  1. BRICK Click here for Brick's App Midday found Brick wandering the streets of Trottingham, searching for a bookstore at leisurely pace. Truth be told his plan was to take a breather for a day or two, a vacation from his vacation. A grueling breakneck paced trip that has brought the builder pony to the seats of the Colosseum at Roam, the spectacular landscapes (and food) of Germaney, and even a bit of adventure on the Delamare river that involved river pirates and flaming cobbler cannons. He found out the hard way that when somepony says trust me, don't. Still the he had arrived safely enough and still had enough bits to make his way back home. Probably. A sign that announced a store called the 'Grapes and Kites' caught Bricks eye. Kites were interesting and he did like grapes, but would he trust his luck to a store that contained both? Was it wise to sell fruit and cloth toys together? Why sell fruit and kites together in the first place? Questions started to fill his mind but were swept away from a voice that came from beside him. “Hello, my name is Turn Tables, this sure is a lovely town you got here.” Brick let out a rumbly chuckle before speaking in his slightly accented voice "It's a right nice town, but 'fraid I'm all the way from Hoofington," A grin slowly made it's way across the builder pony's face. "Guess ye don't have a tour guide on the go, not quiet lost but ye not quite found? Same boat in that storm, name's Brick." Brick held up his hoof in a greeting gesture.

Cutie Mark: A brick trowel and saw crossing in the shape of an X Physique: Physically Fit and Sturdy Origin: Hoofington Roleplay Type: Fim/Show Roleplay Occupation: Construction Motivation: Brick is a builder and a craftspony through and through Likes: Building any kind of structure, exploring old architecture, friendly competition, fruit Dislikes: Breaking anything down, overly aggressive ponies, when ponies talk over his head, snow. Character Summary: He earned his cutie mark at an early age with the construction of his first clubhouse. It was a simple little two room building made of bricks with a wooden roof. Two things separated it from normal clubhouses. One, for being built by a little colt it was extremely hardy and well made. Two, it had a working drawbridge over a muddy ditch that Brick dug around his self titled 'No Cooties Fortress'. His parents were very proud of their little 'workaholic', after all the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree. Bricks parents often joked that their relationship was actually an affair and they were married to their jobs. Bricks father was a successful shipwright who was always overseeing some new project. His mother was in a similar field being the heiress of a large shipping company, she rarely spent time at home after brick was old enough to look after himself and his siblings. As busy as they were, it did not stop them from having five foals, three fillies and two colts. Brick was the first and eventually ended up taking the manticore's share of responsibility when it came to looking after his siblings. Not that he ever minded, much. Furniture for their rooms, a personal clubhouse in the shanty town that was their back yard, wooden props for a play. Brick loved to provide all of these and more for his siblings. Then his parents retired and their household became suddenly a little bit too crowded. Brick now lives alone in a small house by the docks working for himself and doing small construction projects for ponies throughout Hoofington. Brick's Construction is the name of his business and it enjoys a small loyal customer base. Brick is a polite, easy going pony who tries to get along with others. He is a bit slow however and often gets frustrated when he feels that ponies are talking over his head on purpose, this has hurt his finances more then a few times when a customer with a bone to pick comes to him with financial questions about his business practices. He'll often cave in and take less money if it means avoiding a clients suddenly aggressive behavior. For a slow pony though brick loves to read about construction projects old and new, and has a bookshelf full of related material. He dreams of traveling to different cites, maybe even distant lands, to take in their houses, businesses, and constructed wonders. His friends have been convincing him that maybe an adventure or two would do him some good and Brick is dangerously close to caving in. Here's a picture, forgive my horrible photoshop job. How can I into art?
  6. Probably old news, but the How it Should Have Ended stuff is hilarious imho.
  7. A haiku thread?! Yeeee! *Rolls around in it* Frost covered ground waits Chilling hooves that are not shod The mailmares lament
  8. I saw a Tad Williams book earlier, Otherland was one of my favorite book series and I really need to buy it again. Curse my book donation compulsion >.< Currently I'm listening (audio books count, right?) to A Clash of Kings. I have a love hate relationship with this book series. The awful things happen so much and the villains are so evil that I find it hard to take seriously. But the narrative is perfection and most of the characters have an incredible amount of Depth to them. But I'd totally be fine if it became the Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, and Arya Stark show. Ah well, one can dream
  9. Thank you all for the warm welcomes! I'll start working on a character application over the weekend. The largest hurdle is going to be figuring out what region my first character will be from. Since it's fall and winter is coming, probably some place warm
  10. Hey, since we're both new I just want to say this: Rarity is the best pony. True Story.
  11. Thank you, for the complement and the warm welcome! While I'm at it, would a haiku per Non-RP post be a bit much? They're fun, but I could just ax that idea and just create a signature and change it every so often. [Mandatory Haiku] Time can't be wasted Neither can it be gathered It can only be.
  12. About myself.: My hobbies include vidya games, Pen and Paper roleplaying, writing haiku, day dreaming, reading, and fighting in underground gladiatorial matches against werehamsters. True Story. I hale from America. How did you hear about Canterlot.com?: I heard it mentioned a couple of times on Bronyville. How did you became a fan of FiM?: I heard it from one of the chans. Please don't judge me to harshly for that ;p My one favourite main cast pony?: Miss Rarity Fun fact, Data Entry will kill your creativity faster than any other occupation. True story. You can hammer in names and numbers all day long and by dusk struggle to type out a description of an apple. Even though I'm not that old I worry about my imagination turning to stagnant sludge, leaving me unable to churn out even a simple Haiku (the lowest form of poetry *Grin* ). Normally, my weekend DnD group would help me keep my brain active but jobs kids, and life have pretty much put an understandable halt to this. At work, Audio books and Bronyville help stave off insanity, the later steered my train of thought onto a peculiar track. 1.)It has been ages since I have taken part in any sort of online role play and it is an activity I sorely miss. 2.)My Engerish skillz are suffering. 3.)Scant few of my real life friends enjoy pony. I could kill all of these birds with one stone. In short (too late) This place looks like it's a pretty fun and friendly place, so I am signing up! *edit* ^The second o in too, my nemesis. So, I've read the rules, but advice is always appreciated :3 [Mandatory Haiku] Hooves create dust storms Dancing over barren land Waltz of the nomad

I guess this is where I can post pictures of my characters and what not. Probably not going to be used much because I am not good at anything art related.
