So, I finally decided to sketch again. It's been years since I last sketched something so I'm working out the kinks on my technique. Just used pencils here and scanned it and cleaned up the mess on Photoshop. This thing had a lot of erasures and the original is messy. I have to work on the forehooves, they look a bit thin, her head is a bit big and I kind of don't like the tail. Ugh.. those eyes look wrong.

Ah well, practice makes perfect. On to sketch number 2 I guess...

Her expression is a bit more of a "??" rather than a "?!" If you made her pupils smaller, it might look more like she's surprised :) Also, I don't know if her head is too big, though it might be taller than it is wide and maybe thats what's looking a bit off?

Thanks for the insight Ginger. It's been a while since I picked up a pencil and paper lol. I thought drawing Ponies would be easier than drawing anime, but it looks like I'm having the same problems I had back then... or I'm just really really rusty.
