A Breath of Fresh Air (Open)

It had been long enough at this point since Ice Storm had been inside her own shop here in Canterlot that she almost forgot what the inside of it looked like, and her primary residence was still technically above it. So much recently with the progress of STAR and making sure that it was operating within potential, especially with her battleship nearing completion... that she was almost never home anymore and it was starting to weigh on her. She knew that this endeavor that she was on was not going to be easy, and that to see everything come to fruition was going to take some dedication and hard work for her to pull everything off. After all, a princess she was not, and even though she had the backing of a certain night princess, there was still limitation on what she herself could get done within an allotted amount of time. As it stood, she would need to make her final preparations soon. The Shadow of Ice was due to be finished and ready to start her test runs within the month.

Still, she needed a break from everything. A chance to catch her breath and remember where it was she started..... well everything that she had become. It all started right here in this shop. With a soft smile, and the Opalus Spheres resting in her black-scaled amulet, she unlocked the doors. Of course her store had remained open while she was gone, she couldn't just close what had become a Canterlot Staple, but it had been a while that she herself was running it. She paid the pony that she had hired two weeks worth of wages and gave her a vacation while she took her own vacation so to say. She calmly unlocked the doors and made her way outside, feeling the crisp air on her face. She wasn't sure if she wanted to open today or spend her first day relaxing at the park. She figured that she'd flip the sign and wait a bit and see if anypony showed. Whether it was at the park or here though, it was all relaxing for her at this point.

If Ice were listening carefully she might hear the unique 'explosion' sound of a magical teleport somewhere up the road, around the bend. After a moment a  curious sight would greet the mare's eyes - a pony wearing a purple hooded cape was walking down the street, she (for at her size it had to be a mare) was looking all around as if a tourist, but at certain points her gaze stopped and became more analytical, perhaps she wasn't a tourist after all.

As the pony saw Ice, she paused, perhaps smiling "Nice day, isn't it?" she asked "Always good to see ponies enjoying it, even if you have to sneak away for just a moment here or there to do so" she giggled, "I've not seen you for quite some time, How have things been?"

The voice would no doubt seem atleast slightly familiar to Ice, though whether she would recognize it or not would be seen.

Raven smiled as she walked down the street, a little bit of a pep in her step thanks to the fact that her mare-friend was taking some time off from all of her... activities. Icy'd said something about taking a bit of time for herself, away from any real responsibilities. What better way to do that than hanging out with a loved one, maybe go on a date...? She had decided that she'd start out by surprising Icy at her shop, though as she rounded the corner, she saw a mare in a purple cloak talking with her. Either that was a a problem, or a customer. Either way, she continued to the shop, stopping and waiting nearby for whoever this was to finish, or reveal themselves to be a problem...

Rex was walking down the streets of Canterlot, looking for a good view to paint his next painting at when he heard the teleportation noise and saw the strange pony. He tilted his head, following her with his eyes until she stopped somewhere down the road and started talking with someone.

The bird waited a moment, clearing his throat before mimicking the sound of the teleport perfectly before continuing on his way, approaching the group of ponies and smiling at them.

“Greetings, ponies! I am Rex Aurea Caelo, pleasure to meet you. How are you all today?“ He asked, hoping they had heard the sound. It would make a nice joke, he thought.

Well, so much for the park idea. No sooner did she unlock the doors ponies began to arrive. She didn't complain though, nor did she look annoyed at all. After all, being here and this light duty stuff was a welcome relief compared to everything else that she Ice had been dealing with recently. It was kind of interesting though, as the first pony that approached her, approached her wearing a purple hooded cape. She was pretty tale for a mare and Ice recognized the voice, but the mare behind the voice seemed to have changed drastically. That was kind of to be expected though with how things had transpired recently.

If she was completely honest with herself, she was a bit concerned with the transfer of power. It's not that she thought Twilight wasn't fit for the position. Not in the slightest. The problem was, STAR wasn't ready yet. It wasn't fully operational, and if there was any time to launch an assault on an unsuspecting nation, it was during a shift in power right when a new monarch takes over. She did have a few ships that could be ready to go and help provide support and get a counter offensive going, but she was hesitant on saying that she could stop a full scale assault if it came to it. It made her wonder a bit inside if she had made a mistake picking now of all times to relax instead of pushing the envelope even further.

No, she made the right choice. Besides, even if they wanted to move faster, that wasn't an option. The ship was going to take as long as the ship needed. Something like what they were dealing with, especially a prototype design, needed to be made with great precision. The last thing that she needed to do was rush the production of The Shadow of Ice and render all of their hard work for naught by creating weak points in the ship that could easily be taken advantage of, or worse yet, making the ship incapable of flight because of overlooking a minor detail. If it wasn't capable of flight, then the entire project was a waste because there was no way the ship itself could be waterborne, and it was much too heaving for the balloon giants they had now. The aether core had to work perfectly, and for that, every detail needed to be gone over with a fine tooth comb.

Ice Storm smiled from the words that the Princess had spoken to her and gave her a gentle nod as she came back to the current chain of events. "Things have been well, if not overly busy. So much going on at once that I had to take a step back from things and get away a bit. Recollect everything and get my bearings again before I start going deeper and deeper into my commitments. Something tells me you know a thing or two about that yourself," she said with a smile not drawing in on the fact of who she was. If she was traveling like this, she had a reason for it, and throwing her cover away would have been a very disrespectful thing to do, especially being a covert specialist herself. it wouldn't do to make an enemy of the most powerful pony currently in Equestria.

Just then she spotted a couple more figures coming from down the road. One of them was a mare that she recognized quite easily. It would be hard for her to forget her mare friend. Raven had found a way to get into her life at it's most hectic time and she was still able to find ways to be with her and spend much needed time with her significant other. Whether it was talking schematics, or venting frustrations from either side, Raven had quickly become the rock that she needed to solidify her foundation. She gave her a wave and a smile, though she looked like she was monitoring something. She wasn't sure what was going on, but knew Raven had a keen eye just as her. She hadn't left her shop yet today, so she wasn't sure if perhaps somepony had followed them or was in the shadows waiting. This was after all, where the inaugural meeting of STAR took place. Somepony might have noticed something.

As it was, there was another creature that approached as well, though accompanied by a peculiar sound. One that would accompany most ponies when they teleported. Ice wasn't aware of any such sound when she herself teleported, but she wasn't without her own telltale that a teleport had occurred. Two piles of snow served as quick reminders of that, sometimes very quick if it's a summer day. A summer day it was not though, and she was a bit surprised at the spike in business in the approaching cold season. She wasn't going to turn it away though. The Avian quickly introduced himself as Rex Arula something or another. It sounded like a sneeze but Ice remained stoic in her smile. "Greetings in return. I am Ice Storm, owner and founder of Frozen Delights. I am doing quite well this morning, taking some time to relax and run the shop for a bit," she finished with a smile beckoning Raven over already.

The purple cloaked pony was about to respond when she heard the sound of a teleport and turned to see an Avian walk in. Her eyes seemed to sparkle as with the subtlety of a magical chainsaw wielded by Tirek, she teleported over, almost letting out a squee "Didyoujustteleport?Icantbeleiveit,I'veneverseenacreatureteleportexceptaunicorn!Wheredidyoulearntodoit?whendidyoufirstdoit?doyouknowhowyoudidit?" as she spoke a quill and parchment floated out from under her cloak, presumably from inside some concealed saddlebags, but one never knew "Pleasetellmeallaboutyourself!Whatsyourname?howoldareyou?whereareyoufrom?whatsyourastrologicalsign?howlonghaveyoulivedand/orvisitedhere?" all the while teleport spamming around the bird-creature,  the rapid-fire barely understandable onslaught of questions betraying not only the pony's excitement, but also no doubt her identity.....

OOC Translation:

Did you just teleport? I cant believe it, I've never seen a creature teleport except a unicorn! Where did you learn to do it? when did you first do it? do you know how you did it? Please tell me all about yourself! Whats your name? how old are you? where are you from? whats your astrological sign? how long have you lived and/or visited here?

Raven headed over, a large smile on her face. "Sorry, I didn't want to disturb you if you were with a customer... I know how... attention seeking some ponies can be, though I'm not sure I know who your friend here is..." She said, before nodding at the Avian who held the purple cloaked pony's attention. She'd never seen one of their kind before, and if it wasn't for the pony next to her, she'd probably be talking to him as well... Though not as invasively as the cloaked one was doing... "Um... I think if you want any of your questions actually answered, you might want to slow down and let him get a word in...." She suggested softly, not wanting to offend either one of them...

Rex blinked a bit, trying to parse through all the pony’s questions, nodding to Ice’s response. He remained silent for a while as he tried to figure out the questions, and whether he wanted to continue this little joke or not.

“Okay, lets see... Clearly, you, just now, mimicry, Rex Aurea Caelo but you all can call me Rex, I’d have to do the math there, it was a pretty small town, I can never remember the signs, and Roam, years, but Canterlot, a couple days.” The avian said, counting off the various questions and smiling at the pony. “That should be all of them.” He added, giving a playful wink as he wondered if his answers would piece it together for her.

The morning was a warm one in Canterlot, something Kay Dreamer figured out early as the sun rose and began to heat up the crystal oak panelling of her caravan. Given the Crystal Empire's location in the middle of the Frozen Wastes, she was much more comfortable with cooler weather. The Crystal Heart certainly kept the Empire warmer than the Wastes, but it was a very gentle, clear kind of warm. Crisp, if warm could be crisp. Nothing like an Equestrian summer. Evacuating her caravan, Kay threw together some painting supplies and set out to find somewhere to work which wasn't going to become a sweltering sauna in a few hours.

Canterlot had become a confusing maze of a place. Well, it was always a confusing maze of a place, but now it was ten times as large and so ten times more confusing and maze-y. Kay was trying to keep a mental tally of where she had walked, but the paths were all curvy and Canterlot was covered in more stairs than there were in the whole of the rest of the world, as far as she could tell. She quickly became lost - just a small Crystal Unicorn wandering from street to street looking more disoriented as the morning continued to heat up.

Eventually, a tired and confused Kay Dreamer wandered past a store which puffed out a refreshing gust of cool air as she walked by. Veering around to peer through the door, her face lit up even sparkly-er than it usually was. "Ice cream!" she squealed, paying no heed to the assortment of ponies already inside. She trotted up to the counter to look at all the amazing flavours, babbling excitedly to the rest of the shop as she did so. "You know, this stuff didn't exist a thousand years ago!? It's my absolute favourite thing about the future! I mean, the now. I mean... you know what I mean. Right?"

Ice Storm had to take a small step back as Twilight... well... was Twilight. Sure enough the sound of the teleportation spell had gotten her attention and when she turned to the Avian. It was like she was playing twenty questions.... albeit twenty questions in about three seconds. She wasn't sure if she herself had caught everything she was saying because of how fast she was talking. The Avian began replying to as many of the questions as he could, and she couldn't help but chuckle a bit as he counted on his feathers the different questions to make sure that he had gotten them all. Apparently he himself hadn't been in Canterlot very long himself. She'd say that she didn't recognize him herself, but that wouldn't really matter in that regard. She hadn't been back in Canterlot that long herself. So she wouldn't have known him if he was here before what he said or not.

Then Raven finally approached and said that she hadn't wanted to disturb her if she was with a customer. That she knew how attention seeking some other ponies could be. She also added to Twilight that if she wanted all of her questions answered, that she would have to slow down the speed talking. Ice nodded in agreement, but didn't mention Twilight's name. For now it seemed that her cover was still good, cause Raven had yet to pick up on it and she didn't want to, again, blow Twilight's cover. "It's fine, I've always got room for you in my conversations, among other things," she said with a smile to her marefriend giving her a small bump sway standing next to her.

Finally there was another that had approached them and had gotten by them somehow without them noticing. A golden colored unicorn, but it wasn't an ordinary unicorn. It looked like she was a pony from the Crystal Empire, and judging from the way she spoke, talking about how Ice Cream didn't exist a thousand years ago, she concluded that she was in fact from the Crystal Empire. Ice nodded with a smile as she made her way behind the counter.
"Yup! and you're in luck today! I'm the owner of the franchise, and when I'm in the house, all dishes, Ice Cream or otherwise, are made from scratch on the spot. It's the freshest, most flavorful Ice Cream you'll ever taste!" Ice said with a smile. Sure it was normal for a business owner to hype up their own product, but while she was in the building, the stuff that was actually in the frozen part of the counter would not be used at all. Not if she could help it.

"RightRightSlowGotit" commented the alicorn without ever actually processing what was said as she jotted down the Avian's answers, her eyes still sparkling "Mimicry?Soyoucanlearnmagicjustbyseeingitdone?howcomplexofaspellcanyoumanage?Teleposition?Transmogrification?Isitonespellatatimeorcanyouremembermultiple?Canyouuseotherschoolsofmagictoo?Aeromancy?Herbomancy?Necromancy?Hydromancy?Areyouaprodigyamongyourraceorcanallofyourcreaturesdothis?" her grin was painfully wide as she was filling up the page "Spike! More ink and parchment!" she called out, completely forgetting where she was and the fact the dragon wasn't there, after not hearing a response she looked around "Spike!" she then seemed to take note of her surroundings "oh, right, I forgot" she laughed a little unhinged as her horn glowed and in another flash her disoriented assistant was standing nearby "Spike! more ink and parchment!" she exclaimed, not even waiting for his response as her horn glowed and she teleported him back, hopefully sending him to the right place...

"Right Right Slow Got it" commented the unicorn without ever actually processing what was said as she jotted down the Avian's answers, her eyes still sparkling "Mimicry? So you can learn magic just by seeing it done? how complex of a spell can you manage? Teleposition? Transmogrification? Is it one spell at a time or can you remember multiple? Can you use other schools of magic too? Aeromancy? Herbomancy? Necromancy? Hydromancy? Are you a prodigy among your race or can all of your creatures do this?"

It was about time Toboe got some time to walk. Her time in Equestria was interesting so far, but still she found herself slightly homesick. It left this entrepreneur with a desperate need to unwind. What better way than to get some fresh air. Equestria previously had a princess of the night not long ago, maybe that was why the evening sky looked so beautiful.  It wasn't at all like the skyline of Polohama. Toboe's home city was a sparkling gem of magitech development and culture, but it did have quite a problem with Light pollution. The only time she'd truly ever beheld the beauty of the night sky was on camping trips with her adoptive family. In Canterlot there wasn't as much light to drown it out so staying out a bit later to enjoy it once the sun set seemed like a good way to relax on this vacation.

Since the end of the Iron Pony event she'd stopped showing up as her alias "Tokkuri", figuring it was best to just lay low now. It was a good disguise to keep any possible investigators off her tail.

As she wandered the streets with only the sound of her hooves meeting cobblestone and her own subdued humming as company, eventually she noticed some trace of ponies in the air... well ponies, an extraordinarily large source of magic, and ... was that a bird?  One investigatory sniff later she confirmed the last question: Definitely the smell of feathers.  If there was one thing this 'pony' was known  back home it was her nosiness.  If something unusual was going on she had to know about it. Following her nose, Toboe rounded a corner to hear the sounds of conversation coming from a cozy looking residence. A crystal unicorn was at the door, inquiring about ice cream. Ice cream did sound like a nice treat, even on a slightly chilly night.

Just as she approached her shop, Toboe's ears perked up as somepony mentioned being the owner of a franchise. Sensing a possible business opportunity, she picked up her pace and poked her head up through the door frame where Kay had just entered. "Excuse, me." She said as she stepped out in front of the door, "Um... Who said that they owned this plaaaaa---?" Once she got a proper look inside, her jaw dropped. Was... that an alicorn? In this shop? Talking to the source of the scent of feathers? Now that she was so close now she could tell there was a subtle aroma of sea-salt coming off the bipedal bird. Just what was going on in this building? Did she wander into some secret society meeting?

It might be best to play it cool, "Um. Apologies, I didn't expect to see such a high profile pony here. I'm a ... tourist." The mare bowed her head in Twilight's direction. She looked over to the bright blue unicorn who smelled the most like this building, assuming her to be the owner. "Could I come in, Ma'am?"

Kay Dreamer looked for all the world like somepony had told her that Hearths Warming Eve had come early. "You make it from scratch? Truly?! That sounds amazing! Do you have chocolate? Or… or, um… bubbly-gums! You know, that rainbow flavour. Could you please make that?" She fished some bits from her saddlebag, checking them to make sure she wasn't trying to pay with random antique coins again (for the third time that week) before levitating them excitedly onto the counter.

"Oh," she added, almost as an afterthought. "Would you mind terribly if I sit in the corner and paint? It's so much nicer in here than it is outside. Also, you have very…" Kay looked around, as if noticing the chaos around her for the first time. A tall bird person the like of which she'd never seen, a mysterious mare in a cloak and a few other interesting looking ponies, and all of them crowded into an unassuming ice cream parlour. "Very… unique patrons."

Raven blinked as the cloaked pony teleported a smallish dragon and then teleported it back to... where ever it had come from... hopefully. The casualness with which this was done meant that she had to have been a high powered unicorn... and the height... Come to think of it... Didn't one of the princesses have a dragon assistant? Ah, she was hiding her identity, likely so she wouldn't really be treated any different. Raven smiled, and then moved aside as a crystal unicorn came up, and asked about the ice cream. She watched the exchange, and couldn't keep a warm fuzzy smile off her face. She was quite happy about everything, and even if they spent all day in Icy's shop, she'd still count it as a happy date...

Rex chuckled some more as the mare did not slow down at all, and seemed to misunderstand his responses. Just as well, he could’ve meant many things by mimicry. The avian listened patiently until the mare teleported in a dragon, Spike, apparently, then teleported him away again. Perhaps he should end this before she started teleporting other creatures in to demand more writing materials.

“Ah, well, I do have a better memory than most, but I’m sure most of the others could do it too if they learned how. As for your other questions, I have not exactly studied magic, so I’m not sure.” He shrugged before he got a mischievous glint in his eye and leaned in closer to her. “How about a demonstration? I bet you’d like that.”

Chuckling a bit, he cleared his throat again and once again let loose the teleportation noise he had heard from her. He let silence reign for a few moments afterwards before he began laughing, stepping back from her to give a wave of greeting to the two newcomers, though they seemed a bit focused on Ice Storm at the moment.

~~~Ice Storm~~~
The Golden Crystal Unicorn seemed to be ecstatic when she told her that she made all of her ice creams from scratch when she was here. When she started rattling off different flavors she nodded at each particular one. "One of the best things about the fact that I make them from scratch is that I can make literally any flavor that the customer can think of for them on the spot. I don't have to rely on simply what Ice creams are current in the bins or what I have in stock. Even some of the more exotic flavors I'm able to make as long as they bring me something to use for it. An example being if a dragon wanted a Gem flavored ice cream they would have to provide me with a gem for to make it," she said with a smile as the mare ordered a bubbly-gum flavored ice cream.
With a smile, her horn lit up, and she pulled some fresh cream that she had picked up this morning as well as some of the unique flavors that went into creating that bubble gum flavor. She rotated the orbs of cream in her magic briefly, thinning it out as she always did before mixing in some of the flavors and then used her magic to lower the temperature of the cream gently until in turn into two large and very fluffy scoops of very creamy ice cream that she sat in the bowl for the unicorn. When she asked if she could stay over in the corner and paint, she nodded. "Of course! you can stay as long as you like! And that's kinda how it goes here in Canterlot. Being one of the melting pots of Equestria, and the head of most noble houses, you never know whose going to be walking in," she added with a smile before noting another pony standing shyly at the door.
This pony seemed to be in a lab coat and held an eye patch over her left eye. Another pony that the princess would probably question on end. The attire screamed scientist, and the patch left little doubt that there was at least one alchemical mishap, or magical mishap along the way. When she looked towards her and asked if she could come in. Ice smiled and nodded to her. "Of course you can! I just opened for the day and I do not turn anyone away! Come on in and make yourself at home!" she added watching the shenanigans between Twilight and the Avian. She couldn't help but raise an eyebrow as she briefly teleported in a very disoriented Spike and then teleport him away again... If she was trying to maintain her cover at this point.... she was doing a very bad job at it. So bad in fact that Ice felt like she might have to teach her a little bit on the topics of beguile and subterfuge. She leaned into Raven and whispered lightly... "How log do you think it will take for her to realize she blew her own cover?" making sure it was only audible enough for Raven to hear.
The alicon looked excited when Rex offered a demonstration, then when he did, her wing went to her face out of exasperation... and embarrassment... oh she was glad a certain one of her friends wasn't there... in her mind she could clearly hear Dash's voice laughing at her saying 'Oh he got you good!' She sighed, lowering her wing and taking a deep breath "I deserved that..." she said "always getting too wrapped up in research and possible new discoveries that I often completely miss the little things in life" she admitted, returning the parchment, quill and ink to her saddlebags "Sorry I got carried away and harassed you so much"
It was at this time that there was a green flash above the cloaked pony and a dozen sheets of neatly-bound parchment fell on her head... followed by two bottles of ink (which she thankfully caught in her horn's glow before they hit the floor and broke) as well as several extra quills.
She let out an awkward laugh "I guess I wont be needing these after all... I better just send them back with a note" she explained as she scribbled something on the top of the parchment, and in a similar green flash all the instruments of research documentation vanished "I'd like to make it up to you, how about since we're already here how about we get some icecream, my treat" she offered
Raven smiled. "Hmm... About the time someone addresses her, or she realizes that she used a wing there..." She said with a slight giggle. After watching the others for a second, a look of thoughtfulness crossed her face. "You know... I don't think I've ever managed to have some of your ice cream..." She looked at the counter for what flavors Icy could make, before smiling. "Some Butter Pecan sounds nice..."
The fuzzy mare bowed her head and smile as she sauntered in, "Thank you  very much." her expression of gratitude sounded almost reflexive. As Toboe looked around the small place she realized it might have been for the best to hold her business proposals for now. With so many ponies (and birds) present it wouldn't do very good to put this Ice storm on the spot. For now,  toboe waved over to Ice storm. "I don't suppose you have peanut butter flavored Ice cream, do you?" She could kill for some of that right now, "I've never tried it as ice cream before!"
The patch wearing mare would curiously look over the patrons. The cloaked alicorn was definitely curious about this bird at first, but it seemed whatever he did to get her attention took her by surprise.
That magic she did was unquestionably impressive. Unicorn magic was always impressive to see in action. Still, Toboe prefered the familiar magitech back home. Being around it so long made it so much easier to mess with or hide from. All the more personal and old fashioned magic that seemed to thrive in this city seemed almost alien to her, and she was already alien in her own hometown.  Perhaps she could find a way to worm into the conversation in the near future, she'd need to keep her ears up.
~~~Ice Storm~~~

Ice nodded to Raven as she approached the counter and asked for some butter pecan flavored ice cream if she had it. Ice nodded and she started to repeat the process that she had before with the Unicorn mare in front of her before nodding and doing the same to the other mare that had asked for the peanut butter flavored Ice Creams. "I must admit that I've never really tried it like this before. So I'm not entirely sure how the flavors and more importantly the textures will mix," Ice told the tan colored mare. Still though, if she did her process right, albeit a bit longer than she usually does, it should still come out with the fluffy texture that her ice cream had become known for.

She glanced over toward Twilight and the Avian that had been conversing at the door and smiled. IT seemed twilight had finally slowed down enough to where ponies could actually understand what she was saying. She could only imagine poor spikes reaction when the ink and everything she had him fetch was suddenly arriving back to him. She didn't want to be in the area where it arrived... She could only imagine how many of them hit the floor. The smell of the ink alone would be enough to make her blow chunks everywhere not to mention the size of the stain it would leave.

"Here you go! One peanut butter flavored Ice cream for you miss, and one Butter Pecan flavored Ice Cream for you love! Hopefully that won't be the last time I make Ice Cream for ya, and I hope you both enjoy," she said looking back to the tan mare. "Do let me know how that turns out. Usually I use a chocolate Ice Cream with peanut butter chips. That's my first time making straight peanut butter," she said with a smile hoping that the oils from the peanut butter didn't conflict too much with the cream. She honestly wasn't sure how well the two would stay bonded because of it, but while it was frozen that shouldn't be a problem.

Rex chuckled at Twilight’s reaction, watching as she ended up sending the supplies back. He had kinda hoped to include his own apology, but too late for that now.

“That sounds nice, I could go for some ice cream. Oh, and please pass along my apologies to your dragon friend, I hope there’s no hard feelings.” The avian smiled at the mare before leading the way towards the counter. “I would like something fruity, if you please. Perhaps strawberry.” He said to Ice Storm, nodding to the mare.

Twilight smiled "I'll let spike know your sorry too, I'm sure he's fine with it though, its not like that's the craziest thing I've ever done" she laughed a little awkwardly "I'll take a Neapolitan sundae with hot chocolate and rainbow sprinkles"  she said, pulling out enough bits to cover her own icecrem as well as Rex's... and a bit more too as a silent apology for how she acted....

  • 2 weeks later...

Raven smiled as she took her ice cream from her marefriend. "Well... If I wasn't so busy with my research center, and you with your projects, we could hang out some more... Spend more time together, maybe at a restaurant, then go see a movie... When's the next time you'll be free? I would ask about tonight, but it's such short notice, and I don't want to put you on the spot anyway..." She said, a soft smirk on her face before she started to eat....
