impossible for me to do now that I look back, I stopped acting playful and childish... Gave up on my tough, rough, and pretty horrible act and just bottled myself up, sucking it up and doing what I had to... I acted more like a young mare than a filly when it came to responsibility."

Flower sighs and leans against her comfortable cloud, "Flowers bloom over time, I am kinda like a flower... I bloomed but far too quickly... My cutie mark represents the wisdom, strength, and the obstacles I overcame... If that makes sense."

"No matter what anypony says, winning a sword competition at any age isn't anything to slouch at! It's no wonder you got your cutie mark when you did if you were able to beat ponies well above your age group in it!. Clearly, it's a very special talent and you've been able to make a career out of it. It's not your fault that those you train have the retaining skills of an upside down, brainless monkey!" Ice Storm replied to Switches story. Truthfully, she didn't know if an animal liked that existed or not. She actually hoped not now so she wouldn't be accidentally insulting something that she had no knowledge of. Oh well, it wasn't like if they existed that any of them were around to hear her at the moment. there wasn't anything around them for a good distance that she could see.

She then listened to Flower's story, and her story.... struck a chord with her. She was forced to grow up at a young age because of a lot of personal issues in her family. Something that Ice Storm knew herself all too well. She was at least able to make amends with her mother, and set things right with her, but her father blamed her for destroying their family when he was so blind that he couldn't see past the name of the family itself, and now her name held more weight than any other in her family. True, her mother was still an Equestrian Renown marine expert, which is why she was in Hoofington now to begin with, and her father was an expert Jeweler, but they still only had their stores. She was on the forefront of Equestrian Defenses, owned five stores, soon to be seven, and answered directly to Princess Luna and Princess Twilight themselves respectively and both were considered friends more than anything! She dare say that while her life had dealt her a poor starting hand, the hand that she drew and made following it was well work the rocky start.

Flower continued to speak. She didn't get her cutie mark until she was late in her filly years, also similar to Ice. She was several years old before she had acquired her cutie mark. However, she chalked that up to the fact that it never really got all that cold in Fillydelphia to begin with. So there wasn't enough ice around her for her magic to really take off and set her free, in a way of sorts. However, she heard that Flower had to make a choice and decide that she wasn't able to be a filly anymore. That part made her a bit sad. She further continued by stating that her cutie mark represented a blooming flower, that at somepony everypony blooms into something special, and that she had bloomed too early. That it represented, Wisdom, Strength, and the obsticles that she had overcome.

"From one mare who lived on the streets to another, I don't know if your situation ever got that bad, but never lose who you are. If you wish to be Playful and Happy, then make sure you can set aside some time for you, and make sure that you're able to do that. Being able to act responsibly from a very young age is impressive, and I know the feeling of being forced out of fillyhood very well. The biggest piece of advice I can give is simply that. While you have your responsibilities, don't forget to be you. If that means you need a break to be a filly for a bit, and relax, then do so," Ice spoke, realizing how silly she sounded at the moment, considering she was the one dressed like a small filly getting ready for bed at the moment. "I do believe it's your turn again? That was only question number three."

As Flower listened to Ice Storm's words, she could feel a faint bond forming between the two, Flower was naturally attracted (friendship wise) to other ponies who held similar experiences  and events in their life to Flower, while it may sound silly to be attracted to the memories and past of other ponies rather than their looks, personality, or even qualities... Flower simply wanted someone she could talk to, relate to, and eventually help them through their own troubles while they returned the favor. The mare wanted efforts from both ends and that's something she could see forming with Ice Storm, even though she is still somewhat suspicious of the blue pony.

Flower genuinely smiled at Ice Storm, her eyes seeming to grow relaxed and her smile humble, almost as if she was half-asleep yet she wasn't, her smile was lazier although held great emotion, "Thanks, it's nice to see someone with similar experience... Thank you..." Flower's smile faded as soon as it came, "Yes, it's my turn... Give me a moment to think." The mare stays quiet for a few minutes before she lights up, "If you could go back to one moment in your life and fix or change anything you want, when would you go back to, why, and what would you change? For me, I would go back to my years in Elementary School, during those years I was not the best... I'm not talking about my grades, my grades were fact, top of my class... It was my behavior that I would change, my mother was too occupied with work and my brother that she never really had time for me, that said, I never properly learned right from wrong..."

The mare paused for a few moments before continuing, "I bullied and picked on other fillies and colts my age for the sole purpose of entertainment and attention, attention being something I was deprived of at home. What I'm trying to say is, the only time I ever received my mother's attention is when I got into trouble, at the time, that was better than nothing even if it was negative," Flower let out a chuckle and smiled, "But now, I look back and I realize I would prefer no attention and being kind to my classmates rather than bullying others to get scolded and spoken to by my mother, it was ridiculous and a waste of time and effort." The mare finally stopped and shrugged, indicating that either of the ponies could answer the question next, although, she didn't want them to feel pressured if it struck a sensitive area in their life.

Switch chuckles at Ice's description of his earning of a cutie mark as impressive, the thing just being a reminder to him of more dark and tragic memories of what came after getting it. "I suppose so, but many argued that I only won because nopony could manage to hit me; I was too small and nimble. Made sure to prove them wrong of course, now I'm tall and nimble, but hey I suppose it had a degree of skill required to win. But a competition is simply that, just a game, not overcoming some large issue at all, in fact there was very little risk involved in mine."

He then listened to Flower talking about herself and her regrets; it was a rather weird thing for Switch to try and imagine the pony before him ever being mean to another one, she seemed to be the sort that wouldn't be capable of swatting a fly really. Then again he knew well that a bad past can lead to a need to fix it, and ponies would normally have the opposite personality as a foal than they gained as an adult; it was a way in which many developed. Sadly now came his turn to speak. "What do I regret enough to want to change... That is a deep question, I suppose I would have tried a bit harder to patch up the rift with my family; that's something that has followed me around for a long time. It's the reason why I have this actually." he tapped his hoof against his wagon "My family were all very high born, wanted to only socialise with others of the same social class and tried to raise me the same, but I got in with all the ponies around me, made friends easily despite classes. Blank flanks, street fillies, I befriended them all and was in fact the last in my group to get a cutie mark. And when I got it... well. Ponies say that you grow up when you get your cutie mark, and I certainly did. I was given a bag of bits, and told to leave home, leave the name behind, and the life I was living there, to have no connection with them at all. So yeah... I suppose now that I've grown more wise with years, I would have tried to go back and persuade them to consider the world through another set of eyes.

The question that was projected by Flower, to most ponies would have caused quite the conundrum. For Ice Storm though, it was a relatively easy answer. She remained silent thoug while she waited for Flower and Switch to answer the question themselves. Flower stated that she wished that she could go back to her elementary school years and change her own behavior. That when she was little she used to be a bully and that she wished she had treated ponies better. Of course, every bully has an issue somewhere in their homelife that makes them feel the need to express themselves onto others in such a fashion and Flower was no different here. Her mother was never around her and that the only time she ever got her attention was when she got in trouble. At least she had that. Granted Ice Storm never tried that. She wasn't one that liked trying to assert herself over others without reason. She doubted that would have changed anything anyways. her family was more concerned about bits and the family name than anything. Bullying would have probably only made things worse.

Switch's answer was of a similar sort though his idea was more to patch the rift that had form in his own family. Something that she herself had already done with her mother but she could care less about her father. He was most of the problem when she was small and that didn't appear to change now. However she could very easily say that she herself was more than he could ever hope to be, and he no longer has claim to the title of father. She only wished that he would come to her for some sort of need just so that she can turn him down and ignore him the same he did to her oh so many years ago. Oh how she would relish that. Of course with the small tick of revenge in her mind the orbs sped up briefly, very slightly lowering the air temperature around her a bit before re-stabilizing. Hearing how his family essentially pushed him how when he got his cutie mark also reminded her of her family. She wondered if her father would have tried that as well since her magic wouldn't have "meshed with the family business". She shook the thoughts though. She didn't need her father's blessing, or his approval. She was a strong mare now by her own merit.

"Wow, I didn't know that such drastic family issues were such a common place. I suppose it makes sense though. Especially outside of Canterlot. Not quite as much supervision outside of the capital city so I guess it's easier for parents to do stuff like that without suffering any major backlash from the community. I know my father was like that. He valued his name and his money more than his family and to this day he still disowns me. Considering my accomplishments without him, I find it hilarious but he'll learn his mistake soon enough. I actually tried to go back and smooth things over and with mom it went over well, but Father still holds a grudge. Not my problem. To answer your question though, my truthful answer is I wouldn't change a thing. I look back at my past and yes, there were times that it was rough and not fun at all. Line when I was living homeless in the park in Canterlot, but truthfully, if I changed even one thing, just one minor thing. It's ver possible I would not be the mare that I am today, and to me that's the most important thing. I'm happy whit who I became, and I'm doubly as happy that I get to make sure others stay safe and one of the primary officers tasked with defending Equestria." Ice commented. "Who's up now?" she asked in regards to the question game.

Flower's dark magenta eyes became illuminated as the clouds revealed the several stars amongst them, clusters of little snowflakes lightyears away from where she was now. She became easily distracted and barely heard what the other two had said, she frowned more at the fact she felt somewhat left out, they spoke so much more than her and she had no right connection with them... A connection she had with her dear "Flower Sister" where they could speak a thousand words with just a single glance at one another. The idea saddened Flower more and she felt guilty once more about her sudden dispatch from Ponyville, surely the shy pink mare would be frantic and even a bit gullible to believe it was her fault. The idea caused the Pegasus to grit her teeth in let out a sharp breath between her teeth, making a bold mental note to contact Cherry as soon as possible.

Ice's question caused the zoned out mare's eyes to blink quickly and a shake of her head, her mane falling over her eyes, "I... I believe Switch's?" She was unsure of herself, although, in the end, she didn't care who went next since it was just a game... Flower removed a band which was coincidentally around her hoof, something she only just noticed, her mane has been growing fast and so it's a few inches longer than her usually messy cut. What would be her bangs continuously falling in her line of sight, she pulls her mane back and ties it up, "At this point, whoever wants to go can go... It doesn't really matter, so if you don't have a question to ask, just say pass or something..." While her mane was mostly tied back, a few strands behind her neck were flipping out crazily and her bangs which were cut shorter slightly by a few inches stayed out, it seemed tying her mane didn't help much due to her messy layered mane style.

Switch chuckles, shaking his head as he thinks on Ice's comment on families outside of Canterlot doing that, thinking back to the fact that his folks were Canterlot locals. "Indeed, it seems to be painfully common, though that may only be because those of a linked past tend to gravitate towards one another, it may be less that it's common and more that, without even knowing it, you find yourself drawn to others who have personalities forged by growing up early." As Ice then starts to bring up the butterfly effect, Switch shudders, remembering a run in with a very strange suited pony that nearly resulted in a similar situation "Yes, nasty things to consider if our river diverted down another path, what floods would ensue that?" He ponders, letting out another shudder at the memories.

When it came to Flower's turn to speak she seemed to have lost the flow of the game much like everyone else had, he chuckles softly "Well then, if we're at that stage where we can't remember who should be going next, perhaps it is time we turned in for the night; the ground past here is rather flat so I'll be doing a lot of pulling to keep this wagon moving I fear. I mean, you two can stay up if you like, however just try to be somewhat quiet; I am a naturally light sleeper on account of being on the road a lot, and please nopony try to wake me with the nudge technique; I tend to lash out while waking." he explains, yawning as he stands.

At the mention of sleep, Ice Storm nodded. They were still well away from the twentieth question, but it seemed that everypony had their minds elsewhere at the moment, and Ice Storm herself could feel like she was starting to get tired. She wasn't going to be able to stay awake too much longer anyways before she fell asleep, Not much of a response came from Flower either after the last question, though she seemed to notice Switch shudder a bit as she mentioned not changing a thing and the reason behind it. It perked her interest, but she didn't say anything about it right now. That was a conversation that she didn't think that they had time for this evening before one of them fell asleep.

Ice also nodded when she heard Switch say to not wake him using the nudging technique. That he tended to lash out when woke. "Same here," she stated. After all, she was also an officer of an elite organization. She didn't get there by not watching her own flank. "That being said. we should be ready to move by dawn. With any luck, the journey won't be too strenuous." Ice added as she moved back into her little ice hut that she had made earlier.

The entourage of ponies left bright and early that morning to avoid a longer travel than necessary, just as planned they managed to reach the harbor by sunset within the next day or say. The shining sun was absolutely gorgeous, reflecting off the clear sea and creating orange and yellow waves. The air smelled of salt and freedom, the sound of boats honking and boarding the docks just barely ahead as the three made their way closer. Flower Eyes came back, floating near the two others ponies, letting them know that their scheduled boat would arrive by the time they set foot on the docks.  Flower Eye's calculations were surprisingly accurate, by the time they paid for their pass to board, as well as the fee to bring Switch's trusty wagon along, the boat was letting down its walkway and several strange ponies were piling off as well as trotting on. The small group of three made their way on last due to their heavy luggage which would be carefully put below deck, where a majority of heavy luggage such as crates and goods were, for both safety hazards as well as to maintain space for others.

As they got on, a strange looking... Pony? No, definitely not... More like a crossbreed of some sort, it looked like a dragon and a pony... Flower Eyes has heard of something like this, but her large mind couldn't quite pull out the name. The unique stranger had a coat the color of mud, which was spotted in black freckles around his snout. His front, underside, hooves, and horns were the same orange color, although, his underside wasn't fur... But rather a scaley sort of skin, similar to a dragon, unfortunately, his wings weren't as cool and looked like normal Pegasus wings. His horns were also odd, two sharp but curvacious horns sprouting from his head like a gazelle's. His mane was rather unfinished and messy, a moss and swamp grin stripped pattern and his tail the same, although, tied up in a strange manner, something possibly having to do with culture. To top it all off, his eyes were similar to a snake's, he was something you might only hear about in stories.

Aside from the point, he held a friendly smile, "Hello, I hope you three are having a wonderful evening... If you don't mind, all I gotta do is stamp your tickets so you can settle down and enjoy the trip!" His was a pretty bubbly folk, his smile inviting and his eyes kind. As he takes their tickets, he notices the location and his smile grows into an even brighter grin, "Oh! You folks are heading my way, that's where I get off... My shift is from the morning to sunset, you three ever been to Huangjing?" He stamped their passes one by one before handing them back to their designated pony, "If not, I would be more than happy to show you around... It isn't as complex as you think, just a little trip around the area and you three should do just fine. Everypony there are welcoming, you'll feel right at home~!"
