Copper Thorn or Copper to her friends was practicing barrel rolls in the sky and saw an interesting group of ponies and stallions. A lonly soul, she always liked to meet new ponies. She landed near the group and said :
Hi Every pony, I;m Copper. I mean that;s my name, not just my color. How is everyone? Would you mind some company?

Rainy cast a sideways glance at the new pony."More the merrier I geuss."

Syd noticed the new pony, and said "Welcome to our group Copper, My name is Syd, nice to make your aquaintance" with an outstretched hoof and a smile.

Well Hello Syd, said Metal maker, I see you are a musician. I 've met a few of your kind on the road, but they were always too busy performing to get to know. He touched hooves with Syd and looked around at the rest of the ponies to see if anyone else would say hello.

"Well Syd ,my friend Seaspray and I are going to a party later but right now where just hanging out.Youre welcome to join us if it's okay with them."

Why, I'd be mighty pleased to join the group. I see that Syd carrys a guitar. I hope I can hear him play sometime. Thank you for the invitation

Seaspray stood silently at the edge of the group. She looked from Syd, to Rainy, to the other pony.

Copper noticed a shy pony standing alone and looking expectantly at the group. She walked over to her and said, Hello there, I;m Copper and the people in the group are my new friends. They said something about a party later and I am sure they wouldn't mind one more pony. I'll ask them.

"Um, um ... I'm S-Seaspray." she stammered, trying to duck behind Syd. She hoofed at the ground, too afraid to meet anypony's eyes. She grabbed her saddle-bags from Rainy, took her diary of aqua life out of them and proceeded to place it in front of her face to avoid any conversation. She didn't even realise it was upside-down.

Rainy whispered in Copperthorns ear."She is called Seaspray but she is very shy best to leave her be until she gets confortable with you."Rainy looked at the book Seaspray opened up and noticed it was upside down but he got the message....

Syd watched the timid mare duck behind him, and obliged, keeping in front of the mare, although he smiled at this, as she reminded him of his shyness when he was a colt. Syd looked back at the timid mare, and said "Don't worry, nopony is going to hurt you, I'll protect you if need be."

Copper knew shy when she saw it. She backed away and waited for Syd andn Rainy to come up with more details about the party they had discussed. maybe SeaSpreay would open up if she knew she was among friends. Her shyness hit home as it related to her inner lonliness
