This is a scene from the event thread where Silver Belle saves my idiot peryton from some caribou warriors. There was just something about the way Zoebel described this scene that gave me the coolest mental image. I just had to draw it.

As you've probably noticed, this is a new shading technique I'm trying out. To be honest I freaking love the way it turned out. I wanted to give it an epic sort of look cause I just adore pony drawings with 3D type shading. I didn't add any caribou though cause I'm lazy. Plus I didn't make a design I'm happy with yet.

What, no love for August? Maybe because he sticks out in the snow, but he seriously stole the spotlight for me in this picture. That cheeky yet fierce grin on his face, his wings flared outward, his eye bleeding all over the -

HIS EYE. WHAT HAPPENED. Inkbrand needs to find August ASAP with some salt, beer, and manly back pounds.

Oh my gosh your comments are always so super nice ;-; Glad to hear that August didn't turn out all screwed up since he was giving me the most trouble here. He even trolls his own creator apparently. :I

 

As for what happened, he got cut by a Caribou sword/axe (can't quite remember) I haven't yet decided if he went blind in that eye or not yet. But If he did, he'd probably start wearing an eyepatch cause it looks cool.

One thing's for sure though, Inkbrand's gonna get an ear full of stories when they meet up again. XP

It's so hard to make a cool looking lightning without making it look flat. You succeeded.

 

I wonder how much Experience Points both of them got out of this.
