  1. Well, for what it's worth, the MLP Wiki refers to the population of the Crystal Empire as being Earth Ponies. It makes sense to assume that, much like the Mane 6 demonstrated, the Crystal Ponies only shimmer while in the Crystal Empire and/or presence of the Crystal Heart. Either way, it seems to me that they are still just a variation of Earth Pony, and have no known abilities that really define them enough to warrent calling them a new race. That's my take on it anyway.
  2. I hope if and when Crystal Ponies are introduced into the Mane RP, that they are limited to Earth Ponies since that's all the population (apparently) consists of. There wasn't a single Pegasus or Unicorn outside of the Mane 6 seen in the Crystal Empire.
  3. Sorry, but I can't jump on the Silent Hill 2 bandwagon. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that game holds great nostalgic value to those who played it years ago, but as a horror game it simply does not stand up to other titles in the genre today. Because I hadn't played it and have heard so much about it, I decided to give it a try a couple years ago, and it was completely okay across the board, and was certainly not a frightening experience in the slightest.
  4. Just a quick note about FEAR and the horror genre... The main reason FEAR is generally looked down upon in terms of horror is because the franchise chose to abandon it's horror roots in favor of straight up combat. FEAR 1 was a great game with a truly frightening atmosphere. It managed to seamlessly combine horror and combat, and the formula worked. To this day I still have nightmares about the hospital section of that game... Things started to go downhill in FEAR 2. While it still had it moments of horror, the game suffered from being fragmented and repetitive. FEAR 1 managed to combine horror and combat, while FEAR 2 divided the two, which really hurt the overall pacing of the game, and the effectiveness of the horror aspects as well. FEAR 2 plays like this... Scary section with minimal combat -> Generic shooting section with lots of combat -> Scary section with minimal combat -> Generic shooting section with lots of combat...rinse and repeat. And then there is F3AR (FEAR 3)...I'm going to be completely honest. This game was NOT scary. FEAR 3 is a straight up FPS with almost no horror elements. This game single-handedly ruined a potentially great horror character (Alma). It was a decent FPS, but it completely abandoned its horror roots. Oddly enough, this EXACT sequence of events is being repeated by the Dead Space franchise.
  5. Wow...that many views and I've never heard of it before today. It's...it's okay. Cutesy but not that catchy in my opinion. 2/5 Laura Marling anyone?
  6. Here are my stats at level 60, with (almost) best in slot gear. I'm missing the BiS pendant, which after grinding for an hour or so never dropped.
  7. This topic is srs bsns. I'm assuming most of us have a "go to" sandwich, whether we're at Subway, Quiznos, at home making our own, etc. What is your perfect sandwich? My perfect sandwhich is an oven roasted chicken breast on a wheat bun with romaine lettuce, red onions, bell peppers, pickled jalapenos, provolone, and a bit of mayonnaise. Bliss...
  8. Gotta be honest, I LOVED WFC, and FOC just isn't holding my attention as well as the first game did. Fall of Cybertron is a great game, and it is aesthetically and mechanically better than its predecessor, but it just doesn't feel as good as War for Cybertron did. Granted, I'm only on Chapter V right now, as I've spent most time in multiplayer and Escalation mode. In terms of customization, I was expecting much more. I would have liked it if each individual body part affected your overall stats, and not just your class, weapon, and perks. The addition of Dinobots was a neat feature, but removing the fembots is unforgivable in my eyes, ESPECIALLY because High Moon used the laziness excuse. Protip for Escalation: Don't waste resources opening up more areas than absolutely necessary. Find a nice spot to hold out in, find a nice ranged weapon, stay as a group, and let each wave come to you. I've found that whenever we've opened up every area on the map, it simply becomes too big and we end up getting separated and picked off individually. Favorite Autobot: Arcee Favorite Decepticon: Shockwave
  9. Couple tips to help anyone playing on the hardest difficulty. - Health, Defense, and Fidget are the most important stats to level through Skill Gems. Attack is useless beyond the miminum, as you will get plenty of it through gear. - I've personally found that Aerial Dust Storm + Fidget Combos are the most efficient and safest way to dispose of enemies, especially if you've been focusing on keeping your Fidget stat as high as possible. - Fidget's fire attack is pretty useless, as the flame pillars strike inconsistently. The basic fidget attack is great until you get the lightning attack, which is amazing since it deals massive AoE damage and stuns during the duration. - Don't parry unless absolutely required. Jumping, dodging, or Aerial Dust Storm will keep you out of harm in most situations. Beyond that, the one tip that I've personally come to rely on is to not waste any gold on buying food. Instead, look for gear and blueprients that have the regen stat on it, and heal yourself that way. Most attacks will kill you in 2-3 hits anyway, even with your Health and Defense maxed. You'll come across plenty of food from chests and enemies, and once you become comfortable with combat you won't be getting hit at all. Buying food is essentially wasting gold. Hope that helps! The game is a lot of fun. ^_^
  10. I'll be rolling on Yaks Bend, as that is where Guru is going to be stationed out of. Guarenteed to maintain a high population and strong presence is PvE and WvWvW.
  11. Hey now, Reddit is a pretty tame place as long as you avoid a choice few subreddits.
  12. I love me some B-52s, but it feels and sounds like there are just too many people on that stage. The entire performance comes across as messy and is ultimately just reduced to "noise". Frank Sinatra says the Cake is NOT a lie.
  13. It's almost as if what started off as a relatively small and focused company was somehow...absorbed by a much larger entity dedicated to...to...the electronic...arts...
  14. Did that with Fire Emblem 7, no one died and I recruited all the optional characters as well.
  15. I was about to say...Sephiroth in KH2 is pretty easy no matter how you approach the fight. The first KH Sephiroth battle though...still one of my most proud gaming accomplishments to date.
  16. Haha, yeah I didn't see much in the way of removal get passed my way. As far as the mill cards, their main function was to activate Jace's Phantasm, turning them into 5/5s for 1 mana. Also, when most people draft into 40 card decks, 2 mana for a mill 7 is huge, and often times hits big cards. So, peudo-removal in a way.
  17. So I just got back from a 16 pool double elimination booster draft for M13. Ranked 2nd with an overall record of 12-5. Here was my deck list: The notable pulls that I saw from the tournmanet included 3 Nefarox and a Nico Bolas.
  18. I really like what Faust had in mind for Scootaloo, and am sad that it will not play out as she originally intended. There is a remarkable amount of character development to be found in a character that faces such a challenge.
  19. There are many foods that I LOVE, but I've found that after a long period away from home, the one meal that I really look forward to is a nice home-grilled burger.
  20. Oh geezus, I was drinking coffee when the drop hit...was completely not expecting it. Now I am dying of laughter and a burnt esophagus. xD
  21. Haha, I haven't listened to Electric Six in awhile now, and to be frank I think I prefer their older stuff. DANGER DANGER! HIGH VOLTAGE! xD 3/5 Radwimps - DADA
  22. At the moment, I do not actively participate in any other fandoms, unless you count contributions to certain gaming boards, namely Tribes: Ascend. Also, concerning Capcom...they are dead to me. Capcom's poor treatment of the Megaman franchise literally kills part of my soul. Megaman has always been one of their most popular (and original) franchises, and to see Capcom openly neglect it despite the resounding fan support has caused me to lose faith them.
  23. Frequently - Computer, 3DS Occasionally - X360 Rarely - PS Vita
