  1. ((Sorry it took me so long, I've been having a crazy week taking care of someone in my family who just had surgery)) "I- I don't know!" Twilight said. "The last thing I remember was attending some kind of meeting, but the details are too fuzzy for me to remember what it was about." Looking around the room for an exit, she noticed a stack of papers and walked over to read it. OPERATION NEW HOME Mission details: Equestria is dying. A new world is needed in order for all life to survive. A new planet has been found about 0.25 light years away. Objective: Assess planet for life compatability. Dangers: Watch out for t The page was torn. "Watch out for what?" Twilight muttered as she searched the other pages, but all she found were the contracts of the space crew saying that they would go on this trip. The words "Agree that I may die in a very painful way" did not bring Twilight any comfort. What made her even more nervous is that Sunburst and Starlight had not joined the crew. At least the rest of the Mane 6 would be there! Twilight wordlessly handed the pages to Spike, putting her head in her hooves. How was she supposed to complete this mission if she couldn't even remember anything about it? Then, an idea struck her. Searching through the compartments below the place where the contracts had been, she shouted "Aha!" Her journal that she used to communicate with Sunset Shimmer was there! She opened up the book, prepared to write a message asking what in the name of Celestia was going on, when she saw the messages written most recently, and her heart sank. Dear Twilight I'm so sorry to hear about Equestria's ecosystem failing. That's awful! I think your plan of sending citizens to my world is a great idea. I'll sneak them in at night and the girls and I can teach them how to act. Unfortunately, we can't bring in everyone, since that would cause suspicion from the government. I can arrange for many of them to stay at Camp Everfree. Just send in 200 ponies for now. We don't know what the other species would turn into if they went through the portal. Your faithful student, - Sunset 1 year later Dear Twilight, I didn't hear from you for a couple weeks, until some fancy pony in a suit came through the portal to let me know you'd gone on a space mission. He said there was some kind of malfunctioning with the timer, and instead of being in cryo-sleep for 1 year, you could be in it anywhere from 1 day to 100 years! It's already the one year anniversary since you left, and there's still no word from you. We've been able to evacuate about half of Greater Equestria, and shuttle them off to different schools. I hope to see you again someday. Your faithful student, - Sunset 1 year later Dear Twilight, We've successfully evacuated all of Greater Equestria and are currently trying to convince those in the Outlying Realms to come through the portal. Please, if you're awake, send me word. Your worried student, - Sunset 5 years later Dear Twilight, I'm sorry I haven't written in a long time. We're trying to conserve the pages of the journal in hopes that one day you will wake up and be able to write back. Sunburst has estimated that we have 50 years before Equestria is completely uninhabitable. Only 1/4 of the population of the Outlying Realms have agreed to leave. The others are refusing to leave their ancestral home. Sunburst also cast a memory spell to find what the countdown timer was set to. You aren't going to wake up for about 3 more years. By that time, the spaceship will have completed its scans of the atmosphere, taken photos of the land while in orbit, and scanned for lifeforms. If the planet is inhabitable, you can then land, look for any geological data, learn more about what dangers there are here, and make peace with any native creatures (If there are any) and return to Equestria. Only take 1 year on the planet, or else the spaceship will run out of fuel and you won't be able to make it home. By the time you return, it will have been 21 years. I wish you luck, Twilight. Your faithful student, - Sunset ((That's all I'm going to do for today, sorry. I'm worn out.))
  2. Twilight was cold. Incredibly cold. Even though this temperature was not normally relaxing, for some reason, she felt comfortable, like she was a foal again and had just given her mother a hug. But as she moved one hoof and felt a hard surface that did not feel anything like her bed at the palace, her mind awoke, and she panicked. "Spike?" Twilight called out. When she received no answer, she leaped out of her... bed? This wasn't her bed. This was some strange machine. Looking down at her clothes, Twilight began to realize that she was far from home.
  3. ((She didn't get back to her family, so I still followed the odds technically)) McKenzie sat up and groaned. "Oh, please tell me I didn't say anything cheesy." Looking down at her ankle, where a heart-shaped scar had been, she said, "Wow, that alchemy stuff really works. Thanks."
  4. Sure, just let me know when
  5. ((Well this is embarrassing, my speech didn't really work all that well. Also, lol, I know I said I'm wearing glasses, just means I have double vision, doesn't mean my eyes are slow haha.)) "Alright, suit yourself," McKenzie said. "I'll be trying to find my family if you need to look for me. And, if you- don't... hear... from me," she said, staring at the floor, "Tell my family I love them." Saluting, she used her ice bracelet to turn a window to ice, shattered it, and fell backwards through it, head first. Less than 10 seconds later, McKenzie burst through the door, holding her side. She looked several years older. Her hair was chopped off in odd places, as if it had been cut in a hurry. Staggering over to Rad, she gasped "I would like to apologize for my arrogance. I understand the dangers of time travel, and come to you, a changed woman." She then keeled over onto the floor of the bar. ((Don't worry, she isn't dead.))
  6. Honestly, melatonin didn't work for me on its own, that's why I use it along with trazadone. That's cool you got a medication, even if you can only use it a couple times a week
  7. ((Could you send me the link to that thread please? I can't find it.)) McKenzie raised her finger for a refill and then crossed her arms, raising one eyebrow at Rad. "So, that's it? You're just going to give up? If this family means so much to you, you need to get up, stop feeling sorry for yourself, and look for them. What sounds better to you, drinking your past away for all eternity, or risking life and limb to search for the peop- I mean- ponies who care about you?" McKenzie looked down towards her bracelets and gently stroked them, one tear rolling down her face. She brushed it away and sniffed. "Listen, Rad, about a year ago, I had a family. I had a normal life with my friends. Then, my friends and I found these bracelets, and I was kidnapped. I-" McKenzie tried to continue, but she choked on her tears. "The point is, I almost found my family, and then I got pulled to this stupid bar. So, if I, a 13 year old girl whos only special ability are two bracelets can come that close to finding my family, then you can too. So get off your rear end and start looking for them," McKenzie shouted, standing on top of her chair. She blushed when she realized that some of the other patrons had heard her and were drunkenly applauding.
  8. I'm Mountain Daylight time. I have cousins in your timezone, so I'm used to coordinating stuff with people in that timezone. Yeah, I know the feeling, I have insomnia. Have you tried trazodone and melatonin? They work wonders for sleeping.
  9. "Well, I may not understand a lot of those terms, but I'm willing to help you out. It's not like I have much else to do." McKenzie watched two creatures that looked like a cross between an octopus and a birthday cake knock each other to the ground before a silver mist covered them and they sat, looking dazed (Well, as dazed as octo-cakes can look.) Thinking of an idea of how to help Rad, McKenzie sat up and turned towards Rad. "Have you tried asking Keith for help? He must have some connections, being the bartender of the tavern of the multiverse."
  10. No problem, I think you're two hours ahead of me so by the time I even start you'll probably be wide awake
  11. "No thanks, I can do it myself, Keith." McKenzie waved her hand and the drink filled itself with the perfect amount of ice. She was so used to her powers that she didn't consider this would draw unwanted attention. Catching the bottle as it was slid across the counter towards her, McKenzie took a sip and sighed. "That sounds awful. Can't say I relate, as the reality I was in was much worse than this one." Realizing where she recognized Rad, she gasped. "Wait, you're Rainbow Dash??!! I love My Little Pony! I just didn't realize it was real!"
  12. You're welcome! I think I'll be able to replicate her mani- CUPCAKES DO YOU SEE CUPCAKES THEY'RE OVER THERE and we could find an octopus to take the role of Fluttershy but then that wouldn't make sense because octopi can't use phones and did you see that funny video about the dog that eats cheese and- That was my audition for the part of Pinkie Pie, I hope you enjoyed it *bows* We could wait maybe 2 more days, cause I'm busy on Sunday.
  13. ((Ok that's the funniest thing I've heard today) Sunblossom nodded and offered her hoof to shake hooves/claws to seal the deal. "Thanks! I'm gonna be heading home now!" As she began to swim away, she called back "And talk to Twilight about drinking chamomile tea! It helps calm the nerves!" Sunblossom smiled to herself as she shook the water from her coat and trotted home, knowing she had made a new friend.
  14. Ok, can we just pause for one second and talk about how amazing of a song Unleash the Magic is? I mean, the other songs in "Equestria Girls: The Friendship Games" are already amazing as it is (with the exception of There's More that's Out There, I don't really like that one) but Unleash the Magic is just *chef's kiss*. I get chills listening to it. Here's why it's so great: 1. The vocals of the background singers are haunting and fit the theme of the song. 2. The expressions on everyone's faces perfectly convey their emotions and help tell the story 3. You can feel the tension as Twilight starts walking towards Sunset, and Spike running towards Twilight with that look of fear in his eyes makes me hold my breath in anticipation.
  15. Ok here's my character: 13 year old skinny, short, long-haired blonde girl with green eyes and teal glasses, usually wears jeans and t-shirts. Tough, sarcastic personality, but once you get close to her, she's an intelligent, kind, a little pessimistic person. She has a magic bracelet on each wrist, one of them allows her to use ice-related powers, the other one allows her to use fire-related powers. Her name is McKenzie. McKenzie looked at the offers of drinks, and chose a Mt. Dew with strawberry, pineapple, and peach flavoring mixed in it. Looking at the familiar pony, she moved and sat down next to her, resting her arms on the table. "You seem kind of familiar," McKenzie said out of the corner of her mouth. "Do we know each other?"
  16. Sunblossom beamed. "I would love to hang out sometime! I think it would do us both a favor." "I really want to be a therapist when I graduate. I know they can get a bad reputation as only being for crazy people, but I feel like it would be a great way to help others! I mean, my cutie mark is about helping others," she said, turning to show Spike the symbol of a flower growing from a heart on her flank. "I kinda thought if I gained a reputation at a school, maybe I could be a guidance counselor once I graduated, since there aren't many openings for therapists. And when I got accepted into Celestia's school, it was the perfect chance to achieve my dream, since the current counselor is a bit... old. It certainly is taking a long time though, I didn't realize how long the program at Celestia's school is." Sunblossom said, resting her head on one of her hooves and twirling the other one in the water to make swirling patterns.
  17. Sunblossom laughed. "Why would I put marshmallows in carrot juice?" She noticed Spike's wince, and briefly wondered what it meant, before deciding to respond to his next comment. "Wow, you must not have a very peaceful life if blowing up is a regular occurrence for you. That must be difficult!" She gave him a sad smile. "As for your question, I like it here better. Canterlot has been kind of sad for me, since there isn't as many students as I had hoped to be around, and the ones that are there are too focused on work to actually try to make friends. I just stay there because I hope going to this school will open more doors for me. But, it doesn't look that way to me anymore." Blinking, Sunblossom wondered why she had just expounded her worries to someone she had just barely met, when she hadn't told even her mother how she felt. "Sorry, didn't mean to put a damper on your day, I guess I'm an open book." Sunblossom chuckled half heartedly.
  18. Sunblossom was staring at "The Abridged History of Dragons" by A. R. Featherdancer and trying to make sense of all the words dancing in front of her eyes. She had been studying for hours, and still didn't understand why scale polishing was so important to Blathard the Vain. Yawning, she closed the book and was about to crawl into bed when she heard yelling coming from the courtyard Looking out the window, she saw several blurry figures doing cartwheels in the sky while Professor Sandyheart scolded them. Sunnyblossom closed the blinds, her tired brain not thinking about the difference between sight and sound, and hoping that it would block out some of the noise. As Sunblossom was about to fall asleep with earplugs in, there was a knock so loud on the door that the earplugs fell out. "Who's knocking at this hour?" Sunblossom groaned.
  19. Sunblossom squinted at Spike for a moment, wondering how in the world he had pulled an entire cup of coffee out of thin air, but then shook her head and smiled. "Thanks for the offer, but I don't drink coffee. I do drink carrot juice though! It's my absolute favorite!"
  20. "Oh, that makes sense!" Sunblossom exclaimed. "I'm sorry, that was insensitive of me to not realize why you were using one," she said, blushing. Thinking for a moment, she exclaimed, "I have an idea!" Using her horn to teleport, she went to the store in town and bought some huge marshmallows and a small blow-up lounge. She then teleported back to the lake. Swimming out to Spike's board, she explained, "If you put these marshmallows on your spikes, you can't pop the floating lounge. Sure, it'll be a little sticky afterwards, but it'll probably be more comfortable than the hard board."

  22. "Oh, nice to meet you Spike," Sunblossom replied, trying to sound cool. She didn't want to sound like one of those adoring fans of the Princess of Friendship, and she figured this little guy deserved a break from all the hard work he had to do. "So, you know surfboards don't really work on lakes, right?" Sunblossom said, not thinking about why he might want to use a floatie.
