Character Summary: Verde doesn’t remember much about her parents, in fact she doesn’t really remember what they look like or even their names but she reckons that don’t much matter anyways, Ever since she was a young filly she had one task and that was to take care of her little brother Brazil Nut…and boy was he a giant pain in the tailbone!

The boy would wander off and explore caves, get in trouble and lord knows what else! The only advantage Verde had was the fact that she was a Pegasus and not an earth pony like her younger sibling; you would think she would have gotten her cutie mark digging through caves or exploring the woods for that boy but nope!

Verde got her her cutie mark one day when she was walking through town and noticed a little shack of a building that had a sign ‘Soup kitchen’ on it and she had never heard of a kitchen that just made soup! So she was buring to find out about it since cooking was something she enjoyed doing. (Though occasionally tortured Brazil with alfalfa ) Well imagine her surprise when she found out the soup kitchen actually was a place to feed ponies and other beings that were down on their luck, the simple act of a hot meal bringing ponies and beast alike a soft smile of gratitude on their faces. The shine in their eyes made Verde curious and she asked the staff if they would let her help, they were always looking for volunteers so they had no problem yetting the filly help them out.

Verde felt a sense of purpose as she worked there, starting from the back and working her way up to serving, first she washed dishes, PILES of dishes, and organized shelves and helped with the food prep, soon she was finally allowed to work the front and help dish out the food, the first pony she served was a scruffy colt and his family, he had the sniffles and had the saddest eyes Verde had ever seen (sorta reminded her of Brazil when he was giving her a look to get outa trouble) She would never forget the way his eyes lit up as she poured him a hot bowl of soup, and then as a little extra gave him a slice of chocolate cake!

The joy radiating from his face made her soul glow and she knew she wanted from then on to help ponies, and in a flash her cutie mark appeared.

Verde currently doesn’t know where Brazil is, but she knows he’s now a Doctor of some sort and is doing what he loves, she still fusses over him whenever she see’s him and is aware he has the reputation as quite the ladies stallion!

Once Brazil was up and gone Verde went to live out her own goals and spent some time in Cloudsdale, doing odd jobs and helping the helpless whenever she could. In fact it was on a trip to help deliver some food to some workers that were making houses for ponies in need down in Hoofington that she met her future husband! He had the most gorgeous eyes and the kindest look in his eyes and Verde was smitten .

They stayed in Hoofington, him running a business that provides homes and shelter for ponies in need, and she runs her own soup kitchen, trying to run it just like she knew that little soup kitchen back in Bareback Gulch was doing it.

Thankfully all those years of taking care of a rambunxious little colt tempered Verde with patience and understanding which came in handy when she had her own little filly QuickLime. (The name was her husband’s idea; don’t ask her she HATES limes) She reminded Verde of her little brother somewhat, they were both stubborn head strong ponies and she was very sad but proud of her little filly when she left home to do an apprenticeship in Ponyville.

Verde is a very kind and patient pony but she has her limits, and has been known to dig her hooves in and not budge on issues she finds important, like her daughter she is very cuttingly honest and doesn’t have the slightest problem defending herself or her beliefs. However she comes off as harsh and judgmental if a view clashes with her own and it will take a little work to get her to see reason in a situation.

But she is a very proud of her Quicky-Pants!
