The Last Unicorn

Lux

"When the last eagle flies at the past crumbling mountain,
and the last lion roars at the last dusty fountain
in the shadows of the forest, though she may be old and worn
they will stand unbelieving at The Last Unicorn!"

This piece I wanted to do ever since I began drawing because The Last Unicorn is by far my favorite story and animated movie! It touched my heart in many ways, how that no you should not be afraid to seek the truth and how friends are precious in our lives.

I want to thank Peter S. Beagle for this great work which inspired my to write a novel soon.

Enjoy all!

The Last Unicorn belongs to Peter S. Beagle. Movie produced by Rankin/ Bass and released through Lionsgate films.

(Yes, it's a non-MLP art. Hey, I draw other stuff too!)

Any love of ponies I have, and horses in general, can be traced straight back to this movie...

I have to say, the shading really brings an extra edge into this artwork Lux. The shadows are much darker and more defined than in other pictures, and they really add another dimension to it. Awesome work!

Yeah, this was the second non-MLP, non-Anthro unicorn I've drawn. The first was way back in 2012. I actually read The Last Unicorn graphic novel before reading the book or watching the movie.
