  1. ((Sorry i vanished guys... Other sites i do stuff in picked up on activity and i sort off prioritized them... Urgh, i feel like an ass.))
  2. Actually, i am the new Scootaloo. I really like your Celestia! Very fun to follow!
  3. Firecracker looked between the three, a little bewildered as he tried to keep track of everything they were saying. "First of all, don't get too close, i need to pick up this dud." He said, looking over the sand carefully and picking up a casings that had failed to go off. "No, no. Those were not firecrackers..." he said, holding the casing on his mouth with a nervous look. They had a habit of going off sometimes, though he could usually tell in time and throw them away, it was not like he wanted experimental fireworks going off around other ponies. "Most of those were rockets, firecrackers don't fly." He opened a metal case and dropped it inside, closing and locking it quickly. "They sort of just go off and make lots of noise. Was why my parents picked the-" Firecracker cut himself mid-sentence when he noticed that he was talking about his name and hadn't even introduced himself. "Oh, where are my manners?" he said apologetically. Walking back towards the group, not as nervous now that the dud was in a safe place. "My name is Firecracker, i do displays for a living. I'm afraid that what you saw wasn't a display..." he said, lowering his head a little as he felt it reflected poorly on him if they thought that was a demonstration of his abilities. "It was just a bunch of rockets going off. A real display is not as chaotic... or dangerous."
  4. Wait, you are who? Are you the celestia you linked to? Is anyone else from here there?
  5. OOC: Oh snap, this is alive? i had stopped checking the boards by now! Give me a sec, post is coming. Let me get my Firecracker on. IC: Firecracker jumped in place, startled by the pegasus and his guests. They must have flown in while he was cheering for... himself. This was awkward. - "Oh, um... hello there!" - he said to none of them in particular, lowering his head and taking a step back. - "I'm not causing any trouble, am i?" - he asked, worried that his experimental display may have caused them to drop by. He had tried to choose a secluded spot, but he hadn't strayed that far from the town just in case he had an accident. His nerves had caused him to pretty much skim over everything they had told him, he had completely ignored the fact that they were introducing themselves... Not that it was on purpose.
  6. Sorry, hard to get myself typing. coward here, you see. you know what i have been yearning for the longest time? to roleplay a normal day with someone. Back on the board i come from it was all grimdark and gansters and drive bys and- i better stop there. Amongst this storm of awfulness, i found another roleplayer who was willing to roleplay pages of what qualifies as "nothing". the characters talked, walked around, bought mundane items and otherwise had a good time. I lost my interest in roleplaying there not long after this roleplayer left. The experience didn't feel balanced when it was all salt. I really want something like that again. Something lighthearted and fun. With little conflict and action. Can we go from there?
  7. There's equestria daily, this site and tumblr. Combined they are a triad of pony content distribution sites of epic power levels. A little off-topic, but appledash's avatar is creeping me out. It looks like her eyes are producing pickles that she is then proceeding to eat. Just so her eyes can give birth to more pickles that she can eat.
  8. I came here with the intent of roleplaying. I now find that i am too much of a coward to talk to anyone about joining their threads or starting one. I am fail incarnate.
  9. There is usually a button somewhere in the blog's main page for asking questions. More often than not, they are labeled. The Tumblr user gets the question in his imbox and then chooses wether he wants to answer it. That is what you are asking, right?
  10. That's because you are not a fan of the mecha genre. And you are not alone, i know a lot of people who don't get it. I will explain it as follows: I find a scrap pile, ruins and junked vehicles appealing to look at. Ergo, i am weird and can't explain my fixation with mecha to anyone. My belief is that you are either: born with the "HECKYESROBOTS!" gene, or you're not.
  11. Oh, Megas XLR is an example of what a giant robot anime NEEDS to be. They should ditch all of the emo and pretentious filling and embrace the giant robots and the possibilities they bring. It was an awesome show, because it knew what was it that fans of the genre really want.
  12. Scootaloo and Marty WIN. The level of win is currently being examined. But i currently estimate it to be "EPIC"
  13. A small brown tent laid in the middle of the desert, a wooden cart carefully parked next to it. A row of what looked like small red cans on sticks was neatly laid in front of it. The tent's entrance flap opened and out poked his head a white pony with a red and yellow mane. He looked up at the sky and smiled. There was not a single cloud in sight. - "The desert is just perfect for this kind of experimental work." - The pony said to himself with a satisfied nod. - "Nopony can get hurt and the clear sky makes sure i know if there is any air traffic." - He walked out confidently, a long pipe on his back and a cutie mark shaped like his name on his flank: A firecracker. Firecracker picked up one of the small red cans and placed further away from the tent, digging into the ground with the stick that was attached to it. - "Allright, buddy, lots of hard work riding on you." - he said with a chuckle. He had been preparing this special batch of fireworks for a while now and that which they were meant to do... Well, they were not his life's work, but they were genuinely unique. He grabbed hold of the pipe on his back by it's hilt, unsheathing it from the cloth that protected it from the elements. Firmly holding it in his mouth, he bit hard until a clicking sound was heard. A small flame lit up at the end. The pipe was merely a lighter. He lit a small match at the bottom of the red can and then backed away from the scene, placing his lighter away and hopping behind a nearby rock. Slowly, he poked his head over a corner and stared at the small can with his big green eyes. The match at it's bottom being slowly consumed by fire. - "Come on, don't keep me waiting." - and just as Firecracker finished this sentence. FwoooOOOoo! the sound of the whistler went off as the can took off. Firecracker's ears dropped, as he followed the tiny object on it's flight. His eyes wide with expectation. CRACKHOOM! The sound of thunder went off as an uneven circle of red and white light was formed in it's wake, slowly fading out of view. "YES!" - A loudly whooping Firecracker exclaimed. - "It must be visible for over a mile!" - He proclaimed excitedly as he jumped with joy. He had succeeded in the first try today, and this new firework type was sure to delight plenty of ponies once he added it to his show.
  14. Gainax has tainted me with their unholy aberration. Must be some sort of vodoo thing. :S
  15. On Gurren Lagann: Well, you have to consider that the bane of all that is good story writing and pacing (gainax) worked on it and it was still decent. That, sir, is called an accomplishment of the utmost degree. The first season was over the top and ridiculous, but it managed to keep you immersed just enough to overlook all the weirdness going on. The second season felt completely out of place with the setting and was simply terrible, nothing but a low quality Gundam clone in my opinion. Let me put it simply: This anime almost redeemed Gainax in my eyes. And if the second season had been any good, i would have forgiven them for taking a dump in my brain with Evangelion. Keep in mind, this is all my opnion and in no way am i claiming it as fact.
  16. ADD is my enemy. (diagnosed, not a joke.) I guess my taste in anime is very different from that of the average fan. And i blame Evangelion for that. Lucky Star was okay, it's just that not a whole lot was happening, even when they were making jokes. I did love the segment at the end with the older woman playing a loli and the new guy who had no real idea as to what he was doing. would totally watch an eva revolving around those two. Azumanga Daioh was pretty much the same as Lucky Star, but i found it to be much more enjoyable, overall. And yes, Someone mentioned Gurren Laggan. The first season was epic. Though i always wondered why the humans hadn't stolen mechs before.
  17. I'm criticizing the pacing, it's too slow and not keeping my attention. Not saying anything bad about the series as a whole. Lucky Star is one of the dullest, slowest animes i have watched and it kept my attention for a full 16 episodes. Just putting it into perspective.
  18. Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Stopped watching at first episode during the 8 minutes and 28 second mark. Please, make it stop! It's. SO. DUUUUUUUUUUUULL! It's like Lucky Star, but with even less believable characters and even more dull. How can you make something duller than lucky star? HOW? Can you point me to an episode where it already has picked up? please? I refuse to eat my vegetables to get to my dessert.
  19. lol, they officially ran out of ideas in the 90's when they released titanic. Which was a remake of a remake of a remake of a movie based on an actual story. Considering that the concept of rocky with robots hasn't been done all that often, i am willing to say this may actually be one of the more original ideas coming out this year. Besides, if i can stand the millionth incarnation of gundam, simply to watch the mechas fight. I'm probably going to stand this one just fine...
  20. I keep people away from it, because i know firsthand how thoroughly it can destroy your love for anime. Took me YEARS to like anime again after watching that trainwreck of caca. I am very bitter towards it, and it's impossible to hide it. I don't like talking too much about it. Thereby, i will probably not reply to anything having to do with Evangelion from this point onward.
  21. I really like the art style on that one, very refreshing when most anime looks so homogenous. Unfortunately, having personal issues with homosexuals who can't accept the gender they were born with, the premise is not the kind of thing i would be interested in.\ May still watch it when i'm done with Phil's suggestions, though.
  22. Luckily, they can't mess up established characters with this. As the toys had no personality or backstories to them. Unlike that other robot movie...
