  1. That is one very cunning hat.
  2. The only correct answer is ALWAYS pie. .........*nom nom nom nom*
  3. You know, they've really done a good job with the family relationships in the show. There's such a varied mix of lifestyles: Pinkie living with the Cakes; Applejack living with her brother and grandmother; Rarity off on her own and running a business; Twilight away from her parents to study. The result is much more real, I think, than a lot of shows marketed to the same demographic, where all the characters are female and each lives alone in a separate house. (I'm thinking specifically of Strawberry Shortcake in this case, but the same basic gimmick applied to Rainbow Bright in the '80s.)
  4. Six sparkling inches of snow on the ground...and I am at work. I don't always like being an adult. :P

  5. Hee, if the question were Who Has Best Tail, my vote would be 100% Applejack for just that reason.
  6. I have to admit that I'm most fond of Fluttershy's mane (as you can probably guess by my avatar picture). It's really because I always wanted long, thick hair and never had anything but fine hair that looks awful when it gets past shoulder-length. Such a tragedy.
  7. It was only one active mod who disliked the term, and from what I understand (which is not all that much), it was mostly a case of poor judgement. What really should have been a rant posted to a personal journal was posted to the community. That particular mod didn't like the term, and the post turned into a community-wide argument rather than an airing of a pet peeve. The whole kerfluffle kind of blindsided everyone. I think the original post was eventually deleted.
  8. The equestriamlp community on livejournal recently had a bit of a meltdown over the term "brony," and quite a few active members left the community as a result. The whole debacle was instigated by a post--by one of the mods, unfortunately--ranting about the term and demanding that no one use it in the subject line of posts. The whole thing spiralled out of control and eventually ended up on sf_drama. I admit that I can't quite understand the need for a fandom name. I've never been involved in a fandom that had a name, honestly--I've been an HP fan and now I'm primarily a Transformers fan, and there was no specific terminology for either one. *shrug*
  9. Ahaha, I was talking about Gladwin, but Holly's are quite lovely as well. Apparently I'm just partial to feathers
  10. Who could resist those big, blue eyes.
  11. Welcome! I love the design of your OC - just adorable.
  12. "Making Christmas...." ♫

  13. Sadly, I'm just a very-predictable girl who always wanted to be a unicorn (and still does). I'm also fairly bookish and studious in real life, so I suppose it's the best match.
  14. Hmm. Well. *centers self* *takes a deep breath* *tries to grow a pair of wings* ..... .................. ...um. No good.
  15. Ahahaha can I come? I haven't played ski-ball (that is probably not even how to spell it) in years.
  16. Just look for me under the pile of paperwork. ....Paperless society, my backside. :P

  17. This should definitely be interesting, at the very least! ....Or maybe I mean frightening. This makes me casually curious why an added alicorn would also be female--you would think they'd want to even things out a bit. I was surprised, originally, that Prince Blueblood was not designed as an alicorn, since he's Celestia's nephew. ...They'll probably never actually explain anything. We'll just stumble along like usual.
  18. There was! I remember watching it on the Disney channel. I also remember that they split up a lot of the standalone movies (the Wonderland one and the Nutcracker one, at least) into separate episodes for the series. I still sort of like that Nutcracker one...I wonder if I could find it somewhere. 'Tis the season, after all. :3
  19. Happy Birthday! Welcome to the world of legal adulthood. ^(o o)^ YAY!
  20. Wow, this is fantastic! Congratulations! Nothing like a little acknowledgment from professionals in the industry to turn life from regular to FABULOUS. Hopefully this means great things to come.
  21. I like to think that there are all sorts of dragons around Equestria--winged, not-winged, finned and fire-breathing and serpentine and... Well, you get the idea. When I first saw "Feeling Pinkie Keen," I wondered if the hydra actually counted as another sort of dragon. Same with the sea serpent in the pilot. I'm not quite sure, and I doubt that will ever be explored in the series, but I can still dream.
  22. So much G1 Ember-love! And what a great character concept. Yeeeeee.
  23. I will take some of that hate, because I have to agree with you. I really liked Dragonshy, because I felt like I was seeing more to her character than just "Sweet, Shy, Likes Critters," but the more I see of her, the more I'm afraid that's all there is to see. I may still be surprised--I haven't watched a lot of the middle episodes yet, though I've seen all the Season 2 episodes since Lesson Zero. (Our cable plan doesn't actually include the Hub, so while I watched the very first episodes back when they aired, I kind of drifted away from the show until we had a free preview in November.) I'd been watching all the episodes in order to catch up, but I watched half of The Stare Master and kind of...wandered away. Part of that is the CMC, who kind of exhaust me, but a bigger part of my disinterest was having to suffer through them riding roughshod (ha, that idiom has never been more appropriate) over Fluttershy, and knowing that she would have to use her "staaaare" or whatever to get the upper hoof again. I should just get over it and watch that one and Show Stoppers already. I want to get to the Gala.
  24. Aww, I really like this! But then, I really like Will's design overall. His colors are great--especially his eyes--and I love his hooves.
