  1. All the time. It can be stressful working for people who don't have your best interests in mind at all. I've worked jobs where I knew I needed to leave, I was just afraid to take that step until I was actually unemployed and had to look anyway. Pay attention when you have a leader that is good. Someone you want to follow; the person who has no problem doing your job with you and is interested in developing you. They're rare, but they do exist. Remember that no matter where you work, the circus will go on. Don't talk poorly about anyone or anything there, stay positive, get the job done, move on if the environment remains consistently toxic. It's easier to get a job while you have a job. If all else fails and you're not sure you can go on, watch this video of my friend feeding her husky spaghetti: https://twitter.com/RaisedbyDogs/status/965061567032127488/video/1

  3. Ah, well, I’ve actually ran play by posts for several D&D 5e podcasting groups. We pretty much all just referenced each other by our avatars, mine being a picture of some wooden dice, a pipe, and a glass of tea. So, my PbP name for roleplaying since then has been teaanddice. on a side note, I spelt it like that because the doubling of letters was aesthetically nice: teAAnDDice

  4. Well, it'd speak poorly of Scootaloo's endurance if she gave up after just one little failure, right? She was annoyed, sure - but it was fine. It was all fine. Still, that didn't mean that it didn't help at all when Rainbow took it so casually and easily, making Scootaloo's shoulders relaxed... While she certainly addressed some of her fear with her hero before on that camping trip, it didn't mean that it didn't still linger to some degree. Rainbow already accepted to be her big sister figure, but Scootaloo didn't want to give her reason to regret that decision. She would be too young to know that Rainbow put in those little teasing comments about countryisms for the sake of prompting a giggle out of Scootaloo, but that certainly didn't prevent such methods from succeeding. And some of the brief anxiety that flared up from the failure was clamped down entirely as Scootaloo managed to stand up again, her smile a bit more convincing than it had been earlier. The sense of ease that Rainbow was attempting to instill in Scootaloo was certainly getting there, now. "Okay! Yeah. Yeah. I got this," and maybe it sounded a bit like bravado, but the determined look in her eyes was no farce; she wanted to master this and kick tail with it. And with Rainbow by her side, surely she could succeed at that! Why she thought that one little slip-up was going to bring the whole party down, she had no idea. As Rainbow said, it was practice. The point was to work to get good at it! With a nod and probably the best serious game face that she could manage (which looked goofy and comically exaggerated on her youthful face, unbeknownst to her), she got to work with picking up the rock again as Rainbow instructed. This time, she told her that she would do the count. "On go, then! Three...two...one..." And there she went, putting the rock again on her nose, this time her little wings buzzing in her enthusiasm to master this particular trick. "Go!" Something like a concentrated pout overtook her face, and she was practically making herself...a little cross-eyed, watching the rock upon her nose and keeping it in place, a Very Serious Business Frown marking this concentration.
