Unique Traits: Silver Mane is a master pirate and seaman who can turn the most land locked ponies into a crew of master sea farers.  He is a master swordsman who uses a styled Cutlass as a personal weapon and can disarm moster oppentents with his signature fencing style.  His greatest ability is his deception, he can easily trick most ponies with his unique trickery.  His greatest scam is to have his random crew mates put on his signature Captain's outfit complete with a blue scarf that hides their face.  As such his face has never been seen and he can sneak into towns, harbors, and cities without anyone being the wiser of who he really is and has seen his wanted posters show him as a Earth Pony, Pegasus, and even a Unicorn.

 

History: Silver Blade was born in a small seaside town in southern Equastria.  His father, a sailor, abandoned home and his mother when he was born, taking to the sea in search of adventure.  As such for most of his life it was him and his mother living a modest life in the small town with young Silver Blade mostly working as a cabin boy on fishing vessels while his mother served as a bar maid.  It was a modest and poor life but young Silver Blade was a fast learner, becoming a sailor by the time he was a Colt.  The various ships he worked on saw him become enamoured with the pirates of old and he particular became close with the legend of Scarlett Mane, "The Queen of the Pirates," who ravaged the seas of Equestria before vanishing with a vast fortune that was never found.  Inspired by these tales Silver Blade decided to try and make a better life for himself and his mother.  However tragedy struck him when his mother contracted a fatal illness and seeking money to fund her care he went out to Canterlot to try and sell fish to earn bits.

 

Unfortunately his shabby clothes and sailors accent saw the nobles of Canterlot laugh at him and turn him away like a bilge rat.  Returning he found his mother had died leaving him angry and bitter.  Gathering a crew of Earth Ponies, Pegasus, Unicorns, and even Griffins around him; Silver Blade took to the Seas and became a feared and legendary pirate in his own right.  For over 20 years he has become the most wanted pirate on the seas nicknamed, "The Blue Phantom" for his signature blue and gray Captain's outfit.  Yet this has not satisfied his need for power and wealth, thus he has dedicated himself to finding the treasure of Scarlett Mane, and take her Royal title to become the Pirate King.

Character Personality: Silver Blade is a ruthless pirate who puts his own needs and his crews above any sense of law and order.  He feels betrayed by the powers of Canterlot and the nobles who laughed at him, as such he tends to look down on pompous and snooty ponies.  He is foul mouthed, and lewed as most sailors are yet he is not without charm and grace.  He tends to be respectful towards Mares, Fillies, and the elderly, making sure they are never hurt on his raids or pillaging.  He refuses to harm the innocent or steal from those who would suffer total loss from it, knowing how hard a life of poverty can be.  His studies of Scarlett Mane and her treasure now borders on obessive as he feels her treasure will give him the life he has always yearned for and he will not let anyone stop him from his dream.
Character Summary: Silver Blade is currently the most wanted pirate in Equestria and his skull and crossbones flag strikes terror in the hearts of those who see it to the point he has sacked at least three ports without firing a cannon.  Now at the height of his power he has set out to find the treasure of Scarlett Mane the legendary "Pirate Queen."  His search has seen him track down her old first mate, a Griffin named Iron Beak, hiding in Canterlot who may hold the last map to her vast fortune.  But even with the map he knows she hid the fortune well which is why the discovery of the hippogriff's and their magic pearl has peeked his interest.
