  1. ((OOC: I'm waiting for Inuchan before I post, but you can either make your way over to the lemonade stand or wait a bit, because Lovestone really needs to go shopping. I can have her bump into you. ))
  2. I'm confused on the hex/powerup thing. I thought only the one who won the voting for each round got it, not everyone who got any votes. Sorry, I'll do it tomorrow! Gotta save the fandom's OTP!
  3. Marshie took the cookie back and took a bite, nodding at Cloud. "Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, that's why I came over. Sure are a lot of pegasi here, huh? I mean, Ponyville was founded by earth ponies, but it seems there are less of us every day. My sister tried to explain why and said a lot about politics and selective breeding but I wasn't really listening. She's kind of an activist, you know, goes to Canterlot about once a month to protest." She saw the pegasus from the crowd approach her with her soft question, smiled, and gave her one. A small filly was walking towards the group, and the light brown stallion was staring at her as he ate his cookie. She was starting to feel a little crowded, plus she was running out of cookies. "Hey! You know what guys? Some of us should go down to Cafe Bon!" she squealed, clapping Draco on the shoulder, oblivious to his attempts to sneak away. "This is kind of a boring old tree anyway and I bet Bon Bon would love to have some business. What do you say?"
  4. My pony can... ...disagree that the original was grammatically incorrect. That's more of a stylistic change. She can also argue for hours about grammar minutiae, and spell words like "minutiae" correctly on the first try.
  5. Marshie giggled at Sour Lemonade's excitement. "They're the best, aren't they? I used to just buy these little chocolate-covered graham crackers, but the pony that owns the place thought I'd like these since they have marshmallow in them. My sister says I must be trying to keep my hooves on the ground, and it's not working." Marshie looked up to where Draco was pointing and caught a glimpse of the pegasus. "Hello!" she called out. "Come on down if you want to try some!" She turned back to Draco. "You look tired. Have you been travelling? Where are you from? Are you--" Just then she was interrupted by a poke to her plump side. "Ow!" she said, then laughed. "Yes? Did you want one too? Maybe I should mark them up, I could turn a profit here. Don't tell Bon Bon." She laughed and nudged Draco (since he was closest), wiggling her eyebrows. It's a good thing sis isn't here, she thought, or she wouldn't be letting me make all these hilarious jokes! She pulled out two more and offered them to Belmont and Cloud. ((OOC: What does Belmont look like? Sorry, it's hard to have Marshie look at him.))
  6. (OOC: Thanks Insanity and Iron! This definitely needed some plot, ha. So to clear things up, you two are following the black-hooded pony, me and Sour Lemonade are standing by the lemonade stand chatting, and Snowy and Twilight are watching Dream Notes and his violin.) Lovestone sighed. It was harder to start a conversation with this pegasus than she expected. Plus, she had to get going -- it was getting later and her mother was at home by herself. Lovestone had to get groceries, stop by the stationery shop, write up all the invitations for Mother's birthday party, start dinner, clean the bathroom... She shook her head, snapping out of checklist-mode, and took a drink of the lemonade. Immediately she felt better -- this was the best lemonade she'd had in a long time, the perfect balance of sweet and sour and tangy. She almost forgot how warm it was outside. She guessed that was what you got from a pegasus with a lemon as a cutie mark. "Wow, this is wonderful," she said with a grin, pulling a small bag of bits out of her saddlebag. "I don't suppose you sell jugs of it?"

  8. I call Starswirl the Bearded!! Ahem. Just wanted to pop in and say that I'd be up for something like this if you're still planning on it. I'm more than willing to help with plot planning, although I've never done a GM'd roleplay before. It sounds like a ton of fun. RP's oh so easily end up going nowhere. I'd love to play a part in a story with a plot. And if I can be Starswirl, well! That clinches it. My two cents on combat -- it might be better not to include it. The puzzle idea could get really bogged down if we don't find your solution, but if you keep it really flexible and are willing to let us escape in weird ways, it could certainly work. But those types of battles would hopefully be few and far between? One last thought -- since this could be sort of a test run for GM'd roleplay here, maybe it shouldn't be too crazy ambitious, just to get feet wet. I really hope this garners enough interest to become reality.
  9. "Yep," Marshie answered, turning to the bright green mare with a grin. "Oh my! How rude of me! Would you like one, Sour Lemonade?" She had plenty of them in her saddlebags, since she'd just stopped at Cafe Bon (the swankiest candymaker in town) to stock up on her way home from work. She was handing them out like... well, candy, because it was wonderful to be able to share. Her sister hated the things. She hadn't noticed the cloud overhead with the longing pegasus peeking over the edge. Being an earth pony, she was simply used to keeping her focus on the ground, and something would have to catch her attention to make her glance that way.
  10. Lovestone trotted after the shy little pegasus eagerly. She knew that it would be her job to give the conversation that little push it needed to get going, and she was up for the challenge. "Oh my, that looks good," she said as she watched her pour out the beverage. "Do you run this place all by yourself?"

  12. Roleplay Type: World of Equestria Name: Lovestone Sex: Female Age: Mare Species: Earth pony Eye Color: Green Coat Color: Beige Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Tan and dusty pink, in loose long waves. Physique: Soft around the edges Cutie Mark: Ivy vines in a heart shape, symbolizing her undying faithfulness to the ponies she loves. Origin/Residence: Born, raised, and still living in Fillydelphia, she and her mother have a small apartment. Occupation: Part time at Sweet Adventures bookstore, part time at the local Sofas and Quills. Motivation: She sees caring for those in need of care, physically or emotionally, as her highest calling, and participates in her Wednesday Book Club with fervor. Likes: Citrus fruits, walks in the park, her book club Dislikes: Ponies who take advantage of her, crowds, being cooped up inside Character Summary: Lovestone was born in Fillydelphia to two earth ponies, Honeysuckle and Stony Crag. Stony worked on the docks of the Manebrush River unloading cargo brought from the north, until he died on the job when Lovestone was just a foal. The financial assistance Honeysuckle got as a widow was never quite enough, so they moved to a small apartment where Honeysuckle raised her daughter until her health issues no longer allowed her to. At that time Honeysuckle bought Lovestone a train ticket to Manehattan, where her aunt owned a bookstore, and hired a caretaker for herself. While there, Lovestone met and fell in love with a colt who said he loved her too. She poured her everything into him, her life's story, her hopes, fears, and dreams, until the day she found him with another filly. Though it was difficult, she said she could forgive him because he was that important to her. Sadly he didn't feel the same way and she never saw him again. The next day she went home to her mother and cried her heart out, then made a vow: she would never desert another pony the way he'd deserted her, starting with her mother, whom she would take care of for the rest of her life. At that moment a twirling ivy vine in the shape of a heart appeared on her flank -- in flower symbolism, the ivy stands for faithfulness and friendship. Unfortunately, Lovestone's greatest pride, the story of her cutie mark, is also what binds her. She sometimes feels chained to her mother and wishes she could move away, although she loves her dearly and doesn't blame her for her illness. But she can never leave Fillydelphia (except for short trips) since her vow to stay with her mother was the thing that brought her her cutie mark in the first place. She also feels obligated to stay faithful even to people who use her and are generally toxic. Because of this she guards herself very carefully from new relationships and takes a long time to make friends. Her guilty pleasure is romance novels (though in public she insists she only reads serious literature). She cries at happy endings, good music, and in private about her friends' problems, being very emotionally reserved in front of others. She spends her days reading, dreaming, and working her two part-time jobs. (click to enlarge)
  13. Marshie felt somepony bump into her and smiled at the stylishly dressed pony. "No problem!" She turned back to her new friend, enjoying watching him eat the moon pie. She decided to get another out of her bag for herself and took a bite. "My name's Marshmallow Moon, but you can call me Marshie. What's yours?"
  14. Marshmallow Moon made it to the crowd. "Good afternoon!" she replied to the lime green pony cheerfully. "Nice to see so many pegasi out enjoying the weather! My sister likes to tell me that I don't need wings to have my head in the clouds, ho ho ho!" she chortled at her little joke. She quickly noticed the exhausted-looking green stallion partly behind the tree and walked closer to smile at him. "You look like you could use a pick-me-up," she said. "Moon Pie? They're my favorite." She rummaged in her saddlebag and offered one to him, her hooves a little sticky but her heart in the right place.
  15. [OOC: I love long, more to read! ] "Oh, no no no! Please don't worry about it!" Lovestone said with a bright smile. "It was my fault." She glanced behind her at the rickety old stand; the only pony nearby was the owner, the lime green mare who'd bumped into her. She might as well take a break from the crowds for a little while and enjoy something cold on this hot day, and maybe even have a bit of a conversation. The mare seemed sweet enough, if a bit shy. "Actually, though a glass of lemonade sounds wonder-- " she started, but was interrupted by a sudden woosh of air that left her mane flipped over her ear. As she fixed it, she turned to see a yellow pegasus pony trotting away from the crowds toward them. She seemed to be indecisive about something, glancing back at the crowds, and Lovestone wondered if this mare could use some cold lemonade too.
  16. How about 12:00 your time zone, since you started the topic?
  17. That's really disturbing. I hope you're satisfied, sir. And you know what's funny? Shoo be doo is my text tone. Google is my friend! They are cute, but they seem a little gimmicky. Which I'm sure means Hasbro has them as a central part of the Season 3 finale. While we're talking about older generations, I'd love to see the Smooze make a return, too. I wonder how much they've lost the rights to in G1? That was a problem if I remember right.
  18. Hello! I'm new, and a pegasister, and sick too! I just got over the stomach flu. Here's hoping we both feel better soon. (p.s. everyone knows earth ponies are best ponies *shifty eyes*)

  20. Wednesdays in Ponyville, for unknown reasons, were unusually crowded at the marketplace. Maybe it was because the weather team usually scheduled sun, maybe because of the two-for-one sales all the merchants had, maybe because everyone thought no one else would think to shop midweek. Whatever the reason, there was a huge crowd in the Ponyville Marketplace today, with a single beige earth pony standing just outside the edges of it, shivering despite the warm summer sun overhead. Her tan-and-pink mane, brushed fluffy, tumbled over her shoulders in long waves, and her huge saddlebags (empty as yet) halfway covered the ivy vines that decorated her flank. Whether Lovestone liked it or not, she needed food, and she needed it today. And since her mother wasn't able to, the young mare had to shop for the both of them herself, even though she hated large crowds and avoided them as much as possible. What she wouldn't give for a pair of pegasus wings to simply fly overhead. She stood indecisively, knowing it had to be done but not wanting to start. Just as she thought she'd better go home and try again tomorrow, she flinched as a strange pony bumped into her from behind. "Ow!"
  21. Come on. The FiM team turned this: into this: Remember? You think they can't do anything with seaponies?
  22. I'd like to cast one more vote into the seaponies camp. Seriously Hasbro, SHOO BE DOO! I mean, MAKE IT HAPPEN!
  23. I AM SMILING! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D ... I'm always surprised when this name's available. I guess it's kind of an obscure line, but I thought it was adorable. And Pinkie was my first best pony so it makes sense.
