    Hearthswarming eve was named as such because there was that cold neverending winter caused by the wendigoes as depicted in the play of the same episode; and the name was in honor of the ponies triumph over the cold. Hearts and hooves was named as such because there is no St. Valentines in pony history.

    Especially during the Canterlot parties - it's like they're noponies from small town Equestria, rather than ponies who saved Equestria (twice). And how nothing is even mentioned in passing about their exploits.

    How the Mare 6 are never recognized as national heroes outside the first 2 episodes of each season. It's like the events in those episodes never happened. Also, everything Pinkie Pie does.

    I also suspect that before Celestia and Luna took control of the Sun and Moon, the ponies probably had a class-based society with unicorns as the ruler mages, pegasi as the military and Earth ponies as the farmer peasants. Probably led to some dissatisfaction, fights, rebellions etc. - fanfic fuel Also, long live the New Lunar Republic!

    Princess Mononoke is a classic Out of his many films, I've only watched Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle and Porco Rosso. Really should give the others a try sometime.
