I LOVE the idea of writing Alicorn OCs, and believe that you can write them and any race of character well provided you put enough thought and care into forging them,

Chocolate or fudge?

Ooh, fudge, most certainly!

Once, when my family went to Virginia Beach, I got this nice chunk of turtle fudge for myself. Like, full pound. It had this huge glob of caramel on the side, like, in its own little pocket. Oh lordy that was the best pound of fudge I have thus far had in my life. I actually stayed up that night until everyone was asleep just so I could eat the rest of it, that's how impossible to resist it was!

Fancypants. He has all the money and status to enjoy all the pleasures of the high life, but at the same time, he doesn't look down on anypony based on their relative status.

General translation: he's quite the bro.

I got a bunch of supplies for my birthday this year, so I decided to take my least favorite blind bag and turn her into one of my OCs!

I chose a Pinkie Pie base, because balancing those are an absolute pain -.-"

I turned her into... Masala Chai! Minus the cowl.

Of the trio that is Apis, Mondo, and Mar, you've seen only two. This, fillies and gentlecolts, is the third, and I will turn this statue into the posed mare herself!

Gah, I feel all nastyawful about not being able to do anything this time, but that issue won't repeat itself twice, so next time, I want in! You already have the details.

OCs? OCs are a forte to me! When I create a character, I have a planned concept around them, I make the character, then I come up with everything else based on that! After all, one thing I've learned is that you can tell a lot about a person by their posture, and their apparel! Let's take a look at an example.

Well, what can we divine about Senyor Apis, my main OC, just from his appearance? His face, firstly, gives a very serene disposition, somepony who is calm and difficult to rile up! We can also pick up, from his subtle posture, a bit of humility, meaning he isn't one to boast often about himself! This, plus the youthful and demure hairstyle (manestyle?) winds up to a very mellow personality on the whole. Add the vest and posture with the hooves, and you get the idea that this is a pony with a sense of simple elegance, with a distinctive sense of style, the hat and the puffed tail being indicators of this. Those glasses of his are pretty small, but paired with the mustache, and they make him look both wise and rather affluent!

Indeed, all of these things are the case. He is a pony born from a wealthy family, and while he keeps his sense of style, he does not take pleasure in boasting about his wealth, and rather enjoys a quiet lifestyle around calm scenery! Take whatever else from the pic you want, but I think this proves a point, when you're building a character, just how much you can do simply based on the pose and apparel!
