What makes you think I have particular trouble with this picture? Not having her mane "flowing" was an artistic design choice. Actually in the comics they often do the same thing (not flowing).

Pouty face just the pouty face. Also that subtle usage of color of irises. My making them not firring with rest of the color scheme, you made them more striking. Nice trick.
