  1. It looks like a coincidence to me. Their costumes don't look that similar, in my opinion. The G3 pony has more of a cape, whereas Cloud Kicker has more of a dress. A witch is a pretty common Halloween costume, and they would have to be more like each other for me to think it was intentional. It is a very clever catch, though.
  2. My bad. I guess I've been misinterpreting then. Sorry.
  3. I suppose I worded what I said kind of badly. 'Ruler' was a bad word to use. ^^; I was more referring to more as their fandom status as dictators/tyrants. They definitely have command over the day and night, but I never saw them as the (usually all powerful, all knowing) political leaders they are portrayed as.
  4. Disregard this. It didn't make very much sense.
  5. You can also type [*url=URL]TEXT without the asterisk. ^^
  6. I love a whole lot of ponies for a whole lot of reasons. I really like Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Sweetie Belle, and Cadance as far as main (and secondary) characters go. I generally say that Soarin' is my favorite pony, simply because I really like the Wonderbolts and I find his design very aesthetically pleasing. However, I honestly think Silverspeed is the perfect pony for me. She has most my favorite colors, she's very pretty, her cutie mark is a bow and arrow, and her name even has Silver in it. So, if I had to choose just one, it would be her, even though she only appears for a few seconds.
  7. The characters I roleplay usually only have a few things in common with me (you write what you know, after all). I like to keep roleplaying characters as their own unique selves, not just subtle versions of myself or my friends. I may link particular traits from people I know, but they're always just vague similarities that are very different from their real life counterparts. I do have a pony persona, though. Her name is Silver Rains, and she's supposed to be a pony version of me. Perhaps a bit exaggerated, but me nonetheless. I'm pretty sure most artists have an exaggerated version of themselves that they use for their art.
  8. I never watched much TV as a kid. Well, that's not entirely true. I watched a lot of Discovery Channel documentaries and stuff, but I rarely watched what everypony else my age was watching. It didn't help that, despite the fact that I had cable, Cartoon Network didn't supply to my area until I was older. Anyway, my first anime would be Digimon Adventures. Though, like a lot of others, I didn't really think of it as anime at the time. I still love Digimon, especially the games. Not too fond of the series from Frontier on, but I loved Adventures 01-02 and Tamers. I really, really love Pokémon, but boy do I hate the anime. I kept wanting to like it, because I love the games so much, but I just couldn't do it.

    I Arted!

I draw ponies! Yay! My work is all vector, which is a kind of graphic created from shapes, lines, and curves. All of my art can be seen on my Deviantart, but I will post stuff related to this site in this thread here for easy access. If you have any questions or constructive critique, I'd love to hear it! Click images to see the full sized originals! Might as well start with this! This is the design for my first character, Sugar Swirl, as well as her cutie mark!
  10. I really enjoyed Becoming Popular and The Flim Flam Brothers, both for totally different reasons, but I think Smile, Smile, Smile is my favorite.
  11. Haha! Fair enough. I don't actually have anything against Space Marines, but I like to make that joke just for fun.
  12. You're not one of those Space Marines people, are you? Hehe. ♪ You seem very entertaining! I'm sure we will get along very well.
  13. I started watching the show around early December of 2011. So, about 6 months now, I suppose. At the time, season 2 had only recently started. Lucky me!
  14. My friends and I always pick on each other, so they're constantly joking about hating ponies, but I'm pretty sure than none of them actually do. They will look at my art and stuff, even though none of them have seen the show. I think over all, they don't really care for the show, but they see no reason to hate it either.
  15. This is one of the most adorable things I have ever experienced. I haven't played very many rhythm games, but I really enjoy them.
  16. I have always liked clever cartoons like Friendship is Magic. It is a very well produced creation, and for that I love it. It may not be the most original and unique thing out there, but it is overall very enjoyable for a wide range of people. The characters have depth to them, which is especially great for something targeted at younger audiences. The stories are often fairly predictable, but enjoyable anyway. All around, the show itself is enjoyable and I have a feeling I'd have sat and watched through it at least once even if there were no other factors involved. What intrigues me most is the style. The basic pony design is so very simple, yet it has so much potential. They manage to display a whole lot of different and unique looking characters, even though the very basic shape of a pony always looks the same. That's true even if you don't count the different, rarer body shapes (such as Big Macintosh and Flim and Flam, etc.). There is so much color in this show, but it's so well executed that it doesn't seem like too much. The colors are always very soft and well put together, never appearing too bright or clashing. Even just the backgrounds have dozens of colors in them, and they mostly go unnoticed. I love the thick colored outlines. It's such a breath of fresh air compared to the thin black lines that usually define cartoons. Visually, I think Friendship is Magic is absolutely beautiful. I suppose this is why I (and so many others) spend so much time drawing ponies. I also really love the setting. Equestria is a really interesting and amazing place, full of magic and monsters. The idea that these ponies literally create their world is so awesome to me. Pegasi create the weather, the princesses raise the sun and moon, ponies work together to bring springtime... and so much more! It's all very enchanting. Not to mention the awesome creatures that dot the world. This is, of course, just how the show personally appeals to me. I love that the fans have many different reasons to love the show, and that we can all be brought together by our fondness for it.
  17. I forget eeeeverything. I write a lot of lists to try and fix that, then I forget where the lists are!
  18. I was going to say something interesting but I forgot what it was! So, just hello I guess!
  19. Why, hello to you as well, oh Thundery one. *return bow* Hah! I'm not sure about good impressions, but I tend to make lasting ones! ^^ Heh, I have no idea why you think I'm so interesting, but I like it! ♪ Hooray for new friends!
  20. I really like Cadance, too! ♪ I think it's absolutely silly to dislike or alienate someone because of what they do or don't like. I can only imagine how irritating the misconceptions about tourettes are for you. I know I'm annoyed by the misconceptions about ADD/ADHD, and those are hardly as negative as those for tourettes.
  21. Yea, I know it's not perfect, but like you said, it fixed a lot of the things that sucked about 3.5. All systems have their breaks somewhere. It's just up to the DM to address them when they come up, I suppose. I haaaate 4th ed. I kind of feel like it's like playing WoW, but tabletop. I really like a very character and story driven campaign, though. My kind of tabletop game can go on for hours with no dice rolled. I know a lot of the power gamer types who just like to kill monsters and be as powerful as possible (and mind, I don't dislike these people, I just hate playing with them because it's not my style) really like 4th ed, though.
  22. Hallo! I'm new here too. We can be new together, hooray! ♪ Always good to meet another avid table top player! What's your favorite system? Mine's Pathfinder, hands down. If you haven't tried it yet, absolutely do so! It's beautiful. Like DnD 3.5 created by and for people who loved to play DnD 3.5.
  23. I'm running out of things to say that aren't just, "Hello!" ... Well, anyway, hello!
