Found a really nice tutorial today for creating a space/galaxy/nebula background, very simplistic and easy to follow. Throw in some Twilight Sparkle, because why not? I tried Luna, but I couldn't keep her design from blending into the background too much. Purple and pink stood out much more.

Youtube "Blue Lightning TV Galaxy", it should be the first result. I've yet to watch his other tutorials, but if they're anything like this one I'm sure I will love them. He uses a lot of short keys I didn't even know existed and explains them clearly, so I learned more than just what sort of technique he was teaching.
