Zeig

They've only been in one thread together, but Mei and Limi have gotten along pretty nicely. Maybe a little, too nicely...

This took a lot longer to finish than I had originally planned, especially since that original plan had been to quickly doodle something out of an RP. Half because I forced myself to try different poses that I normally wouldn't try, and half because of Mei. Her design means she takes twice as long to finish than almost any other character I have. Except maybe Inkbrand, because of his tattoos.

And, maybe Arc, because of his tattoos.

D'aaawwww.... can Chipper be your best stallion?

I don't imagine anything that can go wrong with this choice..... so yes. :P

A question. is her blue coat fur or scales? She's a Qui-lin (Apologies if that's written wrong), so it should be scales? or is it just her underbelly?

Lovely photo, I'm just really confused.

Ach, I'll just check the character application.

It's really good though.

If I could steal talent (if only) you would be in grave danger.

Light blue is fur; the dark blue patches on the back (which you can't really see from the image's vantage point) and haunches are scales.

Did I ever tell you you were an awesome artist, Zeig?

Only about once every other day or so, not nearly enough, hmph.

Ah. thanks for clearing that up.

What Bellosh said! Some Qilin in art are depicted with their entire bodies covered with scales (because I think they're actually suppose to be more like horse-shaped dragons rather than dragon-horse hybrids), but when I designed Mei I decided to go with fur and some scattered scales, because I thought that'd fit better with the MLP universe.
