  6. As Granny Smith and Uncle Apple Strudel were conversing, they stopped at the sight of the wobbly Fluttershy moving towards them. "Are ya alright, child?" Granny Smith asked. "Is someting dee matter, fraulien?" added Uncle Apple Strudel as the yellow Pegasus mare fainted directly in front of them. "ACH! UNEEMAL!!!" the bearded Earth stallion neighed. "Lands sakes, the poor filly's passed out!" the elderly Earth mare shouted. "Quick brother, fetch me a bucket of water!" "Javol!" Uncle Apple Strudel replied before galloping towards the well. "Snap outta it, child!" Granny Smith pleaded, "gotta admit, fer somepony with a faint'n problem., she sure looks happy about it!"

  11. Granny Smith and Uncle Apple Strudel look on as the nervous Fluttershy's close encounter with Applejack. "No wonder ol' Big Mac ain't delivered mah pie to her yet, she's kinda busy right now," Granny Smith said in a low voice. "Or perhaps Herr Big Mac is too shy to make dee delivery," Uncle Apple Strudel whispered back, "vhy are you alvays trying to play matchmaker for yur grandkids?" "Cause I want some great grandfoals! I ain't gitt'n no younger an' you ain't either, baby brother!" "But love must happen naturally, it cannot me forced, mein sister. Remember several years ago, you tried to get Frau Applejack together vith dat hippie stallion?" "Hay! I liked'm! He had that thar, peaceful nature, around him. Shoot, if'n I was seventy years younger, I'd made a run at'm mahself!" "Mein point is, dat didn't vork, und neither vill your efforts to put Fluttershy together vith Big Mac. You need to stop dis at vonce!" "Reckon ya gotta point thar, Strudel. Besides, I'm thinkin' ol' Big Mac would git along better with that, Marble Pie filly..." "GRANNY!!" "Ok ok, but I kin dream, can't I?"
  12. Going to be gone tomorrow (Nov. 25) and Thursday (Thanksgiving Day) from the net.
  13. Both Granny Smith and Uncle Apple Strudel continued to work, but also kept an eye on Big Mac, wondering how the shy Pegasus mare would react to receiving the pie the big red stallion would deliver to her. "C'mon Big Mac," the elderly green mare said in hushed tones, "give'r that thar pie! Maybe she'd give'm a big ol' kiss!" "Nein, I do not tink so," the bearded older stallion beside her whispered back. "Both Big Mac und Fluttershy are very shy. Dis plan of yours to get dem together is doomed from dee start." "Is that so, baby brother?" Granny Smith asked. "I'll betcha an apple pie it'll git'm talkin' ta each other. Mah apple pie's are downright irresistible!" "Ja, I vill take dat bet. Mein apple strudel vould've been a better choice to give as a gift!" "We ain't got take ta argue, Strudel, gotta git back ta work!" Granny neighed, rushing back to the apple stand to collect bits as her young brother brought forth more bushels of apples as requested. "Look mein sister, Fluttershy is near dee front of dee line!" "I kin see that. Hope Big Mac comes through. Them two youngin's would make a great pair."
  14. Mojo

    We got the Mojo!

Because the pony's name is "Mojo", get it now?
  15. Granny Smith and Uncle Apple Strudel have been working so hard helping with the apple stand that they barely noticed all the 'action' going on in the line. It took Fluttershy's greeting, having been called out by name by the peaceful Pegasus mare that finally got their attention. "Gut nottin' fraulien Fluttershy!" the bearded elderly Earth stallion shouted out to her. 'Howdy thar, Fluttershy!" added the excited Granny Smith, "good ta see ya here!" Then Granny spotted Big MacIntosh nearby and got a very devious look on her face. "Now now mein sister, I know dat look! Vhat are you tinking?" Apple Strudel asked. "Never you mind, baby brother," the elderly Earth mare spoke in hushed voice as she approached Fluttershy. "Been a long spell since you've been here last. I gotcha a fresh apple pie y'all kin take home with ya, free of charge! Don't ya run off, I'll have Big Mac fetch it fer ya!" "I tink I know vhat you are up to now.." "Shush Strudel, take over fer me at the cash collection stand, I gotta go talk with Big Mac!" Granny Smith neighed before galloping off (well, as fast as Granny could gallop) over to the huge red stallion with the horse collar on his neck. "Big Mac, would ya do yur Granny a favor an' go fetch one of them thar apple pies I got sittin' on the windersill at the house an' bring it over ta Fluttershy, please?" the elderly mare said in a syrupy sweet voice.
  16. This coming weekend (July 24 - July 26) I will be attending a seminar out of town and staying at a place with no internet access. So, I'll be away from Canterlot during that time until I return home. See you all when I get back!
  17. As Granny Smith and Uncle Apple Strudel continued the task of bringing more apples to the apple stand, they watched Princess Celestia depart. "So long, Princess!" Granny Smith shouted at the top of her lung, "Don't be a stranger! Drop in anytime ya want!" "Auf Wiedersehen Princess!" added the elderly bearded Earth stallion. "Y'know, she ain't changed one bit since I first laid eyes upon her when I was a little filly. O'course, Canterlot wasn't as glamorous and purty as it is now, neither. Back then, it was a tent city. Reckon they ain't started buildin' any of the big ol' buildin's they got now. Say Strudel, did ya ever have a royal visit over in Germaney when you was a-growin' up thar?" "Ja! She came dere back vhen I vas a younger colt getting started vith mein baking career," Uncle Apple Strudel said, "she liked mein apple strudel so much, she asked for dee recipe! Dat vas one of dee proudest moments in mein life!" "I hear tell the Princess is mighty partial ta cake, think I read that thar fact somewhar.." "Ja! I seem to remember dat she ate a lot of mein mother's apple crum cake dat day also. She even took several of dose cakes home vith her vhen she left too." "T'aint no surprise thar," Granny Smith said before lowering her head in sadness. "Vhat's wrong, mein sister?" "I shouldda gived her one of mah cakes before she flew off. I plumb furgot I have two whole cakes sittin' in the kitchen, ready ta eat." "Vee could have some cake vhen vee are finished here, ja?" "Nope, by the time this here day's over, we're all gonna be too tired ta eat," Granny said as the elderly mare sat down.
  18. To quote Professor Farnsworth from Futurama fame: "Good news, everyone!" My internet has been installed, WAY ahead of schedule! I'm back! YAY!!!
  19. Going to post this up now just in case I get too busy to do it in the near future. I will be moving very soon. The moving van will be here on Monday, June 22. Needless to say, I'll be without internet after that, for a while. I've already been told that I may not get internet hooked up in my NEW home till at least July 1st. So, in that interim period, from June 22 through July 1, I will be offline. There is a local library near where I live, so I MIGHT be able to 'check in' from time to time, but no way I'll be able to Skype or anything elaborate like that. That'll put all my RPs on hold. I will return. UPDATE: It has been confirmed, I have no internet at my new home yet, went there on Saturday. Oh well, that's life!
  20. As Granny Smith continued to stare at the fruit bat, Uncle Apple Strudel's ears perked up when he heard AppleJack calling out another apple order. "Mein sister!" the bearded stallion neighed, "vee have an order to fill!" "What's that?" the distracted elderly mare asked as she shook her head and snapped back to her senses. "An apple order! Why didn't ya say so, brother? Don't jist stand around like that attractin' flies, go fetch a bushel of apples!" "Javol!" Uncle Apple Strudel neighed, giving his sister a salute as he rushed back towards the barn and then galloped back with the bushel of apples on his back. "That's better, Strudel!" Granny said as she took the bushel down and placed it on the stand near AppleJack. "Ya need ta stay alert an' on top of things, like me!" "Javol, Granny," Apple Strudel said as he stood at attention, rolling his eyes.
  21. As Granny Smith and Uncle Apple Strudel continue their work of fetching more bushels of apples up to the apple stand as AppleJack sold them, the elderly mare suddenly noticed Presteza's fruit bat. "FRUIT BAT! FRUIT BAT! WE'RE BEIN' INVADED!" the panicked gray maned mare shouted as she scrambled around in a state of fright. "Mein sister!" Uncle Apple Strudel neighed, "vhat is dee matter?" "IT'S A FRUIT BAT INFESTATION! GRAB A PITCHFORK! DEFEND OUR FARM! DEFEND OUR APPLE TREES! SEND OUTTA CALL TA THE REST OF THE APPLE FAMILY! THIS COULD BE THE END OF SWEET APPLE ACRES!" "Granny! Please calm down!" the bearded stallion pleaded while Granny Smith emerged with a soup pot on her head and a pitchfork in her mouth. "Dat fruit bat you see is a pet of dat unicorn mare. Dere is no invasion! Sveet Apple Acres is perfectly safe! See for yourself, mein sister." Granny dropped the pitchfork before slowly approaching Presteza and her fruit bat. Starring for a moment, the elderly mare began to calm down. "Cute little critter, ain't he?" Granny asked before turning her head toward Apple Strudel. "Why did ya git me all rowed up like that?" "Vhat?" "Why did ya git me all scared like that, Strudel? Plain as the nose on mah face that this here critter's not a threat. Ya gotta learn yourself ta be more calm and cool, like me." "Vhatever you say, mein sister," Uncle Apple Strudel said, rolling his eyes before smiling. "I vill be more patient in dee future." As Granny Smith walked back over to put her pitchfork and pot away, Uncle Apple Strudel walked over to Presteza. "Please forgive mein sister, fraulien. Sometimes she, vell, she means vell but gets easily confused. You do have a cute pet bat dere. Vee don't have fruit bats like dat back in Germaney."
  22. To quote Rarity: "This is THE WORST POSSIBLE THING! I really mean it this time!" I'm writing this from a public library far from where I live. Internet service went out in my area yesterday afternoon and there's no indication of how soon it will be restored. Until then, I won't be able to post or read any posts. UPDATE -- to quote Professor Farnsworth from Futurama: "Good news, everyone!" My net just came back up! YAY!!!
  23. Funny you should mention that, Steel! Latest weather forecast has us under a Winter Storm Watch for 5 inches of snow or more on Monday, coming from Winter Storm Octavia! As it falls, I'll sing out, "You hurt me now, but I won't cry, I am Oc-tav-i-a!"
  24. Winter storm coming to my area this afternoon and evening (2-14-15), could knock my power out. If I'm offline for the next few days, you'll know why.
