  1. I like too many songs to name just three.. Those are some of my favourites
  2. yup, it's a Dell (not the person that sings rolling in the deep XD)
  3. Nah it's a pain to clean, it's in like a little pigeon hole and has a ton of cables running through it. It's the family computer anyway, i'm moving to university next month so it's not really my problem anymore XD
  4. Yeah they have their flaws but it's perfect for me personally. My PC is like 10 years old now and it's running XP so it's not very good now. My brother went through 2 new laptops with windows XP and all of them died after 6-9 months
  5. SO far i've had no problems with it but i'll see how it fairs after prolonged use, whilst I love my mac book pro as it is unbelievably fast and doesn't crash every 5 mins like my PC, I really dislike the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, they are utterly useless. some apple products I really dislike
  6. I've never owned one however my grandfathers other half uses one as she has arthritis, when I used their computer I found it unusual at first but very comfortable on the hand. I'm using the newest apple magic mouse at the moment as it came with a discount with my mac and I find it to be the most functional and comfortable mouse i've used.
  7. Oooohhh, thats pretty good! A lot of the time when just looking for original pony music it usually just comes up with the living tombstone and glaze. I'll be sure to look harder next time
  8. Or better yet does anybody know of any? Brony music is great and all but if you don't like electro, house, dubstep etc. then you're screwed. I don't mind this kinda music and the creators are usually very talented don't get me wrong but I want some pony music that I can bang my head to, it's in my nature. Anyone else ever felt the same? Why don't you think more people do it?
  9. no worries, happy to help
  10. Yeah you should be ^.^ also make sure you take the acoustics in the room into consideration, if the room is too big then you will have too much unwanted reverb, any windows, mirrors or reflective surfaces should be kept to a minimum. It may also be worth hanging a few blankets around. It is a cheap alternative to soundproofing
  11. yup, makes a hell of a difference though. it's more of an option to consider later on
  12. Ohh that looks like a perfect Mic to start off with! My concern was that Condenser mics require 48v phantom power to make them work, however by the looks of it you computer will do that via USB saving you a lot of money buying a mixer or audio interface to power it with conventional XLR cables. As for software there aren't that many cheap options, Audacity is perfect for beginners and is completely free! Alternatively you can try the FL studio demo, it has the full capabilities of the normal version, the only drawback however is that you can't reopen saved work after you exit, meaning you have to do the mixing and mastering in one session which is a bit of a pain.
  13. If you check out DV247.com they have various bundles such as an M-Audio device interfaces which come with software such as pro tools as well as condenser microphone bundles which come with a pop filter and a little sound proofing, it will be a little more expensive that just a microphone and audacity. it may be worth investing in this kind of equipment after you have made a few recordings and got the hang of it ^.^
  14. Thanks for the feedback, I'll look into adjusting the pads. I think I know what you mean, Do you know of any good free drum samples.. I'm a bit low on money at the moment
  15. I've started a new song about Pinkie pie assaulting spike with cake, it's very early days with this one, I just though it was a territory relatively untouched so I wanted to give it ago, http://soundcloud.com/proofofboredom/cake-assault-improved-intro Thoughts?
  16. I think this is a good idea.. With a community such as this any criticisms will be very constructive and thus very useful to you. You will be given plenty of support until you feel you are ready to release your covers to a wider audience..
  17. Put up the ones that you personally feel happy about and think other people would enjoy.. If they get a bad response and it is bothering you then take them down!
  18. I completely forgot about ED. I've never submitted to them before as this is my only MLP remix to date i'll get right on it!
  19. Well this took me around 3-4 weeks to make, due to trying to get my head around the new software but I finally did it. It's not exactly Glaze or Tomb quality because i'm still a noob when it comes to music, but I had a lot of fun... And isn't that the point of it all http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2ih4KuUB84 ALSO: What song should I do next... i'm a little stumped for idea's
  20. Awesome! i'll make a start on some when i've finished my current project!
  21. This is my first attempt at a MLP remix. I decided on the parasprite polka as it is a less common MLP remix. This is just the sequencing which I have settled on, it still requires mixing and mastering so i'll be updating this post as I finish the songs mixing http://soundcloud.com/proofofboredom/pinkie-polka-second-edit Any improvements, recommendations and criticisms are greatly appreciated
  22. Cool, I look forward to seeing it!
  23. My word those are amazing, if you could give it a go it would be greatly appreciated. bigger pictures of my oc are link in the topic.. Thank you soo much!
