  1. Twinkle giggled a little at the unicorn's response. "Oh don't worry, I'm not here to sell anything, though I do readings, if you're ever interested. No, the truth is that I saw you in the museum and felt compelled to meet you. Call it fate, if you will." And by fate, Twinkle of course meant the will of the heavens. "I noticed you were one of the few other ponies interested in the artifacts and magical history of Roam. Is magic a special talent of yours?" She made a subtle gesture towards Amber's horn, quietly hoping that the other unicorn's answer would explain the strange feature. Just then she heard a sound, and turned her head quickly to see if somepony was approaching. But no one was there. She must have heard a street cat or something. She turned her attention back to the other unicorn.
  2. Twinkle Dawn stared longingly at the Ancient Roaman amulet behind the glass of the museum's enclosure. It didn't have much power in it, of course (she had yet to come across an artifact that did), but still, it would be nice to have... Self-levitation required extreme mental effort, but having an amulet that would allow her to do it at will without even using her horn would make the task much simpler. She concentrated for a moment, and a slip of paper appeared in front of her. She knew what it said, but read over it again just to be sure. "New friends are in your future. A twisted path may lead the way straight. Some things that at first appear evil may be good. Some things that look broken may be the key to new opportunities." It was a very strange horoscope, especially for Twinkle. She didn't like the sound of it. However, if "the way straight" was pointing straight towards her goal, then it would be worth the risk. This was for the good of Equestria, after all. In the mean time, however, she continued wandering the hall looking for broken or damaged magical artifacts. As she was examining a scepter, an odd pony walked into the room. Unlike most of the ponies she had seen in the museum so far, this one looked like she had a purpose in mind. She knew exactly what she was looking for, and it soon appeared that she found it. As Twinkle watched, fairly certain the pony hadn't noticed her (or if she had, just didn't care), she noticed that the unicorn's horn was... bent. That was odd. The words of her horoscope ran through her mind once more. "New friends are in your future... Some things that look broken may be the key to new opportunities." Perhaps she wasn't supposed to be looking for an artifact, but rather a pony that would appear in some way "broken"! She came to this epiphany and began to trot towards the mare, when all of a sudden the unicorn turned on her heels and strode out of the museum entirely. Twinkle followed carefully, deciding to take this opportunity to watch the mare before formally introducing herself. After nearly losing her in the crowd twice, Twinkle finally watched her sit on a bench for a moment, and decided to take that opportunity to introduce herself. She trotted over, sat down next to her, and offered her hoof. "Hi! I'm Twinkle Dawn! And you are?"
  3. Haha No worries! I have lots of characters and I'm willing to RP with any of them! In particular, I have an astrologer who may be interested in that "curse" of your character's... Check out my character log and let me know if anyone there strikes your interest!
  4. Roleplay Type: WoE Name: Udon Gender: Female Age: Mare Species: Areion Eye colour: One is green (#009900) and the other is yellow (#f1c40f) (I couldn't choose hahaha) Coat: Off white, like a rice noodle (#ffffcc) Mane/Tail: Brownish (#804200) Physique: Standard Residence: The Crystal Empire Occupation: Noodle cart owner and operator Cutie Mark: A bowl of udon with a pair of chopsticks next to it Unique Traits: Udon specializes in noodle soups, but just like the cakes make all sorts of deserts, she is also gifted with all sorts of soup. She has a very refined tongue and can often tell what ingredients were used in a food by blind taste. History: Udon grew up in a small areion colony on the outskirts of Equestria. Her parents, Rice and Egg Noodle, owned and operated a restaurant serving Neighponese food. Udon's grandparents immigrated from Neighpon when they were young, and their cultural legacy survived through their son and daughter-in-law's desire to stay true to their roots. Though they could barely afford even one, they ended up having three foals: Ramen Noodle, Udon Noodle, and Spaghetti Noodle. In order to support such a family, Rice and Egg would work long hours and go to great lengths to sell their food, including making deliveries two towns over. Their children helped out around the house as much as possible and, when they were old enough, went to work with their parents in the restaurant. Udon's brother Ramen was the first to go to work, and consequently the first to earn his cutie mark. His younger sister was soon to follow, being only a year younger than him. It came to her when she made her first bowl of miso all by herself in he restaurant. When the customer gave a satisfactory grin as he ate it, she beamed with pride and her cutie mark appeared. A couple years after her, Spaghetti earned his cutie mark as well (though, his cooking wasn't what Rice and Egg would call "traditional"...). But alas, there comes a time when every bird must leave the nest. Spaghetti was the first to leave, pursuing new ideas "diverse soups". He flew off to Celestia knows where right after graduating. From what Udon knows, he spends his time traveling Equestria and the nations beyond to gather new recipes and combine flavors, searching for the ultimate dish. Udon was next, but her time came much, much later. (Ramen never left, choosing to stay behind and run the family business) She left for Canterlot shortly after Princess Luna's return, wanting to be closer to the Princess of the Night. Upon arriving in Canterlot, she opened up a food cart. But she found little success. No one in Canterlot was awake at night other than one or two other areions, and they weren't terribly interested in what she was selling. So she flipped her sleep schedule to sell during the day. But ponies weren't too keen to do business with a bat pony. So finally she started wearing a shirt with her cart's logo that covered her wings. Only by hiding her identity was she able to achieve success, and she managed to keep the cart afloat. Even so, Canterlot turned out to not be the place for her. She was only scraping by, and she was sure she would be able to find more success elsewhere. That elsewhere proved not to be Cloudsdale, where the pegasi were instantly able to recognize her true species and avoided her, nor was it Ponyville, where although she was welcomed with open arms, her cart was destroyed by attacking creatures or some kind of disaster twice in one month. It was only after she received a letter from Spaghetti concerning the cuisine of the Crystal Empire that she decided to head that direction. She knew he wouldn't be there by the time she and her cart arrived, but she thought maybe ponies as loving as the Crystalites would accept her business. And she was right! She soon found success, enough of it that she felt confident ditching the shirt and revealing her true wings. Ponies lined up to get a taste of her delicious soup, and before she knew it, she was in need of a second employee. That employee would later become her husband (I'm leaving him undescribed beyond the fact that he is a Crystal Pony because I think it would be fun if someone apped her husband). Now, she and her husband pull their cart around the Crystal Empire, spreading joy and soup to all they meet. Character Personality: Udon is confident, but not overly so. She has a realistic level of confidence in herself and those around her. She is an introvert, but she is by no means shy. She is fine to talk to ponies, attend social gatherings, and serve scores of ponies hot soup. But she prefers those quiet evenings when she can curl upon on the couch and read a nice book. Thus, she rarely speaks unless she is spoken to, not really going out of her way to make conversation. Of course, once engaged, she happily will carry on a conversation. But she will almost never be the one to start it. Character Summary: Udon is an areion married to a Crystal pony. They reside happily in the Crystal Empire making soup in their portable cart. Though they are from two completely different worlds, they have made their cooking styles and flavors blend together in a unique (and delicious!) way. She is introverted, but will still be a good time if you engage her. She loves her family and her husband and her work. Sorry if it's a little weird. I wrote this at 1 AM while I was thinking about it. Also, anyone is free to app Udon's husband or siblings (or parents)! Just shoot me a DM for permission and to work things out! I would love to see more Noodles!
  5. This may just have been the most awkward situation Reflection had ever been in. There were two beds. Why didn't Kara take the other?? Fillies... Magical item? Crystal fair? Did they have those here? The Crystal Empire was in Equestria, but maybe there was a similar kingdom here! Mithril blade... Could that be a substance capable of slaying Cosmos?? She would have to ask the Kara in the morning. For now, she slipped out of the cuddle carefully and then into he other bed. She and Kara may be friends, but they weren't that close just yet. Plus, Reflection wasn't big on physical touch to begin with. She dozed off with her head full of questions...
  6. You sound a lot like me! Hahaha Glad to have you here! Can't wait to meet your character(s)! (Also, I think it's cool that you can do art at all because I can't, so good for you! Hahaha)
  7. At this point, Kara lost Reflection. Reptile? Nettle? Sinister queen?? This filly had to be the most off-the-wall of any creature she'd met in any reality she'd ever travelled to. She rolled her eyes a little and smiled patiently. "Something tells me that's not going to happen..." Her tone grew more serious as they trotted up the stairs to their room. "I think we should leave in the morning. We can check our rations to see how far we can make it before we need to spend bits again. We need to move quickly, though. We don't stand a chance against Cosmos like this. We need more artifacts. And the longer we take, the worse off this world will be." She took a deep breath to calm herself for a moment. "We're this world's only hope right now. We can't let them down." Her manner softened once more as they got to their room. "Now come on, you card shark. Let's get some sleep!"
  8. Cloudy thought about it for a moment, but then remembered that Wind Dancer was very pregnant (how could she forget??), and that going on a roller coaster was probably not the best thing for her at the moment... She decided to sweep the topic under the rug and hope Windy forgot about it. She could go some other time when no one's unborn child would be at risk. "No, let's go to the matches first. I want to see some jousting!!" As they entered the gift shop, Cloudy was impressed by the selection. In particular, she admired the cloudstone statues. Cloudstone was tough to work with, and the machines back at the factory weren't equipped to produce it. It was a wonder they were selling it here in bulk! She perked up and turned away from the merchandise to look at Windy when candy was mentioned. "Oh most definitely! The only thing that can make a show better is a snack!" She joined her new friend to select several different varieties. "Do you think they'll sell popcorn there? If not I think I better get some pretzels to balance the sweetness and the saltiness..." she said contemplatively.
  9. This is a character given to me by a friend < 3 Roleplay Type: WoEName: Frostflake NorthwindGender: FemaleAge: Young mareSpecies: PegasusEye colour: PurpleCoat: White which gradients into a blue-grey towards her hoovesMane/Tail: Silver and unkempt, though she does wear a bowPhysique: Farly average for her ageResidence: Occupation: Snowflake maker (weather chemist and weather pony)Cutie Mark: A handful of snowflakes descending. It appeared during a snowball fight with her friends when she consistently nailed her opponents. At the time, she knew she loved and was good at winter sports, but her success with snowballs made her realize that snow games weren't her talent, it was snow itself. She is exceptional when it comes to making snow in some way, and above average in snow-related games and activities (skiing, sledding, skating, etc.)Unique Traits: She has a unique birthmark: a pattern of snowflakes on her hooves and forelegs History: Frosty was born in Cloudsdale. She is an only child of two successful pegasi. They're business allowed them to take many trips as Frostflake grew up, so she was exposed to the best spots in all of Equestria. Thus, her view on the world is naively optimistic (for instance, when her friend in flight school mentioned that hard times had fallen on her family and that her father was out of work, she suggested the foal's family just "Go to the bank and get more money!" Her friends had to explain to her why it wasn't that simple). Despite this (or perhaps even because of it) she was quite popular as she advanced through primary school, even being named Fall Formal queen in high school. It came as a surprise to all that when she got her cutie mark in something not popularity related. Some thought it made sense; she doodled snowflakes constantly when she was bored in class and loved winter more than anypony. They could see how making snow would be a good fit. But to most it seemed odd. Her parents were visibly disappointed (though she didn't really notice as she was too proud at the time that she had finally gotten her mark), but still loved her nonetheless. When she was old enough, she found a position at the weather factory as an intern in the chemistry lab. Here, she would be helping to make the actual snowflakes that would blanket Equestria in the winters. It was a combination of chemistry and sculpture, but she found herself up to the task. Because of labor laws, she is still working as an intern, but plans to start a full time position as soon as she graduates. Character Personality: Frostflake is fairly naive and gullible. She doesn't get a lot of out-of-house experience. Her parents are rich and so they take her trips sometimes, but other than that, she doesn't have a ton of exposure. Character Summary: Frostflake is a young, spoiled pony, but not a brat. She is cheerful and fun, though tends to be naive and gullible. She loves winter and all its activities. For work, she makes the snowflakes that she plays in in the winter. Snow is just her thing. She has plenty of bits, so long as she stays in her parents' good graces.
  10. Reflection blushed a little. "Oh yeah... Heh heh I guess we do need a place to sleep, huh?" she said, following Kara to the barkeep. He checked with them to make sure Dartmouth hadn't swindled, then gave them a room at reduced price. "What kinda stallion would I be if I charged two little fillies full price for a room, huh?" And with that, they trotted off to bed.
  11. Roleplay Type: WoEName: FlowGender: FemaleAge: MareSpecies: Kelpie (as portrayed in the Season 10 IDW comics)Eye colour: light blue (#22ccff). Her pupils are white and her eyeballs are blackCoat: watery blue (#0066ff or something similar) swirly stripes of dark blue (#000099)Mane/Tail: same color as her stripes, but with some streaks of lighter blue in it. It is in a constant state of watery motion, swirling like curls as it tapers off, giving it a curled look (think similar to Apple Bumpkin)Physique: Pretty standard pony physique, but always wet. Her legs features are sharper, with thin areas being thinner than in most ponies, making her hooves look a little larger than they are. She is perpetually standing in puddles and soaking wet.Residence: She was born in a village in Farsi, but moved to Fillydelphia to become a firefighterOccupation: Emergency responderCutie Mark: A fire-hydrantUnique Traits: Flow can bend and shape her body like water, though she cannot change states. She can also separate, fuse, and regrow limbs at will, provided she is hydrated enough to replenish them. She uses this ability to dowse fires, literally shooting her arms or legs like a fire hose into the flames. She requires frequent quenching of thirst as her body evaporates with time. When she is getting low, she begins to look sickly and thin. She also gets very tired. Her job takes a lot out of her, but she loves the idea of saving lives. She has a unique edge in firefighting because unlike a firehose, she can move her streams to target flames, thus using less water. As part of her firefighting training, she does have first aid experience. She is by no means a doctor, but she knows about as much as your average EMT. History: Growing up in Farsi, it took Flow longer than her friends to get her cutie mark. She was a water creature obsessed with fire, and her parents urged her explore more interests. After all, there just wasn't much use for a kelpie whose only job was to build fires. Anypony could do that. However, when one of her mother's new recipes went horribly wrong and she was able to quickly prevent a grease fire from destroying their house (without using her water abilities, ironically), they understood. Her talent wasn't building fires, it was putting them out. She received her cutie mark that night. As she grew older, however, it became apparent that her tiny village had no need for a kelpie who dowsed fires. There were no explosions or lightning strikes, no kitchen disasters, no... anything, really. That didn't stop her, however. She read books on firefighting and different methods used to extinguish different fires. Chemical fires, for instance, required more finesse than house fires. Some fires would be too hot for her to dowse with her own abilities. She also found that firefighters had to have knowledge in first aid in case they had to rescue someone. There, she found a niche in a larger village. After becoming an EMT, she was able to work with the local hospital as a first responder. She even got to put out a fire or two. But the village was small nonetheless, and she found it grew tiresome. When trade began between Equestria and Farsi, Flow was on one of the first boats to the pony kingdom. She set down roots in the first large city she arrived in, quickly acquiring a job at the fire station, where she has remained ever since, a valuable member of the team. Character Personality: Flow is positive and cheerful. She isn't super energetic, but she is fun and charismatic. Though she doesn't go out of her way to meet new ponies, she's not opposed to new ponies meeting her. She often uses her water abilities to comfort distressed ponies on the job, performing magic-show like tricks to cheer them, such as taking off her limbs and reattaching them, making her limbs fatter, etc. When she isn't working, she is usually in her apartment or with her friends. She is currently single but is looking for a partner. None of her co-workers are interested in her, so she has been going on blind dates at her friends' recommendations lately. She doesn't like it, but at this point she's starting to feel desperate. She also loves adventure, which is part of the reason she enjoys her job so much. The riskier the better! Character Summary: Flow is a positive and fun pony who loves adventure and danger. She uses her abilities as a kelpie to save lives fighting fires in Fillydelphia. Though she is single, she is on the lookout for a partner, tired of coming home every night to an empty apartment. She's given up on that partner being Farasian, though that was initially a priority. Now she's willing to give just about anyone a chance. She enjoys spending time with friends and dowsing fires.
  12. I want to make a new character but need inspiration. What race should I go with?

You're in luck! I just got a pegasus character approved!

  13. Reflection smirked at Dartmouth and then at Karakusa. "We certainly did!" Then she whispered, "Now let's quit while we're ahead. A cardshark like him is going to try to clean us out!" She scooped the bits into Kara's bag and rose from the table. "Thanks for letting us play, but I think it's time we head out! Got a long way to travel tomorrow, and we fillies need our sleep!" She turned, a smug look on her face, and began walking towards the exit.
  14. As she ascended the steps, Twinkle caught a "her" in Blizzard's interpretation of his last card. "I'm afraid only you can truly understand your own cards. However, if there is another player in the game of your life, I'd be happy to give her a reading as well. Perhaps gaining insight into both parties could be beneficial? It is clear to me you have a strong distaste for whoever 'she' is, and while I'm no relationship therapist myself, I have been known to be a good friend, and I would be happy to help you two sort out your differences. Friendship is magic, after all. More powerful than any being in Equestria. I would hate to see a potential bond fall to hatred and malice... Of course, I understand if it's one of those situations where friendship simply can't exist. We all hold grudges sometimes (she thought of her own grudge against the 'princess' of friendship). Even I am guilty of that. But where friendship can be cultivated, it must be. It is our duty as citizens of Equestria and the world." As they reached the top of the stairs, Twinkle did some quick organizing, her green aura illuminating books and pens so that her workstation was devoid of anything but a quill and inkwell and her astrology journal. "Well then, let's get talking to the stars, shall we? You said you were born on the 15th day of the first month? Always a very cold day indeed, in areas the pegasi leave untouched. Let us see what the sky has in mind for you..." She put her eye to her telescope and began drawing a chart in her book without looking away. The perfection of the circle and its segments showed her practice. As she moved the telescope, her horn moved the quill perfectly across the paper until a chart was drawn, depicting the significant bodies of the sky in their respective houses. A few dots to represent some significant constellations, and she was ready to read. She removed her eye from the telescope and looked at the journal. Charting out what she saw like this made it much easier to read. Deciphering the sky through the limited view of her telescope was like translating a paragraph, whereas looking at a chart was like reading a sentence. She looked over the chart for several moments, then scribbled something beneath it before tearing out the page and levitating it to Blizzard. "Upon that note is your personal horoscope. I usually let my clients read it themselves. I can also give you specifics over what the position of each planet means in context, but the horoscope at the bottom is the general omen for you." When he unfolded the note, it would read, "You are focused and driven to accomplish a great goal. But something impedes your progress. Great change approaches and great opposition as well. A friend will be your greatest ally and your most powerful weapon in tumultuous times. Weather the storm together, and you will be victorious. Alone, you will most certainly find failure."
  15. Right, so I must say that although I enjoyed the movie, I was still pretty disappointed with it. There was so much potential and I felt like it was tossed away in favor of expensive actors and actresses. The biggest thing the movie had going for it was that it expanded the World of Equestria, opening up the series to bigger and better plots. But the problem was that it felt super forced. The Storm King was a terrible villain. I'm sorry, but he just was. He had no substance, no background, no real motivations, no anything really. At least with Tempest Shadow, she has a reason for working for him. She felt betrayed and he provided a way for her to get her horn back. But the Storm King (and most of his henchmen) was evil for the soul purpose of being evil. So he didn't really make sense. So I have come up with a revised plot for the movie that accomplishes the same purpose as the original, but has a much better villain and integrates the expansion the movie sought to accomplish in a much more natural way: The movie opens up in pretty much the same way, with the Festival of Friendship. While Twilight and the rest of the Mane 6 are focused on preparations, unicorns across Canterlot are beginning to find their magic surging and receding randomly. Perhaps at some point, Rarity is unable to lift an object momentarily, and then at another, her horn lets off a laser. Nonetheless, the musical number progresses naturally and everything is normal. Now enter the storm over Canterlot. Only this time, it's not caused by the arrival of the Storm King. It's caused by a great, black city materializing above the current Equestrian Capital. Everyone is frightened as Tempest Shadow levitates down with some troggles (in place of the Storm King's monkey minion things). We receive a little exposition here as Tempest claims to be the first lieutenant of King Grogar of Tambelon. Anyone who knows the tale of Gusty the Great (including the princesses) gasps. Tempest admires the city that was built on the original site of Tambelon, but then lashes out over the fact that the ponies have desecrated the land. She demands the relinquishment of the princess's magic immediately. When they refuse, she turns them into obsidian and the scene progresses pretty much like in the original, but with troggles instead of storm guards. The Mane Six head south to find the "Queen of the Hippos" as requested by Celestia before her demise. Back in Canterlot, the ponies are in chains. Tempest returns to Tambelon (still floating above Canterlot) to report on the successful conquest of Canterlot to Grogar, who has fashioned a new bell. However, it is devoid of any magic as of yet, which is why he needs the four Alicorns princesses. If he can seize their magic, then he can regain his own original bell and become the King of Monsters once more. We get a little exposition here. Tambelon was the city from which Grogar ruled the land which became Equestria. But Gusty the Great stole his bell and used it to banish the city into the realm of shadows. To prevent it from returning, the bell was hidden away and a new city was erected. The harmony between ponies in this new city created a magical barrier that prevented Tambelon's return for aeons. But eventually, the city gained enough energy to rematerialize. But it had to due so above Canterlot because the harmony there still prevented it from coming too close. But now that the ponies are captured and consumed with fear, Tambelon descends on the mountain, finally settling where it used to be. Canterlot is crushed and the ponies are imprisoned within the caves beneath the city. Back to the Mane Six, they arrive in Klugetown on schedule. The biology of Klugetown is more defined. Instead of the weird frog things and a bunch of random creatures that serve as fillers, the city is made up primarily of troggles, as well as a cat or two. Capper's number goes just as it does in the movie and everything progresses normally. Tempest arrives with armored troggles in search of the Mane Six. The rest of this scene is virtually unchanged. The Mane Six hop aboard an airship run by pirates (Calaeno and the birds, because we couldn't leave them out) who are hostile at first, however, after a rousing musical number by Rainbow Dash and the other ponies, they agree to help the ponies reclaim their homeland and take them to Mt. Aris. Unfortunately, Rainbow Dash's sonic rainboom finale alerts Tempest's ship of their actual location, and she turns around to pursue them, angry at Capper for lying to her. The M6 hide below deck as a skirmish occurs above deck between the birds and the troggles, but the birds are soon overpowered. The M6 escape out the bottom as they did originally, and Tempest discovers their next destination after seeing Twilight's map. She burns Calaeno's ship as punishment for harboring the M6. The Mt. Aris scene remains virtually unchanged, however, we find that the hippogriffs have been hiding under water for a lot longer than they originally had. When Tambelon was banished, Grogar's monsters fled Equestria and discovered the hippogriff kingdom, which they proceeded to invade. A fight was put up, but it soon became clear they would be no match for Grogar's horrors. Thus, they fled to the water. Going back up was considered several times, but the notion was always overturned (this makes seapony culture make a little more sense because no griff is alive that has recollection of living on land, thus things like stairs and showers wouldn't make sense to them [the series says they don't make sense to them, but to me that never made sense. The seaponies should remember living on land right? Not in this lore!]). Anyway, the rest of the scene progresses just as it does in the original movie with Twilight trying to steal the pearl and whatnot. Everything else also progresses normally with Twilight being captured, including Tempest Shadow's musical number (couldn't leave that out, of course!). However, Tempest's background has to be changed a little. She lived in Grogar's time. Her horn was slashed by an Ursa Major, just like in the original backstory. But rather than running away purposefully and finding the Storm King, she was instead found by Grogar one day after being ostracized by her friends. She stood up to him out of fear and anger, and he liked her attitude. So he took her in as one of his servants, promising to restore her horn if she proved worthy. She continued to work up the ranks while Tambelon was held in the Realm of Shadows (which is basically the void, so no aging occurs there), becoming his top lieutenant by the time the city returned. Once Grogar gets the alicorns' magic, he has promised to restore Tempest's horn once and for all. Finally back in Tambelon, Twilight's spirits are further broken by seeing her home in ruins, crushed beneath the dark city. The ponies have been brought out as slaves, but are still in chains. She is taken to Grogar's throne room, where he uses his new bell to steal the alicorns' magic for himself, adding to his power. He relishes in his might. On the basalt beach, the scene with the rest of the M6 and the rebellion progresses normally. They breach Tambelon's defenses as they did in the original film. The fight scene also progresses fairly similarly, but I'll reiterate it to highlight the differences: As the M5 are entering the city, Tempest and Twilight look on. Grogar is disgusted by their friendship and causes a solar eclipse, as well as a massive cyclone. Tempest reminds him of his promise, and he refuses to restore her horn until he gets his original bell back. She realizes he will never really restore her horn like he promised to. Tempest is nearly sucked into the cyclone, but Twilight saves her. Gogar is enraged, seeing that Tempest is now considering defecting, and prepares to destroy both her and Twilight. However, the rest of the M6 use a party cannon to fire themselves up and nock Grogar over. His beam of destruction misses and destroys a building instead. Twilight reconciles with her friends as the bell rolls across the floor, ringing uncontrollably. The storm becomes stronger and the sun flares, creating aurora above them. Twilight and Grogar charge for the bell at the same time and both are lost to the cyclone. It appears Twilight is gone for good, when she floats down with the bell in hoof. Grogar tries to turn her to obsidian just as the Storm King did, but instead turns himself and Tempest. After he falls and is shattered, Twilight restores Tempest, and they become friends. The movie's ending scene is unchanged, with a song by Songbird Serenade and some character growth from Tempest Shadow (Fizzlepop Berrytwist). If you've read this far, then I hope you liked it and hopefully it made sense (please let me know if anything didn't and I'll elaborate! I sometimes have a hard time putting my thoughts into words :|||)! I feel like Grogar would be a much better villain for the movie and would advance the plot of the series a lot better. Plus, the Return of Tambelon would be a throwback to G1, and we know how much the G4 writers love to do that! Grogar also makes a lot more sense with established lore. It also makes some aspects of the movie fit in a lot better with the series. Plus, with my integration, the rest of the series can remain virtually unchanged. Let me know what you think! If I overlooked anything, if you think a different villain would be better, etc. I'd love to hear your opinions!
  16. How could Reflection have fun when they were gambling with the only bits they had?? She just had to pray that she was dealt a good hand. Ten of hearts and three of spades. Not bad... anything below and 8 would be perfect. As Dartmouth went around the table again, she considered her next move. Another pony already had 19, so it was just a matter of getting closer than that without busting. She took a chance. "Hit me," she said, apprehension audible in her voice. Dartmouth smirked as he passed her her card. She could barely look. She flipped it over slowly, just enough to see the number.... A miracle! It was an 8 of diamonds! She let out an excited squeal that turned a few heads in the tavern, and immediately calmed down, embarrassed. They were keeping their bits!
  17. Already hopping on the G5 cast boat, eh? xD ; )
  18. "You're so sweet, Windy," Cloudy said in response. As they prepared to leave for the gift shop, Windy stopped her to ask if there was anything Cloudy wanted to do before going to the matches. Cloudy blinked for a moment. "Jousting matches..? Oh! The jousting matches! Of course! Um... No, not that I can think of! I have a list back in my hotel, but having a Las Pegasus native to show me the sights beats anything on there I'm sure! Although, I've heard they recently replaced the Wild Blue Yonder in the Flim Flam Brothers' Casino, and I would like to check that out at some point... But that can wait! I'd love to see the gift shop!" She followed Windy to the front of the restaurant, where they both paid, then allowed her to lead the way forwward from there.
  19. Upon seeing their only bits hit the table, Reflection looked at Kara with a panicked expression. "Karakusa, the bartender said --" but she was cut off by Dartmouth as he swiped the bits up and put them into the pile with the other ponies' bits. "Come now, little filly! Your friend here has the spirit! All or nothin'! Good motto to live by!" A couple of the other stallions chuckled at his remark, and one of them looked nervously over at the bar, where Marukas appeared to be occupied for the moment with another customer. Dartmouth dealt the cards, and Reflection looked rather sour, especially after looking at hers. The dealer then began going around the circle, dealing where requested until he got to Karakusa.
  20. Chipper continued to astonish Morning Glow. Going into the Everfree Forest?? Few ponies were that crazy. She'd read about it in numerous books. A strange kind of magic worked there, one that ponies couldn't control, and she had no interest in being eaten by some vicious plant or monster within it's bounds. With the assembly finished, she decided to head back to her dorm so she could decide on her electives. That was the part she was most excited for. Friendship classes would be a pain, but if she could take something magic-related, it would make up for the required courses. She trotted out of the classroom, avoiding other ponies, and then continued back towards her dorm. Upon arriving, she remembered who her dorm mate was going to be and sighed. It would be ok, she could just do most of her studying in the library so she could avoid the other mare's sister. Caramel herself didn't seem to be that bad, other than being oblivious to clearly dangerous magic, but Kettle? She couldn't stand to be around the hyperactive filly. Fillies like that didn't do well in school, and she didn't want it to rub off on her. She needed to pass as quickly as possible so she could get back to Canterlot, on track with her studies. If she could do that quickly enough, then she might not fall too behind in real school. Pushing those thoughts out of her mind, she took the course list from the door and began to examine it.
  21. Dawn laughed good-naturedly with her guest as she magically opened the cards and shuffled them in the air before her, then spread them before him. "Choose three," she said, becoming suddenly somber. "The first will provide insight pertaining to yourself, the second to your situation, and the third, to your challenges." She watched carefully as he selected his cards and she laid them out on the table. The rest of the deck she set aside. Then, she flipped the first card. "The Seven of Swords. Through self-discipline you have honed new skills of observation and perception; now you know how to come out on top. With the Seven of Swords in this position, you have cultivated the attitudes, habits and disposition of a winner. You have trained yourself to instinctively notice the opportunity, positive potential or advantage in a situation. Although this may not be a characteristic you originally possessed, you have disciplined yourself in such a way that you naturally seek out the openings in your life. You have learned to look past all the obstacles and setbacks you encounter as if they were already conquered." She patiently allowed him to comment before proceeding to the second. "The Nine of Coins. You have been offered the freedom to follow your heart; do not let the opportunity go by. When the Nine of Coins is in this position, it means you are supported by an established enterprise that will provide for you while you increase your knowledge and abilities. All that is required in return is that you thrive and flourish. It is a great trade. This is an unusual situation -- take advantage of it to pursue your interests and develop your talents. Remember to stay humble. You are benefiting from some larger institution or structure and you want to take care not to poison the waters for yourself or others who will come after you. Be receptive to the benefits and the advantages and make sure you give fair value in return." After allowing space for him to say something if he wanted, she flipped the third card. "The Ace of Cups. Acknowledge and enjoy this time of ease and tranquillity, but remember to stay mindful. When the Ace of Cups is in this position, allow yourself to enjoy the feelings of security this situation produces for you without going soft, becoming complacent, or losing your edge. Imagine floating down a river: you enter a smooth passageway where you can relax and trust the river's flow. This is one of those times. Don't relax totally, however, because the rapids and shoals can take you by surprise. Pay attention to this moment of blessing. Be grateful for its smooth flow, acknowledge its presence and enjoy it, but don't fall asleep at the helm. "Beyond what the cards have shown me here, the rest is for your interpretation. The tarot cards are meant to give you clarity and confidence in your future proceedings. They may not always be accurate, but they frequently are." She then perked up, sliding the cards back into the deck and the deck back into the box. Her somber manner dropped and she was back to the Twinkle he had been talking to moments before. "Now, about that horoscope... You said you were born on the 15th day of the first month? And a particularly cold one at that? Well then, shall we see what the stars have to say?" She stood and walked towards the stairs to the observatory. (These tarot readings were copied and pasted from www.tarot.com)
  22. Lope Lighthoof Lope took his leave as well, heading out and keeping his eye out as he had been doing before. So far, between he and Tangent, they hadn't seen any confirmed sightings, but he hoped they could find whatever it was tonight so that they could leave sooner. While he loved Ponyville, it being his hometown, he didn't want to stay. It was unlikely he'd be recognized, but not impossible. Plus, he couldn't risk getting nostalgic and becoming distracted. He needed Ponyville to be just like any other town so he could do his best work. Unfortunately, that all went out the window when as he was searching, he noticed the door to his old house. The lights were off, and a few forgotten toys were strewn by the steps, making it evident that a family now lived there. He stopped for a moment and wondered what the current residents were like? How old was their foal? Did his house still look the same on the inside? Of course, he hadn't been back since before he "died" on the train. That got him wondering what had happened to all his posessions. Obviously he hadn't been able to clear them out. Had they been sold? Saved? Destroyed? Buckball posters, his furniture, the health food he kept his kitchen stocked with... Where was it all now? Movement broke his train of thought. There had definitely been movement. Something darted from one alley to another right in front of him! Without a second thought, he sprinted after it and rounded the corner into the alleyway just in time to see it dart to the right on the other end. "Lighthoof, checking in. I may be in pursuit of the creature," he said into the earpiece, keeping his tone level so as not to wake the locals. As he exited the alley, he saw the mass briefly before it... vanished? One moment it was there, another, there was just the glow of the streetlamp next to where it had been. There hadn't been a magical *pop* like those that accompanied teleportation. It was just gone. He kicked the ground in frustration. "Never mind, it got away. Vanished into thin air right before my eyes. I have confirmed visual, though. Looks like the claims might be real after all." Tangent Line As the other two left, Line approached the griffon, horn glowing. Her subjects eyes glowed with her aura momentarily, then the spell finished, leaving the creature with night vision comparable to that of a areion. "There you go. Now you shouldn't need that... thing," she said. "Now let's roll out." And with that, she turned and trotted off in her direction. Unlike Lighthoof, her exposure to Ponyville was minimal, and she didn't really get attached to places anyway, so her distraction by the town was minimal. Rather, her trained eyes logged every house and animal movement. Her ears stood alert, which called her attention momentarily to the annoying earpiece, but she shoved the feeling out of her mind to concentrate again on the task at hand. Then the call came in from Lighthoof. She immediately turned and sprinted towards his section. "Location?" she asked, but all she got was the news of the creature's disappearance. Frustrated, she still kept running. "Any clue where it might be going?" she asked. It might not have vanished. It could have simply turned invisible. If Lighthoof remembered it's trajectory, she might be able to figure out approximately where it was headed.
  23. Discord spit a raspberry at his other self. "Puh-lease, darling!" His voice mimicked Rarity's momentarily, but then he continued in his own. "What kind of Lord of Chaos would we be if we had a plan? Let alone one with (he shivered) particulars!" He snapped his fingers and a large piece of parchment resembling strikingly the Marauder's Map appeared, displaying all of Equestria rather than Hogwarts. Only eleven hoofprint trails appeared -- those of the Mane 6, the former princesses, and the Crystal Empire royalty -- along with a circle surrounded by arrows to represent Discords' position. "Let's just pop in for a bit and have a little fun! Nothing like the old days of course, just something minor, like a bad mane day or confiscating her horn for a bit!" He chuckled manically, and the map flashed out of existence. "Come on, boys! Last on there's Lord of Order!" And with that, he snapped his fingers and disappeared, taking all evidence of his visitation with him.
