    Everything was beginning to escalate, much to corrupted Marble's pleasure. The rest of the Shadowbolts were charging in, and Wonderbolts were fighting back. [colour=#ff0000]"I attacked them BEFORE it was cool." [/colour]He joked to himself, as he charged straight to Spitfire, laughing as he knocked over some random guards. Lightning Dust was charging as well, and Marble didn't want to lose. He got to Spitfire, and decided to play it out. [colour=#ff0000]"Ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?" [/colour]He referenced, as he began charging his corrupting spell, while the real Marble was screaming for her to run, and uselessly fighting off the powerful corruption.

    The real Marble was screaming to be let out, but was continually silenced by the corruption. He hardly listened to it, and it only became an annoyance on it. Lightning Dust seemed ready to play, so Marble smirked as he thought of a game. [colour=#ff0000]"Okay, simple game. The first to corrupt Spitfire herself wins. The winner gets bragging rights, and the loser gets humiliated in a way decided by the winner." [/colour]Without waiting for her to respond, and without any warning, Marble flew off down to the academy, flying fast to find Spitfire, and overconfidently believing that he wouldn't get caught.

    Marble, Lightning and Flash spent most of their time corrupting other cadets. Corrupted Marble made a fun game out of it, holding them down and hearing them beg for mercy before he even cast the spell on them. It made him laugh each time, while the real Marble was attempting to fight back, but was doing poorly. Eventually, they were called back by Thunder Swift. Marble was disappointed, but listened to his order. Flash told Thunder about some unicorn who was blocking them from getting the gem. Marble starting getting ticked off. [colour=#ff0000]"Annoying ponies, ruining all the fun." [/colour]He muttered, as Thunder started yelling at Flash. Marble was grinning as the two began to fight, and laughed when he threw Flash off the side to freefall. The inner Marble almost took over for a moment. [colour=#ff0000]"You behave now." [/colour]Marble said to himself. [colour=#ff0000]"We wouldn't want your annoying fillyfriend getting hurt now." [/colour]The real Marble calmed down after that. He walked over to Lightning, and saw a tear in her eye. He couldn't miss the opportunity. [colour=#ff0000]"Don't worry about him." [/colour]Marble told her, feigning empathy. [colour=#ff0000]"He's a strong pegasus, he can take care of himself. Now, what do you say to having some fun?"[/colour]

    Bomb explained how Knight got out of the water. Feeling an obligation, Knight decided he needed to say something. [colour=#b22222]"I-I don't really say this often but... Thanks." [/colour]He told Bomb genuinely, before returning to his normal energetic self. They helped a colt up to knock on the fillies window. Knight wasn't looking forward to them joining their group, but remained silent. For once. The fillies came down, and the first pony Knight noticed was Violet. Feeling that no other filly would care, Knight knew who he'd tell first. [colour=#b22222]"Hey Violet, look!" [/colour]He whisper-yelled, flashing his flank in the darkness. [colour=#b22222]"I just got the awesomest cutie mark ever!"[/colour]

    Somepony fell on Knight, knocking the breath out of him. After the pony got off, Knight stood up shakily, and brushed the dirt out of his coat. He looked back at the pony, and was happy to see that it was Slick. Slick noticed Knight's new cutie mark, and was very happy for it! [colour=#b22222]"Yeah, I know! It's so awesome! I'm not actually sure when I got it. Last time I checked was when I first dived. Then I drowned and... Well, I must have gotten in somewhere between saving Bomb and the rest of the day." [/colour]Knight shrugged it off, not really caring how he got it. [colour=#b22222]"Speaking of which, how did I drown? I know I was under water for a while, but how did I get out? Can you swim when you're unconscious?"[/colour]

    Knight giggled silently when Six started getting angry with Knight. He stomped off, followed shortly by Compass. Knight trotted over to them, just hearing the end of their apologies. Another mare then asked if she could join the group. Even though he knew he wasn't the leader, he jumped ahead of Six. [colour=#b22222]"There is always room for a beautiful mare in my life." [/colour]He said, giving her hoof a kiss as well. [colour=#b22222]"I am Knight."[/colour]

    Lightning Dust and Marble kissed for a while. It was only interrupted by an odd feeling on the back of his head. He ignored it at first, until it went painful. He flinched from it, his eyes open and looking at the ugly red eyes that were suppose to be his fillyfriends. He tried to escape the kiss, but she kept him in place, and Marble was not brave enough to hurt her. An odd feeling of forgetfulness went over him, as his world began disappearing. Why couldn't he remember his brothers name? Wait... He has a brother? Does he even have a family? The basics of his life were disappearing, as he fell into a seemingly dark pit. Marble has been corrupted. His eyes turned from a soft, chocolate brown to the harsh red of the Shadowbolts. He let off the kiss and looked at Lightning Dust, with a mischievous grin. [colour=#ff0000]"It's nice to see my host has good taste in mares." [/colour]He said, with an abnormally evil-sounding voice.

    Lightning Dust was forgiving Marble, trying to convince him that it wasn't his fault. He didn't believe it for a moment, but he loved the moment that they were embracing each other, helping each other out like the old times. They leaned back and looked at each other. Lightning's eyes were just as he remembered them. Beautiful yet fiery, and at the moment, full of sadness and forgiveness. But then, they changed. They turned red, and full of hate and evil, making Marble step back for a moment. They were no longer beautiful, but almost evil. He tried to think nothing of it. It was still the mare he loved, after all. [colour=#ff0000]"I love you too!" [/colour]He announced, as he closed his eyes and kissed her again, not paying attention to her eyes.

    The mare basically explained Knight's story of why he was there, talking about a poster and a meeting place. She was about to walk off before Six stopped her and explained that he was the one she was looking for. She seemed rather confused, asking why they weren't at the meeting place. Knight got a bit out of his gentleman character for a moment. [colour=#b22222]"He wants to meet some chick who's lookin' to join our gang." [/colour]He realized his mistake, and quickly returned. [colour=#b22222]"But clearly, she doesn't matter now that we're in the presence of a mare rivaling the princess herself in beauty." [/colour]He hit on her again.

    Somepony walked in the room. Marble didn't care. He continued crying into his own hoof, hoping that the pony would just trot away without noticing him. No such luck. He heard the pony walking closer to him. He (or she) stopped in front of him, and just stood there. No talking, no hugging, nothing. Marble looked up at the pony and gasped in surprise. It was Lightning Dust! He wasted no time in giving her a sudden hug and crying into her coat, not noticing her red eyes. [colour=#ff0000]"You're back... I'm so glad your back..." [/colour]He sobbed more, muttering surprised words and apologizing for not defending her better.

    Marble was getting impatient. The cadet wasn't giving information, and Rainbow Dash seemed to just want to examine the gem. Marble grunted in frustration. [colour=#ff0000]"Do whatever you want. Just make sure it hurts them. I'm going for now." [/colour]He stepped out of the room, and wandered the hallways until he found himself at the entrance hall again. He sat down on one of the benches, and looked out the windows at the thinning fog. Images flashed through his mind. Mostly Lightning Dust getting her memory wiped, and seeing her cry. Some images of him attacking the Shadowbolts, and others seeing her with red eyes in their outfit. It wasn't a pretty sight, and made Marble begin crying again. He silently sobbed in the entrance hall, hiding his behind his hoof in shame.

    Six seemed to notice Knight's intentions, and gave a ghost of a warning against it. Knight, obviously, didn't pay attention to that as he prepared for what to say to this 'Delilah'. Before they reached Ponyville, they ended up running into somepony else. Another mare, who was apparently lost, looking for somepony. Knight took the opportunity. [colour=#b22222]"Hello, madame." [/colour]He said politely, slipping into a convincing Canterlot accent. [colour=#b22222]"I am Knight. You say you're lost, but that seems incorrect, for you have found your place in my heart." [/colour]He kissed her hoof in greeting as he remained in gentleman mode.

    Six told Knight the story of meeting Miles. Knight thought it was really cute, and continually rubbed Miles' belly while listening. He then announced that they would be going to town. Knight perked his ear up at a certain word. [colour=#b22222]"Mare? Did you say... Mare?" [/colour]He asked, as he stood up. [colour=#b22222]"I suppose if you insist, we must go to town then." [/colour]He said sarcastically, shrugging his hooves.

    Everypony was beginning to leave. Although Knight had no reason to leave now, he still felt like it. After Bomb fell out of the window, Knight quickly followed, falling and hitting his knee. It didn't hurt though, and he just stood up and brushed it off. [colour=#b22222]"I need to be quiet, right?" [/colour]He asked Bomb, slightly loudly.

    Six explained a bit about Extrequs. Knight didn't quite get how an entire island could suddenly disappear, but shrugged it off as magic. Knight began nuzzling the dog again as he started snuggling about again Knight. Six told him that his name was Miles. [colour=#b22222]"D'aaaw, he's so cute!" [/colour]He said, as he knocked Miles over and started rubbing his belly. [colour=#b22222]"Dogs are the best!" [/colour]He had a quick idea. [colour=#b22222]"Hey, wanna' play fetch?" [/colour]Knight levitated out the wooden sword strapped to his back. After a moment of dangling it in front of Miles, he threw it, and Miles chased after it, then returned it. [colour=#b22222]"Fast little guy." [/colour]Knight noted, sheathing his sword again. [colour=#b22222]"So, are we leaving now or waiting for some others, or what?"[/colour]

    Knight began calming down slightly. He stopped bouncing about and yelling, though was now shaking on his hooves to resist the urge to dance. Pedals yelled at them to calm down, and Knight immediately jumped under his blanket, prepared for him to enter the room and be busted. He didn't though. Knight saw everypony else pretending to sleep. The lights were off again, and Knight lay on his bed, with an energetic grin as he rolled around quietly on his bed.

    Spitfire began her interrogation. It wasn't exactly going too well, considering Spitfire didn't elaborate on 'dire consequences'. Marble always found that to work. The cadet threatened to leave the body and let her die. [colour=#ff0000]"Do it." [/colour]He said to her, his voice deep and angry, no longer caring about his innate shyness. [colour=#ff0000]"In fact, I insist. Go ahead and die, you useless [/colour](Go ahead and put your own creative insult here, while I avoid getting banned)[colour=#ff0000]" [/colour]He was, of course, completely serious, and wanted nothing more than to watch as the life of the one hurting his fillyfriend drain away. Hopefully slowly.

    Marble nearly hit the cadet behind him. In fact, he may have beaten her, possibly to death, if Shadow hadn't found him and calmed him down again. Shadow had a much calmer way of capturing her as well. They walked back to the cage. Marble thought that the cadet deserved more than just to be locked up in the cage, but he remained quiet. He didn't want to say anything. Or to talk. He wanted blood. His stupid mind continually played back memories of their time together. When they met, their first kiss, when they asked each other out, the sunset earlier when he asked her to marry him. The worst part was, his brain refused to let him not see the image of her screaming in agony as he could only watch. He let Shadow explain everything to Spitfire, and simply glared daggers through the cadet, which was still intimidating despite his silent sobbing and the tears. He wished that phrase was literal.

    Marble was rather flustered at the random cadets compliment. He quickly returned to being angry as she made a passive comment about not seeing her. She flew towards him, but he dodged out of the way in time. They all left them. Marble gave chase. They seemed to transform into a mist. Marble gave chase as quick as he could after it, but he ended up ramming into a barrier. He could see all of the corrupted ponies just beyond it with Lightning Dust. He began uselessly banging on the barrier, threatening the corrupted cadets as they teased him. Then they said something about wiping her memory. Marble stopped for a moment, and his attitude changed. [colour=#ff0000]"No! Please! Stop! I'll do anything! LIGHTNING!" [/colour]He screamed, continually banging on the barrier. he held back no tears as he saw her crying, and said she loved him. [colour=#ff0000]"I... I love you too..." [/colour]He whispered before she began screaming. He then continued banging angrily, wanting nothing more than to rip the cadets heads off. They then vanished, leaving Marble there. They were long gone when the barrier disappeared, and he floated there, crying.

    Now it was even MORE personal. For some odd reason, before they escaped, Flash and the other cadets had attacked Shadow and kidnapped Lightning! They were fast. VERY fast. So fast, even as Marble chased at top speed, he couldn't keep up enough to find them. He was able to hear Lightning screams, but it was tough to make out the area. He flew everywhere trying to find her, not caring any time he ran into anything. Eventually, he found them attempting to escape. He attempted to catch them again, but they were still in-equinely fast. [colour=#ff0000]"GET BACK HERE YOU PLOTHOLES!" [/colour]He yelled as he flew towards them.

    Shadow seemed to be trying to distract Marble, talking about how he should be checking on Lightning and making sure she was alright. Even though Marble was still very angry, the distraction worked. Marble turned, and lay next to Lightning, his anger turning to sadness as he saw the tear in her eye. [colour=#ff0000]"A-are you okay?" [/colour]He asked her as a tear came out of his eye as well. [colour=#ff0000]"I'm sorry... I should have defended you better..." [/colour]He didn't notice Flash and the others sneaking out as he closed his eyes and hugged Lightning Dust.

    Bomb flipped the lights on. The sudden turn blinded Knight for a few moment. He wiped tears forming from his eyes from the sudden burst of light, and ignored Bomb's impatience. He slowly opened his eyes to look at his flank. After his vision cleared up, he saw the most amazing sight ever. [colour=#b22222]"OHDEARCELESTIAIGOTMYCUTIEMARK!!!" [/colour]He yelled all in nearly a second. On his flank, were two swords crossed in an X shape, one wooden and the other metal. [colour=#b22222]"IT'S SO AWESOME!!!" [/colour]Knight no longer cared about having nearly died. After all, he got his cutie mark! He also didn't get it, but still found it so awesome!

    The bus driver entered the cabin for the checkup. After he left, Bomb told them to act like they were sleeping so they could sneak out. With a sigh, Knight trotted back to his bed. He felt something rather cold around his flank. Looking back, he realized he hadn't taken off his swim trunks yet! And they were still soaking from nearly drowning earlier! He slipped them off, and quickly wiped away at a stain on his flank. [colour=#b22222]Wait a moment... [/colour]Knight continued wiping it, but it wouldn't go away. [colour=#b22222]"Somepony turn a light on!" [/colour]He yelled with a hopeful voice, as he squinted his eyes, trying to see if he could make out the odd looking symbol on his flank. It was tough in the darkness though.

    Now it was getting personal. Spitfire fought back, as Marble had expected. What he didn't anticipate was Lightning joining the fight. It didn't end well. Spitfire bucked Lightning in the stomache, and her sob made him explode with anger for a second time. He charged at her, but before he tackled her, Shadow intervened and tried to calm them all down. It wasn't really working. [colour=#ff0000]"Are you blind?! She kidnapped Flash and just attacked my fiance!" [/colour]He glared at her, and began punching the ground in frustration, trying to control himself but clearly failing. [colour=#ff0000]"GET FLASH OUT OF THERE AND APOLOGIZE TO LIGHTNING DUST NOW!" [/colour]He screamed at her like an angry parent.
