Physique: Lithe and slender.

Occupation: She scavenges by night so she can to make enough money to purchase wax flakes and other supplies to make candles to sell.
Accessories: She wears a very old looking pearl and black opal headpiece. She obtained this one night and fell instantly in love with it - she never takes it off. She assumes it is valuable but she does not realise just how so - though even if she knew, she would never part with it.
Unique Traits: She is very soft spoken due to always whispering in the dead of night so as not to arouse suspicion - when she speaks to another pony they often have trouble hearing her properly.
Cutie Mark: A candle with a bat wing.

History: Flicker grew up in the abandoned caverns of old mines in the Solstice Heights with a very small group of other Aerion. The group lived deep within the old mine and as such never saw much light - not that they needed to with their heightened night vision. However, Flicker did not like the air within the mine and often traveled up to the surface. She liked to watch the stars and she reveled in the light of the moon when it cast it's beams onto the glittering sides of the mountains.

One night she saw something strange - a flickering light on the ground, something she had never ever seen before. She had never left the safety of the mouth of the cavern before, but curiosity got the better of her and she tentatively left her perch to investigate. What she found was a lantern with the remains of a long burning wax candle discarded on the ground near discarded food wrappers and scraps. Flicker was in awe and took the light into her home much to the others' disapproval.

The candle burned for a full  day before it eventually died out and Flicker became very visibly upset - she moped around the cavern for days afterwards until one night, her father who often traveled to Canterlot to provide food for his family, brought her home bag of broken candles he had found. They were smashed, broken and ugly until her father took her outside, built a fire and showed her how to melt them and mold them into one. She had never seen a proper fire before and was in awe at it's light and it's power. Her father sacrificed a small piece of twine from his only saddlebag to make a wick for the candle. He showed Flicker how to be careful around the fire and how to light the candle.

Once the wick was lit, she took the candle back inside and sat with it until it too burned out - too occupied with the light to notice the one that shone from her flank - her cutie mark had appeared.

From that day on, she journeyed with her father to Canterlot and began to scavenge things that she could either sell or trade for candles. As she grew she traveled further and further across Equestria and began to learn how to make her own candles which she soon began to sell during the day - leaving her tired and exhausted the next night as she hunted for her bits and bobs.

She currently has no permanent home, as she does not make enough amount of bits to buy one, but does revisit Solstice Heights often to see her family.

Character Personality: Flicker does not easily trust anypony other than her family and as such regular ponies may find her unapproachable. She is quiet and calculating, preferring to listen than to talk. She is passionate about her candles and this comes across when a pony approaches her stall to buy one.

Character Summary: She is not cruel or mean by any means but definitely comes across as suspicious, especially when she is caught rummaging around bins and bushes during the night. You can find her most nights with her head buried in a pile of junk or sitting around a large long-burning vanilla scented candle.

She keeps herself to herself and tries not to get into trouble but it can be difficult when all you do for a living is steal scraps and things from other ponies.
