  1. I really adore your Rarity, the shading and detail done on her armor is very well done and amazing! She looks ready for battle yet so fashionable. I also really like your Rainbow Dash!
  2. Carrot top is done! http://inkeed.deviantart.com/#/d4fkrhl Her hair is darker on purpose. In those pictures her hair looks really dark though, I plan on redoing carrot top with the correct hair color. This was more of a pumpkin than a true orange. I used a burnt orange due to preference. Will sale her later when I set up a paypal. I kinda wanna stare at her for awhile, lol. I use no glitter filled paint. All of it was just flat colors mixed to achieve a certain color. What I did was water down the acrylics really thinly and painted it on layer by layer until I got the desired amount. After so I took a blue-mix of white and dabbed on the dots with a smaller brush (and thicker paint). I do recommend if you plan on going into pony custom work, ALWAYS keep your acrylics as thin as possible. It's a lot more work and lengthy, but you avoid brushstrokes and an overabundance of paint. That's what happened with Trixie eyes there. The only secret to a smooth consistency is water downed acrylics and letting each layer dry after application. Another important thing is that when you apply your sealing, it does make a difference on how your pony will look after it dries. When you paint one coat of matte medium she'll be glossy, while two coats will mate it more flat and of course--- just a matte covering. (Also the bottle lies, make sure you water down your sealing too and paint extremely thin coats on.) Hoped that helped. I hope that gives you the information you need, let me know if you want anymore tips or pointers. Also thank you so much for the comment. :'D
  3. Sorry for not replying sooner. Carrot top is my favorite BG character as well, so I'm going to be extra critical on myself when working on her. I'm about to rehair carrot top now, I'll post up pictures when I'm done. Thanks everyone for all the wonderful compliments.
  4. Reading it I was surprised to notice barely any bias---the phrase about 4chan caught me off gaurd, but how else do explain 4chan to people uneducated in internet memes? I really enjoyed the article and I liked how the journalist not only did their research, but went into depth of the fanbase. Bravo on making it on the front page, this is even bigger than the time Steven Colbert making a shout out.
  5. The forum was linked in a journal from the MLP So Awesome group on Deviantart. Nice to meet you Tales!
  6. I should draw a pony with a tophat! DOING THAT NOW. Ink is best pony? (I love these icons.)
  7. What kind of videogames do you play? (PS: Minecraft is fuuun; but I don't own it anymore ever since my computer crashed.) Welcome to Canterlot, I'm new too!
  8. I do indeed do pixels, but haven't done any recently. Actually I just posted an art thread over in the Art Discussion! Thanks for the welcome! Do you have a DA? I'd love to check it out! :'D
  9. Hello once again fellow bronies! I wanted to go ahead and post a little artwork on here to show you. I'm more than likely going to update this thread with all my new pony artwork when I'm done. Also before I start getting image heavy, here's me deviantart if anyone is interested in watching me and staying in contact on there: http://inkeed.deviantart.com/ I'll start with the custom WIP I have. She's my first custom so some tips and pointers would be awesome! She's a WIP because I plan on making her a hat and cape; I hope to make them as accurate as possible and need to make my way over to the store to buy the fabric. None of that felt; gonna get a nice fabric that will drape over her nicely much like the cape does in the show. Here's another WIP of carrot top; I plan on making her hair more of a natural red than a straight up orange. Pony restyles--- Bad picture quality (cell phone, hur). Will upload better quality upon request. I also will be making tutorials upon request; working on a pinkie pie restyle tutorial right now. Also some doodles to show you to even out the customs. They are not complete, but it's to show that I actually draw. I do ask to refrain from criticism on the doodles; I feel like they belong in the scrap book--- I promise I'll have something worthwhile later to show you, where I'll ask for some pointers and tips. Thanks for stopping by! :'D
  10. I want to thank you all for welcoming me and for all the compliments I've received. I can say that I feel really comfortable here and that Canterlot has a very nice "homey" feeling to it. Thanks everypone. :'D (But what about the cupcakes?) Nah, everypony is safe I assure you.
  11. To be completely honest, you could say I'm a bit like a mixture of Fluttershy and PinkiePie. (How is that even possible? Could you imagine if the two were combined!) Pinkiepie is almost tied for best pony with Fluttershy. Yes, Fluttershy knows all! Listen to her or else she'll call that bear to help her out. Thanks so much for the welcome, it's a pleasure to meet you. :'D
  12. About myself.: I draw, play video games, and make custom ponies. How did you hear about Canterlot.com?: Canterlot.com was linked from a Deviantart group. My one favourite main cast pony?: Fluttershy Hello everybrony! I'm Inkeed, a former pegasister who found FIM via youtube. I started watching Friendship Is Magic in June and have now found myself hooked to these candy colored ponies. I've always liked MLP (even the horrible earlier generations) as a little girl but just now started getting into it thanks to Lauren Faust. I am an artist and I draw, but sadly I haven't really been keeping up-to-date with my pony drawings. I've more-so been doodling ponies and will possibly share with all of you in the art section later. Recently I have also picked up the hobby of altering the brushable G4 toys and would love to start making plushies. (I have a deviantart under the same username if anyone is interested.) No worries about my forum etiquette; I have been on many forums but just now decided to get more involved in the MLP: FIM community. (I also have literate role play experience and might join in at some time; I'm shy though. So I'll have to break out of my shell.) This is my first FIM forum that I have joined. I hope to meet lots of new people and friends! Also, best pony in my heart will always be Fluttershy.
