Indie

Hello everypony! This is my first blog ever, so I intend to make a huge fuss over it. I'll try to keep interesting content flowing, and not waste anyponies' time, like I'm doing right now. Also if I make any spelling or grammar errors be sure to give me a thorough scolding. I deserve it. I intend to use this for music and random comical stories about my actual life, my RP life, and my imagination. I also mean to draw things to use for reference in the blog so keep an eye out for awesomely mediocre artwork That's all folks, have a great day! -IT

well i have been using a steinberg Cl1 audio interface, and just plugging my stuff straight to it, then mixing everything in FL Studio. I've uploaded more btw. i probably will tomorrow too...

i'm glad you say that, i always feel like my singings a bit flat.i'll get to work on the lyrics though, i suppose.

I can relate to you, im also a musician who just threw my stuff out there. I actually just posted a post above yours. but nonetheless, your voice makes me jelly bro, i love the lyrics, the overall feel of the song is just downright perfect for how i see PP(ha), and the fact you recorded this with a ukulele as your backup also makes me jelly. i would kill for a ukulele. Personally im kind of a hipster, so i like the homebrewed quality of it. All in all i could see myself listening to this while riding my bike to the grocery store or something with a big-ass grin, because it's so relaxed and happy. So, well done. Now make songs for all the other mane six, and they'll all be on my ipod.

There were two things Indie knew would be at this convention without a doubt. Music, which he loved, and large crowds of ponies, which he was terrified of. With a deep breath he dove in. I wonder if it's too late to perform... he thought to himself. He had his guitar with him, but right now all it was good for was looks and bumping the occasional stranger. There were as many ponies as he expected, and just as many familiar faces. That would be zero to clarify. Walking among the crowds he spotted the stage and found a seat pretty close. Maybe the music would start soon. A thought struck his subconscious What if this was somepony else's seat? What if he was sitting somewhere reserved for a band, or what if he wasn't where he was supposed to be? No one had told him. It wasn't his fault, right? Stop, he told himself, just breathe. Nopony cares if you sit here. Its just a seat. Relax and look for a band to come on. He turned to the stage and looked around for a oncoming performer.

Indie chuckled at the ponies excitement to record. "[colour=#ff0000]Agreed[/colour]," Indie nodded, "[colour=#ff0000]How's the park sound? I'm pretty much free any day around this time.[/colour]" Indie started towards the door, motioning her to accompany him.

"[colour=#ff0000]Definitely, a sly piece on the guitar could definitely go a ways with your rap. We might could even get something recorded.[/colour]" Indie broke into an open smile. He loved collaborations. (How do ponies keep in contact with each other? Exchange adresses or what? O.o)

"[colour=#ff0000]Well, it sounds like you've got a unique sound to work with. Not alot of ponies can say that.[/colour]" Indie noted. He stood from his seat, of course after taking the final bite of his tart. "[colour=#ff0000]I'm afraid i have to go. I have a few things to attend to. Thank you for accompanying me for lunch[/colour]." He turned to the baker, "[colour=#ff0000]Thank you for the tart. I'm sure you could tell it was delicious[/colour]."

"[colour=#ff0000]That should pass with practice. At least enough to get a good full sound. How often do you write and practice?[/colour]" Indie wished he had brought an instrument, but he hadn't expected to run into a fellow musician and start a conversation. besides what would he have brought, a ukulele? I't not like he could carry a whole guitar around with him all the time. well, actually he could, but it would be very inconvenient when he was working, or just in general.

"[colour=#ff0000]impressive[/colour]," Indie muttered after she had stopped and he followed suit. It would definitely be interesting to see if they could do an actually collaboration. He could see it working, honestly. An upbeat rhythm with alot of slap harmonics and some alternate picking should do the trick. Of course a solid bass melody would have to tie it all together, he he could sing with her on the chorus. "[colour=#ff0000]Can you sing as well?[/colour]"

Indie cleared his throat for a moment, he wasn't the best at this, but he could keep rhythm and replicate most of the sounds his drums. He produced a simple four count rhythm in a general popstyle. "[colour=#ff0000]Pst-p-p-ka-pa-pa-p-ke-pa[/colour]" Indie felt a little ridiculous, but it was fun.

"[colour=#ff0000]Ah, well i've never really tried rap. I play mostly rock and things of that nature[/colour]," Indie explained, "[colour=#ff0000]but i've heard of artists incorporating rap into rock, so i may want to try it out come to think of it.[/colour]" Indie smiled, [colour=#ff0000]"If i beat-box, can you freestyle to it?[/colour]"

"[colour=#ff0000]I went to a canterlot school. It's been a few years though,"[/colour] Indie said, forcing a smile, "[colour=#ff0000]I'd rather not talk about that though. Primarily i play guitar and sing, but i also really like to play the drums.[/colour]" He took a bite of his tart after he had finished. "[colour=#ff0000]What about you? What do you play?[/colour]" He glanced to the window, suddenly remembering something. Concern lightly brushed his eyes, but he seemed intent of the conversation,and his tart. He took another bite while he waited for her reply and his tea.

Indie noticed Wordplay watching him eat, which made him eat even less, and even slower. He was so antisocial, anytime other ponies were around nervousness and fear constricted his comfort. The conversation did help distract him though. "[colour=#ff0000]That's lucky, i wish my school experience would've been that pleasant[/colour]." He said jokingly, "[colour=#ff0000]Well, I am many things, but a musician is definitely one of them[/colour]." He didn't particularly like talking about being a musician, or an artist for that matter. It seemed too boastful. He liked to just show people. The baker approached their table inquiring about tea. Indie was a little parched. "[colour=#ff0000]I would love some tea, but only if i can pay for it. You do have a business to run.[/colour]"
