Name: Blitz Trigger

Age: Young Stallion

 

Species: Unicorn

 

Eye colour: Bright electric blue. 

 

Coat: Pale yellow, occasionally found clad in REA gear, but he finds the stuff uncomfortable and only wears it when he has to.

 

Mane/Tail: Light sunset orange in colour. Blitz wears his bangs long and spiky, with some tucked back by his ear. His mane is also much longer than the average stallion's, but doesn't want to cut it off and instead ties back the excess length in a ponytail. His tail also has a ring to tie it at the base, which is pointless but he does it anyway. It's also pretty long, spiky like his mane. He also wears a red striped headband.

 

Physique: Definitely smaller than the average pony, he often gets mistaken for a teenager instead of an adult, which is something that annoys him greatly. But he has quite a but of strength, though you probably wouldn't see it unless you got tackled by him.

 

Residence: Usually wherever his job takes him, but when not on duty, it would be quite rare to see him in a large city. He prefers the less inhabited outlands of Equestria to call his true home.

 

Occupation: Low-ranking Royal Equestrian Army soldier.

 

Cutie Mark: A bright blue spark, with a black punching bag in the middle.

 

 

History: Blitz Trigger was born into a line of unicorns that were skilled in magic., the middle child out of three. He was fascinated by his parents' and relative's skill, and throughout the first few years of his childhood, wanted to be just like them. He was fascinated by magic, reading every book he could get his hooves on and practicing it nearly every day. But no matter how hard he tries, it just didn't develop. His parents comforted him, saying these things just took time for young colts, and Blitz brushed it off and kept at it. That was, until, his little sister's magic developed.

 

It was then learned that Blitz had some... anger issues. His little sister got her magic before him? How unfair was that?! The young pony's fascination with magic quickly turned into an obsession, working at it every chance he got. He also became much more irritable, either saying sarcastic or rude things or just not saying much at all. Ponies kept saying to calm down, but he couldn't. It was like playing a game he couldn't win, except he would do anything to do just that. His parents became rather worried about him, and decided to send him to some relatives to see if they could help. But none of them could,mostly because their expertise in magic was enough to make him even more jealous. But not all bloodlines are perfect of course, and things started to turn around when Blitz was sent to visit his uncle.

 

Blitz's uncle was a carefree pony, known as the outlier of the family. He had little to no interest in using magic except for basic levitation spells. This would have annoyed the colt, because that was like under using the powers of a unicorn, but something else interested him. Instead of an upscale home in a big city, Blitz's uncle lived and worked in a karate dojo in Saraneighvo. As he arrived, he was fascinated by the place, though he found himself immediately heading over to a punching bag. There wasn't anything particularly special about it, just a lone punching bag hanging in a rather dark corner of the dojo. But Blitz's uncle was intrigued, and told his nephew to try it out.

 

And so, Blitz went at it. He punched, he kicked, he beat the thing up as hard as he could. His mind was completely blank, focusing on nothing but that punching bag. It went on for a good couple of minutes, when the colt took a breath and stepped back as if he was done. But he wasn't. Blitz's eyes lit up with his last bit of rage, and his horn glowed a bright blue. And then, the bag jerked as it was zapped by a spark of electricity. It wasn't much, but it was the first magic spell he had ever done. Not to mention how great he felt overall. It was as if all the anger inside of him was suddenly gone! And then, his cutie mark appeared.

 

After that, Blitz decided to live with his uncle at the dojo. The older pony would teach students during the day, and spent his evenings teaching Blitz one on one about the ways of karate, and combining it with his spark magic. It was hard at times, as he still occasionally let his anger get the best of him, but overall he was much happier with his life.

 

But eventually the young pony grew up, and found himself moving out of the dojo. His uncle suggested he open one of his own somewhere, but Blitz had no interest in teaching. A bunch students would just get on his nerves. Instead, his heart was set on the REA. It was a great way to put his fighting skills to good use, and give his life some sort of purpose. So he enlisted, and became one of the lower ranking soldiers that he still is today. He still dreams of becoming something greater than that, but this is good enough for now.

 

 

Character Summary: Blitz has a habit of keeping his emotions to himself. If he's happy, it probably won't show besides a small smile. But fear, sadness, and just about everything else he prefers to hide under a veil of sarcasm or anger. Pure anger, however, is his most prominent trait. As much as he tries to keep it down, his rage often gets the best of him when he gets irritated. At its worst, a pony might end up getting attacked, minorly shocked, and maybe injured. But when he can, he'll try take it out on an inanimate object instead.

 

He prefers to be alone and keep to himself, but when he does interact with others, it's mostly through sarcasm. He has few friends, as he prefers to work and train his karate moves instead.

 

This doesn't mean he's totally unkind, however. When he sees a pony that is in danger, Blitz will step in and do whatever he can to help and leave with a grunt. He's in the Army after all, and sees helping ponies as part of his his job. It hardly ever shows of course, but pure kindness always lies somewhere in Blitz Trigger's heart.
