Arch Machinist Pinkie Pie

TotalEcplise

Sadness can take one to unknown depths, for some it leads to self destruction via a downward spiral in their lifestyle choices, but for others it gives them the strength and the drive to want to do better for themselves and the ponies that love them.

Pinkie Pie lost two of her hooves and an eye, the regular prosthetics that Equestria didn't allow her the freedom of movement and expression that she was use to; however, because of her friend Rainbow Dash motivating her to keep on going, to keep on smiling Pinkie could look to the future with high hopes because she knew that when she fell her Dashie would be there to pick her up.

Until she wasn't...

Tragedy struck which caused Pinkie to enter a deep depression, no one saw her for weeks.

At first Pinkie thought that she should just let the sadness claim her, that she should just let her heart and soul be swallowed by the blackness of the void that Dash had left behind.

"NO!" she said. That's not what Dashie would want, and she knew it was true, for her to let her life whittle away as she lay there locked in her room wallowing in a mixture or anger, and self pity would be a betrayal of everything Rainbow Dash had taught her.

Soon the ponies of Ponyville began to catch glimpses of Pinkie every now and then, but she didn't speak or even acknowledge them at all. All she did was go from specialty shop to specialty shop picking up tools, parts. She even requested several very niche books on magitech engineering, and biomechanics from Twilight. Twilight didn't question anything though, she was just glad to she Pinkie trying to get out and about again.

Pinkie went missing again, this time she held up in Sugar Cube Corners basement for weeks. Eventually she sent Twilight a letter beckoning her to come to the store to help her with something of the utmost urgency.

Twilight obliged and came as soon as she could. The cakes let Twilight into the basement of Sugar Cube Corner. Twilight saw Pinkie sitting their, tired and dirty with parts and schematics strewn about the space.

The two talked for a time and Pinkie told her friend what she wanted her to do. Twilight was quite apprehensive of the idea but with some heartfelt convincing and reassurance Pinkie got her to agree.

When the deed was done Pinkie was fitted with her own new custom prosthetics, they were like none in Equestria and allowed her to do everything she could do before and more! With new found life she bounced around town like her old self, much to the delight of the denizens of Ponyville.

Everything was almost normal...

Twilight was amazed at Pinkie's engineering skills, she had seen the schematics and inventions that Pinkie kept in the cakesbasment. Twilight reported her friends skills to the princess. Pinkie was called to see Celestia so that she could show the Princess and the brightest engineering minds of Canterlot. Everyone was impressed with Pinkie's designs and theories.

Not long after Pinkie was conscripted into Equestria's Board of Magitech Engineers. Soon afterwards her inventions and designs changed everything in Equestria from transportation to energy to armor and weapons. By age 22 five years after her joining EBME, Celestia and Luna raised her to the position of Arch Machinist, a position no pony has held in over 450 years.

Pinkie was proud of herself, her friends where proud of her and she knew that Dashie, wherever she maybe, would be the most proud of all.

Rainbow Dash's goggles never leave Pinkie's sight as a reminder of who gave her the strength to keep going. She wouldn't have made it this far without her Dashie.

I didn't ship Pinkie and Dash... I just felt the need to say that.

This is Pinkie's profile from my story Rite to Live.

P.S. her eye was suppose to be golden yellow as well because its mechanical. I just forgot.

P.P.S I sneezed while inking the eyelashes.
