Merry Christmas all and a Happy Hearth's Warming Eve to all ponies. Went with out most popular musical ponies getting ready for caroling. Lyra is a bit too enthusiastic and Vinyl decided they would be better with a speaker. Berry Punch, well she is just passing through, going from party to party. Have a joyful holiday!

Perhaps not, but Maud is kind enough to wear them for the holiday because they appear to make ponies happy, must be because how festive she looks.

Just drew this in a sketchbook and scanned them in. Decided I wanted to so something different after I inked them, instead of the normal flat coloring that goes with the FiM style, I went with shading just to see how it would like with the show style of art.

I think I have dawn Luna once before? Well anyway not enough and not in her season two form, which I am far bigger fan of than her original form. Anyway everything was drawn, even the stars in her mane and the background; those are not images I got from anywhere, they too were rendered. Biggest pain was her cutie mark, because it had to be added and manipulated to follow of the curves around her flank, and there is no specific pics how they are supposed to look from behind. I know people will think it as such, but I didn't intend this as a "plot pic", but however you want to interpret it, I just wanted to have fun with the shading and the stars.

Normally one dresses up for Nightmare Night, but Pinkie Pie doesn't follow silly old rules. She instead decided she'll be the mistletoe to better spread joy and cheer. Who better to show her new head decor than her little sister (by only a few minutes) Marble Pie, and fellow earth pony Big Mac. Gotta kiss under (or before perhaps) the mistletoe! It's tradition! You don't want to break tradition, do you guys? Fun fact: When looking up pictures of mistletoe, half of the images were of holly mistaken for mistletoe. Wanted to go show style on this one, came out decent. Enjoy!

Realized today that I hadn't drawn any "thank you" gift art recently, so here's one for PyroBlaze, another person who's been leaving "Like"s for my art pretty much from the beginning. Its his Changeling character Flux, in the middle of a transformation. I really like how this one turned out, the half-Changling, half-pony shot. I did something similar for my own Changeling character - it's pretty fun matching up the two sides that so startlingly contrast each other. Flux © PyroBlaze

I like to imagine Celestia as being casual when she feels she can get away with it, rather than having to wear her royal regalia all the time. So when she is up in the castle early in the morning, overlooking the ledge, she is just chill, she is just Celestia, and not Co-Ruler of Equestria Monarch Celestia, her day hasn't started yet.

After the previous picture, the inevitable follow came as a, "where's the other one?" I like how the Celestia one came out more, especially the hair - I thought working with Luna's hair would be easier, but the lack of different colors actually made it a lot harder. Still, not too bad I don't think. Luna © Hasbro

Haven't done a speed paint in a long while, so I tried my hand at a ruins/jungle type thing, based on an upcoming RP. About an hour and a half of work. Buildings are definitely not my forte...even ruined ones. I have trouble visualizing all the different divots and dips and wedges, so they're difficult for me. Kinda like how the jungle came out though, even though I ended up darkening it too much and hiding the tree roots along the path. Dunder © Dunder

This little doodle stems from a pony art spree I went on a little while ago, trying to get some ideas for pony clothing. Unfortunately, I didn't get much inspiration, because the vast majority of pictures I found featured only one article of clothing. There were socks, everywhere. I honestly don't understand the fascination with ponies wearing stocks or stockings (I'm not nocking it, just don't understand it), which is what prompted this picture. It also gave me a chance to redo Fem!Inkbrand again, since the first rendition was...okay, but the actual execution of that drawing was just terrible. *burns old picture* On an unrelated note, I feel like I'm starting to draw female ponies better. At least making their faces look more feminine than the way I draw stallions. Progress!

Last one last one, at least for a while. My love of cloved-hooved, tufted-tailed mythical equine species has been satiated with the Abada and the Qilin. Honestly when I started writing for this character, she came out disturbingly close to Yuri in terms of personality - excitable and easily impressed. I toned her down and sideways to make her more worldly and less excitable, but still boisterous and gregarious. Also gave her some major flaws, such as vanity and selfishness. Overall I like how she wrote out, considering that I sort of started with just the picture and later developed the character around it. I also can't take full credit for the color scheme on her. A friend of mine actually suggested it to me, after watching me try out and fail at about twenty other color schemes.

Man, I have been feeling a bit down lately so I wasn't sure if I was going to upload this, but what the hay. Cheerilee has very little good fan art, for a character who been around for five seasons she doesn't get much love, so I draw her when I can, which was my motivation here.

Today is the fourteenth of March, the third month of the year. What does that mean? 3.14, that's what, thus Pie day! Pinkie of course loves the idea but Twilight believes another mathematical symbol is superior when it comes being a math constant when measuring the circumference of circles. In short, this is a math joke.

I've been needing to update the intro picture on my character log, so I had the choice to draw some sort of banner thing, or stuff all of my characters into one picture while making them all seem cohesive with one another. I chose the latter...and cheated a bit. This, actually didn't take me as long as I thought it would, probably because I drew all of them as foals and not their proper ages. And probably because I sped through it and didn't pay much attention to making it look really pretty. But it came out alright, rushed as it was. Me, personally? I like Ori's picture the best. Any younger and he would have literally been a ball of fluff~

Another "I felt like drawing but didn't know what to draw" evening, so I decided to try practicing humans again by sketching a MLP character of mine I've yet to "human-fy". I like how she came out, though her expression looks a little bland. Though I'm not good at conveying expressions with this semi-realistic style, it's just something I need to further practice with. But otherwise, yeah, not too shabby. Her hair was especially fun to draw, trying to translate that waving, hair spine onto a person. I think it'd be neat if I was able to eventually conceptualize all my OCs as humans at some point. At this point, Yuri makes...five? ...So that's like, ten more human drawings to go, lulz.

Really lazy coloring and shading on this one, but that's okay, because this was just a random idea that popped into my head, hard enough for me to want to chug it out in one go. After I posted a picture of Dubstep's character Yu Xin, a couple people immediately contemplated one of their characters becoming interested in her. Cue this idea of a bunch of guys vying for her attention in a classic "one girl surrounded by romantically inclined guys" anime pose. Thought whether one, or any, of these guys are actually sincere in their attempts is a mystery. And of course, Yu Xin enjoying all the attention she's getting, lulz. Got inspired to try and draw some sort of formal wear for Mei. She comes from an old and traditional town, so I'd image their formal wear is equally old and traditional rather than something more modern - hence, Mei dressing up in a Hanfu, and taking an inordinate amount of time to admire herself in the reflection of a pond. It's an old Chinese type of dress similar to the Japanese kimono and Korean hanbok. There should, probably, be all sorts of elegant patterns over the hanfu, but I had enough trouble just trying to design the thing on a pony body, lulz. Any sort of outfit that has a high-waisted style is kind of moot on a pony, seeing as their "waist" is underbelly. Still, it was a fun design, and one that'll probably serve as Mei's formal wear should the need arise.

Been wanting to try my hand at an Okami-style drawing for a long time now, and finally got around to it. Of course I needed to draw a character with long, flowing hair so I could cover up a myriad of mistakes, and that decision turned into this. Not too bad for a first attempt I think, especially when trying to replicate a unique art style. Need to work on the body outlining, it's too thick and doesn't taper enough in areas. Still, I like it. Celestia © Hasbro

This one came out better than the Luna one - the different hair colors really help layer themselves, despite Cadence's hair not being as free-flowing as the other two. Also opted not to give her the swirly shoulder things, since I think it gives her a younger look. Cadence © Hasbro

Felt like fiddling around with animation today, so out came this little doodle. Click on the picture and scroll a bit to see the animation! For those of you that don't know, my eastern dragon Yuri is just a little bit fascinated with ponykind. She and another dragon are currently traversing Equestria in hopes to meet several different kinds of ponies, and their first run in is none other than Prince Blueblood. For having to deal with two strange dragons essentially barreling their way into his home (including one that has a very poor concept of personal space), he's being a pretty good sport about it. (Also no, I didn't forget about his horn. It's there...somewhere). Prince Blueblood © Hasbro

Yes another new character. I think I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I'll have lots of OCs that get little to no use. Son of the highly decorated General Pummel (played by Bellosh), Dawnguard is out to follow his father's hoof steps in making Equestria a better place. Hopefully he'll be able to tone down the dramatics enough to actually get stuff done. "My spear hoof hungers for justice..."

Hello, my little ponies. Roleplaying on Canterlot.com can be a delightfully fun experience, but finding the right confidence in your roleplay posts can be a difficult thing. Indeed, many of my subjects over the years questioned whether they truly have the talent to write outstanding roleplay posts. To those who wish themselves to be counted among my faithful students, I have to say that crafting exceptional replies is actually quite easy. By studying the wisdom I impart to you, you’ll soon be able to practice my techniques and learn for yourself the magic of roleplay. Proofreading is Magic. If anypony realizes the importance of proofreading, it would be my prized pupil Twilight Sparkle. While her efforts at maintaining the high quality of her reports oftentimes wear her out, the efforts she makes to ensure her writing is devoid of all spelling and grammar errors or phrases too awkward to be read out loud is truly commendable. If your fellow roleplayers are anything like their princess, they will be happy to see similar efforts. Even though I’m personally quite forgiving of errors (don’t let my student find out!), some players will be thrown off if they see writing lacking the care evidenced by a simple proofread. Explore Your Character’s Feelings.Roleplay is much more than having your character go through the motions of speaking dialogue to other ponies. Like my real subjects, your creation ought to be swimming in thoughts and senses. How does your pony feel about the other characters? How does he or she perceive his surroundings? By exploring the reflections, emotions, and senses of your character, your posts will be more rewarding to read for both others and yourself. Don’t fear making your replies too long; the important thing is that others get a vivid picture of what goes on inside the head of your own little pony. Not All Language is Spoken.Even though writing dialogue is a large part of roleplaying, don’t underestimate the importance of body language. Various scientific experts in my royal court suggest that upwards to 90% of all equine communication consists of nonverbal cues like eye contact and leg movement. To better simulate the lively nuances of real-life conversations, feel encouraged to describe what sort of gestures and expressions your character makes. Just as importantly, make every effort to respond to the body language displayed by other ponies. By minding nonverbal cues, conversations will be made that much more interesting to portray. Reign In the Purple Prose. On occasion, I have seen my RP students go overboard and write up posts so long and convoluted that they are impossible to comprehend. While it is important to delve into your character, it is also vital to do so concisely. Be sure to write just enough to provide roleplayers a detailed picture of your pony or the current setting without drowning them in extraneous information and endless description. Assuming that two roleplay posts each have the same content about a character’s thoughts and actions, the better roleplay post is not the one that spends two paragraphs droning about the alabaster spires of my castle, but the one that only devotes a sentence or two at most to them. Create Opportunities for Responses.Aside from getting inside your character’s head, the other essential element that distinguishes an exceptional post from an average one is how well it provides new directions for other roleplayers to respond to. Writing in-length about how your character came to arrive at a location sadly does no good if they make no effort to bond with somepony else. On the other hoof, having your character communicate with others, causing situations which other characters must respond to, and otherwise moving the roleplay along are what it takes to make RPs exciting to both yourself and others. However, be sure to respond to other roleplayer’s attempts at accomplishing the same task; reciprocation goes a long way in forging meaningful friendships. I trust you can now see that I was quite serious when I mentioned that writing great roleplay posts is delightfully easy. By following these five simple steps, you’ll be roleplaying to the very best of your abilities before you even know it. With quality roleplaying, I have faith that you'll soon find countless friends as you explore the worlds of Canterlot.com's Roleplay. Good luck!

They've only been in one thread together, but Mei and Limi have gotten along pretty nicely. Maybe a little, too nicely... This took a lot longer to finish than I had originally planned, especially since that original plan had been to quickly doodle something out of an RP. Half because I forced myself to try different poses that I normally wouldn't try, and half because of Mei. Her design means she takes twice as long to finish than almost any other character I have. Except maybe Inkbrand, because of his tattoos. And, maybe Arc, because of his tattoos. ... -designs more OCs with tattoos, everywhere- Limi (c) Bellosh

I can't believe this is the first time I've drawn one of my favorite background ponies. This one was a lot of fun. In terms of bad guys, Revenent is right up there with Heartless on my roster of characters. He doesn't succeed in securing the top spot because he can actually sympathize and care about others - he just doesn't most of the time. Formally known as 'Northern Star', Revenant basically deserted the REIN after he became disillusioned with the competency of Equestrian leadership (along with some personal trauma that he blamed on incompetence). He's joined up with WRAITH's mission to dismantle and disestablish said leadership, because that's what all the bad guys do! ...At least the cool ones. *emo hair flip*
