You can do it like me and have a hugely modded server for roleplay, complete with positional voice chat. My computer hates me for it.

That is fair enough. But just remember that the option is there once things calm down and you possibly feel more comfortable with the idea.

Just look online. I've found great places on craigslist (again, make sure you meet everyone and see the place before anything) that I stayed at for a year. Trust me, as long as you don't mind moving a bit more, you can get some great places, for cheap too.

If you're worried about leaving the other guy with all the rent, see about putting out an ad yourself. As long as it's clean when people check it out, a few won't care enough that he's normally messy and just need a place.

As of last week I've seen my quota of two films in theatre for the year, so I'll have to wait for it to come out digitally

Honestly, having enough for rent is the only concerning thing, I've learned. As long as you don't go looking for roommates that are crime lords, you'll do just fine.
