EqD got a few more images from someone who released the Equestria Official Map. These aren't necessarily canon or official, but it's likely. Seems to be previews of what may happen during the premiere. Oh and has a necklace now, apparently. "Alicorn Amulet" is the name of it.

Photo Finish joins the club. Will most likely get paired with Hoity. Now, one can only wonder if Sapphire Shores will complete the set... Also, have an Apple Bloom and a Diamond Tiara.

I was going to post this in the Season 3 info thread, but the stuff here concerns ideas that never came to be and background stuff. Bare in mind that this is a security guard's retelling from unrecorded events, so this stuff isn't necessarily 100% true. Info -Canterlot was to be "Gondor" (Lord of the Rings) for little girls. -Celestia and Luna's parents exist in Lauren's mind. -Twilight is inspired by her mother(Lauren's). -Fluttershy is inspired Lauren's childhood. -RD is Firefly. -Pinkie Pie was not intended to be a "comedy" character, but rather a "free-spirited" character. -Scootaloo was going to get several episodes, including one where it would shed light on her being handicapped. It's quite sad. She never intented for Scoots to fly: some of her episodes would have been about finding out her other strengths. -Derpy Hooves is not Ditzy Doo. -An episode she wanted involved deers, a pony raised by them, Whitetail Woods and AJ and RD arguing over whether to tell him the truth or not, *cough*fanficswillcoverthis*cough* There's a little more in the video, something about Changelings I think.

So this official map has been recently revealed by Pixelkitties, demonstrating the geography and landmarks of Equestria. So many unvisited places! BrianblackBerry must be weeping right now... Note the "Not to scale" on the bottom left, and the lack of "that place" that's introduced in Season 3. I guess if it ever gets updated, it might be expanded even further.

Quite frankly... Look at the date I started this topic. June 1, 2011. 20. 11. And they only have FOUR characters ready. I mean, COME ON, this is atrocious dev time speed, even for a free game. What, will they have all 17 characters done by 2020? I think the main issue is the engine they're using: 2D Fighter Maker 2002 (MF2K). I get that they chose this engine because of "developer experience", but based on my own experience it is a horrible engine to make a custom fighter out of, especially one that uses sprites built from the ground up. The conversion of every frame is overly complicated - they said this themselves. And it uses the most basic and overused fighting game style of all fighters, meaning creativity in concept is horribly limited. This whole process of developing the game "professionally" has massively hampered its development, and overhyped it well beyond it's POTENTIAL. And by "professionally", I'm talking about how they did not give the game a demo release that updates up to the final. They could have done this SINCE LAST YEAR (Applejack was already playable). But no, instead, they claim "professional development", and keep it from us for an entire year and more. *sigh* Look, I get what they wanted to do - make a great first impression. But with Season 3 on our doorstep, this project has stayed in development far longer than it had any right to, fact of the matter is, they screwed up before the game even released. If it ever does, that is. Anyway, I apologize for the massive rant, but I lost excitement for this game a long time ago, and it's all because of some guys who can't get over their egos and fix their mistakes. The team has stated that in response they are no longer doing Q&A's and the development cycle is now closed (i.e only they get to test their game, as opposed to inviting some people to test it for them. Moreover, it also means no more updates until it's finalized). Apparently, the leaked build lacks 2 characters - I'm guessing it's Rainbow and Fluttershy. Anyway, Mane6 states that they are disappointed, but still plan on finishing the game.

He's done animations before, including a near-perfect replication of a Hearts and Hooves scene, so I'd say he's got most assets done already.Considering he says he completed this animation in 24 days (over a period of 3 months), I'd say he just had to create only a few assets. If he really built this entire thing from scratch in less than a month then he must have had a lot of coffee. Anyway, easily the best fanimation so far, with an underused choice of characters to boot.

Pretty challenging game - all of Chrysalis' attacks are accurate to a degree. 1st attack - Homing shots - Keep moving up and down to avoid this. The shots alternate at a different pace every time and their homing power varies depending on your position and where the shot started, so it can take quite a bit of practice to dodge this move consistently. 2nd attack - Grenade sparks - Probably the trickiest attack. Dodge the lob arcs of every one of them, but bear in mind that some of them get shot REEEEALLLY high off screen, and come down to hit you much later than you'd expect. 3rd attack - Emanating shots - Just move between the lines of fire, which is only a little more difficult to do when Chrysalis is moving. 4th attack - Emanating shot Orb - Same as above, except the shots come from a secondary orb. Worse yet, she shoots out about 3, so there is a lot to avoid here. That being said, I think she only uses this attack once. Sadly, the ending fails to deliver, it's just a "play again?" type of ending. Basically no different from the Game Over, in fact.

Short season = less episodes = less chance of an episode that plays from her perspective = more chance of Hawke being Dessappointed.

What disappoints me most about official plushies is that the makers can't seem to get the manes right - or at all, in Cadence's case. I would also prefer if the proportions were correct. I could deal with the cheapness if they still looked cute, but...well, they don't.

Can you make it past the books? Well... There's an unsettling and nightmare-ish ending if you make it to the end of the third room... Hint: Alternate WO and QP and you should slooooooooowly make your way across the rooms. Good luck with the stairs though - you literally have to hope for the best luck on that segment. Jamming OP seems to help when you're on them.

Pretty sure Flutterscotch was talking about Bonnie.Also, if you think about it, this series has been going on for almost 3 decades, and it's considerably improved since 2010, so even a show that was considered for the longest of time to be a cheap merchandise-selling ad can be given an amazing breath of life and quality. That being said, right now I think they should probably give it a break after the fifth season, and revive it when the G5 toy line comes out (Or if G4 toys are still going, just use a new cast, though preferably in a different timeframe). EDIT: I've edited my statement based on your comment below me Flutterscotch. I never meant to imply that the generations were specifically tied to the show, or that G2 even had a show tie-in, but I can see how you thought I did.

Brown parasprites are slow and die in 1 hit. Green parasprites take 2 hits. Yellow parasprites take 2 hits but are faster and avoid shots a bit better. Red parasprites take 4 hits and are even faster. You can fire as fast as you click, but if you hold down the button, you'll fire at top speed while your blue bar quickly drains. Simple and pretty forgiving game, you can take quite a lot of punishment, and you auto-restore both bars.

Spa ponies might be getting their own molds soon. It's hard to say if this is confirmed or not though. Still, if true, then things are really looking up for the merchandise side of the series.

The series has been through worse *COUGHG3.5COUGH*, so I doubt it's the end of the show. But I don't see why we need to make excuses over the fact it's half a season - a lot of people keep saying the episodes are twice as long, or that they're going to announce another 13 episodes later, etc...when there is absolutely no indication of this whatsoever. More episodes is not necessarily better. I'd say more, but I'd merely be making suppositions and guesses, so that's all I have to say for now.

It was pretty obvious that it was going to be 13 episodes. I don't know where these rumours of a "second team" working on the second half of the season came from. Anyway added the information on the front page. For good measure, here's the link to the writer's panel where it was confirmed by the head writer.

Fluttershy FINALLY gets her own mold, although it looks like this specific set needs some coloring (And apparently lacks the proper colors...). There's going to be a mold for everypony apparently.

EqD posted some information regarding the Crystal empire toy line. Apparently, Shining Armor and Cadance lead said empire. Somehow. We'll probably have an entire episode dedicated to explaining this.
