Aaaa I dunno

Dunes

I'm considering making this a thing on tumblr. I've had this idea rattling around in my head for a while. Plus those ask blogs look SO FUN but I am so busyyyyy D:

Blast Effect is ex-military, turned to teaching, honorably discharged after a bomb defusion went wrong and cost her a limb. MISSILES OF KNOWLEDGE, DETONATING WALLS OF IGNORANCE, ARMING FOALS AGAINST THE FUTURE. (Just don't pop bubblegum in her class; she startles easy.)

I looked up horse prostheses to A. see if they existed, and B. see what they look like. There's actually a pony twenty minutes from my house that has a prosthetic leg like that, named Midnight. APPROPRIATE. So I used that design for her leg-thingy.

I'm still debating whether or not to do it. Does it even sound like an interesting concept? Either way, I'll probably wait until after I pass my certification test. PRIORITIES.

... D: Seriously? I think if you've reached that point as a teacher, it's time to retire.

Some of the best days I've had as a student teacher were when the students were up and about, working on things they wanted to work on. Half of the class was finishing a drawing project, the other half was either stitching or finger weaving. They were relaxed, enjoying themselves, and working on art! Voluntarily!

(uh, suffice it to say this character is not at all a reflection of my own teaching style or philosophy.)

You drew this no? Somewhere in the deepest corners of your mind is a mean teacher waiting to slap students on the wrist. :P

Haha, that may have something to do with the middle school students I teach. There's only so many times you can hear "HAHA Joey's ga-a-a-aaayyy!" without briefly considering it. :P
