Anyone an army girlfriend/boyfriend?

Well, deja vu. I went to boot camp 2 years ago in the same month, lol. I think I know how he's feeling right now, lol.

Anyway, I can't speak for the family of a new recruit since I haven't gone through that personally, but I'll say just find a way to keep yourself busy. He'll be kept busy at camp so the time will seem to fly by for him. He should be able to call and write to you regularly too (although I'm Navy, so I don't know for sure how different recruit training is for the Army). I have heard stories of how much people will notice the recruit missing from their daily lives. Don't let it make you regret his decision, just remember he's taken the step to do something big and you should be proud of him. There's going to be times he's going to wish he never enlisted and he'll need to remember the same. He's going to be experiencing and doing things very few can even imagine and it's going to be great.
