  1. Back to evaluating RP Character Apps again! Feels like old times...

  2. Granny Smith, after giving her bearded brother a piece of her mind, listened to Princess Celestia's apple order. "HAY STRUDEL!" the elderly mare shouted, "Princess Celestia jist ordered 23 bushels of apples! Three ta take with'r and the other 20 ta be picked up later on! Bring three bushels up to the stand fer AppleJack ta give out and then go back and set aside 20 bushels, mark'm so ya don't accidentally sell'm off! "Javol mein sister!" Apple Strudel neighed as the bearded stallion went straight to work. Moving very quickly for a pony his age, Uncle Apple Strudel soon brought up three bushels of fresh apples to the apple stand. "Dere now! I vill go set aside dee rest of dee bushels dee Princess bought." "See that ya do, brother," Granny Smith said as she then turned to see what would happen next at the apple stand.
  3. Granny Smith happily neighed in response to Princess Celestia's recollections about their first meeting. "Lands sakes! You sure do have a good memory, yur highness," the elderly mare said, "I have trouble rememberin' what I had fer breakfast this mornin'!" After the blast that sent Uncle Apple Strudel skyward, he fell towards the ground, covering his eyes and waiting for impact with the Earth before Princess Celestia used her magic to bring him down safely. "Danka! Danka Princess Celestia, und I vill remember vhat you said to me!" "Strudel, are ya alright?" "Ja Granny, I am fine." "You SURE yur alright?" "Ja mein sister, I am unharmed." "WELL THEN, TAKE THIS!" the furious mare yelled as she grabbed the tripod and slammed it down on the bearded stallion's head, breaking it in half. "That's fer scarin' ten years outta mah life with that fool stunt of yurs! You ever pull a trick like that agin' and I'll REALLY give it to ya good, got me?" "Javol, Granny Smith," the dazed, wobbly elderly stallion said as tweeting birds circled his head.
  4. Granny Smith smiled at Presteza's words as she accepted the five bit tip. "Why thank ya, Miss Presteza! I'll be sure ta give AppleJack this tip! She sure did earn it, I reckon." As Princess Celestia approached the front of the line, Granny Smith was awestruck and immediately gave her a polite bow. "Your majesty!" the elderly green mare neighed as she bowed momentarily. "Betcha don't remember the first time you and me met! It was a long, long time ago an' I was a little filly back then. Ya greeted mah whole family and even gave us a plot of land ta farm!" Distracted by the Princess, Uncle Apple Strudel readied his huge, bulky camera and aimed it for a quick photo op. The bearded stallion lit the flash powder, removed the camera lens covers and.... BOOM!!!!! Once again, Strudel had used too much flash powder. The sound of the exploding powder echoed all around, the flash it produced was blinding as the force of the explosion sent Uncle Apple Strudel skyward. "ACK! UNEEMAL!" he shouted as he flew straight up in the air. "Strudel! Git back down here, ya crazy galoot! Earth ponies ain't supposed ta fly!" Granny Smith yelled upward as her brother ascended into the blue sky, and was now starting his descent back down....
  5. It's sad when a 9 year old is bullied over MLP and the school reacts like this: http://news.yahoo.com/school-tells-boy-bullied-over-little-pony-lunchbox-131746587.html;_ylt=AwrBEiFHqClToCcAmuHQtDMD

The county this was in is like 2 hours from me.

Also, the same people that said this would probably lose their minds if anybody suggested that the way a woman dresses is "asking to get raped".

Its sad indeed to see this. I think there was some other bronies that heard about it and gave the kid some support. Though this isn't surprising, bronies tend to be ostracized by society today. Granted its by a minority, though I suspect even some people in the majority don't see us in a decent light at times because we like MLP:Fim. I know I keep my bronyness in the closet where I live, due that if people found out I'd be targeted by redneck folk and people from new Jersey, not t...

  6. As Granny Smith waited to collect Presteza's money, Uncle Apple Strudel carefully snuck his big, bulky camera out and set it on it's tripod. "I VILL not repeat mein mistakes dee last time I used dis camera," the elderly bearded stallion thought to himself, "I must get photos of Princess Celestia und Princess Cadance! How often vill dee ever come to Sveet Apple Acres?" As he set up the flash bar and prepared to aim the camera, Granny Smith whispered to her granddaughter. "We got more royalty a comin' through the line, AppleJack. Best put yur best face forward." Meanwhile, Uncle Apple Strudel started pouring out the flash powder, trying not to use too much this time around.
  7. Good news and bad news weatherwise here. Good news? Looks like another big snowstorm is heading north of us, we may get very little snow from it. Bad news? WIND! Winds are gusting here and could lead to power outages. My lights have already flickered a few times tonight so I could lose electric before the Wind advisory ends tomorrow at 11am. My net is also acting more derpy than usual now, probably because of the windstorm. So if I vanish from the net for a few days, you'll know why.

      Don't worry! I heard it's curable.

  9. Granny Smith prepared to receive Carrot Top's bits as Uncle Apple Strudel brought up her bushel of apples. As the bearded stallion looked up and then at the head of the line, he noticed Princess Celestia there. "Look mein sister, it's Princess Celestia!" Uncle Apple Strudel neighed. "I must get a photo of her today!" "Furgit it, Strudel!" Granny Smith protested, "that durn big ol' camera of yurs caused a lotta trouble when ya tried ta take Princess Luna's picture! I ain't gonna let ya do that agin!" "But Granny Smith, how many opportunities vill vee get like dis? Besides dat, I know vhat vent wrong last time. It vas an accident vith dee flash powder und I vill not make dat same mistake tvice." "No way, brother! Yur gonna stay right here an' do yur job!" "Look over dere, mein sister! Is dat Professor Krashkop flying by?" "WHERE? WHERE'S HE AT?" Granny shouted as the elderly mare looked up into the sky. As she continued looking upward, Uncle Apple Strudel snuck away long enough to retrieve his huge old time tripod box camera and supplies. The bearded stallion managed to hide all his camera gear behind the apple stand just as a frustrated Granny Smith turned her head back towards him. "I don't see'm, Strudel! Whar was he at?" "I tink I vas mistaken, forgive me, mein sister." "Maybe ya need yur eyes checked! Yur gitt'n too old! Ya ain't young and spry like ME!" Granny neighed as she started to move around and jump, only to stop when there was a loud 'cracking' sound coming from her hips. "CHARLIE HORSE! CHARLIE HORSE!" In response, Apple Strudel grabbed her uplifted hind leg and pushed it back down quickly, causing another cracking sound. "Ah! Thanks, Strudel, I needed that!" "Now, vhat vas dat you vere saying about being young und spry?" "Hush up and bring up some more apples!" "Javol, mein sister," Strudel said with a giggle.
  10. Hi all! I did make it to my mom's place. As you have noticed, I do have some net access, but it is on a unreliable carrier (neighbor's Wi-Fi) and I am unable to do Skype or Chatrooms. If anyone has any messages for me, PM me through Canterlot.com. I should be able to read and reply to it. Don't know how long I'll be stuck here, I'm anticipating that I'll be here until Saturday afternoon, if the power hasn't been knocked out back home. Situation is very fluid now, I'll try to keep y'all posted.
  11. Both Granny Smith and Uncle Apple Strudel were still in a state of shock over the apparent news of Twilight Sparkle's pregnancy until they both heard the denial by AppleJack. "Whew!" the bearded stallion neighed with a sigh of relief, "I am glad it is not so!" "Mah Applejack's the Pony of Honesty!" added Granny Smith, "If'n she says it ain't so then it ain't so! My granddaughter would NEVER tell a fib! Now let's git back ta work here, brother!" "Javol!" Uncle Apple Strudel said as he brought forward the bushel that Carrot Top had requested. Granny Smith stood ready to collect the bits from the farm mare. "Thar sure is a long line of ponies here waitin' on apples an' kisses, Strudel. Looks like we're gonna have ta work DOUBLE TIME!" "Ja, mein sister!" the bearded stallion replied.
  12. Well, I know this could sound like a broken record, but truth is truth. My area is likely to get a lot of snow from the Winter Storm Pax (I hope they're wrong about this). So, this could mean my house could lose power as early as Wednesday Night (1-12-04) or the next day. If that happens, obviously, I'll be off the internet for a while, possibly days. So if I vanish from Skype and the net, you'll know why. I truly hope the storm misses us. My area's been very fortunate so far this winter, but you never know. UPDATE Looks like I'm going to drive to my mom's house this afternoon (1-12-14) to ride out the snowstorm since it looks like they'll have power there. I might stay there for a few days. May not have internet at all or very limited net. No Skyping or chatrooms, but I might be able to access Canterlot.com and e-mail. That's the update
  13. Granny Smith was busy at the back of the apple stand, counting the bits they had collected so far, so she didn't hear AppleJack's comment about her behavior (AJ would be thankful Granny didn't overhear it) but nearby, Uncle Apple Strudel heard it and gave out a light chuckle. "Hay Strudel, whatcha laughin' at?" Granny Smith asked. "Oh, it is nutin', mein sister, nutin' important at all," the bearded stallion answered back as he resumed his work. Glancing over in AppleBloom's direction, Apple Strudel noticed how the young filly seemed to be daydreaming outloud as she played with the apples around her. "Fraulien AppleBloom!" the elderly stallion neighed in a soft, non-threatening tone. "I tink you are losing focus on our task. Vee have to have dees apples sorted und placed in baskets so your sister can sell dem. Please pay attention und keep your mind on your work. Maybe it vould help if vee sang a song together as vee sort dees apples! I know! Vee could sing a Germaney folk tune! I vill teach it to you, ja?" Soon, the elderly stallion began to sing, in his usual off-key manner: O, du lieber Augustin, Augustin, Augustin, O, du lieber Augustin, alles ist hin. The song of the tone-deaf Uncle Apple Strudel abruptly stopped when he overheard a female voice in the line shout that Twilight was pregnant. "ACK! UNEEMAL! PRINCESS TWILIGHT IS PREGNANT???" The bearded stallion nearly fainted when he heard the apparent news. The old fashioned Germaney stallion was in total shock.
  14. Well, it's that time again. Big winter storm coming tonight in my area (2-2-14). I hope I don't lose power, but if I vanish from the net for a while, you'll know why. Another big snowstorm supposed to arrive this coming weekend too.... I am SO hating winter! Can't wait for spring to come! UPDATE: Looks like we missed the worst of the snowstorm! Just a few inches on the ground and that's all starting to melt! YAY!! I'm SO glad the National Weather Service got it WRONG this time! I think I'll celebrate!
  15. Well, to quote the late American President Ronald Reagen, "there we go again!" Winter Storm Janus is going to be dropping a bunch of snow in my area tomorrow (1-21-14). I hope I don't lose my electricity, but if I do, I'll be gone from Canterlot (and the net) perhaps for many days. So if I vanish, it's the storm. You all have been warned! UPDATE: Looks like Winter Storm Janus didn't dump as much snow in my area as expected, so I'm still here! YAY!!! Still have electricity and internet! HOORAY!!!
  16. Not much time to explain this: Due to a family emergency, I have to leave home very soon today (1-10-14). May not be back online till sometime tomorrow (1-11-14), I hope. UPDATE: FAMILY CRISIS ADVERTED! HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!! NO TRAVEL FOR ME!!! I WILL BE HERE TONIGHT!!!! (does the happy Pinkie Pie dance in celebration)
  17. Scratch that! I'm now 'stranded' at my mom's house thanks to Winter Storm Ion. VERY limited (and unreliable) internet so no Skype chats, but I can access Canterlot.com (as long as the neighbor's slow Wi-Fi connection works) May not be back to 'full' internet status till Wednesday.... :scream:
  18. (ooc): It's interesting how Granny Smith literally 'tackled' poor Professor Krashkop to kiss him and NO PONY in line even noticed what was going on! Oh well...... "You kin take over from here, AppleJack," Granny Smith said with a giggle as she trotted from the front of the apple stand back to her position collecting the bits. Stunned beyond believe at his older sister's boldness, Uncle Apple Strudel's mouth hung open and his eyes were all bugged out for the next few minutes. After he recovered, the bearded stallion addressed Granny Smith. "I cannot believe you did dat, mein sister!" Uncle Apple Strudel began to yell. "Vee old ponies are supposed to act our age, not like some vild giddy foals!" "Ah, give it a rest, Strudel. Ol' Perfesser's got a smile a mile wide on his face!" "Ja, but he also vas left staggering around dee yard till he took flight vith his purchase! Vhat if dere vas reporters from dee Ponyville Express out dere to take photos und write a news story about it! Dat vould be embarrassing for you und Sveet Apple Acres too!" "Stop yur frettin', ya worry wart! Perfesser got his apples, I got mah kiss, we got paid, EVERY PONY WINS!" "But vhat if dee Princesses saw all of dat commotion? Day might ask questions und..." "Think ya better bring up some more Red Delicious and Golden Delicious apples, brother. Gotta be ready fer more customers, y'know!" Shaking his head in frustration, Uncle Apple Strudel walked over to haul more baskets of apples up to the front.
  19. Ok, back from my first journey. But I will be 'away' from Canterlot this coming Sunday (1-5-14) and Monday (1-6-14). Be back Tuesday (hopefully)
  20. May as well post this now: I will be very busy with family business and travel from Thursday (1-2-14) through Monday (1-6-14). During this time, my participation on Canterlot.con will be very limited. Can't be helped, RL is getting in the way of fun, again. Hope everyone here understands my situation. UPDATE: (1-2-14) At my mom's house now. Limited internet. Can't Skype, but I can make posts (if I have the time and net to do it with). Stupid Winter Storm Hercules is wrecking my plans! I hope to be back home tomorrow night (1-3-14) but there's no guarantees. Those I'm in RPs with, please be patient, ok?
  21. When Professor Krashkop took his place in the front of the line, Granny Smith spun around to watch, so fast she knocked Uncle Apple Strudel down to the ground. "Vhat are you doing, mein sister?" the bearded stallion asked. "Lookin' at that thar Perfesser feller!" Granny Smith answered back, "I've always kinda been a little sweet on'm. T'aint fair that my granddaughter's gonna git ta kiss'm." Meanwhile, the elderly Pegasus stallion listened to AppleJack's friendly greeting. "Danka fraulien," Professor Krashkop said with a smile, "I tink I vould like a bushel of baking apples, I hear granny smith's are dee best und..." As soon as he uttered her name, Granny Smith bolted behind the apple stand and gently pushed AppleJack aside. "Ya heard'm, Applejack! The Prefesser asked fer me!" the excited edlerly mare shouted, "And the customer's always right!" "But fraulien, I vas asking for apples, not a pony..." "You said Granny Smith! I'm here and ready ta serve ya!" "But I vant apples!" "I'm an apple! I'm the head of the whole Apple family, sonny!" "But.. but.." "Pucker up, pruneface! Ya gotta kiss come'n to ya!" Granny shouted, grabbing the stunned Pegasus stallion with a stunning borst of love-inspired strength and planted a long, passionate kiss on his lips. Uncle Apple Strudel looked in disbelief as he saw the stallion's legs flailing around while his sister was holding him in a kissing embrace. "ACK! UNEEMAL! GRANNY! LET DAT POOR STALLION GO!" Strudel shouted seconds before Granny Smith released him. Professor Krashkop fell to the ground, dazed a bit from the experience. "Thar ya go, Perfessor! That'll be five bits for them apples, and I ain't gonna charge ya anythin' fer the kiss!" "Dat.. sounds.. vonderba.." the Professor said, staggering to his feet and giving the smiling elderly mare the money. Apple Strudel quickly brought up a bushel of Granny Smith apples for him to take with him. "Feel free ta come back anytime, handsome," Granny Smith said softly, "I ain't had THIS kinda fun in decades!" Professor Krashkop had a goofy grin on his face as he put the bushel of apples on his back and then turned to walk away.
  22. As Granny Smith continued taking in the bits and barking orders to Apple Strudel, she took notice of the elderly glasses wearing Pegasus stallion who was now near the front of the line. "Hay Strudel, lookie over here!" she shouted, "ain't that ol' Perfesser Krashkop in line now?" "Javol mein sister," the bearded stallion said with a nod, "dat's him alright. It is vonderba dat he has come to buy our apples!" "An' ta git a kiss from mah AppleJack! That old coot's closer ta MAH age than his! Maybe I orta be kissin'm!" "YOU mein sister?" Uncle Apple Strudel asked as he burst into laughter. "He vouldn't vanna kiss from you." "We'll see about that, brother. If'n the opportunity persents itself, I'm goin' fer it!" Meanwhile, as he stood waiting in line, Professor Krashkop stood patiently waiting for his turn, completely unaware of the situation.
  23. Another Winter Storm Watch for my area has been declared. Rain, sleet and ice could bring down power lines and if that happens, I could be off the net several days, starting tomorrow. So if I 'vanish' from this website and Skype, you'll know why... UPDATE! Watch has been upgraded to a Warning. Means the bad weather IS coming! I am planning to drive to my mom's place in the morning and probably stay with her at least till Monday. She has no net, so I'll be out of contact with Canterlot till I return home (hopefully with the power back on). So, I will be off the net for the next few days. NEW UPDATE (12-9-13): At mom's now, have limited net access (not a reliable connection and not strong). Can't Skype or chat, but I have been able to post on the website. Hope to be returning home this afternoon.
  24. Welcome to Canterlot.com! There's nothing to fear in RP, but as others here have already suggested, best to read up on the site's instructions for RP. Hope you enjoy your stay!
  25. Welcome to Canterlot.com! I see Quillhart gave you some excellent information on getting started in RP! Nice to see a new brony from Australia with us! Hope you enjoy your stay! :D
