MasterMustang

A piece I did for user MasterMustang to use as his avatar. I decided to experiment with a dynamic pose,1 and it took me an age to figure out how to get it to work.2 I'm really happy with how it turned out though,3 and have gained a lot of confidence.

--------

1 Given the nature of his OC, it seemed appropriate.

2 Especially the leg in contact with the ground. You would not believe how many revisions I had to go through to make it look believable. However, in the process I learned a lot about how a pony's leg actually works, which I expect will help my future artwork a lot.

3 With a couple of caveats; the background is a massive cop-out; I just couldn't figure out what to put there. Also, the positioning and shape of the tail looks really awkward to me...

Nice. I agree with footnote 2(1)(2). The leg stance truly makes a big difference in the whole look.

1. To my surprise, your footnotes are actually pretty handy!

2. I don't even know how to do this footnote stuff.

3. I suck at this.
