The scene is a dark room. Tomb would be more fitting. The walls, the floor, everything is encased in stone. The stench of death is strong here. Carcasses of both friends and foes alike are seated around a great table. Some have rotted to the point of being unrecognizable, while others seem more... fresh. The newest corpses could almost be mistaken as alive, but the eyes give them away. Hallow. Soulless. Dead. Scared.

 

A figure moves. Someone still breathes in these halls? Perhaps. Covered in blood and bruises, they take a place at the head of the table. A giggle. Then a chuckle. They laugh as if what's presented before them is a circus act, and not an act of horror.

 

They greet their 'guests.' No response, to be expected from the deceased. A smile grows on the host's face. He lights a candle, but the glow betrays his anonymity. Not that it matters, nobody is here. He lights another candle, and then another. A cake becomes visible. What could this be...

 

Patchy's smile grows ever larger, and a sincere look of happiness crosses his blood-soaked and beaten face.

 

"Oh, guys, you shouldn't have!"

 

Silence.

 

He starts walking around the room. One leg only moves in a limp.

 

"Come on, all together now!"

 

Something has stirred the dead. 

 

Like a chorus of the damned, they begin to... sing?

 

"Haaaaaaaappy birthday to yoooooooooou..."
