Las Pegasus.... It was definitely a unique place in Equestria. It wasn't the normal type of city that Ice Storm was used to. It was.... dense, and that was putting in mildly. How Swift had managed to get her real-estate, and sizable real-estate in the center of the city. Though apparently from what she had heard, it was a casino that had just recently been demolished. Apparently it was one of the casinos from "the old city" and it just wasn't up to code any more. Otherwise with that location, there shouldn't be any reason that a casino here should falter unless they weren't doing things right. Right now Her wife and here were staying at the Mareage in one of the VIP Suites. This Suite in particular overlooked the site where their hotel casino was going to be. So much as going to come from that site by the time that they were done with it and when she told the Mareage that she was the deed owners for the land and was a prospective new owner in Las Pegasus, they boosted her from the standard suite to the VIP suite at no additional charge.

So far this was starting off to be a great Vacation! Of course she would still have to meet with the contractors at some point while they were here so that they could start breaking ground on the building. That wasn't for a couple days yet though, and the goal was to be here when the brought the first dozer in. Not to mention, she had another, very important meeting that she had to be here for later in the week. A meeting that would.... if things went correctly, there would be no turning back from. She currently was on her way down the elevator, the orbs orbiting very close to her as to not potentially hinder anypony else in the elevator as she was going to the restaurant. The food on the train was good.... as always, but she had heard wonders about the food here. She couldn't wait to try some of it for herself. She already told Fire Heart which one to meet her at, as she was still getting freshened up from the train ride. It didn't have anything at all to do with the fact that Ice had used all of the hot water for her one-hour shower... But hey! Fire heart was a fire mage right! she could just make more hot water!!

She made her way towards the Osmareian Coltsta, the super fancy coastal Itaillian Restaurant that all sorts of different pastas, hay pastas, and a few exotic dishes that she wanted to try! some of them even had meat that would entice the griffons that were staying at the hotel. IF she were honest with herself, she kinda wanted to try one of the meat dishes... but she didn't want to waste food if it turned out to be something that she didn't care for. As she walked though, she could hear the wheels and bells of all of the different gambling machines that ponies were just dumping bits into. She could already tell this was a great business decision. Plus the decor here was really nice. There was the downside of the fact that this casino had a Volcano already... so they mihgt have to think of something new for the fire side of the hotel. She didn't want to step on the casinos that were already here. That was a surefire way to make enemies in a city where... you didn't want enemies. When She made it to the restaurant, she was greeted by a waitress that was a pale pink, and and the purest blue eyes that she had seen. She almost looked like Aloe, but the mane was too dark of a blue. And she had a different cutie mark. When asked how many, she smiled. "Two please, my wife should be down in a moment." she responded as she was directed to a table.

Fire Heart by kitsune85

Fire Heart was over the moon excited as she woke up in Las Pegasus. The red unicorn heard about so many fantastic places such as Las Pegasus or the Crystal Empire that she really wanted to visit, but for one reason or another she always ended up in Canterlot. That wasn't to say that Canterlot was bad. In fact it was really nice being  the capital city. But she had an urge to explore beyond the comfort of  her home city, and it seemed so did Ice Storm.

The train ride to Las Pegasus was nice, but when she got to the hotel Ice Storm decided to freshen up a little. When she was done the mare told her to meet Fire at some fancy restaurant. But just as Fire entered the shower, she was shocked by the cold water! It wasn't as painful as it was alarming! Weren't hotels supposed to have a steady supply of hot water? Well, Fire wasn't going to let that stop her! If she just heated up the pipes leading to the shower a bit then everything would be fine. She focused on the pipes coming down with her magic, taking care not to melt them, as the cold water began to turn hot.

"Aah! That's better! Now to find that restaurant. I hope I remember where Ice told me it was."

Fire then made her way outside, amazed by all the lights and sounds and joyful ponies around her. She didn't know what to look at or hear first. But she had a mission, get to the restaurant. After a little bit of searching and asking a few ponies, she reached it. To her dismay, this one had a volcano, something she was sure that Ice noticed. She was certain that there could be something else fire related. Maybe just a two towers, one with a flame design and the other with an ice design? The rumbling of her stomach didn't bode well for her thinking clearly. She entered the restaurant and spotted her wife sitting at a booth.

"There you are," Fire said kissing her wife on the cheek, "I thought I was going to get lost in this city. I hope I wasn't too long."

In all honesty it hadn't really been that long that she had been waiting for her wife. She couldn't help but let out a small giggle thinking about the startled scream that she heard when she left, likely from the fact that she used all the hot water for their room. She was weird like that. For being a mare of ice, she loved very, very, hot showers. In fact when she came out of the shower room from anywhere, a cloud came out with her. It quite a cumulus too!! Still she sat at the table and she awaited for her to get there hoping that she remembered to go to the right restaurant. There were many to choose from here and Las Pegasus seemed an easy place to get lost in.

When Fire finally got to her, she returned the kiss to herself with one of her own. "I was just thinking about that actually. That this place is easy to get lost in if you don't know your way around. I just followed the signs. Thankfully they were pretty straight forward. Also, apologies for using all of the hot water for our room... It sounded like you were less than pleased," she giggled. She always loved pulling harmless pranks on her wife like that. Okay, perhaps with her wife's acute reaction to cold, that one might not be completely harmless, but it looked like she was no worse for ware from it. No doubt she'll likely try to bite into something later and it will be almost on fire, but that's something to deal with later. "This place sure is fancy. Much moreso than anything in Canterlot ironically enough. I'm afraid a bit to see what their prices are. I mean, not much is out of our price range, but still," she smiled as she looked to the menu and then opened it.

"Yeah, I can imagine how easy it is to get lost. I think that sometimes the casinos intentionally do so to make you stay and gamble. Oh, the hot water wasn't bad, just a surprise that's all. I made do."

It was a surprise that Ice being a unicorn with strong ice magic that she loved hot showers. This same thing couldn't be said for Fire. The freezing cold could bother her, making her feel dizzy or even causing her to pass out. Thankfully, it was a prolonged cold that affected her, not some jolt of a hot shower. With her wife mentioning that the place was fancy, Fire looked around. It was indeed fancy with all the waitresses or waiters in dressed or tuxes, but the guests were a mix of fancy and regular. That put her mind at ease as there were some places in Canterlot that the staff would scoff if you weren't dressed or acted a certain way. She too wondered about the prices. After all, if you could stay in a fancy hotel with bits to burn at a casino, maybe the restaurant.

"Alright, we open our menus together on three. One...Two...Three!"

The menu wasn't all that bad, maybe a little more expensive than Fire imagined, and surely more expensive than say the all you can eat buffet she passed by on her way to the restaurant, but not a shock. Many of the choices, however, were foreign to her.

"Hmm...I'm kind of leaning towards the Fettuccine Alfredo. What are you thinking of getting?"

Ice nodded when her wife said they should open the menu together on three, and when she counted down they were open. She was a bit surprised when she saw the prices. "Wow... These prices are.... actually reasonable. Nothing like Creme de Creme, or Vermelli's back home," she said looking everything over as Fire Heart seemed to settle on the Fettuccine Alfredo. "That sounds good, or maybe the Eggplant Alfredo, that sounds really good...." she said her tummy growling just thinking about it. Apparently she was hungrier than she thought. She sat the menu back down as she looked over to Fire.

"I never thought anything here would be this big! Like, I had heard stories and everything about this place, but being here, it feels completely different. This is definitely an atmosphere that I can see things getting done in. Though the one thing I did notice is that this place is right next door to where we wanna put ours and they've already got a volcano. I think we'd look like a copycat if we came in and put another one right next to it. Even if ours would be better. Oh! what if instead of the Volcano we can make them Twin Towers! and the fire one can be one of those Fire Tornado thingies that form when there's a wild fire! That would be cool!!" Ice said with a smile, thinking of everything that they could do.

"Twin Towers huh?" Fire said letting the thought run through her mind, "Yeah, I can see that. Maybe having the two merge together at the bottom. Oh, maybe yours could be a swirling ice storm. It does fit your name."

With that she did giggle a little although quickly put a hoof over her mouth so as not to sound. The waitress came over and took their orders before departing for the kitchen.

"So, who's this mysterious pony we're seeing? Is he like some backer or something?"

Ice Storm nodded when she heard Fire talk about the twin towers and possible having them meet somewhere at the bottom and merge into one. That was the original idea to begin with, but now they would need to think of a gimmick for the casino. All of the casinos around here had an outdoor show of some kind, and the gimmick that they had was.... kind of already taken by the casino that they were at now. Ice thought for a moment as to what they could do. "I think the two towers idea would be the way to go.... The Swirling Ice Storm idea would work I" she said pausing for a moment as she heard her wife giggled mentioning it would fit her name. Ice couldn't help but giggle to. "Yeah, I suppose it would, but we have to find a way to include you're element as well. Obviously the name of the Casino should be Frozen Delights and Molten Treats!" she said still drawing a blank for what they could do for the fire half of the gimmick that wouldn't redundant or dangerous.

That thought left though as soon as Fire asked about the mysterious pony that they were going to be meeting. Ice Storm shrugged her shoulders. "I honestly don't know. I was told that she would be here at some point tonight and that she always made it a point to meet with new business owners. From what I'm told, she has a hoof in everything here and can be a very powerful backer here. Having somepony like that helping us here... might be a good thing. I don't think we'd have an issue with it ourselves, but having somepony else hoofing part of the bills never hurts," she replied. To be honest, she didn't even know what this other mare looked like. For all she knew she could be posing as one of the waitresses and watching them to see if they were even worth the time before making a move on them. They would have to wait and see.

(Sorry about the Delay)

"Obviously the name of the Casino should be Frozen Delights and Molten Treats!"

"Uh, those sound like a good name for a restaurant in the Casino, but the Casino itself? Then again, I'm at a loss for names or theme other than it has to have fire and ice. Ooo! Maybe two giant orbs, one like a snow globe and one like a fire ball? Anyway, put several levels, say seven. Each one has rooms, restaurants, and shops. And the two would be joined in the center by sky bridges."

"I honestly don't know. I was told that she would be here at some point tonight and that she always made it a point to meet with new business owners. From what I'm told, she has a hoof in everything here and can be a very powerful backer here. Having somepony like that helping us here... might be a good thing. I don't think we'd have an issue with it ourselves, but having somepony else hoofing part of the bills never hurts,"

"So she is helping out hoofing the bill? Will she have a creative say in our hotel?"

(Likewise, I've been on overtime the last few weeks. Should be more steady now.)

"Hmm.... that's a good point, that is more of a name for what would be a restaurant inside of it.." Ice Storm replied as she gave some thought on the name that she had come up with for the casino. Frozen Delight's was the franchise name, so it had to be in the name somewhere. How to combine it with a fire sounding name that didn't sound like a treat store was proving to be difficult. As Fire began to talk about how they could have giant orbs, and that one could be like a snow globe and the other could be a fireball, Ice nodded. She also came up with another idea for the name. One that was incredibly simple, but fit so well. "How about Fire and Ice Hotel and Casino? Simple still matches the theme, and doesn't sound like a treat shop?" she suggested as Fire asked about the other mare again.

"Yes she will be helping out with the bill, but no she won't have creative say. While having another help the funding of the establishment would be great, we have more than enough to fund it on our own between the two of us. I'm not about to let somepony we don't know come in and immediately thing she can start meddling in our affairs just because she has bits. We'll figure all of that stuff out once she gets here though. For now, let's enjoy our night together." Ice smiled.

"Sounds good," Fire said wondering why the pair didn't think about their names in the first place, "It's nice, simple, and won't confuse anypony."
