Its very rare that my own art makes me laugh. For those curious about my current avatar, I present to you in all his glory, Butter Pony! Aint he a handsome stallion? xD And yes, his cutie mark is indeed a stick of butter. And why does this pony exist? Well, once upon a time me and my boyfriend were watching a Paula Deen cooking show. Now if you're familiar with Paula Deen, Im sure you're aware of her love of putting pounds of butter into her recipes. My boyfriend randomly came up with this concept of a pony who's talent was butter, and copious amounts of hilarity ensured. One day I decided to draw this little guy, and here's an end result of him. He wasnt originally an alicorn, but I decided that it would be funnier if he was. I mean come on, you have alicorns that control the sun, moon, the seasons, the planets, so why not an alicorn who has power over a completely random object? So here's Butter Pony who's talent is butter and butter accessories! Embrace it.

I dont know what she is doing with her magic for starters. xD For the first time ever, I drew Rarity! Aint she lovely? I dare you to say different! ;D

Do you mind if I ask you some not-so-personal questions for my "Gabby's Gabbling Ponies" column? Of course you dont mind! I know my readers will certainly LOVE to hear all sorts of particularly juicy tales about you or even anything you know about your friends! Now dont be shy with your answers and oh, dont mind the quill!" A concept idea I had for if there was an actual Gabby Gums. Im still trying to figure out her cutie mark, since Im not sure what a cutie mark about gossiping would look like. xD Hence why I made it a headshot instead of a full body.

My own interpretation of an aquatic pony. I call it "Neptune." I wanted to go a bit beyond some of the usual sea ponies Ive seen, that just have half pony body and half fish tail. So I got imaginative with it, and came up with Neptune. I liked the fact that it still has all 4 legs, just in case Neptune wanted to get out on land for awhile, but still kept fishy attributes. The fish tail extension on the head is a shout out to one of my favorite video game series, so if you get the reference, a winner is you! And just to be on the safe side, I give them credit for the inspiration needed for Neptune's head. I originally was going to have more fins placed along the legs and backside, but couldnt quite position them correctly and be satisfied with it. Plus, I was really really excited to colour it and didnt feel like waiting. I have another inked piece that has a few more fins attached that I'll be colouring in later. All in all, Im extremely happy with how this came out and eagerly await to see if more people think so too. ^^

Not much to say here. Just an alicorn commission I was asked to draw. My only complaint is that I drew the tail too low, which I failed to notice until I started colouring. xD

My first shot at making armor! Obviously influenced from the royal Canterlot guard armor, but a bit simpler and with what I hope a dash of originality. I had alot of fun doing this, and Im definitely planning on re-visiting this concept again. Im somewhat satisfied with the armor's shine. I didnt want the colour to be flat and dull and wanted pretty pretty shiny shiny armor. This was really my first time doing anything with shine and shadow, but I think I did an okay job. I'll be working more with that later. The only thing that bothers me with this piece is the hair and tail, since it just looks so dull and boring. Laziness and me getting infuriated with Photoshop got in the way. xD

An alicorn in flight! No I dont know who this alicorn is, nor is she the long lost sister of Luna and Celestia, just something I had put together out of sheer boredom. And dont worry, if I ever decide to rp on here, she will not be a character, unless I remove either her horn or wings or both. xD This is quickly becoming one of my favorite pieces since I LOOOVE how I drew her in flight. The back left leg gave me some trouble, and I was too lazy to get up from my seat to look up references. But I think it came out alright. ^^ Now if only I wasnt so lazy to draw backgrounds...

Me and my significant other as our pony personas. I always enjoyed the thought of being up in the sky and being able to stand on clouds just sounds like an awesome idea to me. Expect more of my pegasus self in future artwork. And why yes, her unicorn companion is using magic to stay on the cloud and hes obviously enjoying himself. Im currently experimenting with creating glow effects for unicorn magic and I feel that this didnt come out too bad. However, I did find a tutorial on how to make the glow effect look exactly as it is in the show which I plan on accomplishing. I made it about halfway before getting stuck, but I have a slight idea as to where I went wrong and all I need to do is work more with layer masking. Until then, Im playing around with making my own magic glows. Thoughts?

This is slightly based off my boyfriend if he was a unicorn colt. The cutie mark was a last minute thing and it sucks I know! My main focus was creating a glowing effect for uber powerful unicorn magic. For the first time around, I think its pretty nice. Im particularly fond of how the glow wrapped around the horn. Looks simple, but effective I think. Im planning on re-doing this, same concept but better looking cutie mark and different pose.
