  1. Excellent! I'm glad there are a few people who share my interest now, I am thinking of having Sombra's return years in the future from where the show has left off. Whether we'll have Mane 6 characters or not, I haven't decided yet. I view Sombra's revival as something extremely powerful...maybe even cataclysmic. He raises a semi-cult like organization, rallied under him and bent on conquering Equestria...and obtaining revenge. I can see Sombra developing the ability to drain away magic...to make somepony's nightmare a reality...stuff like that. Imagine this scenario: Sombra is revived by a group of cultists with the aid of a powerful magical object. Upon being restored, Sombra slowly but surely bolsters his forces...eventually laying siege to the Crystal Empire. Along with his new life, he has received a few new tricks...one of which making the Crystal Empire's magical barrier useless. He invades, conquers the city, and captures Shining Armor and Cadence. As punishment for 'treason', he drains them completely of their magical powers and tosses them into a state of eternal nightmares. The threat of the reborn Sombra is known, and Equestria rushes to defend itself. That...is about all I have so far
  2. ~Twilight, within her office at the Magus Academy~ The alicorn raised her eyes and watched Discord and Time for a couple moments, watching with wry amusement at the young student's efforts to explain himself. Upon hearing his successful first-time transformation spell, she couldn't help but smile slightly. He's gifted...maybe as gifted as I once was. When Discord made his remark about her own first-time finishing the spell, she eyed him sharply. "Yes, it did. However, we both know certain ponies have certain specialties. It could take a unicorn who is a natural with transmutation magic seconds before turning wood to solid gold. But, regardless, that is very well done, Time. However, that won't distract me from the reason you were eavesdropping. Sometimes when somepony eavesdrops, they learn things they would otherwise not want to know."
  3. "My ancestors bled for this world. They fought in the name of peace, salvation, and hope. Despite it's changed surface, every spec of earth is tainted by the blood of my subjects and forefathers, and will continue to be dyed red by the time my ascent to the heavens is over. For millenia, I have watched the world through slitted eyes, basking in the rage and despair that perforates decrepit lands, such as Equestria. Slowly since the death of my father, the King of the World, I have begun to question and doubt the goodness of equine kind...and it wasn't until the crimson-coated Equestrian Revolution that I was truly convinced that the world could not live on its own anymore. Some call me a tyrant, others call me a God. However...many refer to me simply as...Pierrot. In my time, before the Reckoning had begun, the entire planet was at peace. Alicorn civilization flourished under the rule of my kind and benevolent father, and his greatest achievement was the creation of a super-computer that could alter existence itself...the machine I know as the Goliath. When my father passed away, he had hidden his creation away, telling no one where it lay...the result was a massive upraising and war that nearly drove my race to extinction. To escape the onslaught, myself and my family sheltered within the very confines of the earth below...but I had lost my beloved daughter, Cadence. We would not resurface for five hundred years. Upon our return to the world, I learned that my sisters, Celestia and Luna, had carved out a small kingdom in this newly-shattered land...a land they referred to as Equestria. I could never approach them or my daughter...too many questions would be asked. So, for thousands of years, my family and I watched from the side-lines, closed off from the rapidly growing and changing world. I was content with that life, but as everypony knows, comfort never lasts. My sisters had to fight many enemies, even themselves, over the years...I could never help them without revealing myself. It wasn't until the year of the Equestrian Revolution that I realized my mistake...when I realized that the deaths of my siblings, of my young daughter, were because of my incompetence. With their deaths came agony, sorrow, and guilt unimaginable. For five years I wallowed in my own misery, asking myself why the world was so cruel, and why such horrible things happen. I was shaken out of my depression by the last equine I would ever think it of; my young son, Despair. We spoke for hours of the impurities and wrongs that existed in the world around us, and I could feel my heart grow darker. Granted, I knew that the only creature at fault was I for what happened...but hatred made be believe that it was actually the citizens of Equestria, and most of all, Twilight Sparkle. I made a promise, then. A promise to destroy those who had done me wrong...who had done my perfect world wrong, and to become a new King, such as the like of my own father. I took control of the Crystal Empire, once a glorious Alicorn city, and made it my birthright...I began forging an army unlike anything Equestria has ever seen. There would be blood before this is over. On the eve of peace negotiations between the 'Federation' and several of Equestria's other factions, my hoof had been forced into war against the citizens of the dying land. Despite my darker side wishing for the chance to have them suffer, it was not my intention to massacre millions. Against my orders, Despair went to the new capital of Equinia and...unleashed one of the Forbidden Talents. A spell of such destructive magnitude had not be used since the demise of our race...and he had nearly wiped out the entire city. With my foal's horrible choice, we were plunged into chaos. As my heart began to turn to stone, I sent Despair and his twin sister Misery to attack the Changeling stronghold known as the Royal Hive, using the reason of 'tainted bloodlines", but truthfully it was to obtain control of the powerful artifact known as the Tartarus Gate...a creation older even than my father which was said to bring back the souls of the dead. Once again, my orders were ignored and the Changeling race was driven to near extinction. A father's sufferance never ceases... Despair died in that battle at the holed hooves of Chrysalis, a sort of vengeful repercussion against me I would assume. I lost two foals that day...Despair, and Misery. Overwhelmed with grief, Misery opened and used the Tartarus Gate without my supervision, reviving her brother along with numerous more dead...creating the first Chevaliers. I cannot forgive such an atrocity, and I cannot look at the creature Despair has become. Now, I am alone in this miserable, desolate world. My only recourse...is it's complete annihilation. My dear, dear Passion...if only you were still by my side, maybe this world wouldn't be so dark...so cold...so lonely." - High King Pierrot, King of the World, Lord of the Crystal Towers, Master of the Earthly Realm.
  4. ~Twilight, within her office in the Magus Academy~ The alicorn mare gave a icy, brutal laugh. The Elements? "...Discord, the Elements were absorbed into my body a millenium ago. There's no way to retrieve them, and even if there were...I would most likely die in the process. No, I'm afraid..." She paused, blinking before turning to look at one of the books piled on her desk, titled A Glimpse of Spellwork Crafting: The Creation of Artifacts, and trotted over to it, opening the leather-bound tome to a diagram. "...no, no we may not be able to take them from my body, but...what if we can create new Elements? Elements that are stronger, better, grander than the last ones? If we can, it could pave the way to even greater sciences and discoveries. Oh, and save Equestria, of course." She said the last sentence as if it were an after-thought, shrugging before closing the book with one of her hooves.
  5. Alright fellas, due to the lack of interest from outside viewers, I believe I'll make 'Invasion' a Private RP. Of course, we'll leave slots open for whoever is willing to join us later. I will have the RP up and running, and I'll send invites to a private message room to show who will be joining us.
  6. Hello, guys I've been thinking lately about one of the most mysterious and least known MLP villain to date; King Sombra. Truthfully, the two-part Crystal Empire episodes in Season 3 didn't reveal that much about him, much less how exactly the Crystal Empire was during his rule (or before it). Sombra didn't even have a single real line, simply growls and shouts in his beastly voice. So, a marvelous idea popped into my head: why not develop on him more, as well as the Crystal Empire? In my opinion, King Sombra had the possible potential to be a long-time villain in the MLP series (but, as we know, long-time villains don't exist in the MLP universe ) and I think it would be fascinating to bring him back from the dead...for one last go against Equestria and the Crystal Empire. I've done my research on him, and I can accurately assume and predict the sort of actions he would make if he had the chance to strike back at the Mane 6...this could easily turn messy. As we know, almost all of MLP's villains have required some magical force/artifact to be defeated; the Elements for Discord and Nightmare Moon, Love for Chrysalis, and the Crystal Heart for Sombra. How would the citizens of Equestria fare without these special weapons...do you think they would survive Sombra's onslaught? Thus it comes down to you guys. I think an amazing RP can be made from Sombra and the possible troubles he can cause...but I want to hear your opinions on this if they are mostly positive, I'll make it into an RP. Any ideas you would like to add in the meantime will be welcome and appreciated. - Val
  7. ~Twilight, within her office at the Magus Academy~ After looking Discord in the eyes for what seemed like an eternity, she got up slowly, turned, and approached the wide windows at the back of her office. Rolling green hills met her view, as well as scattered trees, streams, and shrubbery...she remembered picking the spot due to its calming qualities. Now, the colours appeared dull to her, and it wasn't just from the brewing rain. "...It has come to pass, then. I wished this day would never come, but..." Taking in a deep, shuttering breath, she continued. "...who did it? Who killed my brother and my sister-in-law?" Her voice sounded odd, cold and deadened, even to herself, but it matched what she felt inside. Shining Armor and Cadence...dead...it seemed impossible, but she knew that one day it would happen. Her research into premonitions once again bit her flank viciously.
  8. ~Twilight, within her office with Discord at the Magus Academy~ She stared at the oddly-shaped creature before her, her face blank and her eyes gazing into his. Then, after a long, long moment, her lips curved upward in a cold smile. "...my my, Discord. I know your jokes and sense of humor change direction every once in awhile, but this is dark...even for you." Grimacing, a plate occupied by a teapot and cups floated over, steam rising from two freshly made glasses. She snagged one of the cups and took a wary sip of it, shaking her head slightly as she put a few sugar cubes into it. "Much to bitter... Now, how about you tell me why you're really here, and the reason Celestia sent you to bother me." She no longer held the reverence she once had for Celestia, due to the amount of years she had lived. In truth, Twilight saw the Princess' rule as a fragile thing...and if she truly wanted to, she could have easily toppled her former teacher and taken the throne herself. If she wanted to, which she didn't.
  9. ~Twilight, within Classroom 102 of the Magus Academy~ Shortly after she finished writing on the board, she turned to find Time standing at the entrance, panting and apologizing for his late arrival. The scene caused a ripple of murmurs among the other students, their eyes glancing from the Spellmistress and to Time. After a moment, Twilight cleared her throat and spoke; "...I see. Young stallion, please find your seat, for we'll discuss this later." Twisting back to her class, she nodded. "Today, we will be learning and discussing the science of Alchemy...one of the few studies that involves both magic and scientific knowledge. For millenia, the goal of every Alchemist is to change any old metal into gold...granted, no method has been found thus far, but..." Her voice dwindled when she caught sight of a raised hand in the back of the crowded classroom, her eyes studying the figure curiously. Truthfully, she was surprised at Discord's sudden appearance; however, as a veteran politician and diplomat, she knew when to replace any emotion with a mask of serenity. In the past, she and her old friends had defeated Discord with the Elements of Harmony, changing him to stone. Until recent years, he had been in his petrified trap. Despite his evident, and perhaps truthful, change of heart...she still felt uneasy around the former Old God of Chaos. Listening to his request, she sighed and nodded. "Of course...we shall take this to my study. Students! Turn to page 161 in our Transformations textbook, and review Transmutation magic." Opening up yet another portal back to her office, she advanced on through. When she arrived on the other end of the portal, it took barely a second to reorientate herself before moving back over to her desk, sitting down and waiting for Discord to come through the portal and explain why he had interrupted one of her classes...that irked her as much as the memories she had of his...'pranks'...in the past.
  10. ~Twilight, within her office at the Magus Academy~ A startling thought occured through her mind as she finished a paragraph in her book. "Oh my...I forgot. There's a class this morning...well, I should have time for this book later. Or...this book could be today's subject." Smirking in satisfaction, she lifted the tome with a manipulated flow of air, and summoned a portal at the center of her study, the other side revealing a university-sized classroom. Moving around her desk, Twilight trotted into the portal, a flash of light signaling her departure. The next moment, she was near the white-board at the front of the room, students who had arrived earlier blinking in surprise at their mentor's sudden appearance. With a warm smile, she greeted those who were already there. "Good morning, class. You all slept well, I trust?" Murmurs in reply echoed throughout the classroom, and she nodded. Students were still arriving, but the bell would ring soon...when Twilight decided it, of course. Everything here ran through magical lay-lines she herself had constructed, powering all devices and systems with endless supplies of magic. Gazing around, her eye noticed an abnormality in the scene before her; Time wasn't here yet. A bright learner and one of her favorite students, he was almost always here...what made him late today? "...I'm sure he has a good reason..." She muttered softly, before turning to the board and beginning to write down some important review subjects from the previous session.
  11. ~Twilight, within her office at the Magus Academy~ Tick...tick...tick...tick...tick... Despite the study's size, the magically-powered clock at the back of the room seemed to make a louder and louder click as time advanced, carrying an echo across the room. Papers lay scattered on the desk and on the hardwood floors, scattered as if a tornado had blasted through the office. Endless piles of books rose high to the ceiling, teetering precariously over the head of the office's current occupier; Lady Twilight. By those amongst the Magus Academy, she was known as the Spellmistress, while those who knew her referred to her as simply Twilight. The Alicorn's head lay resting ontop of an open book, her dark-blue mane lay in a tangled mess, her coat slightly matted. Sleep had overtaken her during another late-night study on a subject of importance to her lately; time travel. She had done it in the past, on accident, but had never truly mastered it. Everything else about magic she understood and could use extraordinarily...except Time. Her eye-lids began to flinch with every tick from the grandfather clock behind her, as if her body were preparing itself for the impending alarm. Suddenly, the sound of the resounding chimes within the clock grandly echoed through the office, reverberating several times and centered on her. When the chimes faded, Twilight's eyes opened slowly, the groggy haze of awakening clinging to her vision. Lifting her head, she gazed about at the mess she had made last night and sighed tiredly, getting up from her desk and chair as her horn summoned a purple glow. A wave of magical essence wafted throughout the room as the hundreds of papers and books were either put back, thrown away, reordered, or simply put in a spot out of the way. It took a few moments till the job was done, causing her to sigh again as she looked at herself in a mirror. Approaching it, she took a comb from one of the drawers in her desk and started brushing out the knots in her mane. Once that was done, she tended to her violet coat next. Satisfied, she sat down at her desk and continued her reading from last night, opening a book titled; The Fragility of Time and Space: How Manipulation Can Harm The Balance of Existence. "Hmph...I figured Starswirl for a philosopher as well, but never a ranter." Twilight muttered icily at the pages. However, she continued to read anyway...she hated not finished a book after opening it.

Nay, it shall turn your entire being to ash upon gazing at the splender and glory that is to come from this adventure! Ride forth, fellows! Claim your places in history!
  13. Alicorn Twilight = even more overpowered Twilight. ESPECIALLY after absorbing the Elements.
  14. The Invasion has begun! Prologue: Six years ago, the land of Equestria was changed forever. Months after the infamous Royal Wedding fiasco with the Changelings, the common populace of Equestria became dissatisfied under the rule of the Princesses. The Principality had finally started to display weakness, and many ponies were finally realizing the problem with their current government. At first, small politcal groups began to appear from the many corners of Equestria, each pushing for a new change in government. Many suggestions were sent to the Princesses...all of which were denied. After a time, the parties began to become aggravated by the deliberate ignorance of the Principality, and separatists started spreading propaganda against the current rulers of Equestria. Difficulties between the Princesses and the common rabble grew to such a degree, that full-separation ensued. The cities of Manehatten and Stalliongrad were the very first to attempt a succession from the rest of Equestria, forming their own internal governments and forming an alliance with each other for survival. It was at this point that the Principality finally took action. Gathering two separate armies, Princesses Celestia and Luna moved to the cities in hopes of regaining control. When negotiations failed...they resorted to brute force. The order was given to exterminate any who got in their way, and resulted in what would later be named the 'Great Purge'. With the destruction of Manehatten and Stalliongrad, what the Princesses had hoped to extinguish only fueled the flames of anger within most of Equestria...setting the stage of events that would lead to the Principality's destruction. It was during this time of strife that a mysterious organization known as the N.E.O. (New Equestrian Order) first appeared. They preached and spread ideas of revolution, recruiting and expanding their influence across the continent. Before long, their strength had grown so great that they willingly waged war against the Principality...with the Changelings as their new allies. The leader of the N.E.O., Red Fox, led the charge against the Princesses with knowledge and power few others possessed. It became the rallying general of the Revolution, and it was the Red Fox's actions which brought an end to the old Equestria. Several battles ensued, creating scars on Equestria's landscape that would never be healed, one of which included the destruction of Ponyville and the annihilation of what used to be the Everfree Forest (now the Everfree Wastes, a dust-ridden badlands). After six months of struggle and bloodshed, the Revolution came to an end with the pillaging of Canterlot, and the execution of the Princesses. Five years had passed since then, and Equestria has never been stronger. Under the leadership and guidance of the G.E.F. (Grand Equestrian Federation, formerly the N.E.O.), the scarred nation prospered and grew, technology advancing at a rapid rate and industrialization inevitable. Despite the stability that the G.E.F. brought, there were others who were still loyal to the memory of the Princesses, and they were resolute against the newly-formed government. The R.L.F. (Royal Liberation Front, made of former R.E.A. mostly) spear-headed the fight against the G.E.F., and once more the nation was a battleground...if in a more secret, cell-like sense. Tensions rise, and the battle for control of Equestria begins. 'Part 1: Revolution' Story Recap: The struggle begins as members of each faction began to proceed with their plans and operations; the G.E.F. search and root out several R.L.F. in a massive operation, severely damaging the loyalist group. Meanwhile, a mysterious group known only as 'Freelancer' began to raid secret G.E.F. scientific facilities, leaving no trace of their attacks or even of their presence. However, they were eventually discovered when the Red Fox and it's right-hoof stallion, Chronarch, arrived at a latest raid. Using his time-altering magic, Chronarch revealed the Freelancer unit which had attacked. With this revelation, the Red Fox sent young Shade Corps agent Applebloom to do recon on the organization. Shortly after, the general of the R.L.F., Free Quickhoof, escaped from Nightwatch Prison within the G.E.F. capital of Equinia (which lies on top of where Canterlot once existed) with the help of the warden, Big Macintosh. With his escape, he searches the city for Princess Cadence, who is rumored to still be alive. He finds her at the home of an old stallion named Gladius (who had once been an old friend of his) with the Changeling Queen, Chrysalis. Forming an alliance with the Changelings, the R.L.F. general helps Gladius and Cadence escape Equinia, so that they may meet up with the R.L.F.'s second-in-command, Commander Applejack, at Neighagra Falls. It is revealed that Gladius had been the one who had executed the Princesses, but had done so only to save the lives of Ponyville's citizens, and that the Princesses had asked him to do so. They arrive at Neighagra Falls, while the Red Fox returns to Equinia and summons the seven Chancellors which served as governors across Equestria...Rainbow Dash being the Chancellor which handled Equinia's affairs. Once the Chancellors convene, the Red Fox reveals itself to be none other than...Twilight Sparkle, former student of Princess Celestia. With her finally out of the shell of the Red Fox, she sends a message out on all communication channels in Equestria, announcing that the Red Fox is dead and that peace negotiations were to occur between the G.E.F. and the other factions. Three days later, the L.E.H. (Last Equestrian Hope), R.L.F., and G.E.F. factions convened at Starlight Hill, a sanctuary of peace and perfect place for negotiations. However, during the negotiations, Equinia is attacked by an unknown force...and almost totally destroyed. The factions rush to the city in need, only to find it filled with unnatural fires, and each work together to put out the fires and save as many lives as possible. Twilight's adopted foal, Azure, is presumed dead or kidnapped by the same perpetrator of the 'Equinian Apocalypse'. In order to save the city, Rainbow Dash took a magical artifact from the Federation's hidden cache and used its magic to extinguish all the fires...but fell into a coma due to the massive amount of energy used. Two days later, a mysterious stallion known as 'The Prophet of Redemption' emerges, and begins to rile up the populace to go against the Federation and the other factions who remained in the ruined city. He then summons the leaders of each faction...and reveals to them the identity of the creature who had caused the destruction; an Alicorn relative of the Princesses named Pierrot, and that he planned to conquer Equestria in search of something known only as the 'Goliath' so that he may rule the world. The Prophet's real name was Lunar Cross, former guard captain of Princess Luna's personal guard and one of the founders of the Federation (and rumored ex-lover of Twilight Sparkle). He disappears, and the factions separate momentarily to prepare. However, the invasion had happened sooner than they believed...far to the north, where the Changeling Royal Hive stood, was soon attacked by one of Pierrot's many armies (which had been taken from the Crystal Empire). Led by two of his children, Despair and Misery, they destroyed the Royal Hive and nearly wipe-out the Changeling race. With the resolution of this battle, Chrysalis and the few survivors disappeared, and Despair laid dying. Their original goal was to obtain the Tartarus Gate beneath the Hive, so that they can gain entrance and control of the Underworld. Now, Misery has activated the Tartarus Gate with her brother's blood...and the war begins.
  15. The Grand Equestrian Federation (G.E.F.): Established shortly after the demise of the Principality, the Federation has served Equestria as a defensive army and uncorrupt political system. While the Federation has helped the regrowth of Equestria exponentially, non-ponies are often disregarded as unimportant compared to actual ponies (except in the recent few weeks). Originally formed from the New Equestrian Order, they have maintained order within Equestria since the Revolution, and act as Equestria's main military body. Leadership is by Twilight Sparkle and seven Chancellors (One of them is Rainbow Dash). The Shade Corps (G.E.F.): An elite special forces unit created by the Federation, they are the result of extreme conditioning and superior combat training, as well as magical enhancement. Shade Corps agents are characterized by their lack of emotion, incapability to feel pain, and their total loyalty to the Federation. Created by Twilight Sparkle when she was the Red Fox, they were first used as body guards, but eventually grew into a spy-network and black ops organization. After the 'Equinian Apocalypse', most of the Shade Corps was destroyed, and as a result they resorted back to their old positions as Twilight's body guards. The Moon Guard (G.E.F.): A specialized group of unicorns that are trained to master both technological weaponry and advanced magic, they act as the official super-warriors of the Federation. Recently created to battle against the Pierrot threat, they are taught and funded by Salus Umbra as a gift to the Federation. The Moon Guard now serve as the fore-front commanders and unit leaders for the G.E.F.'s combined forces. ------- The Royal Liberation Front (R.L.F.): Created from the remnants of the Royal Equestrian Army after the Revolution, this group of Principality loyalists have waged a war of attrition against the G.E.F. for five years. Now, hostilities have been drawn to a close due to the danger presented by Pierrot. They are led by commanders Applejack and Striker (for Free had committed suicide only a short time ago). The Eternium Brigade (R.L.F.): Another gift from Salus Umbra, these highly trained soldiers act as the most devoted and particularly brutal fighters against the Crystal Empire. For the Brigade, each mission is to be completed...or die in order to succeed. Often considered martyrs, none can match their ferocity at the battlefront. ------- The Last Equestrian Hope (L.E.H.): A mixed group of ponies and civilized dragons, they were once a very vicious and hyper-aggressive faction, but now act in the search of peace for Equestria. During the G.E.F.'s reign, dragon hunts were conducted to be rid of the violent creatures, but a few remained among the L.E.H.. Unlike the R.L.F., they hold nothing against the G.E.F. save a few policies, for they agree that the Princesses had to be dethroned, and that many dragons had to be sent away from Equestria. They are commanded by Karrthus (Spike) and Kaalia (Scootaloo). The Dragon Knights (L.E.H.): A unique group of half-draconic ponies, they possess many of the powers and traits of dragons, while retaining some-what equine shape. They are powerful, intelligent, and highly skilled, and almost always use old-fashioned weapons instead of firearms. Salus Umbra had created special armor plating for the Dragon Knights that not only enhanced their powers, but also gave them the ability to transform into full dragons. ------- The Freelancers (F.L.): An extremely secretive organization that had existed only a short while before the Principality's fall, they are the most technologically advanced (if smallest) faction in Equestria. Like the G.E.F., they are a very pony-supremacist group, and as a result only allow equines into their confines. First a scientific experiment, they emerged from the ashes of the Principality and grew into a super-cell of agents, all under the command of the mysterious 'Director'. The Agents (F.L.): Freelancer's top agents and super-soldiers, there are only fifty of them at a time (for each agent is given the name of a state within the United States, odd eh? :3 Ex. Agent Virginia). They are highly trained, professional spies and killers, each with their own specific strengths and weaknesses. They serve as the back-bone and intelligence within the Freelancers. ------- Salus Umbra (S.U.): A faction as mysterious as the Freelancers, but ancient in standing and greater in power. Created after the death of the last Alicorn King, their purpose is the safeguarding of the world and, in doing so, protecting the Goliath. While they have no knowledge of where the King had hidden it, they know all the secrets of the mysterious artifact. Consisting of all races, they are diverse and possess massive influence. Recently, they purchased a Bund outside of the city of Equinia to serve as a visible base of operations, forming an alliance with the other factions. They are led by the ancient unicorn known as 'The Oracle', and seven other Grand Masters (One of whom is Shining Armor). The Grand Masters (S.U.): The collective leadership of Salus Umbra, they represent all of the natural elements of the world; the sun, the moon, magic, water, fire, wind, life, and death. Possessing near-godlike strength, each is incredibly powerful. However, they are only immortal in the sense of aging...they can still be slain. Only one of them (eight in total) was alive during the Alicorn King's reign, and as a result the other seven look toward that one (the Oracle) as their primary leader. With the recent events caused by Pierrot, they have decided to emerge and take action against him. ------- The Crystal Empire (C.E.): Once allies and friends of the Princesses, the Crystal Empire had forsaken the ties it had to Equestria upon the deaths of Celestia and Luna, and had welcomed the rule of Pierrot (whom they believe to be the rightful ruler, since he is the Alicorn King's son). It is ironic that Equestrians saved the Crystal Empire from King Samba...only to eventually be destroyed by the ponies they rescued. Irony is what Pierrot enjoys. With his arrival, their entire empire has become prepared for war, and massive armies await at the Alicorn's beck and call. With his arrival, Pierrot had brought in dragons who had been chased out of Equestria, using them for his own purposes. The Highborn (C.E.): Members of Pierrot's immediate family, they include his numerous sons and daughters, all whom struggle with each other for the throne they will one day inherit. They serve as commanders and tacticians for the war effort, and each have great individual strength. It is rumored that the destruction of Equinia was not by Pierrot himself...but by one of his younger foals. A recent, non-Alicorn member had been added, but as to who it is remains a mystery. The Chevaliers (C.E.): With the opening of the Tartarus Gate, the alicorn Misery had used its magic to revive a numerous amount of dead creatures to serve the Empire, one of them including her own brother, Despair. Vicious, clever, and supernaturally strong, they gorge themselves on blood for strength and are capable of turning into nightmarish monsters. The only sure way to kill a Chevalier is to cut off it's head. While many were revived, only a few had become true Chevaliers, and now they serve as guardians to Misery (the one who resurrected them) and those she wants protected. ------- Story Arcs: The Rise of the Chevaliers: Consists of the events prior to the mass revival from the Tartarus Gate, and first reveals these wicked horrors. (Open for joining.) Blackened Sun: Another of Pierrot's armies has been spotted along the Strand, riding bizarre metal battleships and invading Equestria from the south. Either they are stopped on the coast, or the Strand will be lost. (Open for joining.)
  16. Members of the Grand Equestrian Federation (G.E.F.): Twilight Sparkle: Former student of Celestia and once the Red Fox, she is the commander-in-chief of the G.E.F.. Before the Revolution, she and a friend had traveled to an ancient ruin for research, and while there she had released the Old God, Herald, one of Discord's siblings. Herald showed Twilight a vision of Equestria's destruction in the future, and in order to prevent it, she made a deal with him, becoming the Red Fox and leading the Revolution. She is now free of the deal, and has full control over herself once more. Rainbow Dash: An old friend of Twilight's and Chancellor of Equinia, she serves as a general and governor in the G.E.F.. She is the swiftest flier in Equestria, and (surprisingly) has displayed skill in political maneuvering. Chronarch: A unicorn who once lived in Equestria 500 years in the past, he was imprisoned in a time-warped cell by Celestia, and was later released by Twilight during the Revolution. Being the long-distant ancestor of Twilight, he also has prowess in magic (although focused on time and space), and serves as her right-hoof stallion and Federal Archmage. Draxis: A changeling Hive-lord who managed to break himself and his hive away from Chrysalis' hive-mind with the aid of the Federation, he and his brood now serve as loyal allies of the G.E.F. and he himself acts as the captain of the guard in Equinia. However, that may change soon with the upcoming war. He and his hive felt none of the effects of the Royal Hive's destruction. Draco: A pony/dragon hybrid, he works alongside Draxis in protecting the citizens of Equinia and maintaining order. Recently he has been training with the L.E.H. so that he may fully learn his draconic abilities. Members of the Royal Liberation Front (R.L.F.): Free Quickhoof (Deceased): The former commander of the R.L.F. and rumored ex-lover of Luna, he had committed suicide shortly before the Royal Hive destruction. The reasons as to why are currently unknown, but it is speculated to be related to Luna. Applejack: New commander of the R.L.F. and ex-member of the Mane Six, she took command along with Colonel Striker when Free passed away. Now, she and her faction prepare for the battle against Pierrot. Lavender Bloom: Younger sister of Free Quickhoof and member of the Eternium Brigade, she was kept as a secret by her brother so as to protect her during the G.E.F./R.L.F. conflict. Witnessing her brother's suicide, she blamed it on Twilight Sparkle, and as a result harbors hatred for the unicorn. Star Striker: A fierce, emotionally scarred warrior who had once been a member of the R.E.A., he had lost his love during the Revolution, and had ever since harbored a hatred for the Red Fox. This hatred transfered to Twilight when he found out that she had been the Red Fox. However, those feelings of hate have gradually changed into something else; love, perhaps? Or desire? He now serves as co-leader beside Applebloom of the R.L.F. after Free's death. Members of the Last Equestrian Hope (L.E.H.): Karrthus (Spike): Main leader of the L.E.H. and a hellkite dragon, he was once Twilight Sparkle's best friend (still is?) and views her as his adoptive mother. He had gone his separate way with Scootaloo when Twilight 'disappeared' during the Revolution. Finding a disorganized L.E.H., he transformed it into the faction it is today. Kaalia (Scootaloo): Fellow leader of the L.E.H. and Karrthus' lover, she was transformed into a dragon/pony hybrid when she had been healed of a fatal wound by Karrthus. Alongside him, she serves as the main trainer and leader of the Dragon Knights. Members of the Freelancers: The Director: A figure shrouded in mystery, he is the head of Freelancer. Little is known about him except that he is an equine and male. More information may be known amongst Freelancer Agents, but not much more. Agent Virginia (Applebloom): Former Shade Corps agent, she had changed sides shortly after being captured by Freelancer while spying on their facility. No one knows why she switched sides, for she keeps it to herself. However, it is rumored she has a lover amongst the lower agents of Freelancer. Agent 4-6-9er (Harmony): A fighter-pilot in Freelancer, she is a flying ace and veteran of the organization. She is paired often with Agent Virginia for missions, and flies a Freelancer Dropship. Members of Salus Umbra: The Oracle: Unicorn Grand Master of the Sun and leader of the organization. He has been alive for thousands of years. Salmhofer: Changeling Grand Mistress of the Moon, she is second eldest and serves as the Oracle's voice. Malzahar: Zebra Grand Master of Magic, he gathers both knowledge and magical power from around the world. Ki'Tal Earth Pony Grand Master of Water, he roams the oceans and rivers as a guardian for the mainland. Twin brother of Vo'Tal. Vo'Tal Earth Pony Grand Master of Fire, he safeguards the places under the earth. Twin of Ki'Tal. Azrael: Griffon Grand Master of Wind, he is the best fighter and military expert, as well as the guardian of the skies. He is wrapped entirely in enchanted steel armor. Lienna: Pegasus Grand Mistress of Life, she looks vaguely similar to Fluttershy (but isn't), her duty is to keep the world alive and growing, something that has become difficult due to the fading energy in the earth. Shining Armor: Unicorn Grand Master of Death, he watches over the Underworld and sends the dead to their rightful place. He is the elder brother of Twilight and former husband of Cadence, and was once captain of the Canterlot Royal Guard. Members of the Crystal Empire (Pierrot's Forces): Pierrot: Son of the Alicorn King and elder brother of Celestia and Luna. He has become driven with ambition, searching for the 'Goliath' left behind by his father in the hopes of ruling the world. He is invading Equestria, believing the 'Goliath' lies in waiting there. Misery: Daughter of Pierrot and sister of Despair, after the destruction of the Royal Hive, she used her brother's blood to activate the Tartarus Gate, bringing forth an army of formerly-dead monsters, reviving her brother in the process. Now, she is referred to by the Chevaliers as 'Mother'. Despair: Son of Pierrot and brother of Misery, after the destruction of the Royal Hive he had died in the battle with Chrysalis. Now, revived by his sister as a Chevalier, only two things drive him; revenge on Chrysalis, and the desire to make his sister's wishes come true. Luna: Former Princess of Equestria and younger sister of Celestia and Pierrot, she has been brought back from death as a Chevalier, and serves as a general in Pierrot's armies. Similar with Despair, her goal is the fulfillment of Misery's wishes and revenge upon Twilight Sparkle, who had ended her and her sister's lives. (More bios will be added in the future)
  17. Le gasp! A cynic with honor?! Impossible! A person can't be a good cynic if they have honor! Honor doesn't exist to cynics! P.S. It's a juicy contradiction.
  18. Of course, sire. Although, don't be surprised if Twilight is a wee bit bitter toward the new Mane 6...something like that brings back sad memories. Plus, she'll be a huge cynic no doubt
  19. Yayz. So, if you don't mind me asking...what's the over-all plot here? Is there going to be some significant event? Some new villain? I'm interested in that sort of thing...
  20. Hello, everyone! Part One of the 'Revolution Trilogy' has finally ended, and as a result Part Two will be open very soon. In this new chapter of the story, there will be all kinds of new struggles, drama, romance, and violence...mmm...yummy violence. Anyway, there will be some special new additions to the second chapter, Invasion: 1. Brand new Character Bios which will be displayed on this OOC. This way, character information can be organized easily and available to the current RPers. Plus, this would leave space for more to be added later! 2. New Faction details and Sub-Factions will also be added, so that there is a wider variety of positions and subtypes for new players to join. 3. Special Story Arcs will be created for players to sign-up for and participate in, some of which can be hosted by fellow RPers! Each Story Arc will significantly impact the progress of 'Invasion', and can influence the main plot as well. Anything can happen. 4. With the new Sub-Faction system, players can now form their own 'squads' for use during the 'Invasion' conflict. Since this is a full-scale war, there are bound to be many missions and battles that will occur, each with their own endings. This is linked to the Story Arcs, and there can be exclusive Story Arcs for certain 'squads' who ask for it. 5. Pierrot, the main villain, also has need of a few allies...would you care to be one of them? The hunt for the Goliath is dangerous indeed, and the ignorant Equestrians stand in your King's way. Aid the Heir to the World in his quest to conquer Equestria...and obtain the power and wealth of your dreams. Next come Applications, and here is what I am looking for: Name: Age: Gender: Race: Faction: Sub-Faction: Place of Birth/Starting Location: Physical Appearance: Cutie Mark (If available): History (Back Story): That is pretty much it so far. If you'd like to add an illustration to it, please do we have a comic-artist working on this, and I'm sure he would appreciate any aid with that.
  21. "This has been a difficult few years for myself...indeed, a distressing time for all of Equestria. Six years ago, the land we once knew was ravaged, forever warped by the swaying tides of revolution and change. The Principality is gone, replaced by newer ideals and greater technology. Many of Equestria's old cities and towns are either gone or rebuilt, and even more new settlements are made every day. Equestria is no longer the wild, untamed wilderness it once was...but is now under control, touched by the hoof of civilization. The legacies left behind by the Revolution shall remain for centuries, if not millenia, to come. While many know what had transpired during that unfortunate period, you may not...so I shall inform you, so that you may understand. It was shortly after the Canterlot Royal Wedding when questions began to be spoken amongst the Equestrian populace. Inquiries as to how the current government could defend the entire nation, if it cannot protect its own capital; or why the Principality holds back the advancement of technology and magic, demanding control over many aspects of civilian life. I, myself, had similar thoughts, but I never voiced them. It was during this time that a mysterious, age-old society emerged from the shadows of the criminal underworld...the New Equestrian Order. Born from loyalists of a kingdom long forgotten, they sought vengeance against the Princesses for their brutal take-over of Equestria thousands of years ago, and thus waited for a long time for the right moment to strike...the instability caused by the Changeling attacks offered an opportunity they couldn't ignore. For several months the N.E.O. (New Equestrian Order) gathered followers, preaching a peaceful march toward Canterlot in the hopes of changing the old laws and make government reforms. The N.E.O. knew that the Principality would never submit to such actions...and were glad when the Princesses ignored the protestors and dispersed their crowds with R.E.A. (Royal Equestrian Army) soldiers. With this open intoleration of peaceful assembly, Equestrian dissent towards the Principality grew...until finally Manehatten and Stalliongrad, centers for the growing political movements, seceded from the ruling government. The act of rebellion immediately spurred the Princesses to action...and after a few failed negotiations, the Principality committed its worst atrocity; the Great Purge. When the R.E.A. soldiers abandoned Manehatten and Stalliongrad...all that was left behind was ruined buildings and bloodied streets, corpses piled into bonfires...the sight of such cruelty made my choice for me: I would fight against the Principality. After searching out and eventually finding the N.E.O., I took the reins of leadership and began preparations for war. The only way the Princesses would see the error of their ways now, would be through greater bloodshed. Thus began the Revolution of Equestria...and a string of terrible battles that would later lead to the destruction of several cities, the Everfree Forest, and Canterlot itself. The war did not end until the Princesses were executed in the ruins of Canterlot, and my thirst for blood quenched. With their deaths came about a new era for Equestria, one that would rise from the ashes of the past and bring about a stronger, greater Equestria. The Grand Equestrian Federation (G.E.F.) was born, and every pony under our jurisdiction was equal, free to do as they wish under the law. A senate was created, and a court system established...it was a glorious rebirth, but was it worth the bloodshed spilt for it? As the chosen leader of the new Federation, I rebuilt Equestria from the new capital of Equinia, squashing all former resistance by royalist fanatics. You may wonder who exactly I am...the mystery is over. My name is Twilight Sparkle, Commander in Chief of the G.E.F., and mistress of Equestria. My word is law, and my strength unrivaled. On the fifth anniversary of the G.E.F., several events transpired. A purge against the rebel faction known as the Royal Liberation Front (R.L.F.), numerous raids by the mysterious Freelancers, and treason by the Changelings who had allied themselves with the Federation. It wasn't long before I revealed myself to Equestria, and called for a peace conference to put an end to the needless bloodshed. Granted, it ended in the destruction of Equinia at the hands of the rogue Alicorn, Pierrot, but it brought the many factions together to fight against a growing, greater evil. With Equinia's destruction came the loss of my foal, Azure...even today, my dreams taunt me for what had happened. I will never forgive myself for leaving my foal at the Citadel, even if he was theoretically safer there. For two weeks Equinia was rapidly rebuilt, improved from its original design, along with the forging of the current, fragile alliance between the many factions that exist in Equestria. During this period of stasis and reconstruction came the mysterious pegasus by the name of 'The Prophet of Redemption', spreading propaganda against the Federation and the other factions in Equinia. Eventually, the Prophet had such a hold on the civilians that he practically summoned the leaders of every faction, including myself, to him. Once we had arrived, he revealed himself to be Lunar Cross, former Captain of Princess Luna's guard and a leader amongst the N.E.O. ... of course, I had known that already, for he aided me in founding the Federation, but had disappeared. He spoke of the Alicorn named Pierrot, and a growing army to the far North, which had conquered the Crystal Empire and was expanding its' influence. Shortly after his revelation, Cross disappeared once more...to where, I cannot say. Alarmed at the possibility of Equestria's destruction, we all increased our efforts in preparing for the worst...a week later, news of the most horrifying nature reached us. The Changeling Royal Hive, along with Chrysalis, was destroyed without issue by the mighty armies of Pierrot, led by a pair of twins who are said to be his foals. Rumors and reports suggest little as to their reasons of attacking the Royal Hive first...but surely it must be something sinister. With the Changeling race nearly extinct, many of the remaining Changelings have withdrawn themselves into Equinia's walls or delved into the far wilderness. I had never seen such a despairing sight. Now, the war with Pierrot is beginning. A clash of magic and science, good and evil, has begun...but who can say which way it will go? I do not know whether you will join our side or Pierrot's own...but hopefully, you now understand what has happened to Equestria...and what you must now do." - Twilight Sparkle, Commander in Chief of the Federation, Grand Magus of the Citadel, Caretaker of Equestria.
