Welcome, once again, to the site! I’m Wziela, but you can call me whatever you want. Don’t feel too overwhelmed by the style of forum roleplays. It is actually really simple once you get the hang of it! If you need any help, feel free to shoot me a PM and I’d be glad to help in any way I can. Although, I am a bit new too so I may not know everything I’m also a big fan of horror! What’s your favorite type? Mine is either H.P. Lovecraft-esque cosmic horror or American Gothic. It’s a pleasure to meet you, and I look forward to roleplaying with you in the future (hopefully)!
  2. Sundown Trail glanced at the sky. Celestia’s sun had just risen above the horizon. Of course, for somepony nocturnal like him, it was late. Very late. He stifled back a yawn as he strolled through the streets of Hollow Shades. He had wanted to visit some of the shops while they were open and since the owners weren’t nocturnal he had to stay up late into the morning. Work had brought him to Hollow Shades. Apparently, there was some kind of issue in the area and the local law enforcement asked for assistance from the Royal Guard. So, Sundown was sent down from Canterlot to lend a hoof. The Guard had paid for him to stay in one of the nicer stables on the outskirts of town, and they allowed him a couple days to get settled before he was supposed to report to the local police. It was his second day in town, and he had to wonder what the issue was. There weren't a lot of things that would warrant sending down an investigator. Sundown shrugged to himself. Whatever it was, he’d certainly learn why he was sent down when he reports in. One store sign caught his eye in particular. He stopped and read it. Curios… Exotic items… Rarities… This might be interesting. If anything, he could get himself a souvenir for when he returned back home. He headed towards the front door and stepped into the shop.
  3. Roleplay Type: WoE Name: Sundown Trail Gender: Male Age: Young Stallion Species: Areion Eye colour: Green - #71b74b Coat: Light gray - #cacaca Mane/Tail: Purple. He has thick wavy hair that he keeps in a masculine style. Some lone hairs stick up or out, giving him an unkempt appearance. - #563d94 Physique: Fit, but only enough to pass Royal Guard standards. Residence: Canterlot, although his work takes him all over Equestria. Occupation: An investigator in the Royal Equestrian Guard. Cutie Mark: A magnifying glass over a hoofprint, showing his talent for investigating and following clues. He received his cutie mark after finding a foal who was lost in the forest near the village where he grew up. Unique Traits: Sundown excels at following trails, whether they are physical trails in the countryside or metaphorical trails of evidence. He also has a basic competence in hoof-to-hoof combat from his Royal Guard training. History: Sundown was born to two Areion parents in a small Areion settlement in the Whitetail Wood. The Areions of his village were distrusting of other ponies and they shunned outside contact, preferring to keep to themselves and their own kind. The introvertedness of his village was a leftover from the bitterness felt from Luna’s banishment. Sundown was a curious foal, and he was fascinated by the other pony races. The Unicorn’s ability to cast amazing spells intrigued him, as well as the Earth Ponies’ innate connection with the earth and nature. He also was rapt at the Pegasi’s ability to control the weather, and he was amazed at how weather was a scheduled and regimented thing all over Equestria. Although other villagers looked down upon this fascination of his, Sundown’s parents supported his interest and bought him some books about the other pony races. The first time he met a non-Areion was when a group of Royal Guardsponies arrived in his village. Sundown gushed over the Guardsponies, he was finally able to meet the types of ponies he had read so much about! But then, he learned why the Guardsponies had come. They were a search party looking for a young filly who had gone missing in the Whitetail Wood, and they had come to the village to ask if anypony in the village had seen the missing filly. Sundown had not seen the missing filly, but he knew the area around the village like the back of his hoof, and he wanted to help. He went up to the pony in charge of the search party, a Royal Guard investigator named Looking Glass, and offered his help. At first, Looking Glass did not take Sundown seriously. What could this little colt who had not even gotten his cutie mark do to help a group of trained Royal Guardponies? But after receiving some childlike stubbornness and a couple pleas from Sundown, Looking Glass relented and let him come along. By following the trail left by the missing filly, Sundown was able to lead the search party right to her. Looking Glass was impressed, and said that Sundown would make a good detective one day. After arriving back in the village, Sundown found out that during the search he had received his cutie mark. Inspired by the Guardsponies who had come to his village, and their selflessness in searching for the missing foal, Sundown now knew what he wanted to do in life: join the Royal Guard. After finishing his final years of schooling, Sundown went to Canterlot to enlist. While in basic training, he stumbled across Looking Glass. Now a senior investigator for the Royal Guard, Looking Glass took Sundown under his wing and fast-tracked his investigative career. Sundown’s first assignment was serving as an assistant investigator under Looking Glass. After a couple productive years working as an assistant investigator, Sundown was promoted to a regular investigator and given his own cases to work on. He mostly likes to work on missing ponies cases, but sometimes he is assigned to investigate criminal cases. Character Personality: Well-meaning and polite, Sundown tries to put his best hoof forward whenever he meets somepony new. Although, he has a slight sarcastic streak. He has a strong sense of duty and likes to help other ponies. Sundown is a bright pony, and he has a knack for figuring things out. He isn’t “book smart”, so-to-speak, but he has a good intuition. He is a lover of puzzles and other types of brainteasers, his favorite of which to play is Sudoku. Despite his intelligence, Sundown is clumsy and can be a bit oblivious sometimes. Much to his own chagrin. Sundown likes to get up early so he can have more time to be out and be productive. However, since he is nocturnal, what is early for him is late evening for his non-nocturnal pony brethren. When angry, Sundown gets very snarky and confrontational. Sundown likes to be very forgiving, so it is not easy to get him upset. But, there are a couple things that push his buttons more than others. Character Summary: A somewhat clumsy, dutiful Areion detective whose disheveled exterior conceals a sharp and inquisitive mind.
  4. I'm still interested in joining, so you can count me in.
  5. Roleplay Type: WoE Name: Jet Blast Gender: Stallion Age: Young adult Species: Pegasus Eye colour: Rose-colored - #d64987 Coat: Yellow - #dbcb03 Mane/Tail: Blue - #076c94 His medium-length mane is loose and windswept, because he spends a lot of time flying and in inclement weather. Physique: Fit. Residence: Cloudsdale Occupation: Weather pony Cutie Mark: Four wisps, representing a blast of wind. It represents his special talent for weather manipulation as well as excellent flying. Jet got his cutie mark during a take-your-child-to-work day event his mother brought him to. While he was being introduced to a group of weather ponies who were setting up a large storm over Cloudsdale, Jet noticed a cloud break free from its assigned place and start drifting away rapidly. A quick glance around told him that none of the weather team members saw what was happening, so Jet took off after the cloud. When he caught up with the cloud, he realized that he was able to move and manipulate it with almost no difficulty. After wrangling the wild cloud back to the weather ponies so they could put it back in its proper spot, Jet noticed that he had received his cutie mark during the pursuit! Unique Traits: Good at weather/cloud manipulation - Jet is able to move and manipulate weather better than the average pegasus. His apprenticeship with the weather team has allowed him to hone his weather management skills. Good flier - Because of his active lifestyle and spending a lot of time using his wings, Jet is an excellent flier and can fly for longer and faster than the average pegasus. His friends always tell him he should join the Wonderbolts Reserve, but Jet doubts that he's good enough, and he still has a bad taste in his mouth from an bad experience he had with a Wonderbolt back in the day. Perhaps one day he'll go to one of the Wonderbolts tryouts… Hoofball jersey - Whenever he goes out to watch a hoofball game, he likes to wear the sports jersey of the local Cloudsdalian team to show support. History: Jet Blast was born to two pegasus parents in Cloudsdale. His father was a Cloudsdale city clerk and his mother was a member of the Weather Management Team. He was their second child. Their first child was Jet's fraternal twin sister, Jet Wash, who was born about a minute before he was. Jet spent a lot of his childhood playing with his older twin sister, and the two of them were practically inseparable. They'd do everything together, they both learned to fly together, they played games together, they went to school together, and they went out exploring together. When they were both old enough, their parents enrolled them both in the same flight camp. Jet and his sister became very competitive while at flight camp and they would both push themselves to one-up the other when it came to flying. While both Jet and his sister remained about evenly matched when it came to flying ability, the amount of practice and effort they put in made them into two of the best fliers in their class. It was during his stint in the flight camp that Jet realized that he loved to fly and be up in the open sky. After Jet and his older sister graduated from the flight camp with top marks, their parents encouraged them both to try out for the Junior Wonderbolts. They agreed and went to one of the tryouts. Jet and his sister would've both passed the qualifiers, but another Junior Wonderbolt candidate sabotaged his sister's attempt and the examiner refused to give her another try. Jet had already gone and passed the test, but when he saw how unfair the examiner was being, he told the examiner off (as politely as he was able to) and went to go comfort his sister. After that, Jet refused to go to any of the Junior Wonderbolt practices. After he finished school, Jet Blast applied for an apprenticeship with the Cloudsdale weather management team and he was accepted. After a couple years of apprenticing, Jet was brought on as a full member of the team and that is where he continues to work to this day. He is currently assigned to the Thunderhead team who put together any big storms for the local area. Jet remains on very good terms with his older twin sister, Jet Wash, and they both routinely meet up to hang out and do stuff together. Jet also likes to go out and do stuff with old friends around Cloudsdale, most of whom he met back in flight camp or school. Jet is a big fan of hoofball and he is a loyal fan of the local Cloudsdalian team. He tries to go out to watch every game held in the Cloudsdale Coliseum, but sometimes life gets in the way. He also enjoys watching the chariot races and air shows held in the Coliseum, but not as much as hoofball. Character Personality: Jet is a loud and active pony with an impulsive streak. He can think quick on his hooves and is able to adapt to almost any situation thrown at him, provided it's not too extraordinary. Friendly and sociable, Jet enjoys making friends and spending time with those he likes. He also enjoys helping others, especially when he is helping them in something he is passionate about. However, Jet can be impulsive at times, and he occasionally dives into a situation (sometimes literally) without thinking about what the consequences might be. He also can get impatient, especially when he's in a situation which does not interest him. Jet is a rather forgiving pony, and it is hard to make him angry unintentionally. Although he becomes irritable when frustrated or tired. When he is mad, he becomes very terse and speaks in an angry tone of voice. He also tends to shuffle his wings without thinking about it when he's upset or anxious about something. One of his vices is coffee. To put it nicely: he has a strong coffee-drinking habit. To put it not-so-nicely: he's a coffee addict. While he doesn't keep a cup of joe in his hooves 24/7, he does drink at least a couple of cups a day. Jet lives for the fun of flying, and he loves his job as a weather pony because it allows him to be in the air for most of the day. Although he dislikes it when he is assigned to less active duties in the weather team, like filling out paperwork. Jet's dream is to one day become the foreman of his local weather team. Although he hasn't quite thought about how much paperwork and desk-jockeying will come with the position. Jet's biggest fear is losing his wings, perhaps not the most realistic fear, but he just couldn't imagine himself without the ability to fly and therefore without the ability to use his special talent. Character Summary: A friendly and helpful weather pony, who is prone to bouts of impatience or impulsivity.

    Hi there!

Hey, that's great! It's a pleasure to meet you! Which ttrpgs do you play? I mainly play Fall of Delta Green, but I've been thinking about getting into Traveller or D&D.

    Hi there!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! It's great to meet you all! To answer your question, Cubbage, the program I'm in will end with me getting an Associate's Degree, but, more importantly, I'll be eligible to take the FAA's test to get an aircraft maintenance license. If I pass the test, I'll be given my license and I'll be allowed to maintain and repair aircraft. I'm hoping to end up working for either JetBlue or American Airlines. They're my two personal favorite airlines, although I do like JetBlue a little more than American. I'm currently working on a character for the roleplay, and I'll (hopefully) get an application up soon! 🙂

    Hi there!

About Myself Hi there! I am Wziela. I am a college student currently studying to get an aircraft maintenance license so I can fix planes professionally. I’ve been roleplaying for a couple years now, but it’s mainly been some informal stuff with friends over Instant Messaging. I’m here because I’ve decided to try my hand at more forum-centric roleplays. I’ve done a couple forum RPs in the past, but I’ve never really been too good at it. So, I figure that it won't hurt to try to improve my skills! Now, onto some of my interests: I like to watch movies, I like to read, I like to go out fishing, I especially enjoy going out and exploring places I've never been to before. Uhh... What else? Oh! I'm also interested in almost all things aviation related. How I found Canterlot.com I found Canterlot.com while surfing the web. I was explicitly looking for a MLP roleplay community to join, and I found Canterlot.com because it was mentioned in a forum post on another website (I think it was one of the Poniverse sites). I decided to take a look at Canterlot.com and it seems to be a really nice community, so I decided to join! How I became a fan of MLP:FiM Well, I first got into MLP:FiM around half a decade ago. I was originally one of those kids who would laugh in somebody’s face if they told me they liked MLP. But then, I realized that it was not really that honest of me to judge somebody else for liking a show I haven’t even seen. So, I decided to watch the first couple episodes to see what it's about… Then I watched the entire first season… Then the next season… And ultimately, I ended up getting hooked! Go figure. My favorite main cast/pony I’ve always been a sucker for Rainbow Dash. What can I say? She’s cool. 🙃 And here’s the fun part. Well, I dunno exactly what to put here. So I'll do some fun facts: I took Karate classes for the better part of a decade. Though, I'm probably out of practice by now. My accent is very distinctive, and you'd probably be able to guess where I'm from if you heard it. I'm currently learning to play the guitar, but I'm still a beginner. My favorite movie is Murder on the Orient Express. My favorite TV show (other than MLP:FiM) is Columbo. I like to play tabletop RPGs! I'm currently GMing a Fall of Delta Green campaign with some of my buddies from my college. I like to worldbuild and read about alternate histories. Thanks for reading! I look forward to roleplaying with you guys!
