All-time favorite was Denny's meat-lover skillets, but they don't serve those anymore. Food made by my Mom: Spaghetti Food made by my Dad: Breaded porkchops Dessert: Chocolate bar Drink: Cherry icee
  2. Well...... I suppose that if we really wanted to be cheap with the retconning, it can just be explained that the RP Equestria and the "canon" one are actually two similar-yet-different dimensions and call it a day.
  3. If you want to make foolproof bets against people who believe that the End is coming, now would be a good time to do it.
  4. There may be one other possibility that we have yet to consider; that Princess Skyla is actually the heiress of some as-of-yet unknown Crystal Kingdom ruler. For some reason, this ruler is unable to either run the kingdom or care for Skyla, so Princess Cadance gets brought in as the Crystal Kingdom's Steward until Skyla is fit to rule. In other words, Cadance would once again be a glorified foalsitter.
  5. We might need a new gender-inclusive nickname for FiM fans then. At any rate, the only way I'd make the title of "Brony" more exclusive than my previous definition is to only apply that title to those who feel a need to openly express their appreciation for FiM and/or seek out other FiM fans. Sort of like how casual Star Trek fans who may like that franchise but would not go out of their way to buy merch or seek out like-minded others would not be considered "Trekkies". Ergo, I'd say that everyone who posts here is a "Brony", if for no other reason that everyone here made the conscious decision to become members of a clearly-advertised FiM community. FiM fans who seek out other FiM fans shouldn't have to be regarded as "less than Brony" just because they don't buy merch, create fanwork, reveal their love of FiM to non-fans, or perform any other specialized activity. EDIT: A FiM fan who does buy merchandise but does not make an effort to find other fans is still a "Brony" in my book, too.
  6. I read a few chapters of it this morning, though the villains there were not exactly what I had in mind. My theoretical Queen-antagionist would be someone who really believes in nuturing and spreading Harmony throughout all the land... so much so that she'd be willing to order questionable deeds like burning down the Everfree Forest (nothing there but horrible monsters), launching an all-out war on the Changelings (because Harmony is at stake!), and forbidding ponies from ever, ever having any sort of conflicts/disputes/ect. with one another (arguing is bad, mmkay?).
  7. Odd; for someone who's supposed to be a newborn, Princess Skyla's official art makes her look more like a schoolchild than a infant like the Cake twins. Assuming Skyla is Shiny and Cadance's love child*, it would be very perplexing if the Princess shows up like her official art while the Cake twins remain as newborns. *Har har, it's funny because it's figuratively true.
  8. Future villains, eh? Well, if Discord was all about Chaos, then perhaps Ponykind needs a villain who desires Order and Harmony at all costs... a long-lost alicorn Queen of Equestria, possibly. While this Queen wouldn't be a sadist or other type of mustache-twirler, her methods of ruling would be misguidedly authoritarian compared to those of Princess Celestia. Ironically, this Queen actually does more to foster disharmony and chaos as the citizens of Equestria refuse to tolerate a seemingly-tyrannical ruler.
  9. "Brony" is simply a fancy-shmancy term for more grown-up fans of MLP:FiM. What it takes to be a fan of FiM is no more different than what it takes to be a fan of any other show.
  10. This would be my list: Twilight: Lesson Zero Applejack: Applebuck Season Rainbow Dash: Sonic Rainboom Pinkie Pie: Feeling Pinkie Keen Rarity: Suited For Success Fluttershy: Putting Your Hoof Down Spike: Dog And Pony Show Celestia* Luna: Luna Eclipsed * Luna (as Nightmare Moon) had more screentime in the pilot than Celestia, you know.
  11. I have never used Gmail or Hotmail on a regular basis. I use Outlook Express for essential email purposes and Yahoo as a dumping ground for online registeration junk.

You sound a bit like one of my online buddies Chapien; while he is a super-awesome programmer who recently graduated with a Computer Science degree, he absolutely hates stuff like Discreet Mathematics (I know because he was ranting specifically about Discreet Math last week). As long as you're at least half the workaholic that my programmer friend is, you'll be able to get past math courses. If you are worried that you won't be recieving as much creative writing and music education as you'd like under a BSGD program, make sure your portfolio of completed projects demonstrates your game design aptitude in non-programming fields. Your portfolio and your connections are your two best friends in getting a job in the video game industry.

    Phobias

    1. If a bee, wasp, or hornet is flying around in my general area, I stay away as far as I can. Especially if they're not busy with flower business. If a big bug flies outside my window and I think it could sting me, I shut the window even though it wouldn't be able to get past my screen. 2. As I never quite learned how to swim, I get real nervous if I'm in a small boat. I absolutely will not swim or dive in anything bigger than a backyard pool.
  14. I don't think the Hayseed Swamps are meant to correspond to any real location, just as there's little-to-none real-life inspiration for the locations that make up Equestria's "Core" (Ponyville/Canterlot/Cloudsdale/Everfree). On that note, I wonder if the city of Tall Tale just south of Vanhoover has a real-life namesake? Nitpick #2: Shouldn't "Dodge City" actually be Dodge Junction?
  15. Observation: the "official" map appears to be very very loosely based on North America. Note that all the periphery cities are located in the approximate spots that their real-life namesakes would be on a real map. There's even a Vanhoover in the northwest corner! Assuming that the real world can serve as a somewhat reliable guide for placing Equestrian cities, then Hoofington/Washington would probably end up on the south shore of Horseshoe Bay (fittingly right next to a swamp), while poor ole' Trottingham would be on the other side of the Pond from Equestria-proper. Nitpick alert: I think Los Pegasus should actually still be Las Pegasus, since Las Vegas seems to be the more obvious namesake for the place than Los Angeles.
  16. Who knows? Maybe it's like the Colorado River in that it dries up before reaching the ocean.
  17. Hmmm, I suppose that if it comes down to it, nearly all the locations that originate in the RP (Stalliongrad, Aquellia, Itaily, ect.) could be relocated... if rather painfully. At any rate, it's probably not a good idea at this time to make a new RP map until we have a clue as to the whereabouts of "that place" in Season 3.
  18. No obvious contradictions; Ponyville, Canterlot, and Cloudsdale are located in their correct spots as per the map featured in Family Appreciation Day. But that's not what concerns me. And that's the big question. With all the Chaos Geography present in the show already, I wouldn't trust anything less than an in-show map of Equestria pinpointing all the periphery cities surrounding Canterlot/Ponyville. Unless we see such a map in an episode though, I would prefer it if the RP stuck with BrianblackBerry's map (which I admit I have become rather fond of).
  19. Pardon me for wearing my sceptic hat, but should we really consider this map canon if it hasn't been featured on the show itself? Unless FiM's creative staff had a hand in developing the map (which I somewhat doubt given the nature of how merchandising), this map may end up being no more official than the current RP map. For a prime example of a franchise's merchandising featuring inconsistent geography, just look at The Simpsons. In every Simpsons game that allows you a chance to roam or drive around Springfield, the street layout and location placement change in every single game. In other words, unless we have confirmation that the FiM crew will commit to a geographically-consistent Equestria as depicted in this map, I feel there is no reason yet to scrap the current RP map. With that said, I hope a clearer image of the map shows up in a few days; some of the names are kinda hard to read in the image.
  20. I, for one, never understood the appeal of making peace-loving pony friends fight each other. The only fighting game I've ever played was Super Smash Bros. Melee......
  21. Excellent! Don't let my character give you too much grief, hehe.
  22. If you don't mind Satohai, I'd like to make a request too. I was wondering if you could draw my upcoming Mane RP OC, Dr. Spin Tale? Aside from the physical details in the app, I'd like Spin Tale to wear a dark blue necktie that's attached to a white collar. Hope you take this request on, and good luck with your future artwork and jewlery (your jewlery is quite nice, indeed).
  23. I'm not all that sure if FiM should get a big-screen motion picture or not. While the animation crew is probably up to the challenge, would there be enough families out there willing to pay tickets for a 2D-animated movie these days? It would probably be less financially risky to do a TV special or straight-to-iTunes* release instead. * Take that, DVDs!
  24. I've previously been active in the South Park, Minecraft, Sonic, Pokemon, Half-Life, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars online communities. After a while, I've stopped actively participating in each of them and I know that one day, I'll leave MLP behind when I find a new primary fandom to belong to (but not today, though ). In my experience, MLP stands out the most for the extremely high-visibility of fanwork; no other fandom as a whole seems to value and promote fanwork as much as MLP's. No other fandom seems to value proselytizing to potential 'converts' as much as MLP's as well; one of my long-time online buddies (the one who encouraged me to watch the show, in fact) takes great pleasure in finding others willing to give MLP a chance. I believe MLP fans and other fandoms benefit from more interaction as long as we are not acting like we've just come out of 4chan, hehehe.
  25. Well, the Changeling invasion would have happened whether Chrysalis was revealed by Twilight or not (Chrysalis was not in a position to either summon or call off her minions while disguised as Cadance). However if Twilight and Cadance hadn't escaped from the crystal mines, Chrysalis would probably have had more freedom to sabotage Canterlot's defenses "from the inside". After causing more of a mess of things, Chrysalis would then choose her own time to go into her villian monologue. That's my two bits, anyway.
