1. Hey everypony, just a friendly reminder that graphic violence isn't okay on this part of the forum. If you'd like to continue this thread without it (as you've managed so far) then feel free to carry on. If you'd like, I can also move the thread to the 18+ FFA section where you may go into as much detail as you'd like. Feel free to PM me with any questions
2. I have no idea what game you were playing, Dio.
3. When you cleared a room it stayed clear
4. I just wanted to provide this thread as an example of an appropriate G rated romance thread. Once again if there are any questions or concerns please contact a moderator.
5. It has come to the attention of the moderating staff that our FFA section has been used to fish for sexual RPs with minors. OOC discussion threads specifically looking for sexual themed RPs anywhere (including offsite; e.g. "Let's meet up on Skype!") will result in a ban. Please know that the moderator team closely watches the FFA section and we do read the OOC and RP threads that are there. A romantic thread may still be possible but should be limited to themes that would be appropriate for the show. G rated dates, a kiss on the cheek, hoof holding; anything far beyond that may be considered inappropriate. If you have ANY questions or concerns about the nature of your thread and if it is acceptable please ask a moderator. This is the only warning that will be provided, first offenses will result in a permanent and non-negotiable ban.
6. I do appreciate the apology sweetie, but for future reference I'm a woman
7. Hey guys! This is a friendly reminder that the board you're RPing on right now is an all ages board. This means anything that would be inappropriate for a show like MLP FiM is also inappropriate here. This includes things like excessive kissing and discussions of sexual themes. If you'd like to keep RPing with these elements then I can move your thread to our 18+ section. If you'd like for the thread to stay here then please keep it all ages appropriate. - Helix

9. Scotchie, you know I you. I'm glad you're doing what you've gotta do As I've said many times, I'm so glad we met. The fact that we ended up meeting like this just makes it all hilarious!
10. It has been requested that OOC chatter not occur in this RP thread. Please make an OOC chatter thread and continue the discussion there.
11. Saying that you take commissions and want PMs about it, but won't post prices does not equal not advertising your commissions. You may start another thread about your art if you'd like but it should be for showing art/taking requests only.
12. Dear Magi, What is it like to be the great clown prince of the manbabies? Love, Helix
13. I'm going to PAX East! I'll be back on Monday
14. Twilight closed her eyes and appreciated Spike's reaction to her hug. Being with him for a very long time would be nice; however, the idea of them watching time fly by while they stood almost stagnant in it seemed so strange. Twilight never expected - or asked, to have something like this. Celestia has probably seen countless generations of ponies, do they all start to blur together? Would her life eventually be measured in larger units like eras instead of just days and weeks. How could every individual stand out to somepony who watches the ages go by before her eyes? Twilight was very afraid that she'd lose track of what is right now her entire life. At the moment, it all seems to be such a long time and so very important. A thousand years from now, would it really still seem that way? Spike's next statement made the entire situation real. It was out loud and it was true, the two of them were going to outlive almost everyone who they loved dearly. Purple wings rustled nervously as Twilight tried to figure out what to do now. New limbs came with new possibilities for nervous, twitchy habits; something Twilight did a lot. She took a deep breath and said "I'm so happy you're a dragon and not a pony." The thought came out strangely, but at it's core what Twilight meant was simply that she was glad she wouldn't go through this alone... at least for a while. Twi frowned, realizing that even Spike wouldn't be there forever. What if even something as long enduring as their friendship could become a small point in her timeline? Twilight did not like this, and she didn't know what to do. Part of her mind was wondering if it would hurt less to stop finding friends with short lifespans. Maybe it was time to go back to hiding in her bookfort all day. After another moment of silence she asked "How do you live with this, Spike?"
15. Twilight listened to the quiet sound of Spike's feet as he moved gently across the bedroom. She smiled slightly and tried her best to breathe without stuttering. It was taking everything Twilight had inside of her to stay quiet and somewhat in control of her emotions. When faced with a dangerous situation, Twi was fantastic at controlling her emotions and being effective; when left in her own head with upsetting thoughts, she often fell apart completely. This was nowhere near the first time that Twilight had been like this in front of Spike. As always, he was not only a wonderful assistant but also her rock; the one who she could always lean on when she was lost and felt hopelessly sad. This time felt different. This time, Twi's entire world was flipped over and everything she was expecting out of her life seemed to be gone. It wasn't really, but it felt that way. Right now it was impossible for Twilight to see beyond what she lost; the life that would never be.There were good things about this; she was now a princess who had access to all of the knowledge in Equestrian history. Everything that Celestia and Luna could read, she could read too. She had fancy new wings, which would be kind of useful once she got the hang of them. She was also going to be around for the foreseeable future. This was the problem. Twilight felt a gentle weight at the edge of her bed as spike spoke. The scared princess tucked in her new wings and pushed herself up on the bed. She moved closer to Spike and then pulled him into a soft hug, hoping that he wouldn't mind. Twilight quietly murmured "yeah" and then she paused. Still feeling at a loss for words, this was all she could think of. She couldn't just come out and say it, it felt wrong. It felt like it wasn't really happening until she said it out loud. Twilight had not even asked Celestia if alicorns had a known lifespan, or if she was now destined to watch the world forever.
16. Sleep. Sleep and a book; that was really all Twilight wanted at the moment. This whole adventure was just going downhill, it seemed. Twilight was far from alone here, but it sure felt lonely being away from Spike and her friends. She was beginning to realize just how much safer she felt when they were close by. Not entirely lost in her thoughts, she heard Spin Tale mutter about how he'd much rather be back home. Without really thinking about it, Twilight quietly said "Yeah, I know what you mean..." She was not entirely sure if she had been loud enough to be heard. Dr. Tale looked nervous. It was hard to tell if it was because of the accident or the way Twilight looked at the moment. Twi felt safe to assume that it was a mix of both, that had the doctor a little uneasy. Especially when he came over to check on her. Anything he could do? Overusing one's magic wasn't something that could really be healed in a mundane way. It wasn't something that most ponies, or even unicorns really understood. The average unicorn's magic would simply give out on them instead of hurt them if they tried to perform a huge spell without taking time to prepare. Large spells were much easier to perform after the mind is given time and focus to get ready. Twilight was grateful that she could get serious magic done on the fly, this wasn't the first time it's saved somepony's life. However, she always hated the magic hangover that immediately followed. "Oh, I'm okay, Tale. A big spell like that is just tricky when you're not expecting to cast it." She wasn't sure what else to say. Twi didn't really want to complain, and there wasn't much that could be done even if she did. In a few minutes the room would stop spinning so much and her ears would stop ringing so badly. Everything would be fine. Just as that thought floated through the conscious part of Twilight's mind, something crashed in the next room.
17. The moonlight trickled in through Twilight's window as she twisted around trying to roll away from it. She closed her eyes tighter and tried to ignore her new wings, which were nothing but trouble at night. The awkward new appendages made nearly every sleeping position seem impossible. When she was lying on her back, they just seemed to stretch out awkwardly and make Twi extremely aware of their presence. If she tried tucking them in they just dug into her shoulders, which was equally uncomfortable. She finally settled into sprawling out on her tummy; letting her limbs just lay wherever they wanted to. She kicked at the covers until they were down low on her back, not touching her wings at all. The clock ticked loudly and Twilight did her best to focus on it; pour all of her thoughts into the sound, into the very idea of it. Unfortunately, her mind wasn't having any of that. There were too many important new thoughts, new ideas and new fears to consider. I never asked for this. That was all Twilight could really think about as she tossed and turned in bed. During the day while Twi was distracted by her friends and her duties, everything didn't seem so bad. However, as soon as this new alicorn princess was left alone in her own head, she was filled with a sense of loss. She would never again be who she once was; her once planned future meant absolutely nothing now. Twilight - the biggest planner and preparer for all situations, was not given any warning. She had no time, or even any say in what happened to her. The thought of blaming Celestia seemed wrong and unfair, so she did her best to insist that it was nobody's fault; just a part of her life that had to happen. Tears silently welled up in Twilight's eyes and she quickly wiped them off on her pillow. There was a distinct lack of snoring in the bedroom, which meant that Spike probably wasn't sleeping either. Twilight wanted to say something, anything, but she had no idea what to say or how. Instead of reaching out to Spike who truly was her best friend, she just let out a long sigh and did her best not to sound like she was crying. Finally, after more silence and crying... Spike decided to break the silence. Twilight was very grateful for that. Twi took a deep breath to steady her voice and quietly said "Yes." In spite of her efforts, that little quiet yes came out very shaky. She tried again, but she just couldn't say anything else. Twi felt that as soon as she opened her mouth again she just would not be able to stop talking; like everything that was hurting her would just spill out. So instead she just waited to see what else Spike had to say.
18. Twilight winced visibly as Pathfinder poked her in the ribs. She had never been good with pain, especially sudden pain like the headache that was quickly spreading from a point somewhere behind her eyes to what felt like her entire brain. That's the catch with straining your magic without preparing your mind first, it hurts. Twi barely heard what Pathfinder was saying and just shrugged off the mane ruffling, this mare sure liked being hooves on with her friends. A lot like Rainbow Dash in that regard, but a little rougher. At least Dash knew to take it easy, especially after something like what Twilight had just pulled off. With a deep breath to center herself, Twilight stood up again and looked around. Nothing had changed of course, except for the large stack of rocks in the corner and the absence of part of the ceiling. That, and the flickering stars that were now dancing in the edges of her vision. Unfortunately it didn't seem like she'd have time to slowly and quietly pull herself together and let her mind settle. So another sigh and a few blissful seconds of darkness behind her closed eyelids would have to do. Pathfinder was talking to her again, something about tails, and the response she seemed to be looking for was yes. "Oh uh... yeah..." she said, quietly trailing off at the end of her thought. After another moment or two Twilight's ears finally stopped ringing, sort of. Luckily, in that time Trixie seemed to have gotten distracted from the question she had asked. Which was good because Twilight had a shaky at best cover story for what she had tucked away in her bags. It would all fall apart if anybody had noticed her sorting things into different bags, since all of the unimportant stuff she found was going to one side and all of the good stuff was more carefully hidden on the other side. As Spin Tale walked over, Twilight realized that she probably looked as exhausted as she felt. So of course when she tried to perk up and cheerfully said "Happy to help! It was nothing" it must have sounded like she was completely full of horse apples. Spin Tale did have a good point about that upper floor, there didn't seem to be a single way for a non pegasus to get up there. She did her best not to wince when Spin suggested more magic but her ear twitched and her eye might have too, she couldn't tell for sure. "More spells? I think it might be best if we explore up there tomorrow. I might be able to stack those rocks and some other stuff lying around into a staircase." She did her best to sound like exploring tomorrow instead of tonight would be good for the whole group. The last thing that Twilight wanted to do was admit that she was pretty much running on empty now, especially after Trixie had said she could have moved those rocks no problem. Twilight knew it was a total exaggeration, but that wasn't really point. Twilight wasn't sure what to say in response to Pathfinder's braniacs crack. Twi wasn't even sure if Pathfinder was trying to be insulting or not, but based on the way Pathfinder looked awkward before taking off Twi suspected not.
19. Sorry for the post delays, my grandfather is in a hospice and I just can't stress over RP right now. Twilight posts may be delayed as long as two weeks, but if inspiration hits I will write before then.
20. Bolt was a bit thrown when little Haze started getting mad at her brother for calling her a foal. It did seem like she was at the perfect age to start feeling like a big mare and not a little filly anymore. Trying to make the situation a little less awkward, Bolt just tucked in her wings and looked very interested in some leaves that were next to her. Luckily, Haze didn't seem to have much shouting to do and quickly turned her attention to Bolt; the filly was right back to being all smiles. Bolt shook Haze's hoof, but it wasn't long before Haze asked a question that Bolt wasn't entirely sure how to answer. "Oh.. um.. well" she paused to let Carrot speak; at this point she was blushing like crazy. Bolt's cheeks were felt hot and she was pretty sure that there was no way to wiggle out of this one. It would have been nice to have a little more time to think, and talk and maybe have all of this dating stuff come up in private. Unfortunately, life has a way of making lovely moments imperfect; but in the end, those moments still tend to be very nice to look back on. It felt like now or never, she'd just have to say how she felt in front of Haze and hope that Carrot felt the same way. With another nervous half smile and a slight shake in her voice, she looked Carrot right in the eyes "I... If Carrot... wants to?" She had a lot of trouble getting those words out, and it came out like a very awkward question. The three ponies stood there and Bolt opened her mouth like she had more to say but then just closed it again, completely unsure of what to do now. What she really wanted to do was tell Carrot just how much she really liked him, and how much she really did want to date him. Something about having Carrot's little sister there just made the whole thing too hard. So, she took a deep breath and smiled shyly, waiting for Carrot to say something.
21. Twilight glanced at her brother and tried to think of what exactly they were actually looking for. PeeWee was not a big bird so she might be hard to spot. Luckily it was night time and she does glow, she also could have started more fires (but hopefully not!) Just as Twi was about to start explaining what they should all look for, Fluttershy took the lead! There was always a bit of concern when Fluttershy got assertive, since it kinda went to her head sometimes. Luckily it looked like she was really on top of things tonight. As usual, when an animal needs help she gets down to business and gets the job done. With a nod, Twilight lit her horn and looked to her brother "Okay, lets get moving!" Suddenly, doubt filled Fluttershy again and she was apologizing and being nervous. "It's okay Fluttershy, you're doing great!" Twilight yelled. She briefly considered speaking for her big brother and yelling to Fluttershy that everybody was fine with the plan. It might have saved another moment of awkwardness for Armie, but she decided against it and instead just nudged him to light his horn and then took off running down the street.
22. Twilight grinned sheepishly in response to Dr. Tale's coffee joke. She sure wished she had Spike around right now, awkward situations were always a lot more bearable when she wasn't alone. Finally, after a little more awkwardness, the doctor started being honest and the whole situation seemed a lot more doable. "Oh, well.. okay." Twilight said now feeling a little awkward herself. The library's selection of REA memoirs was extremely thin, mostly because Twilight had lent the majority of those books to her brother who may or may not have completely forgotten about them in the back of his closet. "well" She paused again and looked over the little section of books. Finally, her horn glowed softly and she pulled a small notebook off of the shelf. Just as Twilight was about to start explaining the book she had pulled for Dr. Tale, a pony climbed right though the window of her library! Twi watched in horror as the mare knocked everything off of her personal study desk where she had been working on a paper the night before. Small glass jars of ink, delicate quills and books all ended up on the floor; they made awful shattering noises and dull thumps as they landed. As she was distracted by the sneezing mare, the book that Twilight was floating fell to the ground with a gentle thud. The pony who did all of this looked exactly like a real life Daring Do, something that Twi would usually be excited to see. However, under the circumstances, Twilight couldn't do anything but stand and stare in complete shock Dr. Tale started talking to the mysterious mare.
