  1. The RP should begin sometime this weekend ^^ I’ll link it to y’all when it’s done!
  2. Fluttershy seems absolutely perfect! I think her reactions with Ali will be hilarious XD
  3. Dragonofruin: Sombra seems pretty awesome to RP with 👀 Tacobob: She seems perfect for the job! SteelEagle: I love all of those possible ideas. I think my grumpy farm pony would have cool interactions with AJ (I agree with best pony) or Apple Bloom. Ali isn’t normally open to those who have similar jobs as her. She’s very closed off haha. Pathfinder also seems awesome. I’ll leave it to you to decide who to choose ^^ Szalhi: You do have some awesome characters ^^
  4. Sea Salt smiled largely. She loved talking about her fish, well, big fish. Mammal fish. Fish mammals? Whatever their classification was, Finnie loved to talk about them. Most ponies didn't know much about dolphins, and it made her sad. "I got two dolphins, Mr. Bubbles and Sprout. Mr. Bubbles is really feisty, but Sprout is a gentle creature. They both perform with me in my arena back at home." Her little wings fluttered in excitement. She did miss her babies. Finnie blinked hard when she noticed Gummy stick his little claw out at her. The blue Pegasus had a wide range of emotions now. She was slightly above the ground, her wings flapping hard as she cutely fangirled over the little gator. "I wouldn't mind this little baby on me anytime, mate," she cooed, letting the reptile sit on her back. This was the happiest the hippie was in a while. Finnie opened her mouth to respond to the pink pony, "I love water. I actually do shows with my dolphins, tricks and all that. You should come sometime, Pinkie Pie." The blue mare then turned around, looking at Ali. "Yeah, she's my friend. Though, she'd never admit it." "I ain't no pony's friend," the mare hissed, shooting daggers directly at Finnie and Pinkie.
  5. The White Tail Woods: full of thick green trees, cracked sticks, shiny stones, and loads of scary silhouettes lurking beneath the shadows... This is a camping trip RP, taking place in The White Tail Woods. Located here: Summary: A group of creatures set off on a camping trip to find the reason why animals of all shapes and sizes keep disappearing. Some say sightings of a shadow pony is lurking within the darkness, waiting to set it's hooves on the next victim. Five brave souls set off to the forest grounds, wanting to find out the mystery. Through thick and thin, the creatures will find out what's making the animals disappear.. or will they? If anyone is interested, I'm looking for three other characters to hop in and join the group! Anypony, or any creature can join! I will be using my character Alizarin Fruits, as I feel like this will be a good growing experience for her (that and none of my other characters seem fit for something like this, haha). Please let me know if you're interested! Once again, anyone can join!
  6. "Wow- Rac&Reeez- that sounds sooooo tasty," Daze smirked, her sarcasm oozing with potential. She knew what the little dragon said, but it cracked the athletic mare up the way she said it. She also thought it was an odd choice too, just noodles and cheese? Yuck. The mare wasn't fond of either of those. Especially cheese. Every time when she was little and had to eat it, she'd barf all over her twin sister. That isn't a joke either. Daze hated cheese. The Pegasus listened to her cat friend, nodding her head at the idea of 'Pakora'. "That actually sounds really yummy. I might have to sink my teeth into that." She smiled at the silly sauce names. "I also might have to go with the middle dude with the cool lookin' glasses. Not too hot, but not too mellow. Sounds like my kind of guy." The mare looked through the menu one more time, seeing if anything else looks too good to pass. A minute went by, and the older stallion came back to take their order. Daze took a sip of water, tasting the lemon. Perfect. She then opened her mouth to speak, smiling at the cool looking waiter. "I'll have the Pakora, or whatever. With this sauce-" she pointed at the middle one, tracing over his sunglasses with her hoof. "Mad-hy-a, or however you pronounce that." He took their orders and Daze sipped on her lemon water. Thrilly then asked her a question, making Daze sit up from the table. "Don't worry, curiosity won't kill the cat- in this case." She snickered at her play on words. She could be clever... sometimes. "My bones are just a little on the weak side. I was just born like that. I've broken my legs and wings countless of times, but I can be a little reckless, so most of the time it's my fault." She paused, taking a sip of water. "I just got to be extra careful, especially during racing season. Most of the time I don't think about getting hurt- It never really comes across my mind. I focus on other things."
  7. Arty took another bite of her apple, slurping up the sweet juices that slowly drooled down the fruit. It was a really tasty apple, probably home grown somewhere with a large farm. The city didn't have much farm land, so it probably was from Ponyville, she guessed. It was nice and warm, and it really melted in her mouth. As she chomped down on her apple, she swallowed quickly as she went to talk again. "Those pieces sound very sophisticated. Your orchestra seems very in tune with the competition. Hopefully you all will be splendid, sweetheart." The mare's voice was calm and sweet, like sugar. She watched as he dug into his food, which made her space off and look around the court. Everypony seemed to be enjoying their food too. How quaint. Soon, Arty found her ear twitching, which made her turn rapidly to look at Slide. Her eyes kind of went big when she saw a group of big ponies surround him. The purple mare couldn't help but drop her apple, as her normally shallow heart started racing. She blinked, and saw herself completely alone, with ponies frantically running about. The mare looked up, seeing a flash of red flying away, followed by one of the members. Arty immediately got up, running after them. It was hard for her to run, as she only had three legs. She was inching farther and farther away from the group, as she found herself in the middle of a large crowd. Arty pushed her way through the large heap of ponies, following the chase to try and save the new pony she met. This normally wasn't like her at all. She'd normally leave the guy be. Arty could be cruel, but the thought in the back of her head made her keep going. She was selfish, but not that selfish. As they neared a cave, the mare sprinted out the last of her energy, noticing what she was standing on was a train station platform. The purple mare looked around, searching for the ponies. Suddenly, she looked up, seeing Slide make his way up some stairs. She quickly ran underneath them, hoping to not get spotted by the musically inclined gang pony. Thinking fast, she grabbed the nearest rock with her magic and threw it, making a 'clink' sound. The member of the gang heard it, making him quickly look around. He flew off the platform, landing in the rocks. With the quick distraction, Arty trotted up the stairs carefully. "We have to be quiet. I got him distracted for a few seconds." Hopefully she didn't scare him with her random appearance. "The only way out of here is deeper down the cavern, baby. Be quick." The mare trotted down the stairs, taking off running down the long stretch of darkness. With Slide hopefully following her, she looked back. When she looked back, her one front leg tripped on a rock and she landed face first, creating a huge noise. The pony then looked up, spotting the duo. "I got you now!"
  8. Daze really liked the look of this restaurant. It certainly was different from all the other snooty looking places across the city. Most of the restaurants were white with a hint of pastel greens and blues, while this one was a bright orange with all sorts of cool looking gadgets hanging from the walls. It was a really nice contrast with everything else in Canterlot, because ponies who generally never visit this city could spot something extravagant and different. It was a breath of fresh air. Daze liked different. And she caught herself overthinking everything about this building, which made her blink a couple times. The tan mare smiled at her two companions sitting at the table, just because. Nothing special was really happening, just a trio of miscellaneous creatures eating, or about to eat, food together. It really was a sweet moment. The athletic mare thought it was a nice break from the whole chasing a thief thing. They all smelled good, the atmosphere was breathtaking, and they were finally getting some food to munch on. Nothing could go wrong here. Hopefully. The Pegasus opened up her menu, searching through foods she's never seen in her life. "Yeahhh.. I might need some help figuring out this stuff." She searched around some more, looking curiously through the menu. "I definitely want something spicy, but I don't want my taste buds to pop out of my tongue." The bandaged mare laughed, smiling sweetly at Thrilly. "How about you surprise me, yeah?" The mare then looked at the little dragon, as she was playing with the little games on the kid's menu. "What are you gettin'?"
  9. Finnie spots a pink pony bouncing towards her, which lifted her spirits up more than she thought possible. The mare was bouncy and happy, and she seemed very fun to be around. Kind of like her own sister. The sudden thought of the similarities made her smile, as the pink pony inched more towards her and the other group of ponies. Pinkie seemed to know literally every pony, and that seemed really cool to the blue Pegasus. Was she supposed to know her too? Ali noticed the optimistic pony come closer, and her grouchy face became, well, more grouchy. "If that pony comes any more near me, I'm gonna flip mah horseshoe." Soon the pink earth pony was next to Finnie, and she felt an automatic sense of happiness. "I own quite a few fish, mate." The blue Pegasus smiled warmly, feeling a very calm sensation come over her. Soon, an alligator was presented in front of her, making her eyes grow big with excitement. "Woah! I've never seen one of this buggers up close before." She then approached Gummy slowly, completely fascinated by the green creature. As she was staring at him, the fluffy mare continued to talk. After gawking over the alligator, she opened her mouth to speak. "I competed over at the cloud dive." Finnie felt relaxed at this moment, her eyes fluttering calmly. Ali was sitting behind her, being a grumpy little pony as she normally was. "Nice to meet you, Pinkie Pie. I'm Sea Salt. Most call me Finnie." The quiet mare smiled again, enjoying the other pony's company.
  10. Daze's ears perked up when she heard somepony speak to them, making her smile, but what he said made her huff. The Pegasus opened up her mouth to say something, but somepony else beat her to a snarky response. "Don't flatter 'urself, scaly." Daze couldn't help but burst out laughing, causing her to then gag and take in a deep breath. "I almost lost my cupcakes there," she said, trying to hold in her laugh. Ali rolled her eyes, standing up and stretching her little legs. Her body was a sticky, sweaty mess, and she felt very bothered. The farm pony's iced towel was now melting, making her throw it far from her. She thought it hit somepony, but she didn't really care, she just gave a meek glare towards the brown.. stallion? Finnie just stared at the stranger, standing up and letting the water from her mane drip and roll down her face. "I saw your dive, mate. It was pretty breathtaking. I wish I had moves like that." Her voice was soft and smooth, yet deep like a tomboy's. Daze looked at her after she said that, making her slowly fly into the air and hug the soft hippie from behind. "Ha! Finnie, you blew him out of the water!" she paused, realizing her unintentional joke. "Quite literally!" "Nah, I don't think so. You really did outstanding, mate. I'm glad I got some good competition in the water. I bet my show back home would kill to have you preform tricks with me and my fish." Ali glared at the both of them now, mainly at Finnie. "U're too nice to this bug," her voice hissed. "Ali, you gotta let out your anger somehow, you seem tense, mate." She sat back down. "Just let the wind-" "-Don't go all 'hippie dippy' on me. I ain't into it." The tan Pegasus sighed, flying over to Feng smoothly with a couple loops, "Sorry about the little one, she's a firecracker."
  11. ~Basics~ Roleplay Type: WoE Name: Long ShotNicknames: Goober, Shot Sex: Female (her/she)Age: Younger MareSpecies: Earth PonySexual Orientation: Lesbian ~Physical Attributes~ Eye Color: Lime Green Character Color: A soft yellow Mane/Tail: Her mane and tail are poofy and curly, always tied off into braids. Their colors are orange and light orange. Physique: She's very agile and strong. Extra: She sometimes wear's her uniform, especially when she's out signing autographs. Cutie Mark: Description: A soccer ball with a streak of green underneath it, representing her talent for soccer. Story: Since her father forced her to play soccer at a young age, Shot always had a passion for it. Her story is simple, in her first big game in elementary school, she shot the winning goal. That was mainly from the motivation she got after the amazing performance that little filly Bellissima Stella sung, both getting their cutie marks on the same day. Shot always remembered Bell, and they do run into each other occasionally, to Bell's dismay. Bell definitely doesn't have a crush on the hyper earth pony.. After the shot, she jumped into the air and her cutie mark appeared. Her main talent is soccer, as her long, strong goals are her specialty. She has a very strong kick. ~Outside Information~ Family: Dad (Unicorn): Pleased Aesthetic, Dad (Unicorn): Big Shot, Brother (Unicorn): Hard Head Occupation: Famous Soccer Player Residence: In a large house, living in Cantorlot ~Characteristics~ Character Personality: Loud, cheerful, and optimistic, Long Shot is a very positive pony. She loves to talk, making ponies smile, and is very obnoxious. You'd think a famous pony like her would be more professional with her sport, but no, she's as rambunctious as a new puppy. Shot has been a happy little pony since she was little, and loves to get all her energy out with running around and playing soccer with her biological dad. She absolutely loves attention, and it very touchy with every pony she meets. She wants to be in every pony's face, and doesn't really understand personal space. It's funny, because she's actually very focused on the field. It's when she get's off it when she's a big goofy weirdo. Shot loves every pony she meets, and easily get's lead on. She can't really understand 'fake friends', and falls for most tricks. She's very gullible, but too pure for the world. Unique Traits: Long Shot has very powerful legs, which can literally kick anything into the air and wherever she wants. She's very fast on her hooves, and very agile. She's also really good at making ponies smile, and has a knack to make them uncomfortable too. History: Long Shot was born on a warm Canterlot morning in the hooves of her surrogate. Her biological father, Big Shot, immediately fell in love with his bouncing baby girl. His husband, Pleasing Aesthetic, also loved his new daughter, and the two husbands forever cared deeply about their new baby. Shot's older brother, Hard Head (his biological dad being Aesthetic, but the same surrogate), didn't like her as much, and didn't want a baby sister. From his young age, he didn't really understand that you couldn't choose the gender. Long Shot immediately had a knack for kicking things. She'd kick everything she'd see, even her brother. Hard Head never wanted to get along with Shot, and they would always fight over dumb things, and it made Shot feel horrible. She just wanted him to smile all the time. It was easy training with her dad with soccer, because Big Shot was a really good coach. He wanted his daughter to live up to his legacy. And she did just that when she was older. On the opposite end, Shot was never close with her other father, as he was a magic teacher and she was a plain 'ol earth pony. The only earth pony in the family, for that matter. She still loved Aesthetic, as he always showed up to her games and cheered her on from the sideline. Hard Head would be there too, but he'd be pouting and throwing a fit. It didn't take long for Shot to get her cutie mark, as she already knew what she wanted to do. She was always a bouncing little cutie, and was very lovable and kind. When she got older, she got a lot of scholarships to play soccer in bigger leagues, and she took her home city's team in a heartbeat: The Canterlot Colts. She plays professionally with them, and is very well known for soccer fans all over, since she is, "Big Shot's Legacy". A little growing up photo for reference: Character Summary: Long Shot is a happy, obnoxious, athletic earth pony with a knack for always smiling.
  12. "You shouldn't have eaten' those cupcakes," Alizarin said, her grumpy voice growling as she talked. She was covered in sweat, but she had a nice frozen towel over her neck. It was cooling off fast, but her muscles tensed from the running and jumping she had to do. She was going to be so sore in the morning. The small mare was walking funny too, like she had spurs poking her every movement. "Yeah- well- they sounded good at the time, Als." The tan Pegasus walked side by side with Ali, hunching over like she was going to throw up at any second. Her face was tinted green, as the duo walked to the tent as their own slow pace. The sun wasn't helping either, as it was way too hot. It made Golden Daze feel even more sick. "Dude, I might need a bowl. The sugar is still radiating through my veins." The farm pony rolled her eyes, huffing aloud as they found themselves closer to the tent. "We're almost there, Golden. Just lift up ur head 'n keep walkin'." As the two got there, a blue Pegasus met them halfway, soaked from the Ponyville lake. "Hey, Daze. Hi, Ali." Daze looked at the wet mare, smiling greatly. "Hey, Finnie! I watched your dive. Absolutely awesome! I didn't know a weirdo like you had it in 'ya." Sea Salt grinned, "Thanks, mate." Ali just stared at the Pegasus, not recognizing her. She was too exhausted to think anyway, as her muscles ached. As the trio got to the tent, they each sat down next to each other, absolutely exhausted from their day of competing. They all sat in silence, watching all the other creatures talking to each other. Ali and Finnie felt awkward, as Daze tried to not lose all the food in her belly. She didn't look so good. Finnie relaxed her body, watching some orange dragon who seemed to be pony-watching as well. Good, they weren't the only weirdos watching them. Her wings relaxed too much, trying to let the sun heat them up, but they touched Ali's back, making her jump. "Ah! I'm so sorry, mate, I didn't think you were that clos-" "You nasty wet vermin, don't touch mah back!" "Be nice, Als. Finnie didn't- mean it," Daze tried to spit out, as she burped. Ali scrunched up her nose in disgust. "You're nasty too." Daze's signature smirk appeared on her face, as she let out an attractive laugh. "Oh- you silly grumpy shorty- you know you love me." Ali pouted, her eyebrows furrowed, as she listened to the conversation that was happening in the middle of the tent, distracting herself from the other two feathered ponies. Daze just looked at Finnie and they laughed together, relaxing in the nice shade and enjoying every creature's company. They couldn't help but sit close to each other, wrapping their wings together and keeping each other cool. Good thing Finnie was cold from the water. The three tired ponies watched from the side, Ali not wanting to talk, Finnie enjoying the nice weather, and Daze wanting to say something, but feeling awkward if she did. She recognized the cupcake competitors, but just wanted to wait and see if anypony talked to her first. Not a bold choice like she'd normally have, but she couldn't just walk into the middle of the conversation. That would be rude.
  13. Welcome to Canterlot! I hope you enjoy your stay!
  14. Daze scoffed when the dragon asked about the band-aids. She didn't mind sharing about her injuries, but the dragon seemed a little rude about it. "Like Thrill said. Most of these are scars from me being a reckless idiot, and I gotta have these wraps on our I'll break my hooves." She nodded her head. "I got weak bones, believe it or not." Thrilly mentioned her money, and Daze nodded. "I got extra bits too from my 2nd place win. I can pay for the little one, if you'd like," she said, smiling at the dragon with a snarky look in her eyes. She then noticed 'Dagger' staring at her. "What?" The mare cutely tilted her head, looking unsatisfied from the little dragon. The mare then shrugged, flying towards the door and staring at the two other weirdos. Daze nodded her head with Thrilly's suggestions. "I actually love spicy food. It makes me feel.. spicy! If you get what I'm saying." The mare then wiggled her eyebrows, being a total weird dork that made herself laugh. She could really crack herself up. It was like her second talent or something. If ponies could have two cutie marks, it would be the one she has now, and a face of herself laughing over herself. She was classy. When they got to the orange building, Daze opened the door to let herself and the other two in. Two ponies met them on the other side, greeting them politely. The trio found themselves sitting at a round table with menus. The smell instead the restaurant stood out to Daze, as it smelled sweet but spicy. The decorations in the building caught her off guard too, as the place looked really unique and creative. "You'd think a place like this in Cantorlot wouldn't be such a thing," the tan mare said, looking around then at the menu. "Obviously they get customers though if they're still open in such a stuck up city. Ponies actually have opinions in Cantorlot? Crazy." The waiter, who seemed to be the father, came over and asked what they'd like to drink. Daze opened her mouth to speak first, "I'd just like a glass of water. Extra ice- maybe add some lemon in it." She smiled.
  15. *Submitted for Judging* A blue Pegasus watched the two ponies before her jump, to what seemed fearlessly, off a very tall board and into the lake below them. Sea Salt thought she was crazy for talking to dolphins everyday, but seeing this really boggled her calm mind. She never really thought she'd have the courage to try something new like this. Normally she'd be cowering over to the side, while everypony else didn't notice her from being too caught up in the fun. Sea F. Salt felt fine though, because one: it involved water and two: she was a Pegasus, born to fly and take on great heights like this one. That and her mom was in the stands with her little sister, cheering from the sidelines. The thought of quitting never crossed Finnie's mind, as she wanted to make her beloved family proud. And seeing her sister's face if she did quit would break her own heart. The loud speaker came on, as a voice shouted, "Next up, all the way from Horseshoe Bay, is... Sea Salt!" The crowd erupted in cheers, making Finnie go deaf for a second. She was actually use to such cheering, and attention, but the troubles she were about to face were much greater. Finnie made her way to the beautifully painted wooden planks, that reached up so high it touched the clouds. She hasn't touched the clouds in a while, maybe it would spark some kind of want to see the greater heights again... but it didn't. When the mare got on the shaking ladder, her nervousness took a hold of her. She began climbing though, taking very slow steps up the colorful ladder, getting higher and higher from the ground level. If she wasn't jumping into a lake, she wouldn't be doing this. The hippie didn't dare look down, as her wings held tight against her sides. She seemed to have something caught in her throat, most likely anxiety. Her breathing hitched every time the ladder started moving. She really didn't like new things, but she was already halfway up. The ladder was starting to sway from the wind, as the higher she got, the more wind blew through her choppy mane. Her body was shaking, but she caught herself. "You're okay, Fin. Pretend you're about to go see baby sharks." Finnie started to imagine baby sharks, and dolphins, and whales. Her blue body was less tense, and relaxed like it normally was. "Okay, mate. You got this. It's just the sky. The amazing, blue sky." The mare began humming to herself, beginning to sing little whale sounds, because she's a big 'ol water hippie, and soon she found herself to the top of the plank. She looked on ahead, giving herself a hoof hive like a dork, and started walking to the edge. The water pony looked down, barely seeing the water. It was like that stereotypical camera view in movies where the character was very high off the ground and the view bounced closer than farther away over and over again. That's what Finnie was seeing. So, she took in a deep breath, thinking positive thoughts. "Do this for Hyper." She took in a sharp breath, "Be confident, be confident, be confident, be confident-" She counted down slowly, and once she hit 0, she flung herself off the diving board, the wind whipping through her mane almost immediately. It wasn't as bad as she thought when she was in the air, as her wings unfolded and she let herself fall straight down. She got comfortable in the sky quickly, ready to do some cool tricks in the air. The mare quickly hurled herself into her very own Flipping Cannonball Corkscrew, something she'd do with her dolphins in a show. The curled her feathery body up in a ball tightly, flipping very quickly while spinning like a corkscrew. It looked as if she was a waterdrop flying through a tornado. A streak of white followed behind her, as she quickly moved onto her next move. Finnie was flying fast down to the earth now, causing her to open up her wings to have some hesitance. The mare then found herself doing her famous move called The Back-Front Flip, something she'd regularly do in shows from popular demand. The Pegasus straightened out her body, opening her wings more as the wind caught them in different angles, causing her to front flip, then back flip, over and over again, but at very high speeds. The effect made her look like a hurricane of water drops caught in the wind, well, normally, when she was in water. Most pegasi would have trouble with the different wind angles, but because of Finnie's small wings, it was easier to maneuver. The last move had to be made faster then she anticipated, as the white streak followed her now more greatly, brightening up the whole sky from how fast she was coming down. She quickly adjusted herself face first, as her small wings stretched out as much as they could. She whipped her body around and around, and her wings held a strong stance in hurling her down like a tornado about to touch land. She called this the Dolphin Dive, as she started clicking with her mouth like a dolphin. The wind made the clicking seem to howl as it got louder. Her hooves were held in front of her, ready to dive into the water as she was twisting rapidly. When she hit the water, a fountain of the liquid sprayed out from where she landed, causing a really cool sprouting effect that caught her white streak perfectly. When she collected herself from in the water, she used her wings to push herself up and hop out of the water. She was drenched, which really cooled her body down from the tiring dive she took in. The crowd was just as loud as the other competitor's final dive, making her seem sure she did alright. She then nodded her head slightly, confident in her moves. The mare never realized how much flying and performing in water had in common. She guessed trying something new isn't always bad. Finnie searched for her family, and the face her sister had was priceless.
  16. *Submitted for Judging* Who'd think little grumpy Alizarin Fruits would compete in something as foolish as this? A competition wasn't her forte. Really anything wasn't her forte. Getting muddy and running with her little short hooves wasn't something she was really fond of. Her papa, though, would non-stop tell her to get off the farm for once and have some fun. Of course the snooty mare did what her father suggested, just to make him a happy ol' stallion. He's also goes on and on about doing these things when he was a colt, but that's besides the point. The midget of a mare watched all the other competitors with a grumpy eye and a scrunched up nose. They were either really fast, really strong, or both. Ali was none of the above. Well, she was strong, for a short farm pony. Her confidence was low for this kind of thing, so she just gave everypony the stank eye and looked as intimidating as possible so no pony gave her any confrontation. She would really scold somepony if they tried to talk to her. Ali was scary when she was mad. The splotched pony's ear twitched when she heard her name on the speakers. "And next up from the outskirts of Ponyville, Alizarin Fruits!" Immediately the mare scoffed, grumbling who knows what underneath her breath like a foal who didn't get the toy they wanted on Hearth's Warming. The negative pony took her good 'ol time walking to the starting line, getting into a starting position as the flag raised, which flashed down faster than a Pegasus performing a Sonic Rainboom. To prove for her father she's actually good at athletics, the mare's hooves galloped faster than lightening. The little farm pony flew across the dirt like nothing, soon appearing to come across the first obstacle: the mud pit. All Ali knew was that the mud was deep, and thick, something a little pony with short legs couldn't get through without a fight. Mud wasn't anything knew to the farm horse, but the feeling of it wasn't so soothing. Ali couldn't just walk through it, but she could certainly hop across it. Was that cheating? Maybe, but she trekked her way across the pit with no problem with her strong legs. And yes, she looked like a jackrabbit trying to hop out of quicksand, but it was really entertaining to watch. Soon she found herself out of the pit, her hooves covered in mud, which felt sticky and uncomfortable, but now her mindset was right on the money with this competition. Coming up fast was the stacks of barrels, the second part of the obstacle course. Her stumpy legs were tired from hopping across the mud, but they still had some juice left to hop onto the shortest stack and keep jumping up on the next like an annual rodeo her and her papa would go and watch. She had to take her time with the barrels, as her little legs could only push her up so high. She was tired, but her stubborn nature took over as determination made her power through all the wobbly barrels. Good thing she didn't weight much, or she'd topple over, but her patience and balance gave her the long end of the stick, and she flew over the top and landed back onto the ground. The third leg would be the easiest for her, yet the hardest, as her legs were wobbly from the last two obstacles. Ali had enough endurance to keep sprinting, as her head hung low and she powered through the long stretch of land. "C'mon 'ol legs, get kickin'!" she told herself, as she focused on the last stretch to reach the final leg. The mare was exhausted, yet quick, and faster than she thought possible. The final stretch was here, and it seemed way more relaxed than the others. The mare's legs could catch a break, and her patience and balance can come back into play again. Thank Celestia. The only problem was, Ali's back was too small to fit three pies on there. "Aw, shoot!" With a quick thought, she tossed two pies on her back, and one on her head, and she carefully, yet quickly, weaved her way around the poles, making sure the precious, yet fragile pies didn't drop to the ground. She knew for a fact dropping these pies would make her feel guilty, a feeling she never feels. She knew how much dedication a yummy loved pie took to bake. It would be devastating to drop one. Quickly enough, though, the mare crossed the finish line, not only proud for finishing, but proud of herself from how quick she was. "Guess short lil’ farm ponies are meant for runnin' through dirt." With that, she sat down to catch her rapid breath.
  17. *Submitted for Judging* Golden Daze had to try out this contest. She just had to. Her curiosity got the best of her, again, for the millionth time. Well, maybe it wasn't much of her curiosity, but the sweet smell of the delicious cakes that practically dragged her tall body over here. She couldn't just stray away from free cupcakes. That would be like walking away from a cute puppy that was begging to be pet. And that would be a crime. So, the dorky Pegasus pranced on over to the booth, signing her name down and smirking at the three ponies in front of her. Her golden eyes stared down at the rules, rolling her eyes at the easy text. "Ha- this will be a piece of cake," the mare said aloud, obviously intending the easy pun just for laughs. Or just to laugh herself. She always knew it was fun to entertain herself. As such, speaking of entertainment, she watched as two dragons and two ponies she's never seen in her life go out there and eat a ton of frosted covered mini cakes. The silly mare was actually blown away from how good they were at smothering down those sugary treats. Daze knew she was going to have some really tough competition, but who didn't like a fun go round of eating the most cupcakes in 30 minutes? The Pegasus sure did. Though, she didn't even think of what the gut wrenching aftermath could be... Especially with a sensitive stomach. Suddenly the loud speaker turned on, making Daze look up at it. "Next up, from the incredible Cloudsdale, Golden Daze!" The mare smiled at her name, of course feeling the same sensation of when she's about to fly for a race. The mare loved the eruption of fans all across the stands, the anticipation of competing, it was so accelerating to her. So, as her heart raced, she flew up to the cupcake table and looking at the mountain of cakes. The first thing she thought was, 'This is going to be so awesome,' but when she really thought about it, what escaped her lips left a bad taste in her mouth. "I'm going to have the fattest sugar crash of my life." The word 'go!' echoed off the sky as she dove right into some easy flavored ones. Chocolate and vanilla. She hoped she could mouth down those quicker than the rest. Though there wasn't much of them, she still ate them as fast as possible. She really wished she had some water, though, as the cake was getting stuck in between her gums and teeth. That wasn't a very nice feeling. It was like chewing on from really old gum that was starting to disintegrate. It was that gross. Daze was becoming slower and slower, as the flavored cakes crashed in her face one by one, causing her stomach to grumble in annoyance. This was a competition though, and the stubborn mare was a competitor. Winners don't lose, and going by that moto, she garbled down a couple more cupcakes, tasting more diverse flavors. Strawberry, apricot, even watermelon. Who makes watermelon flavored cupcakes? It was jelly filled. That was a huge plus. The jelly actually got some of the old cake out of her gums. But soon enough, by Daze's luck, the timer went off and she slumped over, her tummy big and round from the cakes she ate. Her tummy growled again at her, and she looked at no pony in particular, "I think I know why they call it an Iron Pony contest," she mumbled, standing up slowly, "You really need an iron stomach for this stuff." Excusing her joke, she sluggishly walked away from the table, trying not to lose anything she just consumed. "Note to self, never do that again"

She always has a bandana on her head and her shark tooth necklace. Cutie Mark: Description: A wave with a fin on the top, which means her love for the sea and what's in it. Story: When Finnie was older, her best friend Golden Daze took her to the beach as a good-bye present (for which she wasn't aware of at the time) for when she had to perform across Equestria, even as a filly. First thing, Finnie adored the scenery of the beach. The smell, the soft sand on her hooves, the birds chirping in the distance, she really felt at home. Sure, the clouds up in Cloudsdale was her home for a very long time, but the beach felt like something different. So, after hours of playing in the sand and swimming around in the water, Finnie heard something crying at the bottom of the water. With the hope to find who was crying, her compassionate self hurled herself deep underwater, holding her breath. Soon enough, she was face to face with two baby dolphins. One male, and one female. They were trapped underneath a net, and were crying for help. Of course, Finnie took the opportunity to save the babies, and she brought them up with her, quick getting a deep breath of fresh air into her lungs. Spotting her nervous friend Daze, she was erupted by questions. Finnie just shrugged, saying, "I felt like I was meant to go and save these little buggers." And soon her flank flashed. A wave with a fin, for her passion towards the water and the life in it. Sadly though, as she went to check on her new friends, she turned to see Daze gone, without saying a word. They ended up meeting again way into the future, but she was heartbroken for a while. ~Outside Information~ Family: Dad (Pegasus) High Voltage, Mom (Pegasus): Cloud Buster, Sister (Pegasus): Hyper Drive Occupation: Sea Animal Performer Residence: In a big cabin on the beach of Horseshoe Bay. ~Characteristics~ Character Personality: Quiet, but not shy, Finnie is probably the most calm pony you'd ever meet. She's normally very relaxed, and enjoys what life has brought for her. She goes with the flow, unless it's something entirely new. She tends to overthink situations she isn't familiar with, and being her introverted self, she never really says when she's nervous. She just keeps to herself until is builds up. Finnie is also a great listener, and is incredibly generous. She'd probably give up all her organs if she had to. If any of her friends need something, she'd be there and get it for them in a blink of an eye, even if it hurts her. Though she doesn't talk much, when she does, it's very comforting, thoughtful, and generally knows the right things to say in almost all situations. She has a tender voice, with a slight Austrialian accent, which she get's from her momma, and her dolphins actually respond better with it. She is very respectful of her animals, and cares for them dearly. She'd really do anything for them. She is also very athletic, though her small wings barely get her off the ground, she is an amazing swimmer, and it really makes her mind cool off. If she's overwhelmed, she'll go in the water. She's also a huge hippie, and sometimes seems like the "head in the clouds" type. Finnie can be always seen with her small smile and a heart big enough for all to see. Unique Traits: The main thing is that her wings are smaller than normal pegasi, and though she can barely get off the ground, she uses her wings as fins when she's swimming in the water. She has a slight Australian accent, from her crazy momma, and is a very, very, very, good swimmer. She can also talk to underwater animals. History: Finnie was born in Cloudsdale, not too far from their home. Her mom, Cloud Buster, and her father had really high hopes for their daughter. Too much hope. The two parents were excellent fliers, her mom being an Air Sprinter, and her father being a Wonderbolt. Though she was born with small wings, her parents still thought she could make a comeback, and her wings would grow into a normal size. Finnie was always the quiet girl, and when she was enrolled as a small filly into flight school, she was genuinely nervous. It was rare to see her off the ground, as such, it was hard for her to fly. Nopony really noticed her either, she was just in the background, though she didn't really complain. This was until she met a cute, rambunctious filly named Golden Daze. Those two hit it off well, both tomboys and messy, but also, personality wise, complete opposites. At this time, her baby sister was born. She was a hyper little thing too, and Finnie loved her to death. The two sisters, and Daze, became very close growing up, and their mother loved seeing them all getting along together. A year later, their father mysteriously left the family. Their mom, with a broken heart, and her sister being a little lost, Finnie had to be the confident lead in the family for a little while. Throughout the years, Finnie never got her cutie mark. She was a really late bloomer, and never was passionate about flying like her family. She felt she wasn't born to fly, but born to swim. She found that out way later in life, when she was out of the clouds. Daze took her to the beach and she fell in love. After meeting her pet dolphins, Mr. Bubbles and Sprout, she began training them with tricks. Sooner or later, she had her own stadium built from her competitions, and now she holds animal performances there in Horseshoe Bay. A little growing up photo for reference: Character Summary: Sea Salt is a relaxed, calm pony with a heart of gold and a need for some sand in her hooves.
  19. The wind was strong. Really, really strong. The poor Pegasus couldn't fly, or hear really anything because the wind seemed to be literally screaming in her ears. Why couldn't she get a hat that covered her ears? When she was done here, she'd walk out with icicles hanging from them. And her nose.. and probably her feathers. And Daze was stuck there thinking, what if she could never fly again from the frostbite her feathers could get? She was even more scared now. But, she had to be tough in front of her friends. Would it be worth it though? After crashing, she felt herself being lift up from Fiver, which made Daze sigh in a huge relief. At least she had one pony with her. "Thanks, dude," she said smoothy, giving a toothy and goofy grin to the other Pegasus. Soon, she found herself walking, or trying to, towards the other two. The cold was starting to make Daze's nose burn, and in no time it would feel numb. "Looking for a cave would be smart- Just to find some shelter and stuff." She looked at the train car that crashed, making her head tilt. "Yeah, I don't know if the train car made it, Fiv. We should all just start walking. We could follow the tracks. I feel like that would be smart, so we don't get lost in this behemoth of a storm." The mare hooked her bags to her back, securing them so she didn't have to hold them. "I don't have any emergency equipment, but I have some snacks and extra clothes if anyone needs something." The mare looked around, only seeing snow covering the tracks quickly. "We should get going, I'm sure the ponies running the train knows one of it's carts came off the back. I bet we could meet them halfway up the mountain. Standing here is a faster way to get killed, I'm sure." The mare started walking slowly, trying to stay calm in this situation, but the howling of the wind and the nipping cold of the snow didn't help this sticky situation.
  20. "Well, aren't you a positive ray of sunshine," the mare softy said, smiling at the stallion. "Thank you, for enjoying my work." She then turned around, using her magic to put in all her backdrops in order for each performance. All she really had to do now was flip the backgrounds every time a new competitor rose to the stage. Easy peasy. She then heard his voice again, saying his good-byes. "See you later, honey. Good luck at your rehearsal." Just then, a swarm of mares surrounded her, in shock. Art just played it cool, signing their papers and smiling the whole time.. flirting with one really cute mare and secretly hiding her mailbox address underneath her signature.. Yep, that was Street Art for you. She gave an attractive wink as the mares trotted along, making Art have the cutest smirk on her face. She shook her head, listening to the smooth music coming from the stage. She could see Slide from where she was sitting behind the stage, watching him and the rest of the orchestra as they played a few songs. A couple of them sound familiar to her, making her hum to herself. From a distance she could hear a pony panic, making her turn her head and watch the pony trot around in circles. He seemed to be missing a paper, as his eyes were scanning the ground violently and his brow from crunched in like a caterpillar. So, the purple mare got up, tilting her head. "You alright, sir?" He quickly shook his head, scanning the floor with ferocity. "No, I have lost my sheet of music. Have you seen a lost trumpet sectional?" Suddenly, Art remembered seeing a music sheet, when she autographed that first pony. Her selfishness got the best of her. "No, sir. I haven't," she lied, looking around to sell it. "You have other trumpet players in your orchestra, yeah? Shouldn't they have a copy?" "I guess I'll borrow theirs. Thanks," he responded, disappearing. Art got out of that one. An hour later, Art found herself snacking on an apple during lunch hour, when a familiar voice pounded in her ears. "Hey, sweets. 'Course you can sit with me." She smiled, patting the sit next to her with her only front hoof. "How was rehearsal?" A little farther ahead of the pair, a group of ponies wearing all black started walking towards them, making every pony go quiet. Of course Art didn't realize the sudden silence, as the only noise anypony could hear was the crunch of her apple.
  21. Daze snickered at the grumpy dragon, sticking out her tongue cutely. "Dude, I remember those days. I was a little butthole when I was a filly, well, 50% of the time. I went through this phase where I didn't listen to my mom at all, which led me to cuss every two seconds. Ha! She'd shove that stick of soap down faster than I could ever fly- tasted horrible. But hey- it ain't too bad now." The mare shrugged, smiling. Daze had the towel wrapped around her lower body, as she stayed airborne. Good thing she wasn't near Thrilly when she shook off all the water, or she'd be soaked again. "I've never heard of those bad words- Wanna hear real ones?" The Pegasus had a grim smile across her face. As she opened her mouth, a thought in the back of her mind stopped her. "Oh- right- you're just a baby. Guess you'll have to find them out when you're a little older- and bigger." She then landed on the ground, trotting over to her bandages and wrapping them on. Daze then put on her other band-aids, covering up her bumps and bruises. She laughed at Thrilly's comment, shaking her head in delight. "Trust me, it's even more awkward when a pony that normally wears clothes, takes it off. You'd think it would be normal to see a pony naked, but then you think about it and say 'Bro, that really is weird'." Her golden eyes stared at the restaurant. "Oh, I'm glad they have fish." She then looked at Thrilly. "Hey, you'll be home sooner than you know. You'll blink and BAM!- you'll be right in the middle of lots of hugs from your family." Daze then flew into the air, tackling the cat with a huge hug. "Like this!" After the hug, Daze flew up and went to the door. "I'm all ready to go. Are you two?" She began opening the door, already halfway out. Once Daze knew they were ready, she flew towards the elevator, landing in it and waiting for it to go down. "Y'know, I've actually never eaten there. I might need some pointers."
  22. Woah! She’s gorgeous!
  23. The purple mare smirked at the stallion, giving simple gestures of kindness just from the emotion in her eyes. She generally had a kind soul, which led most ponies to fall into her spell. She was messy, yet majestic, and she had a keen eye for talented artistic ponies. She could always get a sense of artsy and creative ponies. It was kind of her thing. "Thank you, hun. I simply took the amazing view of the Manehattan sunset into consideration when painting this piece." She gave a warm smile once again, her calming eyes taking effect of her stature. "And nice to meet you, Mr. Fortissimo. You have quite a stance here, yeah? Being a principal trombonist. How stunning." She turned around, lifting up a piece of paper with her pink magic, looking at what seemed like a list. "Seems this backdrop is for Cantorlot's Orchestra. How ironic." Art turned back around, her pearly whites showing. She then noticed him staring at her missing leg, which she didn't bat an eye about. It happened all the time, really. Ponies always stared growing up. Sure, it made walking and physical activity hard, but she could deal with it. "Sure you do! I wish you the best of luck, sir." She picked up her paint, floating the equipment back stage. "Oh! Street Art. I'm surprised you've never heard of me." She cocked her eyebrow, giving him a rather attractive look, which could give anypony goosebumps.
