1. Here's another thing. If someone was untended in a coma, how did they receive nutrients? The potted plant being dead in the first episode indicates that Rick was laying there for days, possibly weeks with no medical care before he awoke. His condition would have weakened until he died, before he could wake up. What about waste? How come the bed wasn't totally encrusted, if you get my meaning. Point two. I would have found fuel for the tank, or at least tried to start it! Get that sucker runnin', and you can ride in style right over all the zombies! Going back to the electricity thing. Logic says that the tank was running until the fuel ran out after it's driver died. When Rick managed to get into it, the lights were on, and all the electrical systems were running. How come the battery still had enough charge for that, days/weeks later? Here's an experiment. Go out to your car right now. Turn on the radio and inside lights. Leave them on and tell us how many hours they last. I know a tank has beefed up systems, but we're talking at least a couple weeks here! Oh, one last thing. If one tiny bite from a zombie will convert you, how come getting splashed in the face with zombie gore has no effect? (That's pretty much my question for ALL zombie films) I may be stepping on toes here, but for all it's bouncing boobies, Highschool of the Dead treated the subject better.
2. I stopped watching "The Walking Dead" after I think the third episode of second season. I was getting tired of the writers having electricity work only when they needed it to advance the plot. How was the the amplifier and tape deck still working at the church to make the recorded bells keep on working when the timer triggered them every morning? That made no sense at all. It was almost as bad as the first episode, where electricity still worked in the hospital, EXCEPT for in the stair wells! Go back and look at it. There were flickering emergency lights everywhere, except for where you would actually need them! That's just lazy writing.
3. I'm finished "The Hound of the Baskervilles" , and am back on the Sherlock Holmes short stories. (Reading them in order) I just finished "The Adventure of the Solitary Cyclist". Here's the original Strand magazine illustration for the story. I lucked out. My download has the pictures, and my ereader displays them quite nicely!
4. Mabel's friend Candy is voiced by Niki Yang, AKA BMO AKA Lady Rainicorn!
5. It may be a slight spoiler, so I'll hide it...
6. Mt two favorite AMV. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYqJSBQKkIw This isn't an AMV, but I love it!
7. No I haven't, but I have seen some of the original illustrations. I really should track down a copy.
8. Here you go. I've tried to give a quick thumbnail sketch of my four favorites from the list! (Added links for more details) Harry Harrison created one of my favorite seriocomic series of all time. “The Stainless Steel Rat”. James Bolivar diGriz aka Slippery Jim, is a thief extraordinaire in the far distant future. The stories are all in first person, with Jim telling the tale of his latest caper as he mixes his criminal abilities with skill as a crime FIGHTER to help make the universe safe for all. Jim has traveled in time, headlined a rock band, become president of a distant planet, been forced to join the army, become a magician in a circus, and has even gone to Hell! Have I mentioned that his beloved wife Angelina is a medically reformed psychotic killer? Their twin sons James and Bolivar often join their parents in the latest escapade to save the universe…While taking time to rob the odd bank along the way! http://en.wikipedia....nless_Steel_Rat Sue Grafton is a mystery writer. Her character Kinsey Millhone is my favorite female detective. As in many good mystery stories, Kinsey’s cases are also told in the first person. All of Sue Grafton’s “Alphabet” mysteries take place in the 1980’s, even though ““V” is for Vengeance” was written in 2011. Kinsey is hard as nails, but also vulnerable in a way that makes her quite human. I shouldn’t forget to mention her all purpose black dress! She usually brings it with her everywhere she goes…Just in case! http://en.wikipedia....Kinsey_Millhone Dashiell Hammett wrote two books you’ll undoubtedly recognize the titles of. “The Thin Man” and “The Maltese Falcon”. Both books are excellent, and both were made into movies that are among my very favorites! Sam Spade of the Maltese Falcon is pretty much the genesis of the “Hard Boiled” detective. Both were written in the 1930's, but are just as exciting to read today! http://en.wikipedia....ashiell_Hammett Anne McCaffery created one of my favorite science fiction series (some would say fantasy, but the dragons were bioengineered by the first settlers ) Her Dragonriders of Pern stories are wonderful! On the planet Pern, the human colonists have forgotten their origins on Earth. For the most part, life is good on Pern. That is until the dreaded start of Threadfall! Thread is a deadly organism that consumes anything organic in its path. The only weapon to destroy this airborne menace is the mighty fire breathing dragons, and the brave men and women who ride them! Truly exciting stories! http://en.wikipedia....nriders_of_Pern
9. "Kiki's Delivery Service" is my favorite animated film of all time. There's a gentle beauty to Kiki that is almost as magical as the young witch girl herself. I couldn't begin to tell you how many times I watched it over the years. My other two favorite Miyazaki films are "Howl's Moving Castle" and "The Cat Returns".
10. I'm an author. I will say I love some of the characters I created. I'll even go as far as saying I know exactly what they'd say in any conversation. I don't communicate with them though.
11. Ah, the wonders of the internet. Ever notice that so many people keep claiming they have tulpas, but absolutely NOBODY in real life even knows somebody that met someone who actually does? Personally, I think it's all a bunch of nonsense. Frankly, if I met somebody who claimed Twilight Sparkle talked to him, but nobody else could see or hear her, I'd call an ambulance for him. Why would anyone try to fracture their personality into seperate parts anyway?
12. I haven't got a clue! How did I get stuck with the line that suits me best???
