    A windy storm
    I conceptualized this drawing today, and I HAD to finish it today as well, so I went for an experimental style of perspective as well as checking out some of the other brushes and how I could use them (see the clouds?). The mighty Pen tool was off-limits so there's no vector perfect stuff here. I'm convinced my bamboo tablet is utterly useless, as none of its side functions work (such as the pressure sensitive pad). I think I should try this experimental style more often, since it at least helps me find and understand more from Photoshop than my usual pen-only vector style does. As for the drawing, there's a few things I screwed up (AJ's right foreleg is a little too far ahead.), but I think it's okay and usable for the next MlB. (Also, AJ needs more solo love.)

    I connected to Fluttershy a lot here, since I was teased in my childhood often as well. Humour was sprinkled appropriately around, and there was a lot of touching scenes as well. I think the one thing missing might have been a song, but the training montage might have been more appropriate anyway. Also, I'm glad steroid pony was no more than a side-gag (YEAH!). EDIT: Oh, also, I wasn't listening that carefully, but I've read that Spitfire got a voice change apparently.

    Yeah, this page was created because I realized I forgot to put AJ's hat on Pinkie in a few of the later panels. But Pinkie knew that, so she ate the hat to make up for my mistake. And that's how this comic was made. ...also, I was kinda stuck on this page for a while, since I had to draw 15 different looks of disgust/fear for the rest of the mane six. Drawing multiple faces with the same expression (but in a different way) is one of my weaker points, so it took a while to finish this page - much longer than it should have. Sorry.

    Pinkie steps up to the challenge. I'm getting kinda tired of drawing Twilight in that bipedal pose, to be honest. It's a little too human-like, which isn't necessary for this scene.

    Pinkie's turn! Or is it? Rarity's supposed to be between Twilight and RD, but the trio would be in a tight spot, and make the scene a little confusing, so I took her out for this part.

    This episode could have answered so many questions, but it kinda left me hanging. Glad to see phoenixes are still around. Also, is that newborn one going to be Spike's pet now? Rather bizarre. I think my main disappointment is that dragons are once again portrayed as jerks to everyone but themselves (and even then...). I guess I can deal with it if that's how they are supposed to be, though.

    Another clip for tomorrow's episode. A good amount of variety in the dragon designs here. They all have wings - perhaps it will become a plot point that Spike lacks such things.

    Updated synopsis...kinda. It's actually pretty much the same thing but re-worded. The only thing added is that they're doing it for school apparently. " In order to become the gossip columnist for their school paper, the Cutie Mark Crusaders adopt the name ‘Gabby Gums,’ but when they land the job, their happiness is cut short by the pain they cause to other ponies with their hurtful stories. "

    There's tons of other preview pictures (including a preview clip for Dragon Quest) up on EqD, many of which could belong to the other upcoming episodes. But this is all I need to get hyped for this episode. Return of the griffons!

    A preview clip has recently surfaced...but you must solve 3 puzzles to take a peek at it. At least until someone gets on youtube. The puzzles are very simple stuff. Also, the clip is unusually long (1:30!) EDIT: Already up on youtube.

    The reason AJ lost her freckles so often was because her running template didn't come with them. Compared to Season 1, Season 2's missing freckles count hasn't even reached over 5 yet, so they definitely fixed this now.

    Here's my simple and humble image for the February Drawfriends. I guess Rainbow invited AJ to one of her lazy naps, and they ended up closer than expected. Actually, this wasn't meant to be as romantic as it appears. Although it was definitely meant to be as cute. I thought to add detail to the trees, but I'm no good at it on digital, so I skipped out on them. Same thing with shadows. Largely inspired by this image!
