Novaburst

When Shadow Scribe had received a letter from his uncle instructing him to go to the Apple Family Residence, Sweet Apple Acres he hadn't been sure what to anticipate. However the last thing he expected to see was a kissing booth that Applejack, and her family were using to get more bits for themselves, and sell more apples. Upon reading the letter again, he almost face hoofed because of how humiliating this would be. The kiss he wanted was not from anypony here, but from someone else. 

Twilight Sparkle, to be exact. 

Still the chances of that happening were slim to none. 

He was waiting in line. 

Can you set up the thread? Also, expect Shadow to flip out, and try to capture Sombra and drag him to Princess Twilight - as he is a friend of hers. 

One idea I thought of we could try was that Shadowscribe ends up taking Sombra under his roof, without knowing who he is. Oh, and Shadowscribe starts to learn some of his abilities perhaps, and also starts to teach Sombra about modern Equestria if you are up for it. Another more farfetched idea was our Sombras meeting, but I doubt that will happen any time soon. 

"Juicing them, and trying to make my old age medicine taste better,"  said Rune. Rune then sighed. "And perhaps using some of the seeds to eventually grow my own apple trees somewhere, when I find out where I'm going to permanently live, once I move out of the Frozen North, to warmer climates."  said Rune. Her kiss on the cheek was warm, and gentle, even though it was longer than he would have liked. Once he had been kissed,  Rune sighed for a moment.  "Also, Applejack. Here's a bit extra, for a favor down the line. When my nephew comes, give him an extra kiss, but don't tell him why." said Rune. Rune smiled a bit at her. "His name is Shadow Scribe."  He'd give Applejack a picture of his nephew, and smile a bit for a moment. He'd levitate her some more bits. 

Rune Writer slowly walked up to where Applejack was, having left his cart behind. Given Apples could hopefully improve the flavor or at least make his potions that would delay the worst of the side-effects of aging more palatable, as right now they tasted as bad as swill, Rune sighed for a moment. He'd then levitate a large sum of bits out of his saddle bag, enough for about fifteen bushels of apples, and put it near Applejack. "Fifteen bushels, of your best-tasting apples you have. I'll leave the kind up to you,"  said Rune. He'd then levitate something out of his saddlebags, a potion he'd made that dulled the pains, and aches of his bones without diminishing his senses. He'd then say. "And consider this a little gift for your Granny, as well. Also, Applejack. Just make it a kiss on the cheek." said Rune. Rune had put enough bits out there for thirty bushels. 

Rune Writer continued to wait in line, continuing to be patient. Going through his supply of potions he selected a few from them. One was the anti aging formula that he used, on a routine basis nowadays, because he didn't want any of the physical or mental conditions of old age to get him. He didn't mind getting older, in the form of gray hair but his stamina, magic reserves and mental health couldn't suffer as a result of old age. It was why he had began his research shortly after he had finished Shadow Scribe's education. Sure the Stallion had a lot of work to do before he could be considered a "Master" as it were. But Rune had high hopes for his nephew, that he could one day do something grand and become a Prince, if not a male Alicorn. At least then his family...no. Rune refused to allow himself to dwell on that. Focusing on the kiss he was going to soon get from one of the members of the Apple Family he allowed himself a small smile, as he felt a bit of warmth inside. The ponies were certainly friendly here, and who knows. He might even make a friend or two or three soon enough.... 

It was no surprise that when he got the newspaper again,  Rune read what Cadence had to say to him. Suffice it to say her advice involving the pests as they were Frost Wolves and thus no pony would get rid of them, Rune had tried six different companies recently who had all threatened him with lawsuits for so much as offering the job. It seemed no one was willing to deal with that. Perhaps he needed to hire a mercenary or something in order to rid himself of those pests, or to relocate to warmer climates. Either was going to serve his purposes, but he wasn't sure what path to take. 

While sitting in his frozen home, Shadow's uncle Rune Writer began to write a letter to Princess Cadance as he drank the age delaying potions he had prepared. Once he had written the letter, he sent it off with a spell. 

Dear Cady: 

I am an older stallion, and have never had a "Special Some Pony" but as hearts and hooves day does not interest me, how would one go about meeting mares? In addition, would mares care that a Unicorn is extending his life through his own magical knowledge? Also, how would one deal with unwanted animals that keep coming around no matter what you do to them, to make them stay gone?

A heavy wagon began to roll up onto Sweet Apple Acres, stopping where the line currently ended. Inside the wagon was a pony, a Unicorn to be exact who had come to see what the line was about. When he had heard about the "Apple Kiss" that Applejack was offering, if some pony bought apples that made him curious. Could he convince her to let him test a creation of his on her Granny, Granny Smith? While it was not a miracle cure, it was a pain reliever. Sighing, he stepped into position in the line, wearing saddle bags that held some bits in them, but also a pain reliever potion that he had made hours earlier. If only he could make them stay fresh longer, that would be easier.

Powers:

Dark Magic Master:   Sombra is the very antithesis of the Sun Sentinel and can command the power of Dark Magic.  His mastery over such a power is virtually limitless,  giving him quite the arsenal of spells that he can cast with minimal effort.   However without the Alicorn Amulet,  or the Cursed Horn his ability to use such spells would diminish significantly.  Positive Emotions and Positive Magic would weaken his dark magic abilities.  Furthermore,  it's impossible for him to cast certain spells during the day,  such as ones that could summon armies for him, or stuff like that. His very presence causes people to feel terror and he's also capable of creating constructs out of darkness,  and dark magic. 

 Gear: 

-  The Cursed Horn of Calibast:   The Cursed Horn of Calibast is a Magi-tech relic that can be used as a horn replacement. This replaced his regular horn. It massively boosts the magic he's capable of shooting out,  but has a side-effect.  It makes him more and more evil the more he uses it. 

- The Alicorn Amulet:  The Alicorn Amulet amplifies the negative emotions of the individual,  but also massively boosts their power level to where even an Alicorn would have a hard time fighting them.  This has been implanted near his heart. 

- Extended Lifespan:  As long as he can be cloned,  and regenerated he'll have a very long lifespan. 

Alias:Silas Sombra - Wealthy Pony, and CEO of Eclipse Incorporated.

Backstory:

A company known as "Crystal Empire Limited" wanted to create what to them was going to be the perfect Unicorn, one who possessed few of the limits that regular Unicorns had. Most of the regular ones could barely even do telekinesis spells properly or participate in magical duels. This irritated the higher ups of the company. Motivated to create what amounted to a 'Super Unicorn' they decided that they would engineer one. So DNA samples from all sorts of Unicorns were taken, but none panned out. Eventually they found the remains of a War Lord named Umbrum The War Lord had attempted to battle against the Sun Sentinel and the Moonlit Knight in the past. Of all the Unicorns he was the only one who could actually pose a challenge to them given his mastery over dark magic.

Using the DNA samples and DNA from several above average Unicorns they were able to revive him. When he was revived, he forced them to retrieve the Alicorn Amulet with a mind control spell. Once it was brought to him, he modified it some and then fused it inside his body. With the amulet inside him, he decided to train himself and prepare an army of ponies who could be his loyal minions. To do that, he took control over Crystal Empire Limited. Using their resources he created a fake identity as "Silas Sombra" for himself. However one of the scientists attacked him when he was asleep and sawed off his horn, removing it from his body and breaking it. Not one to let a minor set back like that hassle him, Sombra threatened some of the other scientists into making a Horn for him. Using what little magic he could, he infused the prototype horn with dark magic, and his new horn was made. Since he has gotten his horn, he has done nothing but train with his dark magic, and hire a publicist so that he can make a backup scheme, to appear to be a goody goody in his civilian identity. Due to lacking his full power presently, he's working on regaining his power.
